Can't display new png picture in jsp

My jsp is going to display jpg picture which is just created in my servlet.
However, the jsp display old picture which is last time created. I think HttP server cache the picture and show the old picutre. I use same picture name for every time.
I use <img source='<%=response.encodeURL("/img/chart.jpg")>'/>
pls give me a hints.

I don't think it is the Http server that caches the image; I think it is the browser. Most browsers won't keep requesting images they already have because they don't expect them to change minute-to-minute. Images normally stay the same for a long time. If your images keep changing, you have to give them new names (maybe use a timestamp in the name).

I create a .jsp report to export the data to excel. the report run OK, except the date field can not display correctly.
for example in database :start date ='01-oct-2003'
in the except it displays to 02/06/02.
It seem all the date field can not be control in the report, and control by somthing else

I tried to do the same, and inserted a database date field in the JSP using Reports. I found the following:
While making the template inside Excel, if I make sure that the format of the date cells is "Date" - some particular date format, the date field values from Reports does not get exported correctly.
However, if you make sure that inside the template, the format of the date cells is not date, but "General", then the date field values are correctly exported to Excel.
Pl try it and let us know.

How can I display a confirm box using JSP?

Dear All,
I am new to the Java language; please help!
What I'd like to do is to prompt the user, within a loop, to click OK to continue the loop or CANCEL to exit the loop. I've tried to use JavaScript in conjunction w/ Form submittion to handle the parameter passing ('true'/'false') of the confirm box to a JSP. Yet, every form submission will cause the JSP page to re-load from the top which is the incident I'd like to avoid.
Is there anyway I can have a confirm box written using JSP? Please help!!

if you do any modifications in the jsp page the whole page will be refreshed to show the latest result after modification.
if you dont want the whole page to be refreshed
you can pass the control to another page after the confirm box or you can use frames to your interest.

Can Not Display Normal Chinese Chars in JSP

Hi,
I am displaying some chinese chars in a normal JSP file but it show me some
funny things. If I get the data from the oracle and the information is chinese,
then it display correctly. And I try another thing that I save the noraml JSP
(without any java code) to a html and it is working fine. Same content, if saved
as HTML, then ok. If saved as JSP, then got problem. I am using weblogic 6.1.
There are somewhere need to be configure or... Any idea for this? Thank you

object?In the past, I've carried the font file around with me. Given the number of graphics files, properties files and
other assorted garbage that apps are already carrying around, it's not too unreasonable to have to add a
TrueType font to the list of hangers-on (unless it's the size of Arial Unicode MS - 23Mb is a big ask sometimes)!
Given that TrueType fonts themselves are essentially platform-independent, I don't see it as too much of an issue. But that's just me and my experiences! ;-)

that.....Most definitely -- check out the java.text.DateFormat object and its cohort java.text.SimpleDateFormat.
For example, if you wanted to display the current date in MM/DD/YYYY format, you could do the following:

<% And later on, you could have... %>

How can I display Chinese Character correctly in JSP

Dear Expert,Now I develop web application which using CR report, the development tool is IBM RAD(rational) and the database is DB2 UTF-8. Because need user to input something in JSP, so the programmer use "GB2312" to convert to insert into the database. But when I create the crystal report and view in the web, the Chinese character can't disply correctly, like "???????", even I formated the font in report, doesn't work too.And I set the report JSP charset to "GB2312" or "UTF-8", both of them failed. Hi Steven, It sounds like you are on the right track to get the Chinese data to appear up correctly in the report. Can you tell me if you are using the JSF viewer or the JSP viewer?From what the developers are telling me the following should work:For JSP viewers to set content type correctly you can either use <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" %> Or response.setContentType("text/html;charset=UTF-8âu20AC) or simply call viewer.setOwnPage(true); if it not necessary to blend with other pages. For JSF viewer the third option is not available.What does your JSP page code look like? Also, what does the output look like?Finally, one last thing is to ensure that the font you are using in the report is available to the engine at runtime. This will mean that it wll need to be installed on the application server where your JSP page is running. Give this a try and let me know what you find. The jars should be in your installed Crystal Reports folder( \Crystal Decisions\..\java\lib or something like that...). The problem is that your server (Tomcat and others) ignores the system classpath completely (it sets its own in its startup script).
Therefore, in order for Tomcat to find the jars, those jars have to be placed in in %CATALINA_HOME%\common\lib\. There, they will be available for all your applications. If you don't want them available globally, put them in your particular webapp's WEB-INF\lib directory.

Is this iPhoto on your Mac? Are you referring to the photos that were in your iPhoto LIbrary prior to the upgrade to iPhoto 11? If so then apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - run Option #4 to rebuild the database.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button and select the library you want to add in the selection window..
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.
If that's not what you're referring to then you should describe what is happening in more detail. Remember we can't see your Mac or your iPhone so need detailed and accurate descriptions of what you're experiencing.
Also we need infomartion like do you have an iCloud account and are you logged into it on all of your devices, iPhoto and Mac? do you have Photo Stream enabled on both.

I don't think you can. You might ensure that their creation dates are in order, but I'm not so such that will help. Ordering seems to be a feature limited to use with iPhoto/Aperture.

i need to display a message box whenever an error comes in my jsp. Actually my appln is that i am creating a bar chart using one applet by taking data from the database. When a user does not select a number data for y axis, now in the centre of the web page one java error is coming. "not in number format". it is looking very odd.
so i want to display the error in a message box whenever it comes as above. pls help me how can i do the same...

displaying as a message box?Either way. You can have the JSP send a message to the applet to display a message box. Or you can just have the JSP do it. or you can have the applet detremine if the JSP would produce an error and then display the message it would display.

You can change the scene by calling stage.setScene(new Scene(newContentParent));
I don't think you are quite asking for a complete scene change though as you "want the main window and the scene in one stage". The main window is a stage (as Stage extends Window). And a given stage can only contain one scene at a time (though you can swap it out by calling setScene as described earlier).
What I think you are really asking for how can you replace some content part of the active Scene on the Stage. To do that you can set a layout manager like a HBox or a BorderPane as the root of your scene, then change out the content of the layout manager. For example:

layout.setCenter(new Label("Dogbert");
final Button nav = new Button("Next");
layout.setLeft(nav);
nav.setOnAction(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>() {

As I understand, you would like to know how to create photo albums on your iPhone? This is possible only by first moving your photos onto your Mac or PC.
On the Mac use iPhoto to sort your pictures into albums then sync them back onto the phone via iTunes.
On the PC sort your photos using folders or software like Adobe Photoshop Elements then sync them back onto the phone via iTunes.
