Cannot create JVM message box in WLS 92 admin console

Hi,
I want to open a new windows process from weblogic admin console. I wanted to know if there is a way to launch a jvm from console.
If I use Runtime.getRuntime().exec(cmd), cmd is a javaw command, in my console extension, I get "cannot create JVM" dialog box.
Is this possible?

How to create an enterprise role in WLS admin console ?

HI All,
we have an ADF application developed using jdev 11.1.2.1.
we have some web pages that are assigned to the application
role: users.
the app role is mapped to the enterprise role: agt_users.
after deploying to a WLS standalone server, we were able to
login, but a http 403 error was returned.
i have tried creating a role in myrealm->global_roles->agt_users,
and have added the group/user to role.
we're still getting 403 errors.
how can we create an enterprise role, so that the pages can
be returned ?

Hi
I believe that you should look at the Forms functionality for UCM . Under Content Management - Web Form Editor will show up the editor where in you can add buttons and attach functionalities to it . With UCM 11g this is not available thus you might need to use AJAX to build the requirement .

Cannot Create JVM Error

I am using Ready To Program to compile my apps and need to have a jvm.dll file to run Java 2. i downloaded SDK 1.4.1 but the only JVM's are in Client and Server. these just dont work, I just get the error "Cannot create JVM"
PLEASE if anyone knows a way to make this work or a download I can get. Let me know!!!!! I really need it soon!

You could try uninstalling. Then download 1.2 and install that.
You would need to modify your path to include the dll.

How to create a message box when click on Panel

I would like to create a message box to show my data when I

Sometimes the drivers do not give all the true functionality of the instrument. I am assuming this pop up is possible, so if the driver doesn't offer the functionality you might have to go to the instruments full instruction set and find the right commands and make a driver for that command.
For example, the driver for the small display might be 'upgradable' to give the pop up you are looking for.
I saw some other posts ( as far back as 2007) on this instrument, so maybe there is already somthing like this on the board.

Why do I get "Cannot create file" message in my download manager when I attempt to install Firefox?

I'm running Mac OS 10.4.11 on a 1.6 GHz PowerPC G5 Mac. I uninstalled Firefox 3.6 from my according to directions on the Mozilla website. And I deleted my Firefox profile folder contained in the Home> Library> Application Support folder. Every time I attempt a clean install of Firefox 3.6.13.dmg, I get the following message: "Cannot create file."

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

JNI : cannot create JVM

Hello everybody, sorry to bother all of you.
I got problem with the JNI.
I'm creating a Windows service that invoking a Java-based server via JNI.
I'm copying the source from the JNI tutorial (from sun), and the problem is:
res = JNI_CreateJavaVM(&jvm, (void **)&env, &vm_args);
res will result < 0, means it failed/cannot create Java VM.
I read on JNI tutorial that said the problem is because it cannot locate the JVM, or in other words, it cannot found the java library.
I'm using JDK 1.4.1_01 now, and Microsoft Visual C++.
I'm installing the JDK under "C:\Java\J2SE"
and I'm compile the c program inside "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VC98\Bin", and I'm also copied the JVM.DLL into this directory, since it's needed when i'm running the exe file.
I already set the vm_args.version into JNI_VERSION_1_4 (0x00010004)
Does anybody know the workaround about this problem?
what directory should I put into vm_args.classpath? is it ".;C:\Java\J2SE\lib" ?

Here's some stuff I can tell you.
1. dont copy the JVM.dll anywhere. Use the registry to find out where it is installed and then load it dynamically.
2. look at the laucnher directory in the src.zip file in the j2sdk. there are some examples in there you should find handy.

Cannot view full message box in right corner

I recently upgraded my operating system to OS Mountain Lion (version 10.8.2). Since then, I cannot view the full message boxes in the top right hand corner of my screen....half the message is cut off and I cannot seem to move the box over. Can someone assist? The message box is part of my garmin map updater software that alerts me to update my maps.

At least some portion of every window is supposed to be drawn ON the screen.
If that message is too far toward the edge, you could try reducing the screen resolution to something very narrow, like 640 by 480 if supported. The hope is that this will place the message box off-screen, so that the System would have to move it back toward the home position to keep it on-screen. When you switch back (presuming the box is still there) it will be firmly on-screen and can be moved into a position you like better.

(memory cannot be 'read' ) message box !

I as able to create an interactive form and deploy it on the WAS. In my application i have 2 views and the Adobe Form is on the next view after the seletion of required options is done. Now, wht happens is, when i click on 'BACK' button (dynpro button on a group), the IE gives me an error saying, memory could not be 'read'. and when i click on OK for this message box, my IE closes!!
Please let me know what and where exactly am i wrong.

Possible to create a Message Box in response to end-user selecting "cancel" or "block" after clicking a link to a URL?

Hi all:
When an end-user clicks a link/button to connect to a URL, the security dialog automatically appears giving them the options of "Allow," "Block" or "Cancel". Should they select "Block" or "Cancel," can we trigger a message box informing them they blocked or cancelled the connection?
With traditional message boxes, we're causing them, ie

if (rtnFromBox == 4){
xfa.host.messageBox("Okay, we'll keep going.","",1,0);
But with the URL security dialog, we're not calling it from a variable - it just happens.
I guess a similar question could be applied to a "Save" button. Where if the end-user selects "cancel" on the "Save As" dialog, a warning could pop-up reminding them to save soon.

Error -108, Cannot close the message box

If this error message appear, I couldn't close it.
If I click "OK", message box disappears and appears again.
Not only previewing, The error which include "-108".
(saving, opening and ETC....)
How do I close this error message box?

Which version of Illustrator are you using?
Also, are you working with very complex documents?

Grouping config params of Authentication Provider on WLS admin console

Hi,
I am working on an Authentication provider which talks to a Identity provider to authenticate users. The MJF file contains the configuration parameters such as the Identity Provider host, port and other information.
The Authentication provider is configurable through WebLogic Admin console. I want to re-order the display of the Provider specific configuration parameters. Currently the configuration parameters are displayed randomly.
Please let me know if somebody have any pointers.

Unfortunately this is NOT possible. If you configured AD using out of box AD Providers, you get READ ONLY access to that AD means you can only Read data. BUT you cannot update the data in AD like password or any other property of the user who exists in AD. All the out of box providers you see for configuring external security providers implement only Read Only APIs and Read only MBeans etc.
The only solution is, to create your own Custom Authentication Provider that access your external AD using standard JAVA APIs and do operations like read or update. Java APIs can do pretty much all the things. Then configure this custom authentication provider in the console. NOW, this logic is really complex and you may find some examples if you google around. So if you really need this requirement there is no other alternative.

Testing EJB using WLS admin console

Hi,
After having deployed the EJB, we looked at the JNDI tree it looks fine. But when
we try to test the EJB using Testing tab of the weblogic admin console we get
the following message
"The EJB IOESTARIDAdmin has not been tested succesfully. "
When this EJB was deployed we got confirmation from WLS that the EJB got deployed
successfully. Can anyone tell us what is the problem?

Problem: Applets cannot Create SOAP Message Objects using JAX Pack

I want to invoke a simple webservice located at a url.
I wish to send a SOAP Message . The Message is creating using
javax.xml.soap package

When I run the applet in a browser I am getting ExceptionInInitializerError or NullPointer Exception.
The same application works when i run as a standalone application. But not in APPLET.

Im trying to do the same thing !!, i have a servlet that processes SOAP messages, and return SOAP messages back.
Like you i have a implementation running with a stand alone client instead of an applet, which runs fine (there are several .jar files that have to be included in the jre/lib/ext directory, in total about a meg!).
Im now looking to incorporate this client into an applet, but it moans about cannot find classes (the JAXM and SOAP classes).
Have you found a solution to this yet ?? Surely you cannot expect the user to download all the required jar files along with the applet??
With regards to your problem try setting up a button that fires off the SOAP Msg and processes the response, i read on the Sun Java Applet tutorials that some code should stay out of the init method(its a bit vague about WHAT should stay out..), maybe this is an example.

How do I create a message box for a listbox, with a 'move item up' and a 'move item down' button?

In my listbox I want to create an error message for when I click the 'move item up' button and the item is already at the top of the list, but I am not sure how to do it.

How do I create a message box?

I want to know when a particular sub-VI is running when called from another VI. Ideally, I would like a windows-like box to come up, much like a dialog box, that indicates that the sub-VI is running. When execution has completed, I would like to box to disappear, not requiring any additonal user intervention. In Matlab, this is called a waitbar.

Yes, waitbars are very useful when programs are busy and the user is waiting.
As pointed out by the previous answers, the key is to make use of a dialog. In addition to what have been said by the others, I can provide you with a simple implementation of a Waitbar.
In order for using a bar like this is that you have an idea of how much 100% is (time or iterations). In this simple example I just make use of a counter (in a for-loop) and a 25 ms delay to simulate some sort of activity that takes time. You can use a while-loop if that fits your application better. All you need is a number that goes from 0 to 100 during your process.
I used a horizontal graduated bar to make it look similar to the standard waitbars.
In LabVIEW 6i you can declare any VI as a dialog
by right clicking in the upper right corner of the front panel and select VI settings.
I attach my example, MainWB.vi, that is the main VI and WaitBar.vi that is the subVI declared as a dialog and the actual VI that does the work that takes time.
