Can't read my container

hi everybody,
i am working with the teststand API und C#, and i have following problem:
i wrote a programm that automatically create a sequence , and insert a container as Parameter in this sequence. The problem is that i can't access the elements of my container when i try to work with that sequence manually.
 Sure i can see the, container and the elements but when i try an assignment Teststand throws an Error. I don't understand why it is like that. here are the properties i am using to create the container and insert it in the sequence:
//get the "parameters" property object
PropObjParametersCallBackMainSequence =PropObjCallBackMainSequence.GetPropertyObject("Parameters", 0);
//create Parameter Limits and get his Property object
PropObjParameterLimits = EngineObj.NewPropertyObject(PropertyValueTypes.PropValType_Container, false, "Limits", 0);
// add the parameter Limits in the "Parameters" of the callback sequence file
PropObjParametersCallBackMainSequence.SetPropertyObject("Par_", 1 , PropObjParameterLimits);
//save the callback sequence
CallbackSeqFile.Save(SaveLocation + "\\" + TestName + ".seq");
Limits is the name of the container type i've defined. Limits contains 3 elements : upperLimit, LowerLimit, and Unit.
I hope somebody can help me.

Teststand 3.5
Visual Studio 2005

Noubissi,
you tell us that TestStand throws an error. What kind of error is that? what does it satet?
Another thing is, if the code sniped displayed above is all the code
regarding generating and inserting the parameter into your sequence,
you will have problems to access subproperties for sure since there are
none in the container. you will have to generate subproperties for the
container before trying to access them....

  • Can´t read page containing XML using GET HTTP Document

    Hello forum users,
    I'm have a problem with the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit and I'm woundering if its me that is doing something wrong or if it is a limitation of the VI.
    I have a robotic application which comunicates with LabVIEW via internet.
    the robots sends and receives information via XML which is posted on a webpage.
    I've been trying to use the LabVIEW Internet Toolkit's GET HTTP Document. while I can obtain HTML data from any webpage when I try to access my webpage containing XML data  I get an Error 66 (connection closed by peer message).
    What is even stranger is that on two distinct occasions the program returned the XML data
    The page is set up so that when accesed (for example http://192.168.0.102:4950/move.cgi?op=setVel&vel=300). It will define the robot's speed at 300 mm/s and return a page with a simple XML data such as
    <result>true</result>
    When I access the page in using the Get HTTP Document, the request is sent. the robot does the action required but the XML data I need isn't returned.
    I have applications that do this in C++, python, and MatLab, without a problem and I didn't want to have to resort to low level TCP/IP functions.
    any suggestions???
    Is this a limitation of the GET HTTP Document VI (it only gets HTML documents)
    Thanks in advanced

    Hi, Bruno.
    Maybe my case will help you. I've faced a problem similar than yours. I have a network camera whose API is HTTP based, I mean, I can control it using HTTP requests, i.e. http://myserver/axis-cgi/bitmap/image.bmp
    takes a picture and returns it in bmp format.
    There are other requests that can send data back, i.e.
    http://<servername>/axis-cgi/com/ptz.cgi?query=position
    retrieves pan and tilt degrees and zoom value (it is a PTZ camera or pan-tilt-zoom, it has two joints that rotate left-right and up-down, and a zoom). In this case, the information is sent in plain text. But I had like you an error 66 in TCP Read.vi.
    After debugging "Get HTTP document.vi" I noticed this information is sent back, but due to the error in "TCP Read.vi", it's not transmitted to the remaining TCP functions in execution order, and finally is lost.
    In order to debug "Get HTTP document.vi" you'll need to unmark "Reentrant execution" and mark "Allow debugging" in VI Properties->Execution.
    The information string enters "TCP Read.vi" by the terminal "buffer in", and leaves it by "buffer out". The next function, "TCP Read Stream.vi" receives also this string, but it's lost in case there's an error in the entry error cluster. So I removed the wire the connects this two TCP VIs, and finally got the string at the "content" terminal.
    It may not be the most orthodox solution, but at least it let me continue working. If anybody has fixed this issue conveniently, it'd would interesting to share it with us.

  • I have the latest downloadable version of LR5.  It crashed while it was createing 1:1 previews during an import. After a Win7(64) restart, it shows a message that LR needs to quit because it can't read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next

    I have the latest downloadable version of LR5.  It crashed while it was createing 1:1 previews during an import. After a Win7(64) restart, it shows a message that LR needs to quit because it can't read the preview files and it will try to fix it the next time is launches.  I get the same message the next and every subsequent time it launches so I can't launch LR at all now.
    I get that the preview file got corrupted somehow.  Is there some way to fix this problem without building a new catalog?

    Use Windows Explorer to open the folder containing your catalog. You will see a folder with the extension .lrdata. You need to delete that folder and then start Lightroom again. Lightroom will generate a new previews folder.

  • How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?

    How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?
    I have made a LabVIEW program where I have possibility to read a PDF document.  When I made this LabVIEW program it was Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 that was installed on the PC. Lather when the Acrobat Reader was upgraded to version 6.0, there was an error when VI tries to launch the LabVIEW program. And Later again when we upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 I must again do some changes and rebuild the EXE files again
    It isn't so very big job to do the changes in one single LabVIEW program, but we have built a lot of LabVIEW programs so this take time to due changes every time vi update Acrobat Reader. (We have build EXE files.)
    The job is to right click the ActiveX container and Click "Insert ActiveX Object", then I can brows the computer for the new version of acrobat Reader. After this I must rebuild all the "methods" in the Activex call to make the VI executable again.
    Is there a way to build LabVIEW program so I don't have to do this job every time we update Acrobat Reader?
    This LabVIEW program is written in LabVIEW 6.1, but I se the problem is the same in LabVIEW 8.2.

  • How can I read a file with ASCII Special Character into a SQL table using SSIS 2008?

    I've tried everything to read this file and am getting no where.   Help how can I read this file and load a SQL table?
    RS - AscII - 30  (Record Separator)
    GS - AscII - 29 (Group Separator)
    Thank you for your assistance - Covi
    Mark Covian

    We can use script component as source/transformation to read the text file and assign the contains to a string. Split the string by chr(30)  i.e RS and finally stored into an array or write to the output buffer of the script component.
    For example on how to use script component refer this link

  • Can't read NEF files in PS CS4 w/ Nikon D600

    Have new Nikon D600 and CS 4; read Adobe Camera Raw 7.2 is the one to download. Did that but still can't read my NEF files. Is there another version i should be using? Thanks!

    Specific versions of ACR only work with certain versions of Photoshop.
    The ACR 7.2 will only work with CS6.
    You should remove ACR 7.2 for your CS4 because it will never work. Also having more than one version of ACR can screw things up.
    Do you still the ACR of CS4? I believe that 5.7 is the newest that works with CS4.
    You can download this from Adobe but read carefully all the instructions.
    Older verions of ACR are never updated to deal with newer cameras.
    To be able to open your Nikon D600 NEFs you have to use a slight workaround.
    Download Adobe DNG Converter 7.3 (note DNG not ACR)
    With this installed you can convert your new NEFs for your D600 into the Digital Negative Format (DNG) which then can be opened in older versions of ACR like yours.
    Its a 2 step process, but it is the only way when dealing with newer cameras and older version of Photoshop.
    Note that in the DNG converter you convert the folder that contains the NEFs rather than attempting to convert a single NEF.

  • JPG files unreadable in cover flow and preview but can be read in quicktime

    After upgrading to 10.5 some jpg files (canon 30D shots) can not be shown in cover flow or preview. Also the files will not import in iPhoto (import hangs). The files can be read with quicktime.
    If I press 'get info' for the folder that contains the jpg's the Finder seems to crash, and quickly restarts.
    If I try to open the file in preview, nothing happens (while other jpg's are fine)
    If the files are transferred to another mac running 10.5 the same problem occurs
    Permissions seem to be ok
    Any suggestions?

    My problem is similar.
    Create a file in Illustrator CS3
    Open File in Photoshop CS3
    Save File as JPEG
    - Quicklook - Crashes Finder
    - Get info - Crashes Finder
    - Drag into Mail - nothing happens
    - Open in Preview - nothing happens
    - Open in Photoshop - all ok
    Workaround - Open file in photoshop and Copy and paste into a new document.
    Guess that strips out some Metadata.
    This is also what caused a Numbers.app file from opening - the document had a jpeg imported. Solved by showing package contents on the numbers file and deleting the offending jpeg.
    This is reproducible on 10.5, 10.5.1, Intel and PPC systems.

  • How can I read color from frond-end PC

    Hi Everybody,
    I have en HTML- control in my GUI and I would like to adjust back ground color of my HTML page to actual client color scheme. Does anyone known how can I read the color settings from client pc?
    Best regards

    Hi,
    If you are using LOAD_HTML_DOCUMENT method to load the repository object, then pass a merge_table which contains an instruction to replace the background:
    TYPE-POOLS SWWW.
      DATA: l_merge_table TYPE swww_t_merge_table,
            l_merge_item  TYPE swww_t_merge_item,
            l_html_table  TYPE TABLE OF w3html,
            l_html_line   TYPE w3_html,
            l_url         LIKE me->url.
        CLEAR l_html_table.
        l_html_line = ' '.  " No background color, use default
        APPEND l_html_line TO l_html_table.
        l_merge_item-name = '<!BACKGROUND!>'.  " Tag to be replaced
        l_merge_item-html = l_html_table.
        l_merge_item-command = ' '.     " blank means replace tag line
        APPEND l_merge_item TO l_merge_table.
        CALL METHOD html_view->load_html_document

  • Iphoto can't read scanned photos

    New mac user. trying to create a slideshow and add a few songs. first I can't seem to see scanned images in iphoto. I copied the scanned images to the library but the photos do not show up. When I try to copy them I get an error message that the files can' be read /Users/qfamily1/Pictures/iPhoto Library/First date.jpg is the format.
    Second, What is the easiest way to create a slideshow? I am trying to put one together with background music. I did figure out how to create one with the default settings but it seems to only want to let me pay one sone during the show and loop it. any suggestions?

    thehumann:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. What system version are you running?
    The quickest and easiest way to create a slideshow is to build it entirely within iDVD. IMO this gives you the best image quality when played on a TV set and allows you to add titles/subtitles to selected slides. The downside if your a fan of the Ken Burns effect is no KB effect.
    In iPhoto put the photos in an album and in the order your want. Open iDVD, select your theme and click on the "+" button at the bottom to create a slideshow. Double click on the slideshow to get into the slideshow itself. There, go to the Media/Photos pane, select the album and drag it to the window on the left. That's it. You can select your transition, iTunes playlist containing your preselected songs.
    When you have the iDVD project as you'd like it, use the File->Save as Disk Image menu option to create a disk image. Now you can open that disk image and play it with DVD Player to "proof" the project before committing to disk. When you're satisfied with the project burn it with Disk Utility using the slowest speed possible, 2X if possible. That will ensure the best burn and most compatibility with the many set top DVD players out there.
    You might notice a slight pause at slide 99 and 198 (if you have that many) as the DVD standard only allows 99 chapters (each slide is a chapter) and iDVD starts the numbering over a 1 at those points. If you use quality DVDs and burn at the slowest speed that pause will not be that noticeable. But with poorer media and faster burn speeds some players will stall at #99.
    Also I like to put a blank slide at the beginning and end of the slideshow for a better entry and finish.
    Good luck.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Reading file containing byte data

    I am trying to read a file containing data that is in byte format. I can't look at the file and have no idea what is in there. For my first pass I would just like to see what the format is of the data in characters. Is there an easy way to do this? This is what I have done so far:
    //file is read from another method and is passed in here.
    try {
    BufferedReader f = new BufferedReader(new FileReader(file));
    String t;
    while ((t = f.readLine()) != null) {
    byte b[] = t.getBytes();
    System.out.println("bytes " + b[0]);
    System.out.println("chars " + (char)b[0]);
    catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    The output is looking like this:
    bytes 72
    chars H
    bytes 74
    chars J
    bytes 81
    chars Q
    bytes -56
    chars ?
    Which one is the character value of the bytes? I am assuming the char one, but it sure seems like funny values. Also, I want to read the whole line and then get the whole line converted, not just the first byte. Isn't getBytes just getting the first byte? How can I convert the whole line after it is read (f.readLine())?
    Thanks.
    Allyson

    Well, I tried that and it still gives me just the binary or byte data (I have no idea what kind it is - I know I can't read it when I try to open it with notepad). There is a current application that uses this file and opens it and provides the data when it is opened. I am trying to look thru that code to find out what it does, but it is very confusing. It is written in c.
    Any other ideas out there as to how to open and display the correct data in a file like this? When I did the binary data open this is the kind of data I got:
    char in new loop Q
    char in new loop
    char in new loop @
    char in new loop
    char in new loop @
    char in new loop @
    char in new loop
    char in new loop
    char in new loop @
    char in new loop L
    char in new loop `
    char in new loop :
    char in new loop @
    I know that data is mostly numbers and maybe a few names, but nothing like that.
    Thanks.

  • Javac can't read filename.java

    Hi
    my problem is that javac can't read filename.java
    i have saved the source code as filename.java under text document file type and i kept the capitalization the same for the[i] filename and classname but i am still having this error message: "error : can't read : filename.java" .
    does that have anything to do with windows xp that i am using or there is absolutely something else that prevents javac from reading and compiling the file?
    please help
    Kind regards

    The only 2 reasons that I can figure out why you are getting this error is either because your java file has not been properly named ie. filename.java or else then it is not in the same location ie directory from where you are trying to run your compiler.
    Thus you need to run the compiler from the directory that contains your java source file so it really does'nt matter where you have saved your java file on the machine as long as your path is set to your j2sdk /bin Just cd your way to that directory where you have the java file and run the compiler javac

    Can a single form contain two regions? One region would be unique to each application. The second region would be reused on several applications. Is it possible to put both regions in the same form?
    I tried it, but I am new to APEX. I would greatly appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I am using APEX 3.2
    Thank you.

  • How can I read epub ebooks from public libraries?

    Hallo,
    how can I read ebooks in epub format I have downloaded from public library on the iPad? They are valid for 7 days, I can open them with Adobe Digital Edition.
    I get them into iTunes, I even get them on the iPad. But I am getting an error message when I try to open them with iBook.
    If iBook can't read them, is there another app I could use?
    Hopefully somebody could help.
    Thanks, foxbetti

    how can I read ebooks in epub format I have downloaded from public library on the iPad? They are valid for 7 days, I can open them with Adobe Digital Edition... If iBook can't read them, is there another app I could use?
    You've answered your own question. Basically, you use Adobe Digital Editions (or Sony Reader Library) software which is keyed with your valid Adobe ID to manage content downloaded to an "authorized" computer for transfer to compatible "authorized" mobile devices. However, as far as I know at this time, the iPad is not yet supported by either application.
    Here is what Adobe says:
    Some digital publications that you purchase online or check out from a library may contain digital rights management (DRM) protection that restricts the items from being shared with others. In the past, this could limit the ability to read your items on additional computers owned by you. It could even prevent you from moving your items when you bought a new computer.
    Digital Editions helps ensure that your eBooks and other digital publications are not "locked" on one computer — they are assigned to you through your Adobe ID. Digital Editions also adds support for the next generation of mobile devices.
    Adobe membership is free and registration only takes a minute. As a member, you have access to trial downloads, hundreds of free product extensions, and special community areas. Your membership also allows you to view and manage your activity in the Adobe Worldwide Store.
    An Adobe ID is a free and a nonintrusive way of identifying users — you need only provide a name, country, and e-mail address. You can create your Adobe ID when prompted within Digital Editions as you authorize your computer, or go directly to the Adobe.com membership site.
    Once you authorize your computer with Digital Editions, the application looks for eBooks already on the computer and converts copies of the items to a new named account license. You can then transfer those eBooks to other computers. If you have eBooks on multiple computers, you need to authorize each one with Digital Editions prior to transferring eBooks between them.
    Important: Digital Editions converts eBooks that have been purchased with Acrobat, Reader, or earlier versions of Digital Editions. However, items licensed using Easy Activation can only be converted on the same computer with which they were originally purchased. If you are contemplating buying a new computer, changing the hard drive, or upgrading the operating system, consider keeping your old computer intact unless you bought all of your books with Acrobat or Reader using Named Activation.
    Digital Editions detects borrowed eBooks and displays them in the Borrowed bookshelf. However, if you borrowed an eBook with Acrobat or Reader, you cannot transfer that book to another computer. You must return the library item and then borrow the item again using the current version of Digital Editions.
    Digital Editions does not require you to authorize your computer with an Adobe ID. This option is necessary to address concerns about some users' needs for privacy (for example, library patrons and minors). However with this option, protected items that you have already downloaded or will download later are tied to that particular computer and are not readable on other computers or devices. They also can't be restored from backup if the operating system is reinstalled.
    When you first launch Digital Editions, you are prompted to authorize your computer. You can decline, in which case your digital content will belong to the computer, not a named user account. Subsequently, you will be prompted to authorize your computer whenever you purchase an eBook, although the prompt dialog box provides a"“Don’t ask me again" checkbox.
    Digital Editions has an “Authorize this computer” menu item that you can use after initial installation.
    Important: If you authorize your computer with an Adobe ID, then it will always be associated with that Adobe ID. If you do not, the account is "anonymous". If you "anonymously" activate two computers, then there are two separate anonymous accounts, which cannot be merged. Thus, the eBooks on one computer can be upgraded to "belong" to a specific Adobe ID, but the eBooks on the other cannot. If you authorize the second computer with your Adobe ID, any subsequent purchases on it are associated with that ID and transferable to any computer authorized with that ID. However, the books that were purchased on the second computer prior to being activated are forever locked to that computer.
    You can activate up to six computers and six devices . If you reach the limit, contact Customer Service to increase your allowable activations. --Adobe Web Site
