Cannot create Proxy service with JCA transport

Hello everyone.
I have some issues while trying to create ftp service with jca transport. I follow the instruction in this tutorial:

I stuck in Step 4, cannot create proxy service to use JCA file that I created by JDeveloper 11g (11.1.1.5). When I specify jca file for proxy service, a error message returned:

Invalid JCA file for JCA proxy service. If you are creating a Proxy from a Business Service, please select a different transport type (for example, http). If not, JCA file must contain JCA activation spec properties.And these are my jca file content that created by JDeveloper:

To get to the basics.
You use GET to read files from an FTP location - This can be done by an OSB proxy service only.
You use PUT to write files to an FTP location - This can be done by an OSB business service only.
So forget that you need a proxy service for PUT.

Error creating business service with EJB transport on Unix

I have ALSB 3.0 installed on a Unix system and I am unable to create a business service based on the EJB transport. After I associate the client jar to the business service, ALSB recognizes the home and remote interfaces in the jar file but as soon as I click the Next button I see the following error:
An expected exception occurred during the creation or update of this service: null
If I install ALSB 3.0 on Windows then I am able to create the identical EJB based business service that fails on Unix.
Has anyone been able to create an EJB based business service on Unix or is this a known issue with ALSB 3.0?

i have a demo webservice. it has many operations on proxy service's message flow. How can i create proxy service from demo's wsdl on different domain

You can either export the WSDL in a sbconfig.jar and then import this sbconfig.jar in the new domain. Then you can create a new Proxy in new domain based on the WSDL you imported.
Alternatively, you can open the WSDL in the old domain, copy the text content of WSDL, then open new domain sbconsole and create a new WSDL type resource and paste the content you copied from old domain WSDL here. Then you can create a new Proxy Service based on this WSDL resource you created.
Although, may I ask why do you need to create this new Proxy Service on a different domain? If you want to create a service similar to existing Proxy Service on different domain, then you can export the existing proxy service along with any dependencies to a sbconfig.jar and them import them in any other domain.
If you want your new Proxy Service to invoke the existing Proxy on different domain, then you need to create a Business Service in the new domain (calling domain) which can invoke your existing Proxy service in other domain.

I beleive you are confused because of the apparent inclusion of transport information in WSDL (that is the host:port/endpoint where the service is hosted). However, if you refer to the w3c specification of WSDL1.0 ([url http://www.w3.org/TR/wsdl]www.w3.org/TR/wsdl), you will find that WSDL has three separate sections:
1. The schema information that describes data element(s): specified in types
2. The message information ie message and port sections that specify the parameters and the operations
3. The service section that specify the actual protocol and endpoint binding.
Ideally, a WSDL can be broken down into these three separate components. Any WSDL containing the first two is called an abstract WSDL and is used for a top-down approcah for web services, and if the third part is used, then you get a concrete WSDL, containing invocation end-point also.
Comming back to your question one can typically use an Abstract WSDL for creating proxy service. This way, the service requester and integration can go on two separate threads where the common denominator or agreement between these two parties in terms of operation name and data element are imposed using the WSDL.

PowerPivot - SP2013 - Cannot create the service instance because the parent Service does not exist

Unable to setup PowerPivot using PowerPivot configuration tool.
I have One server which has SQL 2012 SP1 and SP2013.
The farm is configured with all service applications.
SQL has default instance with DB Engine and SSAS Tabular. Reporting Services has been configured using SharePoint mode and has a service application.
The Power Pivot instance is set up with DB Engine and the SSAS.
I keep getting this error. Ive tried so many times uninstalling, making sure features removed, rebuilding the farm (thank god for autospinstaller..)

Did you install the PowerPivot add-in for SharePoint? There are 2 parts to this - the SQL Server Power Pivot for SharePoint which is the Analysis Services instance running in Tabular Mode and the PowerPivot Add-in. The last line in your error message seems
to tell you that you have a missing component in the farm, possibly the PowerPivot Add-in

Osb proxy service with owsm policy auth slow when soap request very large

I have a proxy service which is security with owsm policy: oracle/wss_username_token_service_policy, the proxy service simply route to Business Service which directly invoke a bpel exposed web service, when I call the proxy service with soap envelope large than 15MB(not attachment), waiting about 4~5 minutes, the bpel instance created ; but when I remove the security policy:oracle/wss_username_token_service_policy, it will cost only 20 seconds, why authentication cost so long? How can I deal with the problem?
My English is poor, please don't mind!
besides, with my OSB version is 11.1.1.6.0

I finally figured it out. The nullpointer exception is related to the SAML assertion. The SAML assertion in my requests is signed with embedded signature and this seems to be not supported with the used OWSM policy. Without the signature is the exception gone.

No concept of versioning in osb.. If you want to maintain different versions , you will have to create separate projects for separate versions.

ORA-02348: cannot create VARRAY column with embedded LOB

This error message I get when I try to create a table from my schema file which has a (sub-) element of type CLOB.
In my XML document I have an element which needs to become declared a CLOB (because it's > 4000 bytes), in my Schema I define it's element node like:

I can register this Schema file but when I create the table, I get the error:
ORA-02348: cannot create VARRAY column with embedded LOB
Does anybody know how to handle this ?

You need to use the xdb:storeVarrayAsTable="true" schema annotation so that unbounded elements are created at schema registration time as nested tables. Varrays can not contain CLOBs/BLOBS. Use the schema annotation xdb:SQLType="CLOB" to tell Oracle XMLDB to use CLOB storage for the element. See your schema below:

OSB 11g - list Proxy services with enabled tracing

Hello.
I went through OSB API and haven't found out a way, how to by script (Java or WLST):
- list Proxy service with enabled 'Execution Tracing'
- enabled and disable 'Execution Tracing'
Is there a way, how to do this by script somehow? I know, how to do it in SB console (e.g. on Smart Search page), but that's not what I want.

Service Type is lack when I create proxy service in workshop 10gr3??

When I create proxy service in workshop(10gr3), at the General Configuration page, the "Service Type" is lack of "Create From Existing Service", the function is deleted?

I posted the same request to the SOA forum.
But here is the solution:
Right click on the business service select OSB / Generate Proxy Service.
To all the nice people form Oracle, please document it.

Create Web Service with Function Group

Hi experts,
I have 2 question for web service
1- i want to create web service with function group. My function group is have 2 function modules. I selected function group for web service end point type. And next action i want to select my function group but this is impossible. Because this field is inaktive for value entry. (Img1) How can i make to active this field?
2- I'm created one bussinness object in SWO1. And assigned ZBAPI... this object. (API METHOD ->ADD METHOD menu). I'm changed oject type's statu for released and created this object. Everything is ok so i can test this object and run ZBAPI method. But i can not see this object type in BAPI transaction. Why i can not see in BAPI transaction my object type ?

I am encountered with the below message during BP creation "You cannot create a customer with grouping ZLES"
ZLES being the account group..
I ve come across the following..
I made config for BP to Customer ( auto creation)
and also BP to Vendor ( auto creation)
at a time only one of the thing is working either BP to customer or BP to vendor..
when i check the config under Number Range>Define Groupings and Assign Number ranges> in this there is a radio button Int.Std.Grping if this is marked for the grouping of Mast tenant with Cust acc then there is no error for this but error persists while creating BP to Vendor.. and if the radio button is ticked for Landlord with vendor Account then the issue comes for BP to Customer i.e the error "You cannot create a customer with grouping ZLES"
how can i tick both of them together ( if there is possiblity)

in Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges dont select the raido button for your grouping . and next thing is while creating business partner. follow these steps...
1 bp
2 click on person, group or org as desired
3 select the role and click create. AND
4 at right hand side corner there is Grouping select the Grouping ( i was missing this step due to which i used to get the error)
hope this will solve ... also check the account groups of both BP and Customer or else there will be synchronisation error..

Call proxy service from other proxy service with attachment

I have got an email sending proxy service I would like to call this from an other proxy service and I want to send attachment in email. I can send email with attachment if i call this proxy as a webservice (e.g. from soapUI)
But if i want to call this email proxy service from other proxy service, the attachment in email is empty. I put a log action (expression: $attachments) in the beginning of email proxy service, and I saw this in the log file:

Why cannot I call this email proxy service from other proxy service for sending email with attachment?
I tried to solve this other. I called an email sending business service from this proxy service. But in this case I cannot set the body of email. If I put just one Transport Header action in publish action, I could send the email (with empty body). But If I put a replace action in publish action as well then the OSB didn't send the email and I couldn't find any error message in log file... How could I set the body of email in publish action?

You should be able to get the current user id from the SPListItemEventProperties object. From here you should be able to create a Claim. For example get the user by using

How to create a service with deep insert input but output a single entity?

     I have created a service which has 2 entities.
     DeliveryHeader
     DeliveryItems
     StatusOutput
     Association has been defined for DeliveryHeader and DeliveryItems.
    My input request message is:
       "DN_No" : "123",
       "ShipTo" : "CNZ",
        "DeliveryItems" : [{
        "DN_No": "123",
        "Item_No": "1",
        "Quantity": "10'
I want my output to be different entity structure that is of StatusOutput.
    "StatusOutput" : {

         "Text" : "Successfully created DN"
But I am getting output same as input.
What I have to do to get the desired output? Please help!
In my create_deep_entity I have coded like this:
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_output.
           TYPES: StatusOutput TYPE ycl_prj_create_dn_mpc_ext=>TS_STATUSOUTPUT,
          END OF t_output.

Have you created association to the StatusOutput entity as well ?
You would have already Created association with some cardinality ( 1 to N ) between DeliveryHeader & DeliveryItems entities right !?
Now create association between DeliveryHeader & StatusOutput ( say 1 to N OR 1 to 1 .. based on your requirement ). But here if as per my understanding since u need only success message and corresponding success message type, u need to create association with 1 to 1 cardinlity between
DeliveryHeader & StatusOutput entities.
Now after successful creation send back the message and its code in the deep structure ( structure which can hold DeliveryHeader , DeliveryItems , StatusOutput details ) which you would be already defined to hold all the DeliveryHeader and DeliveryItems details and StatusOutput details.
This way you can return your message and code as separate entity in the response ( But remember you will be having data in other entities of your DeliveryItems & DeliveryHeader )
This is what you are expecting if i understand your problem well.
If at all you want only that specific entity in the response alone,
As per my knowledge u cant restrict your response like how you are expecting ( only single entity alone with success message ) . Since we are sending back the same input deep structure as part of response you cannot restrict that way.
At the most you can empty your response forcefully excluding your data structure/table having the success message. However this will not make any sense.
