You can also try one more workaround for this by using PSE Organizer. The steps are as follows:
1. Create a facebook cover. In case you don't know how to creatw a facebook cover, please go through Photoshop Elements Help | Create a Facebook profile and cover picture
2. Save the cover with "Include in Elements Organizer" option checked.
3. Now, go to Elements Organizer and export that file.
- Select the cover photo.
- Go to File > Export as New File
- Choose format and location.
- Click OK.
4. Now, you can use this file to upload.

If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode.

How can I upload / apply it to Pages I manage within Facebook? It seems to only allow uploading to my personal page with no option to "share" it over to other pages I administer.If you CREATE an iWork document on the iPad or iPhone (with the documents sync enabled on that device) it will immedatly appear on iCloud and all other iPads and iPhones sharing that iCloud account. To get the document into your MacBook, you have to log into iCloud, click on the document, and select "download". You can then open it on the MacBook and edit it.
If you want to put it back to iCloud, you have to save it, then physically drag and drop the file to the iCloud window in Safari. This will upload it, but nothing can be done with it at iCloud.com yet. It is now simply avaialble to be opened on your iPhone or iPad. Once you open it on one of those devices, and then close/save it, it will be available on iCloud.com for viewing or editing. -

Why can I no longer set the default page to something else? Every time I open Mozilla Firefox, it always reverts back to the Mozilla page. No matter how many times I do this, it always reverts.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Elements 7 reverts back to 'full' edit page, from 'quick' edit page
Hello, first post here. When I have 7 on the 'quick' edit page, and open a photo on my windows page using 'open with', it now reverts back the 'full' edit page. Very frustrating. My Elements 4 doesn't do that. my Elements 7 didn't used to do it. I recently did the Camera Raw 5-6 update, and that's when it started.
How do I go back the making edit page stay where I want it to?

You have the Elements 7 Editor open. It's in the Quick Edit mode.
You have a picture in Windows Explorer, and you are right-clicking on it, selecting Open With, and then picking the Photoshop Elements Editor to open it with.
When the image opens in Elements Editor, it switches to Full Edit mode.
Is that correct?
If so, I cannot reproduce the problem. I tried with Camera Raw version 4.5, and with 5.6, and didn't have any issues. I was trying with JPEG and raw file formats, and there was no change.
Try manually resetting the preferences, and see if perhaps that helps. To do so, rename or move one of the following folders:
Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<YOUR USER NAME>\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0
Vista:
C:\Users\<YOUR USER NAME>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\7.0
Then open the Editor, which will re-create the preferences files, and see if that helps.
If that doesn't help, please provide additional information about your computer's configuration as well as a detailed list of the exact steps you are taking when this problem occurs. -

Recently read on a deal site forum page that you can only use Apple lightning cables to charge iPad Air or iPad Mini Retina running iOS 7 or higher. Is that the case or will any 8-pin to USB cable work? Thx in advance for any helpful replies.
Due to a lot of bad press that Apple was getting due to burnt chargers, shocked users (the electrical kind...), etc., due to the lousy third party El Cheapo brand generics, as of iOS 7 the cable must be Apple-certified before the iGadget deigns to use it for charging purposes. Unfortunately (for Apple) the old traditional USB to 30-pin cable is just that, a straight piece of wire, and can't be validated by the iGadget. But lo & behold, the new gear uses the new Lightning cable, which contains an embedded chip that CAN be validated and lousy imitations disabled from use.

How do I share to a Facebook page (that I manage)?

Is there a way to SHARE / export directly to a Facebook page that I manage?
I'm currently having to export a master file (which isn't optimised for Facebook/web), and then upload it to one of the many FB Pages I manage. Would be great if FCPX would allow us to add multiple Share/Export Destinations that include the Pages we manage.
If this feature is already in place, please help me out, because I can't find it!

It sounds like what you want is in the File > Share menu, or the Share pop-up menu.
Final Cut Pro X: Sharing projects overview
Final Cut Pro provides a variety of destinations, or preconfigured export settings, that you can use to output your project or clip. For example, you can export a project or clip as a QuickTime movie, export it for viewing on Apple devices such as iPhone and iPad, publish it to websites such as Facebook and YouTube, or burn it to a disc. You can also save a frame from your movie or export an image sequence. Each of these options uses a different destination.
When you first open Final Cut Pro, a default set of destinations appears in the Share submenu of the File menu and in the Share pop-up menu.
It goes on to say the destinations are customizable.
You can easily add destinations or replace the default set of destinations with your own customized destinations. For example, if you want to save a frame from your movie as a Photoshop file, you need to add the Save Current Frame destination to your set and specify that the destination export a Photoshop file. You create and modify destinations in the Destinations pane of Final Cut Pro preferences.
You can also create a bundle of destinations to export several types of output at once. For more information, see Create and modify share destinations.
The default destination is Master File. You can quickly share to that destination by pressing Command-E. To change which destination is the default (and will be activated by that keyboard shortcut), see Create and modify share destinations.
To further customize your output, you can use Compressor, the professional transcoding application. For more information, see Export your project using Compressor.

I programmed a set of quizzes in Director 8.0 for one of my courses about ten years ago and have been updating them since. And, yes, I did purchased 11.5, but can't use it because I can't use printing w POM or a number of other extras anymore. My semester is about to start and Adobe has updated the Shockwave player in Windows over the summer (I think?) causing my quizzes to not work in a web browser. I am getting this message and can't figure out what is causing it:

I have been working on this for a day and a half and am stumped. I made two apps in 11.5 for WIndows .exe and Mac .app that partially work, but can't get the quizzes to work in Firefox 13 or IE 9. I searched the web and could not find anything useful. I found a message in this forum from back in 2009 where someone had a similar problem and Sean WIlson said to add a parameter that specifed Player version =11, but that was back in 2009. I tried that PARAM and still get the error. I tried updating the quiz menu .dcr on the web to 11.5, but that didn't work. With all of the updates lately to browsers, the Shockwave plug-in, and Director 11.5, I don't know what is generating the error. I am assuming its Shockwave player doesn't like something, but have no idea what this movie reference to an incorrect version of Shockwave player is referring to. We're up to player 11.6 now. Do we have to include this in the embed statement or is there something else that is causing this error? Please help, thanks!
Edit: Oddly, the quizzes are still working on a MacBook Pro using Firefox 13.0.1. I don't know what the Shockwave Player version is. On the Windows 7 side of this MacBook running bootcamp, it was running Shockwave Player 11.6.4. I thought maybe I should uninstall it and install the latest 11.6.6, which I did. The latest version of Shockwave made no difference on Windows 7. I also tried to run the quizzes on an HP laptop running Windows Vista, Firefox 14.0.1 and Shockwave Player 11.6 installed back Jan 2012 accoridng to the Control Panel. Same error message. Tried it using IE 8, which just seemed to do a Shockwave update - no problem the quizzes run.Send me a Private Message and I'll provide an email address where you could send your DCR and HTML and I'll see if I can help.

I have bought a dvd of photoshop elements 12. I have installed it both as the licensed version and again as a trial version. I can open organiser but when I try to open editor it asks me to sign in. Ive tried it with my ID and also tried creating a new ID with another email address. However i cant get past this screen - it just freezes and wont load or do anything.

When I try to set up Time Machine, there are no back up disks displayed. Therefore, I cannot turn on Time Machine. How can I fix this?
Thanks - let it finish, but zero out data is unnecessary. That option is intended to thoroughly erase previously recorded data so that it cannot be recovered without sophisticated data recovery techniques.
Case sensitive is OK but I suggest you simply select Mac OS X Extended since "case sensitive" may complicate things for you in the future, should it be necessary to restore files to a case-ignorant volume.
Once it finishes, make sure it appears as a selectable option in Time Machine. If it does your problems are solved, but consider using Disk Utility and reformatting it. This time don't worry about zeroing unused space, and select Mac OS X Extended (Journaled). It will only take a few seconds this time.

The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.
