Can't use EXEC APEX_040200.APEX_SITE_ADMIN_PRIVS.UNRESTRICT_SCHEMA

Hallo,
i'm brand new on apex (4.2).
After installing it with @apexins i want to do EXEC APEX_040200.APEX_SITE_ADMIN_PRIVS.UNRESTRICTET_SCHEMA(p_schema => 'SCOTT');
But it don't work. I've got PLS-00201 for APEX_040200.APEX_SITE_ADMIN_PRIVS.
What is the problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Use nobody this procedure to unrestrict an existing schema?
I'm working with apex 4.2.1.

  • SSRS 2008, can I use exec sp and Select combo in dataset query pane for DataSet

    Hi, I'm trying to use this combo for my dataset: i.e. call sp and then use table resulting from this sp, and it give me an error
    <procedure or function has too many arguments specified> while generating report on Preview, but runs OK from query designer, I'm totaly lost.
    Can it be done??
    create table #temp (c1....c2)
    insert #temp
    exec sp_1000_Get_Mir
    select c1, c2 from #temp

    You need to use it like below if you want to select subset of columns from sp output
    http://beyondrelational.com/modules/2/blogs/70/posts/10812/select-columns-from-exec-procedurename-is-this-possible.aspx
    But I would still recommend using a wrapper procedure inside it create a temp table with structure some as your sp output and then select required columns from it
    ie like below
    CREATE PROC WrapperProc
    AS
    create table #temp (c1....c2)
    insert #temp
    exec sp_1000_Get_Mir
    select c1, c2 from #temp
    go
    Then call the WrapperProc from your report

  • Trying to use grep from within java,using exec command!

    Hi all!
    I would like to run a grep function on some status file, and get a particular line from it, and then pipe this line to another file.
    Then perfom a grep on the new file to check how many of the lines above are present in that file, and then write this value to a new file.
    The final file with a numerical value in it, i will read from within java,as one reads normal files!
    I can run simple commands using exec, but am kinda stuck with regards to the above!
    Maybe i should just do all the above from a script file and then run the script file from exec. However, i dont want to do that, because it kinda makes the system dependent,..what if i move to a new machine, and forget to install the script, then my program wont work!
    Any advise?
    Thanks
    Regards

    With a little creativity, you can actually do all that from the command line with a single command. It'll look a little crazy, but it can be done.
    Whether the script exists on the local machine or not has zero to do with platform indpendence. You assumedly have to get the application onto the local machine, so including the script is not really an issue at all. However, you're talking about system independence, yet still wishing to run command line arguments? The two are mutually exclusive.

  • Using Exec on a SQL Query

    Hi.
    Why it doesn't work in the SQL Query of Crystal?
    EXEC ('USE ZZZ_'+{?Base})
    SELECT........................
    {?Base} is a string variable and its value is correct
    Thanks

    You probably can't use an expression for EXEC.  I know MS SQL doesn't allow it.  However, you don't need an expression if this is in an SQL Command data source.  Just use:
    USE ZZZ_{?Base}
    As long as {?Base} is a string parameter, its value will be substituted into the line - without quotes.  So if the parameter value is AAA, the resulting line would be
    USE ZZZ_AAA
    You can do the same thing with field names or other SQL text.  Obviously, you want to control the values that the parameter can be when you do such a thing...  (Do not allow the user to type what will be used in unquoted SQL!)

  • How to Use Exec function in Java Code

    How to Use Exec method
    I want to Execute command
    net Start "some service"
    using exec method of runtime class
    or i use some other way if suggest

    Assuming you have read http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/api/java/lang/Runtime.html#exec(java.lang.String) already, I can only suggest to be more specific in what your problems are. If you are after just some example code, then download ftp://ftp.ebi.ac.uk/pub/software/textmining/monq/monq.tar.gz and have a look at the source code of monq.stuff.Exec. It does all those things which are necessary to keep track of a Process after it was created with exec.

  • Can I use stored procedures to improve data retrieval from the database?

    I have been requested to get multiple pieces of data from multiple tables and return the output in an array for use in a Java program.
    Eliminating multiple calls to the database. Currently, the data is retrieved from the database in multiple steps but to eliminate
    possible bottlenecks in the future, I created several complex sql statements.
    For instance,
    In the first table there are 20 columns of data. has a column named type which can have the one of these values: line, inn, or bsc
    In the second table there are 6 columns of data. has the additional data for type line
    In the third table there are 7 columns of data. has the additional data for type inn
    In the fourth table there are 2 columns of data. has data regardless of type
    etc...
    Depending on a specific column value retrieved (inn) from the first table:
    I need to collect all 20 columns in the first table and get all the columns in third table and the columns in the fourth table, etc.
    Question: How can I remove the duplicate primary key columns without specifying for each table the column names to be returned?
    I used the wildcard SELECT * because I didn't want to have to update the retrieval methods if additional columns are added to these
    secondary tables.
    example of my sql for type inn data:
    select * from first_table f, third_table s, fourth_table t
    where (f.column1='xxxx' and f.column2='xxxx') (the 'xxxx' are passed into the sql statement)
    and
    ((s.column1=f.column1 and s.column2=f.column2)
    and
    (f.column3=t.column1));
    Currently, I've duplicated the separate sqls for each valid type found in the first table (at least a dozen types). The only difference is
    the table name. Instead of the third table I use the second table, etc.
    The MAIN Question: How can I set this up to have one sql to handle each type? I want to eliminate having over a dozen duplicated sqls. Can I
    incorporate this into a stored procedure or something? If so, how? Can anyone provide sample coding?
    Your help is very much appreciated. Thank you.

  • Can I use C++ objects as Host variables in Pro*C++

    Hi,
    I have a C++ object in my Pro*C++ program. The objects has
    members representing all the fields of a oracle table record.
    e.g. For a table TEST_PRODUCT ( product_id, name),
    the C++ class is :
    class prd
    public:
    int id;
    char name[50];
    Can I use the Object of this class as a Host Variable ? In SQL
    select query , I want to directly fetch record into this object.
    When I declare this object within EXEC SQL BEGIN DECLARE SECTION
    and END DECLARE SECTION , it gives me compilation error.
    Is that supported by Pro*C++ ? If yes, how to do it?
    Pls help.
    Thanks

    I find it easier to decalre a local variable in the EXEC SQL
    block and then assign that to your class variable at the end of
    the statement. It makes it easy to check for nulls and db
    errors without affecting the C++ object.

  • How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application witth just a JRE [Web Application, WAR, JSP, weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds and JRE]

              How can WLS use JSP pages in a Web Application (either a .war file or a war directory structure) without a java compiler?
              I suspect either the JSP specification is flawed (i.e. it doesn't take account of servers using just a JRE), or BEA's implementation is broken.
              Production servers do not have a JDK installed. They only have a JRE. Therfore a java compiler is not present on the machine that the Web Application is deployed onto.
              On the development machine, when the server is requested to load the JSP it creates a tmpwar directory within the Web Application directory structure. This is then included in the resultant .war file thus:
              D:\war>jar -tf gmi.war
              META-INF/
              META-INF/MANIFEST.MF
              gmiService.jsp
              WEB-INF/
              WEB-INF/classes/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/
              WEB-INF/classes/com/bt/gmi/gmiService.class
              WEB-INF/getList.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrict.xsl
              WEB-INF/getListByDistrictConnection.xsl
              WEB-INF/lib/
              WEB-INF/source/
              WEB-INF/source/build.bat
              WEB-INF/source/gmiService.java
              WEB-INF/web.xml
              WEB-INF/weblogic.xml
              tmpwar/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.class
              tmpwar/jsp_servlet/_gmiservice.java
              When deployed on the production server with the web.xml file set to use the following values (note XML stripped):
              weblogic.jsp.pageCheckSeconds
              -1
              weblogic.jsp.precompile
              false
              weblogic.jsp.compileCommand
              javac
              weblogic.jsp.verbose
              true
              weblogic.jsp.packagePrefix
              jsp_servlet
              weblogic.jsp.keepgenerated
              false
              And in the weblogic.properties file:
              weblogic.httpd.webApp.gmi=war/gmi
              I've also tried with the .war file, but that insists on creating another tmpwar directory outside of the .war file.
              Then, although I have set pageCheckSeconds to -1 (don't check and don't recompile) ter production server still attempts to recompile the JSP's:

    The default Java compiler from sun lives in the tools.jar that comes with
              the JDK. Just add that to your set of JARs which are deployed in production
              and you should be fine. No need to install the full JDK - just make the
              tools.jar available to WebLogic.

  • Failed using exec and wait_for_file functions in Unix for DS X3.1

    Hi,
    Unix version --> 11.23 running of HP-UXIA64
    DS version   --> Data Services X3.1
    I able to run exec and wait_for_file fuctions in my local Windows environment using cmd.exe to move files or copy files around folders.
    A) However, I failed to run Unix command using exec function to get any similar results, the test script that i wrote in DS is like this:
    (1) DS Scripts:
    ==========
    $G_Var1 = exec('/usr/bin/sh', 'pwd', 8);
    Print('**** Unix result: \[$G_Var1\] ****');
    log returns as such:
    ==================
    PRINTFN     5/12/2008 11:56:35 AM     **** Unix result:       1: pwd: invalid multibyte character ****
    (2) DS Scripts:
    ==========
    $G_Var1 = exec('', '/usr/bin/sh pwd', 8);
    Print('**** Unix result: \[$G_Var1\] ****');
    log returns as such:
    ==================
    PRINTFN     5/12/2008 11:59:10 AM     **** Unix result:       0:  ****   (--> although 0 but can't see any return pwd result)
    I have tried several versions such as using just sh instead of full path /usr/bin/sh, but also can't work.
    B) For the wait_for_file function, the script is:
    wait_for_file('/source/data/dummy.txt', 0, 0, 1, $G_Path_Filename);
    print('**** Source file and path is = \[$G_Path_Filename\] ****');
    (--> nothing return for the global variable)
    Please advice and thank you.

    Hi,
    I found out one peculiar behavior regarding to Unix delete command of 'rm'.
    My goal is to delete some files using '*.txt' wildcard in Unix command.
    I could perform all following shell scripts at Unix level successfully, but just can't find a way to use the method inside exec function.
    The differrent ways that I had tried out:
    1) exec('rm', '-f *.txt', 0);                -
    > no effect, doesn't work.
    2) exec('rm', '-f `ls *.txt`', 0);          -
    > no effect, doesn't work.
    3) exec('rm', '-f data.txt', 0);          -
    > It worked, but I want to delete few files of type txt, not just one specific file.
    Please advice is it a bug some where?

  • Can you use hints in mssql  ?

    HI,
    When use abap sql in mssql DB,can i use  like  %_hints oracle 'index(csks"J")'. ?
    Is it helpful?

    Hi,
    in ABAP you can write "native SQL" of your database system within tags :
      EXEC SQL.
        " Your MSSQL code here
      ENDEXEC.
    Than here you can use everything you want .. an index hint or etc.
    But this code works only for that database system. If the database will change someday
    this code can not be used.
    So the best way is using Open SQL of ABAP.
    if you want to use an index go to se11 open your table than click "indexes" button to display secondary indexes
    and display fields in that indexes.
    Use this fields in your select statement on topmost of WHERE clause with the same sequence in index.
    I hope it helps.

  • Can we use IF statement in PDF templates

    The case syntax is a bit funny though as there's not a single condition evaluation (like a DECODE or case structs from some other languages).
    This is what I would expect a typical case struct to look like - evaluating a single condition:
    case <condition>
    when <value-1> then return <result-1>
    when <value-n> then return <result-n>
    else
    return <return-z>

    Hi all,
    in alv report can i use control break events? if no .whay?

    hi,
    you can use control break statements in ALV report.
    for example: if one PO is having more than one line item, that time you need to display PO only once.

  • HT1751 I need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes (it won't let me update). So, how do I copy or back up my iTunes library of over 1,500 songs? Can I use a Flash Drive to do so?

    I need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes (it won't let me update). I have IE 8 on Windows XP, and iTunes 10 something. In my Program files list I see iTunes and iTunes (2) and even iPod and iPod (2) where a tech had to back up and do this for me before. I'm just trying to fix it all. I keep getting the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below." I can even run a search and find the folder, but it gives me the same error message. I was planning on using the Microsoft Fix-It tool  to help uninstall then Reinstall iTunes. But I need to backup my library. So, how do I copy or back up my iTunes library of over 1,500 songs? Can I copy the folder to desktop or can I use a Flash Drive to backup my music? I don't want to do anything until I know for sure how I can backup my songs, and then reinstall them into iTunes. Thanks for any help.

    Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to  'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
    The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)
    Thanks for the info.
