can we put a button on stack canvas
and if we write hide_view it works??

We can put button on Stacked Canvas, and if you want to use HIDE_VIEW the stacked canvas in that button, then first you have to move the cursor to another item which belongs to other canvas,
OR
you have to set the Mouse Navigable and Keyboard Navigable properties of that button to FALSE.
If this is not what you want then please explain what you actually want to achieve.

you should describe a little bit more what you want to do (e.g. navigation buttons or buttons in containers like e.g. in ESS Address). FPM usually has a quite high reusability so button components are often reused. In case there is already a button component that has everything you need you can just use the self-service administrator to add this view to the right perspective in your FPM application. In case you talk about those buttons that are in the Overview screens than those buttons are dynamically generated.
In case you just want to have your own button then create this button and fire an FPM event from it. You need to add this event to the FPM view configuration in the self-service administrator. Alternatively you can create a button component and reuse it later. -

Tab canva disapear whith stacked canvas
hi guys,
in my form there is:
1. content canvas
2.tabbed canvas
when i put a stacked canvas the tabbed canvas disapear. any help?stack canvas can not put on top of tab canvas.
what I did is to put tab canvas on content canvas and make tab canvas height very short, and then put stack canvas right below tab canvas that look like it's on tab. -
Stacked Canvas Layout and Design
I am trying to create a canvas template for use in our development environment. What I am wanting to do is to create a header and a footer section on this template with a stacked canvas in the middle. This stacked canvas would hold all of the content, data and controls for each form. This stacked canvas is the only thing that would change. The header and footer would look the same for each form. I am trying to create something similar to an HTML page with frames that defines header, content and footer frames. I want the user to be able to vertically scroll only the stacked canvas while the header and footer stay in position.
My question is: How can I use the tools in Forms Builder to place controls in the stacked canvas? The builder does not allow me to scroll the stacked canvas in design mode so I can't reach all the areas of the stacked canvas. Does this make sense?

Thanks...It isn't exactly clear, but assuming you have a content canvas (which I like to call the parent) and a stacked canvas "stacked" on top of the parent the there are several ways to put objects on the stacked canvas. Probably the easest and clearest is to simply find the stacked canvas in the Object Navigator and double click on it. This should open the Layout Editor with the parent canvas window selected (white boarder) and the stacked canvas displayed on top and selected (black boarder). Now just draw your objects on it. You can verify that they are on the stacked canvas by looking at the Properties for each object. You should see where you can choose which canvas you want the object to be displayed.
If this does not work, look in the Builder menu "View" > "Stacked canvas..." and ensure that your stacked canvas is not being hidden. If the stacked canvas is already displayed in the Layout Editor, this menu item may be disabled.
I am assuming you are using Forms 10.1.2 or newer. Older versions will be slightly different. -

I am tried to put a hyperlink button on the Canvas in Applet.
But Canvas is a componet that can't contain any component.

On Firefox 4, how can I put one "new tab" on the "tab bar" (The + sign) and one next to the "back/forward" buttons (as in FF 3.6)?
In my current Firefox, the "new tab" icon/item from the "customize" pop-up window menu of items is placed next to my home, back, forward buttons near the top-left of my header (Button 1 for "new tab"). Then, the tab bar automatically come with a small tab (with a + sign) to the right of your last tab opened (so you click on + and a new tab opens. Button 2 for "new tab"). I like to have this "new tab" button twice (as a + mini tab, and next to my "home icon".
When I upgraded to Firefox 4, I seemed to be only able to "customize" or use the "new tab" in one place. Either as an icon next to home button, or as a "+ minitab", but NOT both.
What can I do to put this button in Firefox 4 on BOTH places???

The bookmarks toolbar is there but has no item buttons on it. How do I get the items back for this toolbar?
Also would like to know if the toolbar can be put on the same line to make more room on the page (drag & drop) ?? Like the menu & bookmarks toolbar could/should fit on same line. This would add more page view...

* Make sure that you have the "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible: "View > Toolbars"
* Check in "View > Toolbars > Customize" that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize window onto the Bookmarks Toolbar
* If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" then click the "Restore Default Set" button
You can only move the content from a toolbar onto other toolbars if all toolbars support that feature. You need to check that in the options of each toolbar. -

ThanksYou would use the when-tab-page-changed trigger to use hide_view and show_view commands to hide one stacked canvas and show another.
Just keep in mind that for a canvas to be displayed, the cursor must be in an item on that canvas, or at least in an item NOT covered by the canvas. -

Aborting normally works fine for very small applications or architectures but not for anything after that. Aborting a VI can leave things in states that you don't want to be in or references open. Sometimes you do need to Abort the code though (other programming environments use Abort buttons) so I don't think we can get rid of it entirely.But try to avoid it maximum.

You need to open the form in which you want to put the submit button,
then you have to choose 'Add new field' under Tasks pane on the right Hand side of the window.
Choose 'Ok' Button
Place the button at desired Location
Change the field name to 'Submit'
Click on 'All Properties' (Button Properties window Will open up)
Click on Actions Tab and then on 'Select Action:'
Choose 'Open a web Link' from the Drop Down Menu and then Click 'Add'
another window will appear in which you have to type this: mailto:[your email address], eg: mailto:[email protected] later click close
Click Close Form editing on the right hand side of the window
Clicking on the Button would open up your default email client and your address would appear in 'To' field.
Please feel free if you face any challenges in following through these steps.

Can I put buttons on top of a slideshow?
My client has asked the latest cover of their magazine to have a slow crossfade of about 5 images as the background, with elements such as logos & links to articles over the top.
I thought this would be easy since the Slideshow » Crossfade feature is simple to control, but I run into trouble as soon as I put anything on top of it—the slideshow appears on top of everything else in the preview, even if it's an interactive element.
Am I missing a step somewhere? I feel like this should be a relatively simple thing to do—but it's been about 6 months since my last DPS project so I'm a little rusty, and a lot has been updated in the meantime.
My other option would be to do the crossfade in Photoshop and import as an image sequence, but I suspect I'd run into the same problem (correct me if I'm wrong!).
Or I could do the animation in Edge Animate and import as an HTML object. Would either of those options give me better results? They seem a little more complex for essentially the same end product.Yep, they're buttons.
So far I've only added one button, for initial testing. It's the client's logo as a placed Illustrator file. In Buttons and Forms, it's type is a Button, I've named it and On Release or Tap it has a Go To URL action. It has no rollover or click states and it is not Hidden Until Triggered. I feel like I'm missing a step somewhere there...
Putting the buttons into each state of the MSO works fine, but is less than ideal since they'll change many times before the final version. Updating 5 versions of the same thing each time will get a bit tedious! That's the only way I can get it to work for now though, so I'll keep going like that.
Adding a text frame with scrollable content works fine - it appears on top of the slideshow.
Adding another slideshow on top works as well... but my buttons don't!
EDIT: And yes, I mean in Adobe Content Viewer. It displays the same on the desktop version and on my iPad.

You need to contact the people who administer the networks to get the passwords for the networks. If there was such an app as you are asking for then passwords for wifi networks would be worthless.

My entire music Library is now on my ipod ONLY.iTunes corrupted.
