Can't get iCloud mail on iphone

when i go to mail on my iPhone, i try to log in to my iCloud account and it says the account has already been added, but i can't get to the mail for my new @me account on my iPhone

You don't have to go to iCloud.com on your iPhone.
Just tap the Mail icon in the Dock.
Apple - iCloud - Learn how to set up iCloud on all your devices.

  • Can't get iCloud mail on ios devices via wifi

Starting this afternoon, I can't get iCloud email on my wifi iPad. "Cannot get mail the connection to the server failed." Same thing on my iPhone. In order to get iCloud mail on my iPhone, I have to turn off wifi, and turn on Cellular Data.

Same problem on all my devices. No mail. haven’t received mail since this morning. All was working fine before. Deleted acct in mail preferences (lost all info and mailboxes) and still getting ‘The server returned the error: The server “p99-imap.mail.me.com” cannot be contacted on port 993″ also tried 143. Now I’ve lost all mailboxes and access to all iCloud mail data. ? Any ideas what’s up?

how can i get icloud on the laptop

Your laptop must be running a minimum of Lion 10.7.2 - Mountain Lion preferred. Earlier systems cannot access iCloud.
If you have a suitable system the procedure is to sign in with your Apple ID in System Preferences>iCloud. You will see a checklist including Mail, Calendars and other types of data: check the ones you want to sync to iCloud (note that Calendars and contacts will be actually moved to iCloud and read from there by your Mac and other devices).

  • Have Mtn Lion on iMac, Snow Leo on MacBook - can't get iCloud mail.

My mail stopped working on Black Macbook since I upgraded my desktop iMac to Mountain Lion.  Is there a work around to get mail without upgrading the laptop to Lion on Macbook? Mountain Lion will not install on the Macbook.

My mail started working.  I went to mail prefs and tried to change the incoming mail server to "imap.mail.me.com" but it was grayed out. So I tried to set up new account. It told me that user name already had account - I saved changes anyway without adding incoming mail server imap.mail.me.com.
So then my macmail all started downloading - Not sure why. Could be because I used  [email protected] instead of   [email protected]
Tech support had just told me on the phone that there was no way snow leopard could get icloud mail. She said there was no alternative to upgrading to Lion OS 10.7.

  • Can't get iCloud mail on my MacBook Pro. I used to, but not now.

I have been traveling, and using all sorts of servers to get my mail through the mail program on my MacBook Pro (Blue stamp icon). But now I am home, and the problem that started while over the road is continuing.
Under iCloud, the mail icon is checked. Under accounts, the only place blank is the IMAP Path Prefix. Port is 143, and SSL is checked. Authentication is Apple Token.  Checked are also "include when automatically checking for new messages" and "compact mailboxes automatically"
Any help to get my mail up and running again?
    Thanks in advance.

You're going to have to give us more info than "I can't get net flix to work."
What have you done to try to get it to work?
    Have you installed Silverlight?
Have you activated you Mac with NetFlix?
How are you accessing NetFlix? (Browser, Boxee....)
    Exactly what is happening?

  • How can i get iCloud on my iPhone 3g it doesn't have software update or any graphics plz help

please help how can i get graphics and sftware download on my iphone i have no update on my ph either

If you have a 3G you can't use iCloud as iCloud requires iOS 5 or higher and the 3G cannot be updated beyond iOS 4.2.1.
If you have a 3GS, update it to iOS 6 by connecting it to iTunes.  If you aren't prompted to update, go to the Summary tab of your iTunes sync settings and click Check for Update.  After updating you can set it up as shown here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html.

  • Can't get iCloud mail

    Hi all ,
since some days if I try to access my iCloud mail (@me.com account) via iPhone I get the following error:
Cannot Get Mail: The connection to the server failed.
Please note that when I initially setup iCloud, a couple of months ago, the mail worked fine. And of course now other email accounts work normally.
    Any suggestions?

Same problem here. After contacting support I had to:
    - disable/enable mail in settings->mail...
    - restart iphone
    - deleted icloud account from iphone
    - factory restore entire iphone
This did not (NOT) resolve the issue
This is not good at all . Since the problem is on the connectivity between the iPhone (or iPad) and iCloud mail server, there should be a way to test if the connectivity is ok, and to understand hence if the problem is on the device or on the remote site.

  • Can't get icloud mail to work today, on and device, is there a problem with server?

Anyone else with same problem or anyone can tell me how to sort it out please?

I too am having the same problem. Whats the point of having a server status stating everything is working when clearly it isnt. I'm just in the process of changing all my important mail stuff over to gmail - I just cant be without mail for hours whilst there is no status update.
I would understand if this were a free service - however its not.
Does anyone have an ETA on a fix ?
    Thanks

  • How can I get iCloud mail on my Kindle Fire?

I followed the destructions, er I mean instructions on the Help page for SMTP setup, tried a couple different variations of authentication, but ultimately, nothing works.

The correct settings are listed here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4864
(note that SMTP is the outgoing server)
It's necessary for the email app in question to be able to handle IMAP and SSL, and I don't know whether the Kindle does this.

  • How can I get my mail app to sync from my mac to iPhone, I don't have the 'info' option in iTunes?

How can i get my mail app to sync from my mac to iphone? i dont have the 'info' option in itunes!
I have created files within the mail app and want them to be the same on my mac and iphone.

You need a mail server that supports this then. Hotmail premium I believe does, but the free version does not. Gmail supports it, and any ISP that offers IMAP supports this capability. iCloud definitely supports it, so if you create a free iCloud email account and switch your primary email to it you would have this capability.

  • How can I get iCloud on my PC to 1) update my new e-mail automatically and 2) alert me to new e-mails?

I've started using iCloud on my PC to manage my e-mail / calendar / reminders, because Outlook stopped syncing correctly with my iPhone.  However, it seems like to the only way I can get iCloud on my PC to update my e-mail is to select the Get Mail icon at the bottom left of the email screen.
How can I get iCloud to 1) update my e-mail automatically and 2) alert me to the arrival of the new e-mail?

The issue here is an expectation the program will or can do something when it is not running. (At least I think that is what your saying.
I leave Thunderbird running for days at a time, as it does not clof up my task bar, simply leaving a rectangle around it's icon on the task bar.
while running like this is puts up new mail notifications a small box in the bottom right of the screen and places an icon in the notification area on the task bar.
What happens to this options I have no idea in Windows 8. I bought it but never installed it because it would not boot to the desktop. But as Windows 8 still has a taskbar, I assume they all do exactly the same things.

  • Can't get iCloud to back up on IPhone 5. Have 7.1 GB available. Backup keeps failing while I am plugged in and connected to wifi

Can't get iCloud to back up on IPhone 5. Have 7.1 GB available. Backup keeps failing while I am plugged in and connected to wifi. It will show backing up now and estimated time 20 plus hours and always ends up failing after a couple hours

You need at least 50 MB of free space in order to back up to iCloud.  Rather than backing up, have you tried importing the photos to your computer and deleting them from the camera roll as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083?

  • My iphone has calendar history for 10 years.  my icloud only shows about 6-8 weeks back.  how can i get icloud to show all the calendar events in the past that are on iphone?

my iphone has calendar history for 10 years.  my icloud only shows about 6-8 weeks back.  how can i get icloud to show all the calendar events in the past that are on iphone?

I encountered a similar problem when finally (and with much regret) I was obliged to migrate my MobileMe to iCloud last month.
Many years of iCal history vanished without trace during this automated transition by Apple and iCloud then kindly synched the resulting vacuum back to iCal on my Mac.
Fortunately, iCloud wasn’t able to decimate iCal on my other Macs because (1) they are still running Snow and (2) I had switched them off as a precaution.  Good job I did.
My solution was to export my iCal data on one of those other Macs to a backup file – then I imported that backup file into my Lion-updated Mac’s iCal. That restored all the iCloud-deleted iCal data back on to my Mac and this was promptly synched automatically to my Calendar on iCloud.  So now it’s all there and showing.
Perhaps you could do something similar?  In the meantime, be very careful not to let iCloud’s amnesia get synched to your iPhone (and other devices).
Experience has taught me never to trust an “upgrade” until it is proven to be working correctly and always to keep in reserve another Mac with a properly-functioning system and all synching to it switched off...

I can not get my mail to sync between the devices ... deletions do not delete, etc...  Mail provider is from our ISP.  On the Macbook Air we are using Mail, and of course for the iphone (4S) and ipad (mini) using the mail app supplied.  Thanks.
