Can we use the metadata value of an asset without prefix

I am using the DAM asset  (com.day.cq.dam.api.Asset;)  and reading the metadata values using the keys
   e.,g. asset.getMetadataValue("dc:format");
Is there a way I can add a value to the metadata something like ("dummyType") or (":dummyType").
There are already some key values in metadata e.g.  asset.getMetadataValue("Type");
But for "Type" an empty string is returned, does any one have suggestions or a workaround for this ?
Thanks

  • How can I use the output value from SIMPLE PID to write something to the serial port?

    I am working on my Senior Design Project that requires the use of incoming compressed air, propotional valves, continuous servo motors, and a serial servo motor microcontroller.  I have figured out how to send byte sequences to the microcontroller through LabVIEW using the VISA serial write function.  The motors are attached to the valves to control the flow rate.  I have created my own simple feedback system using a bunch of case structures but I realized that I am basically trying to recreate the wheel (I basically was writing my own PID VI).   I have an older version of LabVIEW (7.0 Express) and theres no way to upgrade or buy the PID toolkit, so I am stuck using the Simple PID VI.  Also, the only way the motor works is sending an array of bytes to tell it to turn on/off, direction, and speed.  Is there any way I can use the Simple PID VI in conjunction with the VISA SERIAL write function, or is there any other way I can communicate with the serial port using this pid vi?  Any information would be appreciated.

    Hi gpatel,
    you know how to communicate to serial port, but you don't know how to send a value from SimplePID to serial port???
    You know how to communicate, but then you don't know how to communicate???
    You should explain this in more detail...
    Edit:
    From you first post you know what values your motor driver is expecting. You know which values the PID.vi is providing. Now all you need is a formula to reshape the values from PID to the motor. It's up to you to make such a formula. Unless you provide any details we cannot give more precise answers...

  • HT204023 Can i use the personal hotspot on my iphone without switchin on my cellular data ?

    I wish to create a hotspot but it asks me to first switch on my cellular data.
    Cant I create a hotspot without turning on my cellular data ?

    clearly they are trying to create a hotspot from a wifi internet connection but don't want to use cellular.
    Perhaps it's the only device that can connect ( ie Hotel wifi)
    If the iPhone can connect to the wifi, the computer can connect to the wifi.
    Why use the iPhone to connect to wifi then connect the computer to the iPhone via wifi to get the computer onto hotel wifi?

  • Can i use my time capsule as back up without hooking it to internet

    Can I use my Time Capsule as a back up without hooking it up to the modem?
    Can I use the Time Capsule as back up without hookig it up to internet?

    Yes, but it is extremely poor setup.
    The TC does not have to be the main router.. normally you can plug it into the main router and simply bridge it and leave the wireless off even.. it then sits there as a dumb network drive.
    If you setup the TC with no internet connection then the computer that backs up to it, must lose internet connection while doing backups.. In stand alone simple setup the TC as router. and ignore all the issues with disconnected WAN. When you want to backup change over the computer wireless or ethernet to the TC.
    It is clunky and you will lose the whole advantage of time machine.. automated backups.
    I recommend you simply buy a USB drive. it is faster, more reliable and less costly.

    >> I want to sum every parent recursively to the top of parent <<
    The terms “parent” and “child” are part of network databases and NOT RDBMS. We have “weak entity” and “{strong entity” in our data models today.

  • Can I use the value returned from a Text Function in another Formula?

    I'm writing a report in Hyperion System 9 BI + Financial Reporting Studio version 9.2. I have 2 grids in my report.
    Grid1 Column A is set up as a text function using the function type - <<GetCell("Grid2", 1, a, 1)>>. I would like to use the values returned from this text function in Column A (Grid 1) in a formula in Column B (Grid 1).
    Is it possible to use the values returned in Column A of the text function in another formula? My report does not seem to recognize Column A as numerical values, even though the values to be returned are numerical.
    If so, how do I recognize the values in Column A Grid 1 as numerical values and not text?
    Thanks for any help you can offer!

    Hi Edson,
    Yes you need to use the CALC_ERROR macro function to be able to test whether the last macro function returned an error. CALC_ERROR will return an 'X' if there an error occured during the execution of the last macro function.
    You can use a macro similar to the following:
    IF
      CALC_ERROR( )
      = 'X'
          DO SOMETHING HERE
    ENDIF
    Let me explain how this works internally. The SAP system maintains a global variable g_flg_calc_error during the execution of macros in the planning book. The g_flg_calc_error variable will contain the value of f_calc_error that was set by the last macro function which executed. The ABAP coding of a planning book is something like this:
    data: g_flg_calc_error type /SAPAPO/FLAG.
    * SAP will pass g_flg_calc_error variable to all macro
    * functions. When SAP calls a macro function, it does
    * something like this.
    call function '/SAPAPO/MACRO_FUNCTION_HERE'
            exporting
              plob_values      = i_s_adv_plob_values
              sdp_book         = g_c_advf_sdp_book
              sdp_view         = g_c_advf_sdp_view
            tables
              cols_index       = i_t_cols
              value_tab        = l_t_value_tab
            changing
              f_calc_error     = g_flg_calc_error
    As you can see, the g_flg_calc_error variable
    is passed in the "changing" part of the call. The macro  function being called can then use the f_calc_error
    variable to change the value of the global
    g_flg_calc_error variable. In fact, the macro function being called can also check (by looking at the f_calc_error variable) if the last macro function reported an error.  The CALC_ERROR macro function just checks the value of f_calc_error parameter (w/c in fact is the value of the g_flg_calc_error variable) and returns "true/X" if the f_calc_error was set to true by the last macro function.
    Hope this helps in clearing things out

     Thanks Amit for your solution but i can not use the string to write the value because  MB Ethernet master Query.vi only accepet the integer value its not take string values or any other i.e floats values etc.....otherwise i have  no problem to write or read the 32 bit register values , only problem is that the MB Ethernet master Query.vi only accept the integer value there4 how can write the float value.

  • Can another reporting tool use the metadata from BI Server?

    Does anyone know if an external reporting tool can use the metadata and security that exists in the Repository? We want to leverage the metadata in the BI Server using a tool other than Answers.

    Hi
    You have an option. There is a client tool 'Oracle BI Publisher Client' where you will be able to see the Presentation columns and create your own reports there. I have used this before in word and I guess it is still the same way for Excel. Check for yourself. The difference between BI Office plug-in and Oracle BI Publisher Desktop is that later allows to see columns to create new reports.
    BI Publisher is Advanced Reporting in BI EE Plus
    • BI Server semantic layer as a data source
    • BI Answers request as a data source
    • BI Publisher report in a Dashboard w/ prompts
    • Security
    Verify for Excel though.
    Good Luck

    Hi all!
    I'm a have small problem , can any one help me? Please
    I make a project which very similar to Product project(in

    1) Have Assembler class: I work correctly
    package flex.samples.stock;
    import java.util.List;
    import java.util.Collection;
    import java.util.Map;
    import flex.data.DataSyncException;
    import flex.data.assemblers.AbstractAssembler;
    public class StockAssembler extends AbstractAssembler {
    public Collection fill(List fillArgs) {
    StockService service = new StockService();
    System.out.print(fillArgs.size());
    return service.getStocks();
    public Object getItem(Map identity) {
    StockService service = new StockService();
    return service.getStock(((Integer)
    identity.get("StockId")).intValue());
    public void createItem(Object item) {
    StockService service = new StockService();
    service.create((Stock) item);
    public void updateItem(Object newVersion, Object
    prevVersion, List changes) {
    StockService service = new StockService();
    boolean success = service.update((Stock) newVersion);
    if (!success) {
    int stockId = ((Stock) newVersion).getStockId();
    throw new DataSyncException(service.getStock(stockId),
    changes);
    public void deleteItem(Object item) {
    StockService service = new StockService();

    if (!success) {
    int stockId = ((Stock) item).getStockId();
    throw new DataSyncException(service.getStock(stockId),
    null);
    some require class is ok.
    2) I configure in data-management-config.xml
    <destination id="stockinventory">
    <adapter ref="java-dao" />
    <properties>
    <source>flex.samples.stock.StockAssembler</source>

    <network>
    <session-timeout>20</session-timeout>
    <paging enabled="false" pageSize="10" />
    <throttle-inbound policy="ERROR" max-frequency="500"/>
    <throttle-outbound policy="REPLACE"
    max-frequency="500"/>
    </network>
    </properties>
    </destination>
    3) My client app:
    I use :
    <mx:ArrayCollection id="stocks"/>
    <mx:DataService id="ds" destination="stockinventory"/>
    ds.fill(stocks); --> Problem here
    When I run this app, The StockAssembler on the server work
    correctly (i use printout to debug) . But variable stocks can't get
    the return value,it is a empty list.
    Please help me!

    Hi,
    The executeQueryAsync method is “asynchronous, which means that the code will continue to be executed without waiting for the server to
    respond”.
    From the error message “The collection has not been initialized”, which suggests that the object in use hadn’t been initialized after the execution of the executeQueryAsync method.
    I suggest you debug the code in browser to see which line of code will throw this error, then you can reorganize the logic of the code to avoid using the uninitialized object.

  • How can I get the edited value from the editor in JTable

    I have a JTextField added as an editor to a cell in JTable.
    I value gets changed when I press enter.
    but in actionPerformed of the JTextField when I say
    String txtEditorValue = txtEditor.getText();
    I am getting the old value. How can I get the edited value? Thanks.

    Hi,
    I guess, your understanding of how JTable works together with its models is not good enough - for example the method getTableCellEditorComponent(...) of the TableCellEditor interface is used to get the component, that should be used as editing component - its second parameter is a value that should be used to setup the editing component - it is normally not the editing component itself.
    JTable uses an underlying TableModel to store the cell values - if you have edited a cell, JTable gets the value of the editing component by itself and stores it in the TableModel using its setValueAt(...) method. To retrieve this data you only need to query the TableModel using row and column of this cell as parameters
    say jt is your JTable, and row and column are the row and column of the cell - so to get the value, simply use
    Object obj = jt.getModel().getValueAt(row,column);
    if you know, that there is a String in this cell use
    String str = (String) jt.getModel().getValueAt(row,column);
    The editor component is used for the view of the JTable - you only want the data, which is stored in the model - you don't have to deal with the GUI components in this case.
    greetings Marsian

  • Getter/setter methods -- how do I use the return values

    I'm just learning Java, and I haven't been to this site since the end of July, I think. I have a question regarding getter and setter methods. I switched to the book Head First Java after a poster here recommended it. I'm only about a hundred pages into the book, so the code I'm submitting here reflects that. It's the beginnings of a program I'd eventually like to complete that will take the entered information of my CD's and alphabetize them according to whatever criteria I (or any user for that matter) choose. I realize that this is just the very beginning, and I don't expect to have the complete program completed any time soon -- it's my long term goal, but I thought I could take what I'm learning in the book and put it to practical use as I go along (or at lest try to).
    Yes I could have this already done it Excel, but where's the fun and challenge in that? :) Here's the code:
    // This program allows the user to enter CD information - Artist name, album title, and year of release -- and then organizes it according the the user's choice according to the user's criteria -- either by artist name, then title, then year of release, or by any other order according to the user's choice.
    //First, the class CDList is created, along with the necessary variables.
    class CDList{
         private String artistName;//only one string for the artist name -- including spaces.
         private String albumTitle;//only one string the title name -- including spaces.
         private int yearOfRelease;
         private String recordLabel;
         public void setArtistName(String artist){
         artistName = artist;
         public void setAlbumTitle(String album){
         albumTitle = album;
         public void setYearOfRelease(int yor){
         yearOfRelease = yor;
         public void setLabel(String label){
         recordLabel = label;
         public String getArtistName(){
         return artistName;
         public String getAlbumTitle(){
         return albumTitle;
         public int getYearOfRelease(){
         return yearOfRelease;
        public String getLabel(){
        return recordLabel;
    void printout () {
           System.out.println ("Artist Name: " + getArtistName());
           System.out.println ("Album Title: " + getAlbumTitle());
           System.out.println ("Year of Release: " + getYearOfRelease());
           System.out.println ("Record Label: " + getLabel());
           System.out.println ();
    import static java.lang.System.out;
    import java.util.Scanner;
    class CDListTestDrive {
         public static void main( String[] args ) {

              CDList[] Record = new CDList[4];
              int x=0;

              String artist = s.nextLine();
              Record[x].setArtistName(artist);
              out.println ("Album Title: ");
              String album = s.nextLine();
              Record[x].setAlbumTitle(album);
              out.println ("Year of Release: ");
              int yor= s.nextInt();
                    s.nextLine();
              Record[x].setYearOfRelease(yor);
              out.println ("Record Label: ");
              String label = s.nextLine();
              Record[x].setLabel(label);
              System.out.println();
              x=x+1;//moves to next CDList object;

                Record[x].getYearOfRelease();
                Record[x].getLabel();
                Record[x].printout();
         }//end main
    }//end class          First, I'd like to ask anyone out there to see if I could have written this any more efficiently, with the understanding that I'm only one hundred pages into the book, and I've only gotten as far as getter and setter methods, instance variables, objects and methods. The scanner feature I got from another book, but I abandoned it in favor of HFJ.
    Secondly --
    I'm confused about getter and setter methods -- I'd like someone to explain to me what they are used for exactly and the difference between the two. I have a general idea, that getters get a result from the method and setters set or maybe assign a value to variable. I submitted this code on another site, and one of the responders told me I wasn't using the returned values from the getter methods (he also told me about using a constructor method, but I haven't got that far in the book yet.). The program compiles and runs fine, but I can't seem to figure out how I'm not using the returned values from the getter methods. Please help and if you can explain in 'beginners terms,' with any code examples you think are appropriate. It will be greatly appreciated.
    By the way, I'm not a professional programmer -- I'm learning Java because of the intellectual exercise and the fun of it. So please keep that in mind as well.

But this is something every new programmer goes through, and I will not spoil the fun. You see, in 3 to 6 months when you have learned much more Java, assuming you stick with it, you will look back at this and be like "what the hell was I thinking" and then realize just haw far you have come. So enjoy that moment and don't spoil it now by asking for what could have been better/ more efficient. If it works it works, just be happy it works.

So please keep that in mind as well.First, if you posted this somewhere else you should link to that post, it is good you at least said you did, but doubleposting is considered very rude because what inevitably happens in many cases is the responses are weighed against each other. So you are basically setting anyone up who responds to the post for a trap that could make them look bad when you double post.
    You are setting you getters and setters up right as far as I can tell. Which tells me that I think you grasp that a getter lets another class get the variables data, and a setter lets another class set the data. One thing, be sure to use the full variable name so you should have setRecordLabel() and getRecodLabel() as opposed to setLabel() and getLabel(). Think about what happens if you go back and add a label field to the CDList class, bad things the way you have it currently. Sometimes shortcuts are not your friend.
    And yes, you are using the getters all wrong since you are not saving off what they return, frankly I am suprised it compiles. It works because you don't really need to use the getters where you have them since the CDList Record (should be lowercase R by the way) object already knows the data and uses it in the printout() method. Basically what you are doing in lines like:
    Record[x].getArtistName();is asking for the ArtistName in Record[x] and then getting the name and just dropping it on the floor. You need to store it in something if you want to keep it, like:
    String artistName = Record[x].getArtistName();See how that works?
    Hope this helped, keep up the good learning and good luck.

    I'm an American living on a timed (though long-term) assignment in Ireland. I have both American and Irish bank accounts and addresses. I have two Qs. 1. Can I use the US Adobe site when in Ireland? Or will my physical location prevent me from doing so? 2. I am working for a not-for-profit organization. Is there a special pricing plan for non-profits, similar to the plans for students, small business, etc? Thanks for whatever help you can give me. (P.S. As a potential customer and past user of Adobe products for 15  years, I find it INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING that I cannot speak with any Adobe representative, but am continually re-routed instead to a public forum to get what I hope will be accurate information. Not good, Adobe. Your products are amazing. Your customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I don't mean that with disrespect, but as honest feedback.)

    Hi bookchic
    Thanks for your feedback.
    Non-profit pricing is available to eligible institutions via the VIP program which is sold by resellers - see Eligibility guide
    For details of resellers please check here: Adobe Platinum Partners – Value Incentive Plan
    If you wish to purchase an individual plan via Adobe.com the country of your Adobe ID will determine which site you order from.
    Kind regards

  • How can I use the CFDAQ6004.dll in a embedded c++-application?

    Hi,
    I´m working on a reaserch project and I´m trying to write a embedded c++-aplication which reads from values the Compactflash Card CFDAQ6004 of NI. Can I use the cfdaq6004.dll to read from? If yes, how to?
    I hope anyone has a solution for me
    Best regards, Homi!

    Hi there,
    I know this post is very old but i guess many guys visit it when reading the topic or by googling about CFDAQ6004 driver. Unfortunately CFDAQ6004.dll is very low level driver that support several functions dealing directly with CF6004 card such as ATTset and ATTget... etc. as one can view in any PE explorer for Windows CE. After a month of testing and analysis, i have successfully write a dll based on CFDAQ6004.dll to open, configure, read, write analog/digital data from/to CF6004 card. The new library was given a name CF6004LIB.dll the following is comparison between my dll and daqmxbase driver:
            New Dll                                                                                     DAQmxbase driver
    1. Can be used inside any programming environment                        Can only be used inside Labview
        inc. eVC++ , VC++ .net, VC# .net, VB .net
    2. Support fully dynamic task configuration                                       Only static configration possible (dynamic task can be done with modified VIs)
    3. Remove a lot of overhead by accessing CF6004 directly                Puts a lot of overhead passing through GUI, objects, controls, ...etc.
    4. Support full error detection                                                           Some errors can not be catched
    5. Full sampling rate can be achieved 200 kS/sec                               system dependent (max. 130 kS/sec in hp ipaq 211 PDA)
    6. Support contiuous/limited sampling                                               continuous sampling is possible but at reduced rate`
    7. small in size < 10 kB                                                                    Minimum program size 600 kB
    Also, I have written some modified VIs for CF6004 including reduced (specifically used for CF6004 card ) VIs and dynamic task configrable VIs.
    Bye
