Can we create logical/ physical schema by running any script (unix/window)?

I wish to create logical/ physical schema in oracle data integrator
by running any windows or preferably unix script.
is there any method or scripts provided in ODI?

I think you could insert info into Matser Respository tables:
Connect info: snp_connect
Logical Schemas : snp_lschema
Physical Schemas: snp_pschema
Or you may write some sql to do this.

You can not create items at run time. But you can manage them at run time by setting Visible property programatically.

How can I create a new thread to run PulseOutput.VI

Hi:
I use NI-94729(cDAQ system) to generate pluse and want to output pulse continuously and to check the pulse is 500Hz.
In TestStand, the steps as follow:
1: Call PulseOuput.vi to generate 500Hz pulse, VI use Finite Mode to generate pulse.
2: Verify the pulse is 500Hz.
Howerver, after the first step finishes, the pulse output stops, te 2nd step is failed. If a Continuous Mode is used in PulseOuput.vi to generate pluse, the 1st step can't finish.

There are two ways to go about creating a new thread to run a step. The first is to create a new sequence, into which you put the LabVIEW step you want to run and any other steps that may go along with it. Then use a sequence call step to call this newly created sequence. Set the Execution Options of the Sequence call step to 'Use New Thread.' This will allow you to run a set of steps in a new thread, not just a VI. The second method, which is only available for a LabVIEW VI, is to use the “Run VI Asynchronously” step. This can be accessed if you right-click within your sequence and select Insert Step » LabVIEW Utility » Run VI Asynchronously. This step will allow you to call a VI and have it automatically open in a new thread. You can further customize this step by opening the configuration menu in the Step Settings.
To address the current behavior of your steps I would like to know if the modules in steps 1 & 2 pass data between them or it would be desirable for them to do so? If so you are going to need a more complex synchronization structure such as TestStand/LabVIEW queues. There is a simple example you may want to look at in the TestStand examples, under the Synchronization folder that demonstrates how to use queues. Otherwise the above solution should be all you need.

Can you open a file in PS & run a script from LR?

So one of my commercial clients wants their product files in a variety of formats, including PNG with transparency. I'd love to be able to provide them with this from LR, but you can't export as a PNG. So I've written a script which takes the active document in PS, turns off the relevant layers, converts to sRGB, and saves as a PNG. Is there any way for me to invoke this script from LR, as I am opening the document? Ideally, I'd like to include it in the "Edit in" menu, as a menu item which would invoke PS and run the script. That way I could simply select the images, and get them processing while I do something else. Or do I have to open all the files and then run the script on all the open files?

Images are automatically saved back to the LR library but you need to follow a logical sequence for LR to render the export copy. You need to start the round trip from LR as follows and use the save command (Ctrl+S) not save as:
1) Ctrl+E in the Library to export selected image with develop settings (I choose PSD but tiff is also available in the prefs)
2) Edit in Photoshop; then Ctrl+S to replace (overwrite) Lightroom export copy
3) Ctrl+W to close in Photoshop and update Lightroom thumbnail. The saved copy is usually stacked next to the original so don't worry about XMP.

Can't create PDF files with adobe acrobat professional 8 on windows 7

I running acrobat Professional 8 on Windows 7 64bit. I can only create PDF files while logged on as administrator. I tried adding the user to the Administrators group, but still have the same problem. The system hangs right after adobe promts me for the file name, I provide the file name click save and it hangs when displaying the "printing message'
Any ideas?

I did however, create a simple class that compiles and can be used to set, return, reset and print a few details about a person. I hope that is of better use than my previous example. here it is:

Can I create a "floating" toolbar, or customize any of the floating palettes?

I don't want the toolbar visible because I need it for almost* nothing and I can't accept even a little compromise to the visible length of my writing workspace. So I hide toolbars, formatting bars, rulers, etc., and use key commands instead whereever possible.
But without the toolbar visible, I can't create tables easily--there's not even a key command. The inspector can only edit tables already created.

The Insert Menu oddly enough inserts stuff, all sorts of stuff.
When I start using a new program I have a good look around, which is well rewarded in Pages because it has mostly sensible names, well organised from the large down to the smallest details working left to right in the Menus and Inspectors.
The View menu also does what it says and the keyboard shortcuts are (mostly) next to the menu items.
If a menu item like Table does not have a keyboard shortcut you can give it one in:
Menu > Apple > System Preferences… > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts

Can I create an HCM Form without the involvement of any Workflow steps ? I tried to create a simple form to save the User id( IT0105) of a person. I tried to simulate the process through program RPASR_TEST_PROCESS_EXECUTION. But, finally it failed saying "No workflow assingned. Process not successfully completed" . How should I proceed if I dont want any workflow steps to be included?
I just want the form to update the infotypes directly when I save.

Yes. This is a very common task.
You should databank the User and Password parameters. When running many virtual users in e-load, the script will login each script/user from the list you have included in the databank. When running in Functional playback, each new iteration of a single user will login with a new user from the databank.
There also does not need to be a logoff. In either Functional or Load playback, each time a script or a virtual user starts a new iteration it will begin as though there are no past cookies or cache files.

How can I create a status bar at the bottom of a window ?

I would like to create a status bar at the bottom of my main window similiar to "Internet explorer" has. I thought of using a tool bar but I can't see how to keep it positioned at the bottom of the window when the window is resizable. Any other ideas on how to do this the bar only needs to contain a small amout of text and maybe an icon or two.

CVI doesn't have a status bar control on UI element like the one available in Visual Studio++. The best way to replicate this is most like through a string control that is resized and positioned to remain at the bottom of the window and colored to look appropriately. I have also seen the combination of a decoration and a text message used.

How can I create MWV file from iMovie that is compatible with Windows

Hi Folks:
I have have an iMovie project that I need to share as a WMV file that I can upload to a website that is then able to be opened in a Windows browser.
I've already created a QuickTime version that seems to work in Mac and Windows browsers. Just need a way to create a WMV file that works.
I have purchased software (Flip4Mac WMV) that lets me make a WMV file but the files that I make with that software open up in Mac browsers (Firefox and Safari) but will not open in either Firefox or IE for Windows. The windows browsers both report that the page is not available. One of the options is to refresh the page. I do this on Win 2K IE6 and the movie is played in Media Player in a pane at the left side of the browser. On Windows XP IE 7 the page just does not produce anything that is useful.
Anyone able to tell me what I should do to make the WMV files OK for Windows or some software that actually creates WMV files that work on Windows? Or is this a Web Page Formatting problem?
Is it something I am doing on the site? I am using the "embedding" technique recommended by Apple to use a JS function to embed the file in a web page as shown below: (slightly modified)

This works in that the movie is presented to the Windows browsers are presented with the movie but they don't want to display it. I have two versions of the Movie and the one that's an H264 encoded QT movie loads fine in both IE and Firefox on Windows with QT installed. It is the WMV file that is not being handled as I would like.
Any help would be appreciated a great deal. In fact, I will give a registration code for RollingCredits to anyone able to solve this problem for me.
I know, resorting to bribery could be considered bad form but I am in need of a solution. And I know there are a lot of smart people out there.

My problem seems to be that the file that I create is
not being recognized by the browser -- not that it is
not a WMV file.
As I'm sure you know, WMV, like QuickTime mov files, come in many flavors. VisualHub may give a slightly different 'flavor'.
After I made my original post, it occurred to me that Flash video is probably a more universal solution to your problem. Had you considered Flash video?
But your suggestion(s) to try VisualHub have not gone unheeded.
It's the least expensive way I've found so far to create Flash video files.

Create a Log File while running a script overnight

I have a script running on 1000s of images each night, and I want to generate a log file.
Is there a way that anyone can suggest where it will log which file it opened and successfully completed and tag the date/time for each one along the way?

It will depend on the e-mail system you are using and the OS.

Yes and no.
You could use a mailto link for your form action instead of a PHP script.
There are several problems with this method though. First, when you do that, you are at the mercy of the viewer's computer set-up. Mailto links use whatever email client is installed on the machine in order to send the message. Public computers (libraries, colleges, etc) almost never have an email client installed, so when a viewer on one of those machines clicks the link, nothing happens. Secondly, your email address is open for spam harvesters, so you may end up with enlargement and nigerian scam emails flooding your inbox.
Since your provider doesn't give you a way to do it the right way on your server, you may want to look into email form services online and see if they are less expensive than your current alternative.

I can't get Photoshop (Elements 12) to run on my (new) Windows 8 computer?

Just what I said above. I bought Photoshop in December (2013) and now I can't work with it and I'm really frustrated.

There is no way to "download the phone OS". It's stored in ROM, and when a Hard Reset occurs, the device is wiped and the OS is reloaded from ROM.
Since you have an AT&T Centro, there are no OS updates to install either.

Significance of DEFAULT check in Physical Schema

Hi guys! Can you tell me the significance of Default check in physical schema(in topology manager)?
When I remove this check from my current physical schema and run any Interface based on the same. I get errors like Delete previous checksome error
And If i create two or more than two physical schema and everytime when I want to Excecute interfaces based on these different schemas all I need to go to that particular schema and make it my default Schema; Otherwise excecuting Interface gives checksome error if that interface doesnot belong to our default physical schema.
Can you please comment on this.

Adding my comment on this is,
The below is coded in document,
"If this box is checked, then the physical schema will be the data server default schema, when no schema has been specified. Only one physical schema can be marked by default."
The bottom line is for one data server even though it has one/more physical schemas ,atleast one should be default schema.
So every time if you are using different schema you have to make it as default to took that connection.
