Can we write data to different sheets in the same excel output file ?

Hi,
I am using XML publisher and generating output in the excel sheet format.
Is it possible to write the data to different sheets on the same excel file using XMLP?
Please let me know how to do this.

No, it's not possible with 5.6.2. Excel based templates are supposed to be coming but I don't know when the release date will be.

Yes, it is possible.
One way Is to use dataTemplates. There you can make queries from any number of different databases (The max I have done is 5).
It looks something like that:

</dataTemplate>dataStructure is very important when you get data from different places, if you don't define those elements, then only the result from Q1 is shown.
The second possible way is to make as two different data models, each containing their own query and then set Main Data Set as concatenated SQL Data Source.

Shared how? The other users can read the documents or you all can read and write the documents?
The first is easy just place the documents in /Users/Shared anyone can access the files there and the other users will be able to read them.
The second is a bit trickier.

Mix source data with different granularity into the same fact table?

I have two transaction tables "Incident (157 columns)" and "Unit (70 Colums)". For every "Incident" that happens there could be one or more records in the "Unit" table.
As part of my data mart design, I have merged both the tables into a single Fact "Incident Fact (227 Columns)" and inserted the records from both the tables with a join condition between them [incident.IN_NUM = Unit.IN_NUM].
Is this correct, is my question? or am I mixing source data with different granularity in the same fact table. Appreciate your help.

Are the measures from 'Incident' , repeated for a given incident where it has more than one record in the Unit table ? If so, then the sum(indicent.measure) will give an incorrect result, no ?
What requirement is there to physically merge the tables together outside of OBIEE? With OBIEE you could have one logical 'fact' table to present to report users, which sourced from seperate Incidents and Units tables and would stop the incorrect aggregations occuring. A common modelling piece in the same way would be Order Headers and Order Lines, quite common in OBIEE to have a logical 'Orders' fact which contained both Order header measures and Order line measures, this translates to your Incidents -> Units relationship.
To do what I've mentioned, is relatively straight forward, you need a 'Dim - Incident' with two levels, Incident and Unit, mapp the unique identifiers in as the level keys and then use these levels to set the content levels correctly in your 2 logical tables sources for logical 'Fact' , ie Incidents LTS at incident level, Units LTS as units level.

I am looking for the best way (or any way) to interact between two different frames in the same indesign template as well as from one template to another. It's for a DPS app which needs to carry some button initiated data from one page to another and then present it in a table.

There is no simple way to do it, as itunes wont let you use it on another computer without wiping the contents first.
However if you really want to transfer songs to another computer then you could try this;
* make sure that your ipod is accessible as a disk drive (ipod options)
* when you plug your ipod into the computer you want to transfer to make sure you select "no" or "cancel" when it asks to wipe the contents. Leave the ipod connected and quit from itunes.
* go to "my computer" and access the ipod directly. You probably have to select "view hidden files" from windows. You will see a lot of folders with odd names like ZX838aff with similar named files inside.
* copy these files to a folder on your computers hardrive. Now remove the ipod and start itunes.
* import the files from the folder you made in the last step.
* Now your music is on itunes, but with unrecogisable names.
This is the only way I have found to do it, but there may be another way, say with an application to do the hard work for you.

Data from Different datasources in the same table

Hi everyone,
Here I am under this complex problem.
I have two different Bapi's which are being called multiple times.
These bapi's have 3 common export parameters. I need to display a table with these 3 common export parameters (columns), as columns and two other custom columns.
Data in custom colums needs to be filled based on the the 3 original columns with some logic build over these 3 columns.
All the data returned under these columns is to be accumulated and showed in the frontend in a table.
Any ideas.. how will you handle this in the context of controllers and UI table.
Do I need to create a dictionary element?

Hi Amber,
In your context, create a value node with 3 value attributes for the BAPI output params with the exact same name as the BAPI params. Then you can use the WDCopyService class to copy the corresponding fields.
For the two custom columns, create 2 calculated attributes in the same value node. The WD framework will generate setters and getters for these attributes. In the setter method write the logic for calculation of these attributes.

I'm trying to log into two facebook accounts at the same time in differant windows. When ever I log into the second account in the second window it changes the login in the first window. When I hit home or any other link the first window account has been logged out and logged into the second window account. I tried installing a second copy of firefox in a differant folder that the first but it seems to use all the files of the first installation. If I can get 2 toatally seperated instalations that don't rely on the same history, cookies, cache, etc I belive that will solve my problem. Please help.

Nah, that won't work. Facebook has a feature that gets your IP Address, so as soon as you sign into one on the same computer, it changes the other login for safety purposes (say, someone was on a public library PC. They forgot to log out. Someone else logs in, and it automatically logs them out). You'll need 2 computers to do that.

How can i share tones between different iPhones on the same account

I have two iPhones registered on the same iTunes account - one for work and one personal. I have bought a couple of ringtones through iTunes but find that I cannot see them in the iTunes library so cannot load a ringtone from one of my iPhones to the other. Any suggestion on how I can do this ?

You will have to transfer the ringtones from the phone that has them to your iTunes library.
File>Transfer Purchases.
Then you can sync them to the other phone.

How can I create & print a whole sheet of the same label?

Thank you for your input. I am trying to stay attentive to the things that Mac can do to better, or more so, than the PC. It hard to stay focused on that when the basics (things that I do regularly) seem to be just not even offered...like today, I wanted to get a "receipt" with an email I sent out from Mail and Address Book. However, as you probably know, it isn't a supported function. Again I noticed in the discussions that many folks are disappointed and questioning why something that has been around for so long in other mail software is not a part of Mac's. As far as using Word, I see your point, but I did pay for iWorks because the Apple Store guy told me I can do all the same things and even more than Word. I would have just paid for Word had I known, but now I'm not paying for both. I found avery.com and will use their free online label maker for now till I figure out another way to do it without having to incur another fee. So far, iWorks and Mail and Address not been impressive to me. Hopefully I will keep uncovering aspects of them that make them shine and impress me, and make life easier when on the computer. Thanks. How can I record several channels of data at different rates with the same card?

I am building an application in which I need to record several channels of DC voltage data to disk at different rates, for example, Channel 1 at 40 Hz, Channels 3-5 at 10 Hz, Channels 6-8 at 1 Hz, etc.
All these channels are time-referenced, so I need to make sure data for channels recorded at slower rates line up with their correct time stamp.
Currently, I am building all data into a 2D array one row per loop iteration.

At this time, the NI DAQ boards have only one scan clock, so, you can only define one valid scan rate for all of your channels.
The better approach for you is to sample all channels at the highest rate you will need, and then discard the samples you don't need to save.

- I wanted a screen with 3 datagrids components retrieving data from 3 different tables.
- I could make it work while enabling 1 or 2 of them. When the 3 are enabled, I get this error:

Can I connect to 2 different networks at the same time?

Can I connect a Mac Pro to 2 different subnets with either the dual ethernet port or an additional NIC?
I'm trying to create a firewall between 2 networks but still be able to copy large files quickly from one network to the other.

yes that is one of the reasons for dual ethernets. If you use DHCP the ports will get necessary data at boot up.
