Can we select planned posting run in AFAB for new assets

Dear all,
we have new co .code.I have done all the settings for the same.our fiscal year is from july to june.we have aquired assets for this co.code in Jan'09 and capitalised in the same month.
In AFAB,
Should I select planned posting run or unplanned posting run.Doc. is generated in case of unplanned and error has come in case of planned-both in test run.I have given period as 07(jan).is it correct or should I run from period 01.
Which one is correct.
either planned or unplanned.
Can any of you suggest me ?

since there are no assets in previous periods i understand system will not check for previous periods when you run AFAB for Jan 2009. i.e .period 07 in your case. You can run in test mode and check the error message. Otherwise you can run unplanned in run Period 07 by skipping the all the previous periods.

  • Posting run terminated AFAB

    Hi All,
    When I post dep. with AFAB for the period 3 the error follows:
    LAST POSTING RUN TERMINATED(Restart in period 2011 002)
    When I restart post dep in AFAB
    Background job is in finished status with no list, but it say's "document posted in restart" but no document is created.

    I assume you re receiving message AA730, isn't it?
    as note 174300 describes error AA730 is caused by improper handling
    of the incorrect depreciation posting run.
    Please review the Consistency Check Report FI-AA Customizing
    and correct the errors.
    Go to the IMG ->
    Financial Accounting -> Asset Accounting -> Preparing for Production
    Start up -> Check Consistency ->Consistency report: FI-AA Customizing
    Please review carefully the attached notes 174300, 193984 (this
    note describes possible reasons of issues and how to correct it).

    As long as you bought the current version of Aperture from the App Store you can download it as many time as you like without any additional cost.
    You need to make sure you use the same Apple ID when you log into the App Store as you used when you first purchased Aperture.

    Repeat run you can do only for the last depreciation period. For the asset which you are tryin to post depreciation from July to Jan, please check the asset value date which you have given while posting the transactions or in the asset master.
    If the asset value date is in July, then deprecaition from July - Jan will get posted in the current month depreciation in total. You will not be able to post depreciation individually month wise using AFAB.

  • I can not run the depreciation for particular asset which was not acqustion

                     I have created asset master in july 2010 when i did purchase that asset, but i did not post  the asset aqusistion in f-90 up to january. but on remianing all assets i did run the depreciation job  on every month.  Now in january ,  i have openend the posting periods from july to march and post that asset aqusisition f-90 in july psoting period., we are using april to march fiscal year.
                      when i am trying to  run depreciation job repeat run in  afab in test mode from july to december   it showing the error message that, depreciation already done for that proper periods. But in janauary when i am trying to run in test mode, It showing total depreciation amount from july to january , and it hit to only in january month but not to july to december each months.
    Now i want to psot the deprectiation for each month of july onwards to january 2010.
        pelase reply how to do run deprecaiton for that particular asset for each month for july to january

  • Can I do consumption posting directly in EWM for 201 mvt of ERP?

    Hi All
    Can I do consumption posting in EWM system such that I will trigger consumption posting in ERP for a cost center with 201 movement type?
    I have checked the transaction '/SCWM/ADGI' but, it does not have any such option in the drop down for 'GI Process'.
    I have seen a node in EWM configuration at the node 'Interfaces -> ERP Integration -> Goods Movements -> Defind Custom specific movement types -> Communication EWM --> ERP custom movement types'.
    But, I haven't seen any further controls for the EWM movement types given there.
    Would you please help me if such thing is possible in EWM?

    in the standard scenario ODSH is meant for deliveries to a customer. So the delivery in ERP would be invoice relevant - if you have done any mapping. ODIN is the delivery type meant for "internal" deliveries, meaning deliveries for a cost center or IO.
    What you need to set up is the mapping of delivery types in ERP, you also need to allow the account assignment categories in your warehouse number and you need to upload the account assignment data = cost centers into EWM.

    We ran the depreciation run for period 4 - and now we see that the 2 manual assets are wrong because after changing the depreciation key from LINS to MANU - I forgot to 'recalculate values'  of the asset again
    so now the depreciation posted for these 2 assets is incorrect
    what can i do to repost the depreciation for ONLY these 2 assets...

  • I have working Netgear network. Want to add new Time Capsule and run 2nd network for new apple TV and Imac, and keep the netgear network for my PC and Canon printer.

    I have working Netgear N600 dual band router network. The existing network has an XP netbook PC, canon printer, 2 Iphones, Epson Air printer, an Ipad, 3 roku boxes, backup drive. Just bought a new Apple TV box, and time capsule 2T.  I have an IMac on order but don't have it here yet.
    My goal is to add new Time Capsule and create 2nd "apple" network for new apple TV, Iphones, Ipad, Epson Air printer and new Imac, and keep the netgear network for my PC, Roku TV boxes, and Canon printer and backup drive.
    The Netgear router, the time capsule and new IMac will be on the same desktop, I dont need to backup my netbook PC to time capsule.
    Where do I start?
    Which device connects to my modem first, the TC2 or the Netgear?
    Is it best wait for the Imac before starting or can the TC2 be set up from my Ipad or PC?

    It is pretty simple..
    Setup the TC in bridge and plug it into the Netgear.. I would leave the netgear as the main router for now, although in the future you can swap things around. The netgear firmware may have issues with bonjour and airplay/airprint?? Does your ipad print ok now?
    You can setup the TC using Mac, PC (at least up to win7) or iOS.. they all have airport utility available.
    Bridge mode is set differently depending on the version of the utility. This is v5 and how the windows one will look (at least similar to).

    With the TC in bridge you will still create a wireless network.. and give it a different name from the netgear.. then all the apple devices can connect to it. Use ethernet rather than wireless if the imac is on the desktop with it. Much faster and better for using Time Machine backups.
    If you run into any issues.. just post the particular issue. It will take a bit of getting used to, but isn't hard.

  • Unable to delete EPMA Planning app & re-use datasource for new app

    We have EPMA Planning application (v11.1.1.3)
    I am trying to delete a deployed planning application and try to use the same datasource for creating new application.
    I have deleted the application from EPMA application library and deleted it from Planning directory in Shared Services. But, still that datasource is not showing up as available datasource for new application.
    Any ideas to how I can re-use the datasource. Please advise.

    You may need to update the planning system tables.
    Go into the planning system relational tables
    Table HSPSYS_APPLICATION, delete row relating to planning app, note the app_id.
    Table HSPSYS_PROPERTIES, delete records with id that you have just stored.
    Table HSPSYS_DATASOURCES, update app_id to -1 for the datasource you use for the planning app.
    Restart Planning.
    Try again.

  • How to change posting date in AFAB for previous terminated run.

    Hi Experts,
    I cannot do the depreciation run of May, the system tells me that the run of April was terminated by an error and that I have to restart the depreciation of April first. But when I try to restart it, I have to mention period 4 and then system automatically will book the run in the posting period 4. But this is no more possible, the period has been closed and results of it were reported to the Corporate. So they do not allow us to reopen it.
    Is there a way or possibility to change the posting date so we may run AFAB successfully on the current open period?
    Appreciate for your fast feedback as we will have to do the May closing soon and this has to work then.

    Apart from the above solution ,another option is to restart the depreciation in April which might post additional documents in April and then post negative unplanned depreciation in April for that amount ( for this u might have to create a new transaction type where positive depreciation is allowed ) and do the repeat run. By doing this the books will not have any value impact in April 2008
    And then reverse this negative unplanned depreciation in May through regular transaction type i.e 640 or 650.
