Can't get rid of Deprecated Warnings when implementing HttpSession

We are implementing HttpSession, for a mock object for testing. However, it has methods that access a deprecated class (HttpSessionContext). Although we mark our implementation of the method that accesses this class (getSessionContext) with the annotation @Deprecated, we still get two error messages as follows:
Warning:Warning:line (8)[deprecation] javax.servlet.http.HttpSessionContext in javax.servlet.http has been deprecated
One warning comes up on the import line for the interface HttpSessionContext, and one on the declaration of the getSessionContext method.
We are using Java 5, with the -deprecation flag.
Is there no way to get rid of these warning messages every time we compile? (We can't turn off the flag just for this one class, because we are compiling from within an IDE (IDEA) that doesn't seem to give us that option.)
Thanks.

  • How can I get rid of app upgrades, when I no longer have the app?

How can I get rid of app upgrades , when I no longer have those particular apps?

If the app is no longer installed on the iPad then you should get prompts about updates to it in the App Store app - as efectively there is nothing for it to update. If you are being prompted to download updates to them then are you sure that they are no longer on the iPad ?
If you are being prompted on your computer's iTunes then if you delete them for the App part of you computer's Library then you shouldn't be prompted about them.

  • How can I get rid of signature warnings in forms?

I was using LiveCycle to create and store about 100 forms for my company. Recently I started redoing all the forms in Acrobat Pro v9 so I could use the same field names in merged documents, something I couldn't do with LiveCycle.
Adobe Reader users are complaining about dialogue boxes and menu bar messages directing them to "Click 'Sign' to fill out and sign this form. When done, ou can save a copy by checking 'Done Signing'." There are no signature fields in any of the documents, although Acrobat's form wizard inserted many during the original creation of the document. I removed all signature fields and substituted them for plain text fields. Apparently though, the original signature fields leave behind a remnant that warns users about them ... even though they no longer exist.
What can I do get rid of this warning in the new forms I've created and ensure that signature fields are not inserted when I create new forms using the form wizard?

  • What is the white dot on my ipod screen?  i can't get rid of it even when using apps?

If I click on the dot it brings up a translucent screen with other options: Favourites (star) Home (home button) Device (picture of an iphone) and the circle (gestures).  No matter what I do I cannot get rid of this icon and it is driving me mental!

Just did a further search and found that my question was alreaxdy answered by Jandt - thank you!

The white dot is the button that brings up AssistiveTouch which allows you to use your iPod if you have difficulty touching the screen.
To turn this function off, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch > OFF.

  • How can I get rid of multiple tabs when I open Yahoo

When I open Yahoo.mail, I get many tabs for Yahoo.
    I should only get one.
How do I fix this so I'm not getting all these tabs. This started when I switched from Mail Classic to the New Mail & back again. Many of the excess tabs are for the Yahoo page that describes the two different versions of Yahoo mail.
    I'm using a MacBook & both Yahoo & Mozilla are up-to-date.
    Thanks!

The suggestions didn't work HOWEVER I found a solution to my issue with this. So far it seems to work.
    Go into Firefox Preferences>general
I reset the opening page from Yahoo In Box (which seemed to be the problem) to the default. Opened it all up then returned to Firefox Preferences & reset it back to Yahoo In Box.
Now it seems to be working ok without all those nasty tabs slowing me down.

  • Now that I've downloaded Firefox 4 I have a Yahoo toolbar which I don't want. I can't get rid of it and when I try to find my menu toolbar it isn't there, even when I hit ALT. I am extremly frustrated. Can anyone help, please?

I lost my Google toolbar but finally retrieved it, and cannot display my menu bar, which I need in order to print, etc.

    Hello,
In Firefox 4, you don't have the menu bar by default. You can view the menu bar by right click on the bar near the TAB's, you'll get a menu with choices, among the choices is "Menu bar" check that and you have your menu bar back.

  • Can't get rid of Photoshop frame when saving image

Hello! I'm having a very frustrating time saving an image from Photoshop to a CD. I hope you can help me.
I have an art piece that was professionally photographed and saved on CD. I recently opened the image with Photoshop Elements and cleaned it up. I tried to save the image (gave it a new title so it wouldn't replace the non-edited original) onto the CD, but when I did, the Photoshop frame (the layers screen, photo bin, etc.) was saved with it. I just want to save the image. How do I do that? Thanks!

Sounds like you took a screen shot. But more likely, your computer is set to open images in photoshop hence the PS frame. Try saving the image as a JPG and opening it with a preview function rather than the default PS.

  • Can't get rid of Microsoft VM when trying to instal Sun's Java

In the last couple of days, we have tried to troubleshoot two users (Win 98 and Win 2000) over the phone who were trying to install Java from the Get It Now link on the java.com website, yet no matter what, the Microsoft VM is still being used! We have tried the manual download as well, and have also had the users go into their IE's Internet Options and scroll down the Advanced tab to uncheck the JIT item in the Microsoft VM section, but that doesn't seem to work (whenever they go to Sun's page for testing your JVM, it still says they're using the old Microsoft VM). I found a website for removing the Microsoft VM on Windows XP, but nothing for earlier versions of Windows. Besides, shouldn't this work? We have thousands of users who have successfully installed Java on Windows and to use with IE, so why the problem all of a sudden?
I've also tried submitting for help on the contact page on the java.com website, but none of the few times I've submitted there in the past few months have I received any help. I know Sun might be laying people off like crazy, but does that mean no one is manning the fort?

  • Can't get rid of stock photo when using iWeb but publishing to non-MobileMe

On one of my pages I have a vertical column of photos with my photos from iPhoto that I dragged and dropped into iWeb. The page was originally based on an iWeb template, though I cannot remember which one.
The problem I am having is that the stock photo sometimes shows up when I publish the website - even though I have dropped a photo in the space, saved it and re-published it. I have gone into the files and deleted the stock photo and I even went to my webhost and deleted the stupid thing there as well. Regardless, the #*!!%@ thing keeps showing up.
I have reloaded the page to my webhost multiple times. I had the same problem a day or two ago and eventually the stock photo stopped showing up, but I have no idea what kind of hocus pocus made it finally disappear and the correct photo show in its place.
    Any ideas?
    thanks,
    roxpat

It is apparently an iWeb issue. In the template that I used, I guess some aspects are just "in there" and are not able to be removed.
I ultimately removed all of the photos from the page since they had originally started as "drops" into the placeholders and put my photos in manually (not a big deal, of course). I saved it and "published it" to the folder. . .and there was that stupid photo again. I yanked the photo and put it in the trash and went to my webhost and removed the same photo. . .and finally the stock photo went away.
Every time I update the site (or those pages, anyway), I have to go in and remove that #%^#^& photo.
The moral of the story is that I need to just rebuild the page from scratch - without a template. It shouldn't be too hard, but it's more effort than I want to exert at this point

  • Can't get rid of black boxes when form is printed

When I save a form to PDF there are visible black boxes around the feilds in the form. I thought these would go away once it printed but they are still there and make the form look cluttered. Any idea how to fix this?

    Hi;
There is no option in FormsCentral to modify the fields text input box borders.  You could edit the PDF in Acrobat and remove the border.  In the screen shot below I removed the border color from the top two fields, in the bottom two fields I added a fill color so you could see the input box and it doesn't just blend in with the page:
In this screen shot the form has been filled out, and this is how it would print:
If you are going to edit a FormsCentral PDF in Acrobat take a look at this FAQ first:  http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3661

  • TS3899 How can I get rid of a wrong email count on inbox?

I have set up my BT email account in settings, and it works fine.  Except that although the inbox if empty there's a constant icon on the home screen showing 13 emails in the box.  I can't get rid of this, even though I have set up the email twice now. What's going on and how can I get rid of the score when the box is empty?  It just counts up from 13.  (ipad mini)

    Thanks.
I tried that, waited for the Apple to appear.  But when the home screen appeared - just the same.  So I deleted the account (bt internet).  Re-set as before.   Then set up the account again.  still have 13 emails showing and nothing in the in box.  Annoying.  I think this is because I delete some (13?) emails from the online access to the inbox (on a laptop) but it's out of synch with the ipad.  Neither account has any emails but the ipad thinks it's got 13 I have deleted.  But they are not there!!!
    Thanks anyway.

  • My friend's apple ID shows up when I want to update my Apps. How can I get rid of it and see my own instead?

On my iPhone I see my friend's Apple ID when I want to update my Apps and can't seem to login with my own. What's wrong? How can I get rid off my friend's ID and login with my own when I want to update or download apps? I went to Itunes Store in Setting and checked if my ID was still there, and it is so I have no idea what's wrong.

I'm still not clear about what you mean about unlocking your phone. Normally, "unlocking" means entering the password if the phone is locked, which you should be able to do from the phone itself. If you want more help with this, you really need to take the time to furnish all the relevant details.
I have a MacBook Pro, and yes when I connect my iPhone on it it shows up in the devices list.
When you do that & click on the iPhone in the list, then click on the "Apps" tab at the top, do you see the apps you can't update listed there? If you click on the "Store" menu item does it show near the bottom that you are logged in with your own Apple ID?
As wjosten said, it sounds like one way or another, the apps you cannot update were obtained using your friend's Apple ID. You need to delete them from your phone & try buying them again. If they were in fact paid for with your own Apple ID you won't have to pay again; otherwise you will.
