Error message asking me to verify that I have access to a directory
When I clicked the iTunes icon on my desktop to open iTunes, Windows automatically began to configure iTunes. This was until a point in which an error message came to my screen asking me to verify the fact that I have access to the directory "Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resource\nl.Iproi\iPod Help.chm" and stating that Windows had an error writing to file: C:\Program. Can anyone help me?
Poor thing ... you've been having a hard go of it lately with iTunes and QuickTime.

Those sorts of messages can be produced by disk damage near the files in question. So perhaps try running a chkdsk over your C drive:
How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does iTunes start launching properly again afterwards? -

Can you browse the Time Machine drive from Finder?
If you can and you know where the picture was stored ie on your desktop you can browse through the folder structure to the picture copy it and paste it somewhere on your new install before right clicking it and 'set as desktop background' -
I am having a lot of trouble downloading itunes. My latest error message is that MediaToolbox.dll is missing. I have been trying to fix this for three days now .And it all started with the last update .Can anyone help?
Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7, now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP, head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

I have an A1288 ipod touch I bought about 3 years ago. I am currently trying to download an app however the I'm getting an error message which is essentially saying that the "ios" I'm using isn't up to date and the itunes summary says otherwise?
Other forums state I have to buy a new one but what happens when this happens again I think I'm moving to another brand this is crazy?Yes, there's a limit, and that iPod touch has reached it.

I am trying to download an update to my iphone, but in the middle of the download, I get an error message that reads, 'There was problem downloading the software for the iphone. The network connection timed out'. Any idea how to reslove this issue?
Hi Robertfrom Denver.
Did you try the solution given, and if yes, did it work?
I have done several "attempted downloads, and see the full file download, typically taking 30 minutes to complete, and then something goes wrong.
I am happy to suspend AV and FW software, but would like to know if it is a good fix or not first?

I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader. The upgrades indicate they were successful but I still get an error message when I try to open I-Photo telling me I need to prepare the library
I-Photo won't open even though I have upgraded to OS X Yosemite and downloaded the I-Photo upgrader.
But have you run the the iPhoto Library upgrader? It is installed in Applications > Utilities. Launch it and direct it to your iPhoto library.
Which version of iPhoto did you upgrade from?
The upgrader is only necessary, if you have been running iPhoto7.1.2 or earlier. -
Hi- I keep getting an error message show up when I sync my iPhone to my Mac Book Pro. the message is that I can't copy to the Macintosh disc because I don' have enough access privileges. Then when I click ok my phone gets stuck syncing. any thoughts?
Sounds like a possible permissions issue, try repairing the permissions using Disk Utility.
You can open Disk Utility several ways.
1. Use the Spotlight in the Upper Right corner of the screen and search for it, then click it to open it.
2. Open a new finder window (File> New Window)
- Applications>Utilities>Disk Utility
3. Click on the Finder
- Click 'Go' in the menu bar across the top of the screen.
- Click Utilities, then double click on Disk Utility.
Once Disk Utility is open there should be a column on the left side, the name of your hard drive should be listed there.
(By Default it is named Mac HD or Macintosh HD)
Click on it to highlight it.
There should then be a few buttons you can click
- Verify Disk Permissions
- Repair Disk Permissions
- Verify Disk
- Repair Disk
Click Repair Disk Permissions -

I get this error message when I try to back up my laptop:
' Time machine could not complete the backup. The backup disc image "/Volumes/Data/Lou Ann Buesing's Mac Book Pro. sparse bundle' is already in use. "
Anyone know how to fix it?Reboot the TC.. Sometimes you need to reboot the whole network.
This is what comes of Lion and then made worse in Mountain Lion of Apple not spending enough time to fix the bugs.

C17 can be related I think. -
When I receive an email request for a meeting, when I open it I get an error message asking if I want to revert to server, try again or ignore. If I choice revert to server it deletes the event, if I choice ignore it accepts it but won't sync with my other devices.
Interesting suggestion, but it's not clear to me how I would do that if I'm not using an "(at) icloud.com" email address/account. I am having the same problem with changed invitations that come from an organizer who is using Google Apps. My email account is hosted at my ISP - it's not obvious to me how I can use iCloud to access that email account (and therefore the changed invitation). Suggestions?
