Cannot open applications in Workspace after pc interrupt.

Question

Please can someone help.
My test vpc went down while I had an application open. When I try and go back in now into any application in EPM I get the following error:
"There was some communication error. Response is : http://dimensio-igsf4m.af.didata.local:19000/hfm/GlobalWorkspaceNav/bpm/modules/com/hyperion/hfm/web/appcontainer/Adf.asp "
I have tried reconfiguring Workspace, EPM and HFM; to no avail. I even restarted the server physically. Please can someone help. There is no solution for this in the install and conf guide.

I deregistered from shared services and then reconfigured/reregistered but I also had to restart the server a number of times. There doesn't seem to be a fixed pattern as to what really works. This happened to me a few times and I had to resort at one point to reinstalling HFM which is not the ideal situation; however being in a test environment I was able to do that.
