Can we export materialized view data

I have materialized view in the source, I want to export same to the destination. Source and the destination are in two different servers.
Thanks

What version?
In 9i and 10.1, if you export a MV, it will import in as a regular table. You won't be able to refresh the data. (Not sure if the same is true for data pump in 10g)
If you need to extract the DDL to rebuild the MV you can try this command:
select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('MATERIALIZED_VIEW',MVIEW_NAME,OWNER) from dba_mviews;

  • Can I create Materialized View base on a view?

    Dear all,
    I has a view named view01 base on scott.emp. Can I create Materialized View base on view01? How to do it.
    please help me.

    Yes, you can :
    create materialized view my_mview as select * from scott.view01;
    Of course this is the simplest syntax. You may want to add options, depending on the refresh mode and other things. For a complete documentation see

  • How can I export complex FRF data in ASCII files especially UFF58 format?

    Background:
    I have a problem saving analysed data into a format that another software program (MODENT) can import.
    I am using "SVA_Impact TEST (DAQmx).seproj", to acquire force and acceleration signals from a SISO hammer model test, and process up to the stage of an FRF and coherence plot. I need to export the FRF information into MODENT, meaning it must contain both magnitude and phase (real and complex) information in one file. (MODENT does not need the coherence information, which is only really used during the testing process to know we have good test data. The coherence information can already easily be saved into ASCII text file, and kept for test records - not a problem).
    MODENT is a speciaised modal analysis package, and the FRFs from tests can be imported into its processing environment using its "utilities". The standard is a UFF58 file containing the FRF information.
    Labview does not seem to be able to export the FRF data in UFF58 format. In general, Labview can export to UFF58, but only the real information, not the complex information - is this correct?
    Is there a way to export the real and complex information from FRFs using one file.
    I am working on this problem from both ends:
    1. MODENT support, to help interface into MODENT.
    2. Lavbiew support, to try to generate an exported file format with all necessry analysed data.

    Hi
    Have a look at the "seproj" and "vi" versions I mentioned in this thread - both available from the supplied example VIs in Signal Express and Labview. I've also attached these here.
    The "seproj"version has what are called "limits" for the input data, meaning it cheks certain criteria to make sure the test data sentfor analysis (to give the FRF) is wihin certain limits: 1. "overload" where the amplitude must be below a set maxiumum, 2. "time", where the signal must deacy to zero within the time envelope. These are useful test check functions to have.
    I looked at the conversion from SE to Labview VIs, but if I understand correctly, this essenetially embeds the SEproject in Labview, but does not allow the same use of viewing of the user windows during testing (eg seeing the overload plots, editing the overload levels, etc)?
    Other settings:
    -signal input range, sensitivity, Iex source, Iex value, dB reference, No. of samples and sample rate.
    -triggering off the hammer, with all the setting optons shown in step setup for "trigger"
    -all settings associated with the load and time limits; presented in a very useful format of either defining by X,Y coordinates, or by scalling.
    -all config and averaging options for the freqency response.
    The practise envirnoment in the SEProj version is also useful, as getting the technique right for using the hammer is not always easy, and it allows a quick check of basic settingsbefore doing the actual tests.
    The Nyquist plot in the VI version is useful.
    Happy New Year to everyone !

  • JDev 11.1.1.4 can't see materialized view

    I'm trying to use the entity object creation wizard to create an EO for a materialized view, but when I browse the database objects it does not see the materialized view. I saw one other post about something like this from back in 2009. Does anyone know if this is a known issue or if there is a workaround?

    OK, this appears to be an issue with cross-schema access to mat. views. Normally my db connections connects as a different user than the one that owns my database objects. Even though I can log in as that user in Toad and see the materialized view just fine, JDeveloper does not see it. When I change the JDev DB connection to connect as the user that owns the mat. view, it sees it just fine. So I change the DB connection, created my entity object, then changed the connection back. Verified this on 2 separate applications.
    Oddly, now that I've changed the connection back, if I do a "Synchronize" on the entitiy object, it appears to recognize the mat. view in the database just fine.

  • Can I export Warp Stabilizer Data?

    I have two identical video clips, they match frame for frame, however one of them is under exposed and is a lot darker. Therefore it is a lot harder for warp stablizer to work.
    Can I somehow export the data from the warp stabilizer on the clip that it works on to apply it to the under exposed clip?
    I would use Mocha to stabilize the shot, but I am having difficulties with it, since it requires frames to match throughout and my shot is rotating.
    Any help is greatly apprecaited TIA

    If you have identical footage then you either had a motion control camera, and even then it's highly unlikely to be exactly frame for frame unless the rig was very big, heavy and expensive and your actors were robots because anything moving in the scene would throw off the warp stabilizing, or the camera was locked down and there was nothing moving in the scene. There must be some differences in the shots or there would be no need to work on the one that is under exposed.
    There is nothing keeping from you from making exposure or color grading adjustments on the original clip then pre-composing or rendering a clean copy, and warp stabilizing that clip. I don't think anything else is going to work.

    I've been having problems myself opening up excel files when they are still attached to processes in Visual Studio.  ?We first need to determine if the excel file is good to determine if the problem is with the creating of the excel file or the reading
    of the excel file.  Your problem may just be that the ecxcel file is no getting closed properly. So first try stopping visual Studio.  Then check the following
    1) Check the task manager to make sure there is no excel.exe process running.  If there are any excel.exe running kill the process.
    2) Try opening up the excel file and see if the excel file contains any data and check if the data is in the correct locations.
    3) Check the excel worksheet to make sure it is in a table format
           a) All the rows contain data in the primary key column (usually the first column)
           b) There are no blank rows of data before tthe last row of data
           c) There is a header row in row number 1 with text in some of the columns
           d) Check to see the number of worksheets in the workbook.

  • Can you export only certain dates or events?

    I use iCal on my laptop to organize my life, but my job wants me to be on Oracle too. So I export my iCal "work" calendar and import it in Oracle. Fine. But then I add something to my calendar, and I want to put it on Oracle too. if I export my "work" calendar again, and import it on Oracle, now I've got one new event and duplicates of every other event I imported the first time.
    Is there a way to export my iCal calendar for only a range of dates? Or only this or that event? The ideal would be to be able to export everything added since the last export, but I don't see anything like that in the options.
    help -- this seems like an obvious and necessary feature, and I'm sure I'm just missing how to do it...

    HI,
    Did you ever determine an answer to this question? I really need to export data after a certain date... (I would also like to publish a calendar, after a certain date-- as no one needs to see the "old" events).

  • Can't export and view imovies to fs10

    I seem to have the opposite problem that many other have. I'm able to get video from my new fs10 to imovie '08 to edit and create a movie however I can't seem to get it off my MacBook to watch on tv. I've tried putting the movie in all kinds of formats onto an SDHC card and then play back through the a/v connection on the fs10 but it never reads any scenes on the card. I've even tried putting the card with the movie on it into my wii and it won't read it either. Please help. How can I watch my movies on my tv without burning a disc or connecting the computer directly to the tv?

    The audio mixdown is a final audio render of sorts to create the correct output channels you set in FCP's preferences. Or at least that's my understanding of it. For simple two to four audio track projects, it often isn't needed for the MPEG-2/AIF export, but for projects containing more complex audio (extra tracks, audio filters, etc) it usually is.

  • Can Oracle materialized view be used as crystal report datasource

    Hi,
    Can we use materialized view created in Orace 10g database as the data source of crystal reports.
    I'm using Crystal reports Server 2008 V1 version. I'm unable to find the materialized view under my data connection. I can see only tables, static views and stored procedures.
    Is there a way by which I can run my reports against a materialized view created in Oracle.
    Thanks
    Thomas EL

    Hi Thomas,
    Rather than doing all of this work around to access multiple databases/servers why not create a stored procedure to do all of this for you? Search the notes area for samples on how/what CR requires to use a SP in Oracle.
    Advantages is this is done all server side and CR simply waits for the data to be returned. Even if you are using a BVM or connecting directly to the SP, both cases are server side. Database servers are much more efficient and optimized to run queries and filtering data. CR has to do the filtering on it's second pass and that causes performance delays.
    Thank you

  • Can we export DATA from all tables in a schema?

    Hi,
    I have a question; Can we export all the DATA from all the tables present in the schema to any source (eigther CSV, TXT, DAt, etc..)?
    Or
    Can I have a PL/SQL procedure to display DATA from all Tables in a schema?

    Hi,
    This is pretty much what you need.
    DECLARE
    V_COUNT NUMBER;
    v_sql varchar2(1000);
    IN_OWNER_NAME VARCHAR2(100) := 'AP' ; -- SCHEMA NAME
    TYPE T_COL_NAME is table of varchar2(1000) index by binary_integer;

         WHERE owner = IN_OWNER_NAME
         AND object_type ='TABLE'
    and rownum < 2)
    LOOP
    v_sql := 'SELECT COUNT(*) FROM ' || i.object_name ;
    EXECUTE IMMEDIATE v_sql INTO V_COUNT;
    if v_count > 0 then
    v_sql := 'SELECT * FROM ' || i.object_name ;
    select column_name
    bulk collect

    AND OWNER = IN_OWNER_NAME;
    -- start selecting the column and exporting using the column names selected.
    end if;
    if v_col_tbl.count > 0 then
    for i in v_col_tbl.first .. v_col_tbl.last
    loop
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_lINE(v_col_tbl(i));
    end loop;
    end if;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_lINE( i.object_name || '-' || v_count);

  • How can we export table data to a CSV file??

    Hi,
    I have the following requirement. Initially business agreed upon, exporting the table data to Excel file. But now, they would like to export the table data to a CSV file, which is not being supported by af:exportCollectionActionListener component.
    Because, when i opened the exported CSV file, i can see the exported data sorrounded with HTML tags. Hence the issue.
    Does someone has any solution for this ... Like, how can we export the table data to csv format. And it should work similar to exporting the data to excel sheet.
    For youre reference here is the code which i have used to export the table data..

    Hi Alex,
    I have already visited that POST and it works only in 10g. Not in 11g.
    I got the solution for this. The solution is :
    Use the following code in jsff
    ==================
    <af:commandButton text="Export Data" id="ctb1">><af:fileDownloadActionListener contentType="text/csv; charset=utf-8"
    >filename="test.csv"
    >method="#{pageFlowScope.pageFlowScopeDemoAppMB.test}"/>
    ></af:commandButton>
    OR
    <af:commandButton text="Export Data" id="ctb1">><af:fileDownloadActionListener contentType="application/vnd.ms-excel; charset=utf-8"
    >filename="test.csv"
    >method="#{pageFlowScope.pageFlowScopeDemoAppMB.test}"/>
    ></af:commandButton>
    And place this code in ManagedBean
    ======================
    > public void test(FacesContext facesContext, OutputStream outputStream) throws IOException {
    > DCBindingContainer dcBindings = (DCBindingContainer)BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry();
    >DCIteratorBinding itrBinding = (DCIteratorBinding)dcBindings.get("fetchDataIterator");
    >tableRows = itrBinding.getAllRowsInRange();
    preparaing column headers
    >PrintWriter out = new PrintWriter(outputStream);
    >out.print(" ID");
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print("Name");
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print("Designation");
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print("Salary");
    >out.println();
    preparing column data
    > for(Row row : tableRows){
    >DCDataRow dataRow = (DCDataRow)row;
    > DataLoaderDTO dto = (DataLoaderDTO)dataRow.getDataProvider();
    >out.print(dto.getId());
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print(dto.getName());
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print(dto.getDesgntn());
    >out.print(",");
    >out.print(dto.getSalary());
    >out.println();
    >}
    >out.flush();
    >out.close();
    > }
    And do the following settings(*OPTIONAL*) for your browser - Only in case, if the file is being blocked by IE

What do you hope to achieve by this? A refresh? If so, a simple refresh of the old materialized view will do.
    If you truly want to continue this road, you'll have to use the EXECUTE IMMEDIATE command to execute DDL commands from within PL/SQL.
