Can't see full song names in Music Store

Since the Music Store "upgrade" in iTunes 9 I can't see the entire name of the songs listed in the search results. The store only displays ~20 characters and some songs I am interested in buying are longer than that. For instance if I want to download a specific mix of a song and the store truncates the name with an ellipsis I have no idea which version I am looking at/listening to. Sometimes when there are many results there will be an option to "See All" and that has expanded fields, but if there are too few I'm stuck with partial song names. Am I missing how to expand the name field somewhere or is there another fix? BTW this is the worst version of iTunes I have used. It behaves like a windows app. GG Apple.

One way is to play a song's preview and note the information displayed in the iTunes progress bar.

Basically when you use javax (swing), your applet requires a Java plugin because the native JVM that works with the good old AWT is too old to handle swing. Since you're using JDK1.2, you'll need to put your HTML file thru the HTMLConverter (if you're using JDK1.3.1_01 or higher, there is no need to the HTMLConverter -- as a matter of fact, using a HTML file that's been converted with the HTMLConverter will probably give you problem with JDK1.3.1_01 or higher).
Here is a link that will give give you more info:

  • Can't see TV shows purchased from Music Store in Full Screen Mode

Prior to the release of iTunes 7.0, I had been purchasing episodes of LOST from the iTunes Music Store and watching the episodes on my Mac in Full Screen viewing mode.
Since downloading iTunes 7.0, I have been unable to watch any television shows purchased from the Music Store from that date forward in Full Screen mode. When I select iTunes>View>Full Screen I can hear the audio, but I cannot see the image. Instead, my monitor goes totally black. If I select iTunes>View>Fit to Screen, I am able to see the video, however, the video does not fill up my screen...instead, I have about two inches of desktop showing on either side of the image. Does anyone know how to solve this problem so that I can once again watch purchased television shows in Full Screen mode?
By the way, I am now running iTunes 7.0.2.

Alan, I just checked and I don't see a section for TV shows in the Canadian store. As the initial deal was made with ABC, I doubt that there is any content available yet for you. I do see the pixar section and the music video section, however.
Similarly, a visit to the Apple Canada site shows no mention of being able to download TV shows.
As with the music, it is going to take a separate lisence to bring TV content to each store. If and when that is going to happen, no one around here would be able to say.

  • Why can I not buy songs from iTunes Music Store?

Earlier this year I moved from the U.S.A. to Sweden... changing my 'Mac.com' account address while doing so.
Last week, I tried to purchase some songs from the iTunes Music Store with my American MasterCard (a debit card) which is listed with my Swedish address at my U.S. bank. As I had never purchased at the iTunes M.Store before I was instructed to 'review my account'... which I did. It had my present Sweden address and my Mastercard listed as method of payment. Upon submitting the form, it was rejected, saying that my MasterCard was 'invalid for Sweden'! So I then go to the Apple-Sweden Store and purchase an iTunes Music Card which I receive in the mail the following day. Now I follow the Apple advice posted for purchasing music by redeeming an iTunes Music Card without listing a credit card (http://www.apple.com/se/support/itunes/store/giftcard/#GCA)... except there is no selection for NONE as indicated in these instructions.... So once again when I submit the form it is rejected, meaning that this time I have already spent money for the iTunes Music Card that is now worthless to me!
Is there another way I can redeem this card without going through that 'review account' window...?
I don't care to set up another account by setting up another e-mail address just to do this... as I want all of the Apple business to go through my Mac.com account as it should be configured to do so!

O.K. Everything seems to be in order now!
I don't know what happened but this is the results....
After attempting to edit change the information on my iTunesMS account at least 7 times, I posted the above question, logged out of iTunes, closed down all my apps and turned off my computer.
A few hours later, I thought I would give it one more try and when I turned on iTunes, went to the Music Store and then 'reviewed' my account... it had my old American address on it with the country listed as Sweden... I just left it alone, as it didn't have my credit card info listed at all... Curiously, I'm clueless about that (though I did send this same complaint to Apple during the first posting... did that have anything to do with it?) When I clicked the continue button (without changing any info) it prompted me that I was finished setting up my iTunes Music Store account and I was immediately able to download some songs....(using the iTunes Music card--- I have not tried my MasterCard!)
So basically, I did nothing except close iTunes, turn off my computer and later rebooted it and opened iTunes! Strange... does that seem like a fix or what?

  • Can't find a song in the music store

Hi! I want to download a song, but it only appears remixed, and I want it original, plain. Is there a way to request a song?

I have the latest iTunes version and haven't seen that feature.
From the iTunes menu bar you will find it at iTunes>Provide iTunes Feedback.
It is also on the main iPod +iTunes page. Click on the iPod + iTunes tab at the top of this page and look near the bottom, its in small type with a pencil icon next to it.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can i set a song from my music library to a ringtone for my iphone 4s

how can i set a song from my music library to a ringtone for my iphone 4s?

    The procedure is the following:-
*right click the song on itunes and click get info.
*under the option, check in the start time and end time- This is the exactly which part of the song you want to make your ringtone.
    *Click Ok.
    * Again right click in the same song and click the CREATE AAC VERSION
    * Now you can see the same two song. if you have made the short length in step 2, lenght will be different.and this will be in (.m4a) format. and if you dont see on itunes you can search the name on finder. you will find both files.
    * Now you try to change the format (.m4a)  to (.m4r), you just delete a and add r and press enter bottom. and conform it.
*Now you add this files to the ringtone/tones on itunes which is located on the left side bar of itunes.
*make sure under the preference of your itunes under the general the tones section is checked in.
*go to your device on itunes. Under the tones check in sync tones. You can Sync all tones or the particular tones which you want.
*Now this tone is on your iphone. You can change your ringtone through setting>sound>ringtone and choose the particular one.

Me or my pc can't see my songs, but they are still on my Ipod.
I've connected my Ipod to my pc, and suddenly there were no songs left, but when I checked it, was the memory still full, like before.
I've disconnected my Ipod and suddenly there were also no songs on my Ipod aswell.
    please help me!!

"There should be a solution I think"
Yes, to restore the iPod and reload the songs with whatever program you use to put songs on the iPod.
How do you manage to use iPod Agent to transfer songs to the iPod since this is what it says in the iPod Agent FAQ?
"iPod Agent is not a music manager. It does not provide the ability to organize your music and transfer it to your iPod. Apple's own iTunes does a great job of this and thus we don't see a reason to try to duplicate it's functionality. iPod Agent is meant to work hand-in-hand with iTunes."
If you don't use iTunes, what "library" do you use?

Thank you Winston. I guess we need to ask that this feature gets added at least as an option in an upcoming release. When someone is using shuffle, it helps to know what is playing while viewing pictures.

  • Some songs can be found by Song Name, but not by Artist ?!

I have 3 Neil Diamond songs in my iTunes library, and all of them were sent to the iPod during syncing. Now on my iPod if I search by artist "Neil Diamond" I only see one of the songs. The songs really are on the iPod because I can find them by Song name and play them.
I tried setting the Artist to Neil Diamond in iTunes using Cmd+I and updating all 3 songs to the same artist name at once (even though they already had Neil Diamond set as the artist), but that didn't change anything.
    Can anyone explaing this? It's a video iPod with s/w 1.1 and iTunes 6.0.2 (23) on OS X 10.4.4.

I was having a similar problem. I have two Ray Charles Albums in iTunes and Ray Charles is not listed as an Artist in my iPod. I turned off Compilations in the settings menu and all the artists including Ray appeared. I have no idea why but it worked.

  • I uploaded my album, but can't see individual songs on Itunes

    Hi,
I am an artist and uploaded this morning my album with Cdbaby to iTunes. I can find my album now in the iTunes Store, see the album cover and name, but can't see the songs that are in this album. So i can't see the tracklist, and also can't buy the songs. I can buy the album, and then i recieve all the songs. On Cdbaby i submitted that people are able to buy the songs seperatly. How come? Does anyone have any idea, i can't find anything!

For getting songs off your iPod and back into iTunes, check this link out.
