Can't See User Portlet

Running 9iAS R2. When I log into portal as administrator the user portlet does not appear even the when I click on edit it shows as available. Portal user profile, Edit/Delete Group, and Portal Group Profile portlets all appear. How do I create a new portal user?
Thanks.

I got the same problem when I tried to change portal hostname. I edited httpd.conf and ran ptlasst.csh. User portlet disappeared. When I set old hostname the portlet appeared again.
When I deleted partner application with old hostname and registered it again with ptlasst.csh I got the same problem for old hostname.
Any solutions?

  • Can't see db portlets as non authorized user

    Hi,
    I created portal db providers - reports and forms and put them on a page. I have checked "Display Page To Public Users". When I log in, I can see the portlets, but without logging in I can't see them.
    Thanks for help.

    Hi,
    It is not enough if you grant the page to public. The whole application or the portlets on the page should be granted to public.

  • Can't see a portlet

    We have a page, published as portlet on a internet site (ACESS for portlet: not diplayed to public users; but the page is displayed to public) with a link to intranet site. The problem is that I, as a portal admin can view this portlet, but others with less privileges (but still authenticated users) can't see it?! Why?!

    The page portlet takes its security from the page on which it is based. If view on the portlet page is granted to AUTHENTICATED_USERS, they should see it.

  • Sending form via email - can't see user responses in returned PDF

    I created a form in Form Central.  I chose "save as PDF form" and saved it on my computer.  I attached this form to an email and asked employees to fill out and send back to me as a pdf.  When people email me back their filled in form, I can only see the responses when I click on each individual box.  When I print the form, the responses do not print.
    Would appreciate help since I distributed the forms to the company, and realized there was a problem as responses started to come in today (I only tested it on my computer and had no issues)
    I would appreciate any help you can give.  Especially:
    Why is this happening?
    How do I prevent this in the future?
    Is there anything I can do to resolve the issue, without having to send out an updated form?
    Christine

    The users filling out your PDF are not using Adobe Acrobat or the Free Adobe Reader to fill out your form - FormsCentral forms have to be filled out in Adobe Reader or Acrobat.
    Also, make sure that you are also using Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat to view those PDFs.
    The way to resolve this is to instruct your users to use Adobe Reader to fill out the form.
    This FAQ touches on the issue, but mostly related to the Submit button not working, however the issues you describe are caused by not using Adobe Reader or Acrobat as well: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653

    Hello Community
        Using WS2012 I created user account in AD.  I right clicked a user account and chose "Move".
        The problem is my finger slipped and hit other keys.
        Now I can't see the user account anymore.
        When I run the following command:
            get-aduser -filter 'Name -like "user1"'  I get the results below:
                DistinguishedName : CN=user1,DC=<DomainName>,DC=<SomeName>,DC=us
        The problem is how can I "see" what folder name, OU or the group's name that user1 resides at in
    the GUI?
        Thank you
        Shabeaut

    If I understand well, you were able to get the user DN. Based on the name, the user account should be directly under your domain (Not under an OU or a Container). So, use ADUC and select your domain. Once done, you should be able to see the user account.

  • Can't see user id in Application server after enabling default user profile

    Hi,
    We have implemented SSO and during that implementation, we had to enable the default user profiles so that the request can move from the web server to the app server without authentication. So as a result of this, we are not able to see the user id for all the logged in users in application server. It shows as "Forgot Password" (which is the name of default profile) for all the connections. Is there anything we can do to see the logged in users user id instead of "Forgot Password"?

    Hi Daniel!
    I understand that the result you see in the Worklist monitor doesn't help.Did you try the recommendation in the FAQ.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/mi/mobile application faq/mam client faq.faq#q-4
    If it doesnot help, try the following
    (1)In the SPRO under MAM Customizing settings, go in to
       "Assign Orders and Stocks to a Technician" and then double click the "Assignment Profile(Assigned to your MAM User ID in User dependant data)"  and change the Order Assignment & Notification Assignment to "User-->Employee Number", if it is assigned to a Work Center OR a Planner Group.You can reset this back to the original settings later if required.
    (2)Replicate the MAM25_090 & MAM25_095 via transaction MEREP_EX_REPLIC in the middleware.
    (3) Synchronize the data from your MI Client
    (4) If no data exists Monitor your Worklist as you did earlier.
    Let me know.

  • Cyradm can't see user mailboxes

    Hopefully there is a simple fix for this that I've overlooked. I installed cyradm on 10.3 Server from the package available on afp548.com: http://www.afp548.com/article.php?story=20040814204411280
    After adding a new mailadmin user and placing the username in imapd.conf, I was able to log in to cyradm successfully, but can only view my mailadmin user's mailboxes. For example:
    localhost> lm
    Deleted Messages (\HasNoChildren) INBOX (\Noinferiors)
    Drafts (\HasNoChildren) Sent Messages (\HasNoChildren)
    localhost> lm user/*
    localhost> lm "Other Users/*"
    (no output from either command)
    localhost> sam user/username mailadmin all
    setaclmailbox: mailadmin: lrswipcda: Mailbox does not exist
    localhost> sam "Other Users/username" mailadmin all
    setaclmailbox: mailadmin: lrswipcda: Mailbox does not exist
    Any idea why I cannot view all users' mailboxes? The previous administrator did replace Cyrus at one time when it became problematic. Cyrus itself is now located in /usr/cyrus instead of /usr/bin/cyrus. Not sure if that is relevant or not.
    Many thanks.

    Make sure your admin users in imapd.conf (in the line 'admins:') are separated by space and not by comma.
    I once ran into the same problem a while ago because I had the admin users separated by comma.

  • Can only see User Management in Admin Tools

    I configured an LDAP realm and included the required admin group to access
    the Administration Tools. However, the only thing I can see in
    Administration Tools is User Management. Why is that?

    Wendy,
    Would it be possible for you to send us a file from your LDAP directory
    server? Please forward this information to the support case you have open.
    In the \iPlanet\Servers\slapd-yourhost\config directory.
    Send the dse.ldif file.
    Basically what we want to do is to compare the user and group dn values
    specified in the vlvBase lines with your config.xml. Also grab the
    string that starts with creatorsname ... look for something like
    creatorsName:
    uid=admin,ou=administrators,ou=topologymanagement,o=netscaperoot
    The principal value in the config.xml will be the creatorsName string.
    Set the principal string in config.xml should be something like
    Principal="uid=admin,ou=Administrators,ou=TopologyManagement,o=NetscapeRoot"
    unless your iPlanet schema has been changed.
    So, in the config.xml LDAPRealm definition explicitly set Group is context.
    GroupIsContext="false"
    Set the AuthProtocol to simple.
    Your config.xml LDAPRealm definition should have 13 fields and look
    something like:
    <LDAPRealm
    AuthProtocol="simple"
    Credential="password"
    GroupDN="o=beasys.com, ou=Groups"
    GroupIsContext="false"
    GroupNameAttribute="cn"
    GroupUsernameAttribute="uniquemember"
    LDAPURL="ldap://myhost.beasys.com:389"
    Name="myLdapRealmV1"
    Principal="uid=admin,ou=Administrators,ou=TopologyManagement,o=NetscapeRoot"
    SSLEnable="false"
    UserAuthentication="bind"
    UserDN="o=beasys.com, ou=People"
    UserNameAttribute="uid"/>

    Can you also supply the vendor and version number of your directory

    I was looking at your config.xml from your support case and I am

    Where did you find the syntax for those strings? Is that particular
    string syntax documented somewhere on the LDAP vendors site?

    Wendy,
    You may be seeing CR081150, which is a bug report regarding the
    removal
    of
    ebusiness.jar
    from your application. If you remove this JAR, the admin tool
    fails
    to
    load certain
    EJBs which cause it to only display more than the user tool. The
    workaround is
    to put ebusiness.jar back into your applicaiton. If this is
    unacceptable,
    contact
    Support and they will work with you.

    I'm having some troubles setting up an LDAPRealm correctly. I've been
    searching through the ng, and have read the cnfgsec.html doc closely

    Uncheck Group is Context
    Group Username attribute:groupOfUniqueNames
    User Auth: bind
    User Password Attribute: userPassword

  • How to see users working on MI ?

    Hi!
    Could you please let me know how can I see users currently working on a MI application ??
    I have installed MAM 2.5   SR5 everything is working ok.  I just want to audit who are working with this application.
    Thanks

    Hi
         I dont see this process is as complicated as mentioned above.  You dont even need to go to the ABAP world to see the list of users using a particular application.  The  MI Web Console or the NetWeaver Administrator will help you in achieving your requirements.  If you are using MI Web Console, go to Administration tab and here you have the possibility to view the all the users who are using MI, the application being used and so on.  For your scenarion, just provide the Mobile Component name in the query tab and click Execute. Work done!! All users using the MAM application will be listed.
       If you using NetWeaver Administrator, go to Adminstration -> Mobile Infrastructure -> Device Maintenance -> Advance Search and here provide the Mobile Component name.  The users are displayed in the User column and also there is a separate User tab at the bottom.
    Hope this helps.
    Best Regards

  • Final user's can not see the data due to limited authorization.

    We have created a InfoSet with three info Objects, 0Account, 0Costcenter and 0COMP_CODE. 0Costcenter have an attribute retail location  0RT_LOCATIO.
    0RT_LOCATIO is an authorization relevant object. We as consultants can execute the infoset properly, but final user's with limited authorizations can not see the data because of authorization failier
    We hae several options to solve the issue, deleselect the auth. flag in the infoobject; delete the infoobject from the attributes of the cost center or create an authorization object and assign it to the final user's profile. But we don't want to go that way.
    My question is, is there any way to avoid including this attribute in the infoset definition? We are not using it in the query and we don't need it, so if we could delete it from the infoset (in the same way you add or delete infoobjects from an Infocube) without changing the cost center aster data, we will have our problem solved.
    Does anyone how to do this (if possible)?
    Thanks in advance!

    Just do two things to find the authorization check failed for that user.
    1. Execute SU53 output and find out the authoirzation check failed. If yes, please send that to BASIS Team.
    2. Next one, switch on the authorization trace in ST01 and ask that user to see that data. if the user is failed with authorization issue. switch off the trace in ST01 and find out the issue.
    Do this way, if it is not successful you can go for any other alternate way.
    Hope this would help you.
