Can't load client application at OC4J (9.0.4) start

I have an EJB application with a client application (set in my orion-application.xml file) that connect to a database to check username (I have my own UserManager).
When I deploy my package (OC4J started), the client application is loaded correctly. But when I restart OC4J, I have the folowing error message :
" RoUserManager.getDataSource - Error in lookup of datasource : jdbc/RouteOptimiserDS exception is Not in an application scope - start Orion with the -userThreads switch if using user-created threads".
I'm using the "-userThreads" option, and DataSource is correctly configured in both local and global "data-sources.xml" config file.
It seems like the client application is started before OC4J has loaded its DataSource configuration.

Can you try the "-updateConfig" option of admin.jar?
java -jar admin.jar ormi://localhost admin Matrox -updateConfigTo my vague memory, the "-restart" option does not necessarily implies reading the config files again.

I did try with directrory list in the Webutility demo form, but when the number of file is near to 1,500 its giving error.

Hi,
What is the error you are getting when you reach 1,500 records? Can you post it? You mentioned you are using the webutil to load them. How you are loading? From the client machine you are loading to the database directly? Can you post the code you are using for that?

Can't Load HFM Application from Workspace

We are running Financial Management 11.1.1.2.
I have an overseas user that suddenly cannot load our HFM application in workspace.
She was previously able to do this without issue. She can log into workspace ok. When she clicks on the application, the Icon just spins and it never loads.
She has tried on multiple machines from her location. No other user in this location has the issue, and other users can log into HFM from her machine.
If she logs into our Citrix server (local to HFM Servers) she is able to load the application.
Since she is able to login locally and not over the WAN I would think it was a network issue but other users in her location have no issues.
Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Marcel,
In Oracle9iAS R2 9.0.2, ias_admin is the only predefined admin user you can use to deploy an application (the Enterprise Manager website runs on it's own OC4J instance, config files are located in $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/j2ee/config, the admin user ias_admin is defined in $ORACLE_HOME/sysman/j2ee/config/jazn-data.xml). Futre release of Oracle9iAS will allow you to define additional admin users.
BTW, what's the purpose to deploy applications using a different user?

How can I catch Client Application crash?

Hi all.
I'm developing a client application, which makes several long-time operations on its server.
These server-operations are started, monitored and stopped by my cllient, during a "normal" lifecycle.
The problem is: if my client unexpectedly shut down (i.e. system crash or interruption by task manager), how can I catch this event, in order to send the "interrupt" to the server and stop the current thread?
I tried to add a WindowListener on the Main Window of my client app, but it doesn't work... any other idea?

How do I find the bookmarks file when I can not load the application? I.e., I can not get to the library.

My laptop died. The hard drive is in a case and accessible. It is connected to a 10 year old Pentium. How can I retrieve the bookmarks file from the Laptops drive when I can not load Firefox from that drive? I.e., I can not get to the library on the Laptop drive. I do have full access to it.

You can locate main bookmarks file, '''places.sqlite''', for restoration in another Firefox install, in your profile directory.
Since you profile is on another hard drive, the normal shortcuts to find it won't work.
On Windows XP, you can find the profile here:

Can an EJB client application access to EJBs on two domains concurrently?

It is well-known that there can be multiple domains in a SUN application server. If two domains are started up, can the same EJB client application call different EJB methods from the two domains? If can, how to implement? Please kindly give a snippet of sample codes.
Another question: can EJBs among multiple domains communicate with each other? If can, tell me how to implement and had better provide some sample codes as well.

Where can i load classpath info in oc4j parent application?

i want to load classpaths at the very container level of the OC4j instances..
so that all the web applicatins can access them..
in one of the orion-web.xml files i have
<classpath path="file:/C:/m2mi/workspace/classes/" />
<classpath path="file:/C:/m2mi/conf/" />
what file at the root level can i modify to make OC4J container itself load these classpaths?

You mean you want OC4J to have a set of classes that it makes available to all applications?
The easiest way to do this is to put the JAR files into the j2ee/home/applib directory. The contents of this directory are mapped to a shared-library (global.libraries) and imported into the root level application (system) and thus are visible to any deployed application.

I can't download any applications on my macbook pro, it starts but then nothing happens

Every time I try to download any application, for example today I am trying to download Gimp for Mac, the window goes blank and in the browser it looks like it's loading but then nothing comes up. I have tried creating a new user account but the same thing happens when I download in that one. I think it is a system issue but I am not technically minded and so struggle to figure out what is happening. I can download itunes, apps from the app store. But nothing else. Even flashplayer updates don't download. Can someone help me because it is increasingly frustrating! Hello, can someone help me to solve this problem?
I've written a client Application.(just one file Client.java) Then I created a .jar file for my applicaiton component and loaded it to the server using loadjava. (MyExample.jar)
It should be invoked by a procedure, which I've created.
create or replace procedure TEST as language java name 'MyExample.main(java.lang.String[])';
But when I want to start it in the SQl*Plus using "call TEST();", I received the message:

As Andrew suggested, it might be an issue with broken java installation on your system.
You could try performing following steps to see if you get similar results. This will verify if there is something with your java installation or something to with the way you coded your java class(es).
(since you did not post the code, I'm not sure which one might be a problem.
