Can we deploy jdeveloper 11.1.2 application in standalone weblogic 10.3.4 ?

Hi,
I have an urgent issue on deployment. Can we use weblogic 10.3.4 for deploying jdeveloper 11.1.2 adf applications?
and how to got sherman patch if i have to use standalone weblogic 10.3.5?
Please answer this query?
Thanks a lot. Please Reply.

Hi Kunal,
Unfortunately, it's not stated so clearly anywhere, at least that I know of.
In http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/jdev11gr2-cert-405181.html#Application_Servers it's stated "Certified with 11.1.1.5.x only" and then if you look at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/downloads/fmw-11gr1certmatrix.xls it's stated that 11.1.1.5.0 is certified with WebLogic Server 10.3.5.
You can also look in the release notes http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/shermanrelnotes-405777.html#deploy which shows to install 10.3.5.
If you wanted a very clear definitive statement from Oracle - file an SR with support and ask them.

  • Can't run JDeveloper 11.1.2.1 app on Weblogic 10.3.6

I'm trying to migrate my application developed in JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 (ADF BC, ADF Faces stack) to JDeveloper 11.1.2.1.
This app was previously deployed to Weblogic 10.3.4.
When I generate .ear file and try to deploy it with Enterprise Manger to Weblogic 10.3.6 I keep getting an error that I can't deploy it because in weblogic.xml my app reference library JSF 2.0.
I can see that by default Weblogic 10.3.6 comes with JSF 1.2. If I replace it with jsf 2.0 (from: weblogic_home\wlserver_10.3\common\deployable-libraries\jsf-2.0.war) still can't get it to work. And EM stops working because it depends on JSF 1.2.
I've tried several different approaches (removing all references to JSF 2.0; adding jsf-api.jar, jsf-api.jar directly to project and deploying it with .ear,...) but none has shown right.
What should I do to run ADF application developed with JDeveloper 11.1.2.1 on Weblogic server 10.3.6
    Thanks,
    Nebojsa

JDev 11.1.2.1 need wls 10.3.5 with sherman patches applied to run. WLS 10.3.6. is for jdev 11.1.1.6.0.

    Hi All,
Trying to migrate an existing web application which was running on the old Oracle App Server to WebLogic 10.3. In the process upgraded Hibernate, Spring etc. other libraries. Left the existing Strut 1.1 alone. Getting the following error during deployment -

    Thanks

You need to add a library which contains all the classes used by struts. I have build a library containing these jars
    <jdev_install>\jdeveloper\jakarta-struts\lib\antlr.jar
    <jdev_install>\jdeveloper\jakarta-struts\lib\commons-beanutils.jar

    <jdev_install>\jdeveloper\modules\jakarta.jstl_1.1\lib\jstl.jar
<jdev_install>\jdeveloper\modules\jakarta.jstl_1.1\lib\standard.jarYou need to change jdev_install with the path where you have installed jdev.
Next you need to remove the content of the weblogic-application.xml. Here jdev has made some entries which later prevent the struts servlet to wort. My weblogic-application.xml looks like
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
    <weblogic-application xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application/1.0/weblogic-application.xsd" xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-application">
</weblogic-application>Then you need to check the web.xml file as jdev tends to make addition here too.

  • Infinite loop/afrLoop when deploying ADF application to standalone weblogic

Working with Oracle ADF / JDeveloper 11.1.2.2
I have enabled ADF security in my application and am using JAAS combined with Oracle EBS users and roles to provide security to the application. Testing on my local integrated weblogic server works fine.

I know other users have experienced similar issues - but I am having trouble debugging or troubleshooting why this is happening.
Any suggestions on how to further troubleshoot or resolve this issue would be appreciated!
    Dan

I was able to resolve the login page looping issue.
The issue is related to the login page being a JSF page based on a page template.
When I created the JSF login page as a page template - the template contains a binding:
    <af:pageTemplate viewId="/test-template.jsf" value="#{bindings.ptb1}" id="pt1">
When I deploy my application to the test weblogic server, the anonymous-role grants are not being respected. So even though I grant view access to the login JSF page to anonymous-role -- it appears that weblogic is trying to request a login for any page with a pageDef (including the login page). By re-creating the login page with no pageDef (a JSF page that does not use a page template) -- the login page is displayed (rather than entering into a loop).
There is still a seperate issue with the anonymous-role grant not working as I would expect it to work that I will need to troubleshoot further.

  • Deploy application on standalone WebLogic 11g(10.3.6)

    Dear Sir/Madam
I have installed standalone Oracle WebLogic Server 11g(10.3.6),so I used JDeveloper 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.3.0).
Moreover, I created an application like of "Developing Rich Web Applications With Oracle ADF Part3" Tutorial, yet I could deployed and run.
This sample has two pages(DeptEmpPage & query).I clicked the "Query" button but not happened instead of to navigate to another page.
    briefly:
1- I could run correctly on embedded WebLogic Server 10.3.
2- it run standalone the (DeptEmpPage or query) pages on standalone WebLogic. it means both of pages are in war file.
    Best regards,
    Saeed.

    Hi User
Though I'm not fully clear of your question, as I understand it, it seems that you are not able to run this same app on the standaloe WLS as opposed to the Integrated WLS, though you point out that they are both WAR files.
    1. have you configured the domains and the datasources forthe standalone WLS as you have done for the IWLS
    2. the model.jar and the ViewControllerRC are packaged in a WAR, and the deploy script allows you to deploy to an EAR. so the ear is the one you will have to deploy/copy to the standalone version.

  • Deploy Jdeveloper 11.1.2 ADF Application on weblogic 10.3.5 ???

I don't want to install ADR on my weblogic. how to create ear file having all the required adf jar and war files in it?
what is recommended installing ADR on production weblogic server or having ear file containing required war and jar files and why?

Then how would we deploy jdeveloper 11.1.2 application on jBoss? You wouldn't, at least if you want a supported configuration. Right now, WLS and IBM WebSphere are the only ones supported, and yes, you do install the ADR on WebSphere. If you want to try to get it working on JBoss, you can fuss around with JAR files in the classpath, but it's not going to be supported.

  • Can I deploy the IDS applications to Weblogic?

Can I deploy the IDS(Form 10g) applications to Weblogic?
    thanks!

I'm not sure that's entirely correct.
Personally I run both EJBs and servlets/JSP in OC4J. OC4J has all the 'web' features of IAS, including full SSL support.
From a speed perspective, running the EJBs and web components in the same container will give you a huge benefit.
Also I'm not sure what you mean by "you can't deploy EJBs into OC4J yet" - I do it daily? ;)

  • Weblogic 92 MP3  Deployment of newer version of application in production

    Hi,
I have Weblogic 9.2 MP3. I need to deploy newer version of application in Production (first in QA).
My question is that, can i deploy that newer version of application without stopping the server (after deploy i need to restart, i know) on the server ?
I think it might give the problem because of the same name of the application.
If suppose i am able to deploy the application will it run properly with the environment (means the production or QA).
Please provide me the documentation other then bea official.
    Thanks in advance!!!!!!

  • Can not deploy after upgrading application from workshop 8.1 to 9.2

    Hi,
We have an application developed on workshop 8.1 worked fine. when we upgrade the application to 9.2, the application can not be deployed on weblogic server. The error is
    weblogic.application.ModuleException: [HTTP:101064][WebAppModule(SynDesk:SynDesk
Web)] Error parsing descriptor in Web appplication "C:\build\weboutput"
    "weblogic.application.ModuleException: Unmarshaller failed'

    "weblogic.j2ee.descriptor.ParamValueBeanImpl@dccea29(/[NTLM HTTP Authentication
    Filter]/InitParams[jcifs.netbios.wins])"
When I remove the NTLM filter part in the web.xml, the application is able to be deployed. But of course application does not work propertly due to no authentication.
How can I fix the web.xml file with everything works as before? Thanks for your help

Hi. The issue is a level or two above JDBC. I suggest
opening an official support case. It's probably a
    WLW issue.

  • How can I deploy the WAR application in the Tomcat

How can I deploy the WAR application in the Tomcat. Do I have to do any manifest file.
    Thanks
    S. Nikov

First of all, which version of Tomcat are you using?
Deploying a WAR file in Tomcat is very easy. Just put the WAR file in the %TOMCAT_HOME%\webapps directory and start Tomcat. It will automatically find the WAR.
Please read the Tomcat documentation: start Tomcat and point your browser to http://localhost:8080

  • How to deploy Jdeveloper application to war file using jasper reports?

    Hello people,
I´m not sure I this is the right place to ask, but I really need help.
    I´m using Jdeve 10.1.3.2
My application is working perfectly. However when I deploy to war file in publish it into application server OC4J. I can´t print report.
the error says that it can´t find jrxml file.
I´ve tried to deploy report´s files with the applicaiton. I´ve tried just to set the path of the jrxml file. but nothing works.
How can I deploy my applicattion to use Jasper reports correctly?
    Thanks willian

    Hi,
I think first you need to wrap it into an EAR file, then you can deploy it.
As far as I know standalone deployment of WAR is deprecated as of 640.
