Hi, I am getting problem in instant message chat. I cant see textbox of message. I am getting problem with my big phone it is sony z ultra. It has 6.4 inch screen, Thanks,Paras

Hi! I am having problems sending and receiving instant messages on skype on my Mac laptop. I can receive/send messages from only one specific conversation. All of my other conversations won't let me receive new messages and when I type and send, the text just sits there and a little blue circle spins next to do. I tried logging out and logging back in... nothing changed. So I unistalled skype and then redownloaded it... nothing changed. I do have the skype app on my iphone, and all of the conversations are working fine there. That is how I know that I am not receiving or being able to send messages on my computer. I really need this issue resolved for my job, though. Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

This is broken for most of my group chats as well. Can't receive from some, but can from others, and can't send to some but can to others. Very strange. Haven't identified what differentiates groups that work and groups that don't. Tried one of the posted solutions where the Skype Application Support folder is nuked along with any of the associated plist preferences and re-installed the App. Didn't help.

How can I send a message from database to a J2EE application?
If I have a codetable in database that has new or modified values I have to refresh the codetable in my J2EE application.
Most effective way would be send a message to initiate a table reload from J2EE app, but I don't know how to do this.
Now I have a background thread that regular reads the table and looks for changes.

you could also just cache your lookup table with something like Oracle Coherence and than try to ensure that all changes to the lookup go through Coherence, so that you won't need to do notification from the db up to the application. the application and the lookup data management tool would be using the data grid for management of the lookup table data, and the data grid (coherence) would persist the lookup data changes back to the db.

Depends on the standards supported by your cell phone. Skype does exist for PowerPC.
iChat supports ICQ and AOL instant messaging as well Jabber based chat standards. If you can get one of these, you can go through iChat.

Can't send audio messages from Nokia E63 to email ...

I used to send audio messages from my mobile to my friend's email, and it worked fine.
But some days ago it stopped working. I keep on seeing this whenever I try to send audio message.
"In order to send/download MM messages, the current active connection may be closed (this may affect other applications in use). Do you want to continue ?"
When I disconnected connection, it fails to send again. I saw this message:
"Multimedia message cannot be sent. Packet data connection not available"
It is impossible for me to send the audio message if I close the connection because I'm not having internet in my phone.
I have been using packet data connection to send all the messages to email all the time and it went OK. I got that problem just a few days ago and I cannot send any audio messages now.
I can still send normal emails (non-audio message) from my phone through packet data connection though.
The problem is only when sending the audio message.
I'm using Nokia E63 and I'm in the UAE.
My mobile provider is "Du".
I use packet data connection from "MyWorld"
I don't have any other packet data connections. I had many but now, MyWorld is the only one in my phone.
Please help me how can I do it.

hi people, Ive downloaded the imessage facility to my macbook pro and all the messages I send between my ipad/iphone show up in the screen but I cant send a message from my macbook, the send icon doesnt appear in the text box. It allows me to type in a message, add a smiley but then nothing. Help please ,in language this old brain of mine can decipher )

Some of us do have the advantage of using iChat before we moved to Messages - which is where on the Mac we learnt to send by using the Enter Key.
Messages does add the ability to Send to iOS devices using iMessages and is almost as old as your Mac and we have all been trying to find out how it works.

Ok. Trying to send a video message fro the desktop. Some contacts when chosen do not have this as an option, the ones that do, when I click on it, I get an error message that says:
"OOPS! Somrthing went wrong. Please tray again or get in touch." Trying again gets the same result, and I can find nowhere to "Get in touch" with skype.

}I'm confused with the concept of MESSAGE in java. All i gather about it is that when two objects want to communicate with each other they send messages to each other. One object is sender of message and other is its receiver.
Here reciever object 'r' itself performs its method and does not communicate with any other object. How do i change this code into where two objects communicate with each other?

Well the OO theory says that objects comunicate via messages, now that information must be taken as knowledge only, not for programming issues really. What you need to know is that when you need to pass any data from onw object to another you can send them via parameters of defined methods.
For example you have an Object called R of a receiver class and that object needs to pass a String (text message) to another object. you can do it via a method.

If your mail server requires the security of SSL, then it would not work without it. If you had to disable SSL for it to work, then your email provider does not use SSL for security. You cannot fix what isn't broke. The email provider sets the rules for sending and receiving mail. SSL is just one layer of it, and they may just use username and password for security and not requireing SSL. The only way that you can change that is to change providers. If it doesn't work with SSL now, it probably never did. I wouldn't say that your mail has an "obvious security issue".

Do you have enough credit/balance to send texts?
Have you checked the Message Centre number? Contact your service provider to obtain the number, and then update it in Messaging -> Options -> Settings -> Text message -> Message Centres.
Did you try a SIM from another Service provider? If the new one works, contact your service provider for help.
You can try these steps one by one, if the steps above do not help:
1. Turn off your phone, leave your battery and SIM out for 5-10minutes and put everything back in and turn it on .
2. Restore factory settings: type *#7780# at the standby screen. Enter 12345 for the security code or the one you've changed it to.
Before you try the next two steps, backup your phone memory using PC Suite.
3. Soft reset: This will clean up your phone memory. All user data, applications etc stored in the phone memory will be destroyed. Type *#7370#. Enter the security code when prompted
4. Hard reset: This is the last resort. Turn off your phone, press and hold down these keys: 3, * and the call (Green) button. Turn on your phone without releasing them. Leave the keys only after you see the region selection screen.
5. Reinstall the firmware: Download and install the latest Nokia Software Updater from the Nokia website. Connect to the internet, connect your phone to the PC and run NSU. Follow on-screen instructions carefully. Make sure you have a full battery and a stable PC before you proceed.

Can't send any messages from ichat.

Everytime i try to send a message out using ichat it always asks to verify my icq account. When i click on the site nothing comes up.

In iChat > Preferences > Accounts you are using the New Account + button, Yes ?
You are then choosing AIM but entering ICQ info, Yes ?
When that bit is done the buddy List will try and open but you will get a message of some sort.
Still in the Accounts part of the iChat Preferences, go to the Server settings for that name.
As you are Logged Out at present it should show you dark and Editable text.
Have you changed the Server Name for (s)login.oscar.aol.com ? (It will show the S if SSL is being used).
It should be the login.icq.com
There is also this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICQ#Pressureon_alternativeclients It suggests that some names may not work any more.
