Error in deploying the Quiz Application

hi
i made the quiz application refering the Sample application given in sdn .
when i deployed it in the WAS 6.4 server , the application was deployed successfully and ran without any issue
however , when i deployed it in WAS 7.0 server , deployment was aborted and i faced the following error

Hi,
Is this DC, if so check that all used DCs are deployed.
One more reason of this exception is when there is name conflict between two projects deployed on the same server , eg say projects A & B have same application name, component name.
When I get this exception, I go to nwa, see logs to find out two conflicting projects and rename one of them and deploy again. It solves my problem.

The examples are calling a browser but that is not what we are looking for. What we are looking for is (via ABAP) to send our http request and receive back the anwser. They (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/) provide the SOAP message (WSDL : (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/api/checkVatPort?wsdl). My question is if it is possible witout using XI and yes how? If I understand it correctly is should be possible via ABAP (example program RSWF_TEST_HTTP), but if I create my own program I get the message HTTP-Receive: RC=400 ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED. Maybe the ABAP code is correct, but maybe I should change some settings or configure something else.

Executing an HTTP Request in ABAP Code

Hi,
I have to write an ABAP program to check VAT numbers before making any VAT declaration. SAP checks the logic of the number, however it does not check if a VAT number is still valid for that company. The European Commission has a website (http://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/) where you can check centrally all VAT numbers used in the EU. According to the Commission's web site it should be possible to have an open interface. A SOAP service is available (Its WSDL file can be obtained also on the website).
Does anyone has an idea how this can be done (Current SAP version = SAP ECC 6.0) taken into account there is no XI (or IP) aviable or set up or used.

Can the Mail applications on Mac and iPhone talk to each other?

I have synced my Gmail account to the Mail application on my MacBook Pro. During the day, I am out and about receiving, reading, and deleting emails on my iPhone, and when I get home and turn on the computer, I see all of those messages still there in my inbox, unread. Is there a way for the mac Mail app and the iPhone mail app to talk so that messages that are read in one place show up as read in the other place?

How do I overcome the fact that not all HTTP requests require redirection

I have the following scenario, The Business require that the main login to JDE is just http://prod.apps, I use a redirect server to change it to
http://prod.apps:12001/prod/Mainmanu.maf so that all works well , but reports and approvals generate links with URIs so the redirect does not work. To overcome this problem I have generated another context with a different VIP without a redirect server and that seems to work ok. But the apllication programmers have to ensure that any reports etc point to this new VIP.
Is there a better way of doing this?

Reading the binary data from a http request received via socket connection.

1. I require to extract the binary data out of a http multipart request,
2. I have a server socket opened up, which can receive connections over tcp( and therefore http.)
3. I will require to read the stream, find out the "request boundary identifier", and then extract the different "request body parts".
4. From there i need to read all of the binary content and put it in a file.
5. I did some implementation to his effect. but i see that the file that i had uploaded initially if its not a text file, gets corrupted.
can you please let me know why is that happening, and a probable solution approach.

Parsing the return value from a http request into a xml document?

I check the host file and this is correctCheck Apache log files (error_log* and access_log* under $LOG_HOME/ora/10.1.3/Apache directory).
Also, run AutoConfig and make sure it completes successfully.

PL/SQL posting to HTTP request

As part of a web application I am developing, I need to generate an HTTP post from a PL/SQL package. The problem I am having is that the message going out is not properly formatted and is being rejected by the listening application (in this case, WebCT)

When I watch the network traffic generated by this PL/SQL I do not have any carriage returns which makes WebCT to believe that the message does not carry the proper data and returns Fatal Failure(99): Invalid URL arguments...
Is there somewhere where I can see sample code for placing HTTP requests using the utl_http package? Or if I am doing something obviously wrong (I am new at this whole PL/SQL thing...) please let me know.

If UTL_HTTP.SET_TRANSFER_TIMEOUT has no effect, probably your hang is due to the fact that the machine is completely down and inaccessible.
As the name suggests, SET_TRANSFER_TIMEOUT only controls the timeout when UTL_HTTP succeeds in making a connection to the remote Web server and it times out the request when no more response is received by certain time while the connection is not closed by the remote server either.
In your case, you probably need a connect-timeout which isn't provided by UTL_HTTP (yet).

Session replication at every http request

Hi everybody
I'm trying to use ZKoss Framework (www.zkoss.org) to develop a
web application and deploy it in a Clustered WebLogic Server.
The main issue I'm facing is that the "state" of the visual interface
is stored inside the http session, and so, when node that handle
the http request changes, the state is resetted and then the page changes,
even if there was no user intervention.
So I need to replicate the whole session at every http request,
to prevent strange behaviours when the request handler node's changes.
Do you know some settings that will force WebLogic Server to replicate the whole
session at every http request?

Yes, You are right But You NEED NOT to put setAttribute("key","value")...code in all your JSPs. because if the Attribute data of Session is changed then Automatically it will be replicated (only the Changed Data and not the Data which is unchanged). Even we need not to worry about replicating the Unchanged Data Again...And WebLogic will take care of ChangedData by itself. There is no other alternate solution available in weblogic to do this...Even no such similar Element available in Deployment descriptors as well.

Programming Considerations for Clustered Servlets and JSPs
This section highlights key programming constraints and recommendations for servlets and JSPs that you will deploy in a clustered environment.
Session Data Must Be Serializable
To support in-memory replication of HTTP session states, all servlet and JSP session data must be serializable.
Note: Serialization is the process of converting a complex data structure, such as a parallel arrangement of data (in which a number of bits are transmitted at a time along parallel channels) into a serial form (in which one bit at a time is transmitted); a serial interface provides this conversion to enable data transmission.
Every field in an object must be serializable or transient in order for the object to be considered serializable. If the servlet or JSP uses a combination of serializable and non-serializable objects, WebLogic Server does not replicate the session state of the non-serializable objects.
Use setAttribute to Change Session State
In an HTTP servlet that implements javax.servlet.http.HttpSession, use HttpSession.setAttribute (which replaces the deprecated putValue) to change attributes in a session object. If you set attributes in a session object with setAttribute, the object and its attributes are replicated in a cluster using in-memory replication. If you use other set methods to change objects within a session, WebLogic Server does not replicate those changes. Every time a change is made to an object that is in the session, setAttribute() should be called to update that object across the cluster.
Likewise, use removeAttribute (which, in turn, replaces the deprecated removeValue) to remove an attribute from a session object.
Note: Use of the deprecated putValue and removeValue methods will also cause session attributes to be replicated.

Xml forms - Error handling HTTP request

We have installed portal 6.0
I've made some forms with the xml form builder, imported them into IViews (KM navigation IView) and assigned the IViews to a role
The Iview shows the RenderListItem form
Every Iview (RenderListItem form) has a "new item" button
Every record of the iview has a edit-delete action
When I press the "new item" button or the edit button (or save button) I get the following error:

This error doesn't always appear, there are times that the portal works correct and when I can add items, edit them and save my changes

I didn't place a save button on the RenderListItem but on the Edit form so this couldn't be the issue...
I solved the error I got when I wanted to save my form
The edit and delete buttons also work correct...
I only get the error mentioned above when I press the "new form" button, I created that button with the CreateXMLForms action group that I added in my Collection Grid renderer settings (option collection command group)
Then I changed my form availibility (System administration ->system configuration ->KM->CM->form based publishing->form availibility->folder settings)
I created the following folder settings:
