Cannot reply to posts

Since the move to Jive 7, I have been unable to post a reply to anything when I am on my laptop or using the desktop version of the forum.  I CAN reply to posts when using the mobile version on my phone.  But I much prefer to read and respond to posts when I am sitting at my desk, using the laptop.  I have heard from others that they can post a new discussion, so I am posting this here, and hoping  there is a solution, or some setting I may have that is preventing me from posting.
Windows Vista, Chrome up to date, or IE9 makes no difference.

The basic problem is I can use my screen name and I can log in to the community forum, however it does not accept my cell number as a login. With my password.
I can login through my verizon web site and select support-recent activity and it again asks for me to login.
No problem before the so called improvements to the forum just after they messed it up. I see I am not the only one with this issue.
Also posts are down I suspect due to folks that could reply before cannot do so now.
However I can log on as just a community member with different screen name and password and I can post, do status updates and reply with no problem what so ever.
So it is an issue with customers not being able to reply. And I am not changing my posting handle after all these years because the programmers at Verizon Wireless don't know how to fix what they mess up.

    However SuzyQ I have never used my cell phone number to login. I can login after I login to my verizon select support and then recent activity. And presto i am here.
    account I can go to https://community.verizonwireless.com and login with the username and password and I am in, presto.
    However if I were to use my cell number it does not accept that. Strange indeed.
    I can log on as a community member only under a different user name and password and I can post, and reply with no issues. This is why I am and was thinking it has to do with customers who log in under the wireless account versus just community user names.

    However I just logged in with my cell number and password and on the iPhone it let me right in.

  • As of 5:25 pm PST, I still cannot Reply to Posts

    I will continue to check on it, as Topher mentioned he was able to Reply again.
    Being that Apple posted that it will be doing maintenance at 6pm PST, I don't have much hopes.  The server I use at the Apple Discussions must still be in "maintenance."

    Guess it just took a few more minutes, because at 5:30 pm PST it started working again.  I changed nothing on my machine.

    I can Post new Discussions.  Although, I do not have the Enhanced part of the Posting page available. -- I do not have any the Text formatting bar or the quote tool or Smilies or anything like that.

    It is NOT our machines or our browser set up.  It just started happening, was able to Reply before, and have not changed my setup.
    Topher and I both appear to be in California - maybe that's a clue.  Apple posted that they will be doing maintenance on the main page::

  • Cannot reply to forum post without being registered; but can't register without creating a new thread

    I wished to reply to a forum post with new information that will be of relevance to anyone searching for a solution to a particular problem. I did not have a support account with Mozilla. I found that the site would not allow a reply from an unregistered person. Fair enough, but it gives you no way to create an account then reply to the post. The only way you can create an account is by creating a new thread - which is what I am doing now! Crazy or what? It then took about 10 minutes thrashing about on the site to find out how to create an account. Frustrating or what? Thank goodness Firefox itself is built to much higher standards.

    Suggested fix for an admin to apply:
    Replace the text that appears at the bottom of a thread while signed out - "You must log in to your account to reply to posts. Please start a new question, if you do not have an account yet."
    ...with one that reads "You must log in to your account to reply to posts. Please [https://support.mozilla.org/get-involved sign up to contribute], or start a new question, if you do not have an account yet."
    This little seeming catch-22 gave me a chuckle, but I'm glad this thread was already here so that I didn't have to waste space. Someone needs to fix this soon though, lest it put more people off contributing.

    I think that I have all settings correct. I am using for the Security tab, and Internet, the Default setting. I double checked, and when I press the Custom level... button, under Scripting, Active Scripting is Enabled. Also, other sites that require
    Javascript, are working normally. Like GMail for example, or another Windows site, that has the same:

    I agree with ThrashZone, delete the temp files as well as some browser history, cookies, form data, Internet Options\General\Delete...
    Reset IE if possible if the above doesn't work.
    Sometimes, too much traffic on your internet connection can also cause this kind issue when loading the website
    You can also post in the forum for further analyzing

    This is actually "specific" to this Photoshop Forum.
    I typically get responses back from other Adobe forum promptly.
    Chime in.

    The Adobe engineering folks DO duck in here from time to time - and that's a BLESSING!  Please name any other big company where you get to interact with the engineers AT ALL.  I can't.  But I suspect the engineers actually have a lot oof real work to do, and their time here is necessarily limited.
    Your comments are more along the line of "I pay a huge amount, for that I expect better support".  These are very valid comments.  But reality is different from what we may expect, and this forum is not the place to expect Adobe support participation AT ALL.  In fact, the technical support people at Adobe often direct users to come here (something I've always found amusing).
    At the higher level, Adobe may simply not be spending enough on support for literally millions of users.  Is is greed or smart business to try to minimize support cost?  That's up for individuals to decide.
    I suggest you write a snail-mail letter to the Adobe president if you're not getting the support you need.

    I have not checked the check box for automatic posting
    error mesage that I am getting
    No direct postings can be made to G/L acct. 165000 in CoCode BP01
    Message no. ME038
    Diagnosis
    The G/L account you entered is a control account. Transactions cannot be posted direct to a control account.
    Procedure
    Check your input.
    Inform the individual or section responsible for G/L accounts in the relevant company code.

    Goto Transaction code FS00, enter the G/L account 160000.
    enter the company code BP01.
    Click on display, if the system says account does not exist, click on create with refernce or template
    In the popu enter the G/L account 160000 & compnay code 0001.
    Please ensure this account is flagged as Balance sheet account, Recon. account for acct type - K Vendors.
    now do the postings.

  • The version of GroupWise you are using cannot access this post office

    I built a new Server and added it to my PCSD Tree. The new server name is
    GroupWise and has an IP Address of 10.10.0.13.
    I followed the GroupWise 7 Installation Guide and installed GroupWise to
    this server. At no point did I find any place to enter the GroupWise
    License.
    During the install I discovered that 4 of my long time employees were not
    able to be assigned to this new GroupWise server. It appears that a one
    time (Long time ago) these 4 employees were part of an old GroupWise Mail
    server that must have been removed. I can not find any reference to this
    old GroupWise server. My thought is to delete the accounts for there 4
    users and recreate the accounts.
    However the larger problem is this: I can not login to the GroupWise
    Server. Below are two screen shots of what I’m getting when I
    launch the GroupWise 7 Client. When I look at the .NLM loaded on the
    Server for GroupWise MTA 7.0 it shows Domain Total=1 Closed=0, Post
    Offices Total=1 Closed=1, Gateways Total=0 Closed=0.
    On the Client, when I launch GroupWise, The Novell GroupWise Startup has a
    message in the message window “The version of GroupWise you are
    using cannot access this post office”. Then after clicking OK three
    times, the following message appears on the screen “GroupWise did
    not initialize successfully, Please run GroupWise Setup, or contact your
    system administrator. Unspecified error OLE Error 80004005

    *During the install I discovered that 4 of my long time employees were not

    **You need to disassociate these four NDS users from any GW attributes.
    Right-click each user in C1, GroupWise Utilities->GW / eDirectory
    Association->Disassociate GroupWise Attributes.
    *** When I do as instructed I get the following error:
    [username] is missing the following attribute: NGW: Post Office

    *GroupWise MTA 7.0 it shows Domain Total=1 Closed=0, Post

    **If the post office is closed, you need to determine why this is. On the
    MTA, hit F10, Configuration Status, highlight your PO and hit enter,
    select details, then look at the last closure reason.

    [ When I installed GroupWise, I wanted all the e-mail to be stored on the
    EMAIL Volume. During the install, I Changed the Install Directory to
    \Groupwiseemail. After the install I have two directories in this volume.
    One called DOMAIN and the other called PCAM (PCAM is name of my domain).

    *On the Client, when I launch GroupWise, The Novell GroupWise Startup has

    **What version of GroupWise is on the server and what version client are

    using? Also, if you pull up the properties of both the domain and post
    office in C1 what is the database version listed as?
    *** I installed GroupWise 7 both Server and Client. I'm thinking this is
    due to the Post Office being closed. I only have 1 Post Office.

    Point 1: try turning on "Show large images" in your preferences. In Acrobat for Windows, it's under the Page Display preferences. I'm not sure about OS X.

  • OT: Replying to posts on an iPad

    Has anyone visited these forums from an iPad? I can't seem to reply to posts from mine. I'm properly logged in. When I hit the Reply button in a thread, I'm taken to the text field for my reply, but when I click in the field the onscreen keyboard doesn't appear (as it does when other text fields in Safari, Mail and elsewhere are selected). Does anyone know how to solve this riddle? Thanks.

    I am getting an error when trying to post to an GL account xxxx , That account cannot be directly posted . My question is do we need to make any changes to Commitment item.I have assigned this GL account to commitment item as DPMADE. And i have marked it as directly posted in commitment item. Please help. I need immediate assistance.  Please dont waste your time regarding FS00 changes i hav echecked everything no problem in that.

    When I tried to release to accounting in VF02 tr.code, It gives me error message about "Account 900000 in company code 1302 cannot be directly posted to ". In G/L account settings, post automatically only is not checked in create /bank/interest tab. In type/description tab, account group is choosen by recon.account ready for input .

    Is it recon account , if yes then,
    It is clear what the system says: You can not make manual Journal Entries to a Reconciliation Account.
    If you need to post manually to this account you need to change from from Reconciliation to a normal account. I would not recommend if this is a real reconciliation account, thought.
    Have u set up revenue accounts (VKOA)?
    And always try to mention the error message while posting.
    Check and revert back.

    Running the  FAGL_FC_TRANSLATION program and upon running the program it has an error due to trying to post to reconciliation accounts. Assets & AP.
    Do you know if their is a area to configure?

    Hello,
    Only at the time of Initial upload of assets into system before go-live, the reconciliation accounts will be set to non-reconciliation account and upload the asset balances, then later they will be set to reconciliation account, once everything has been tallied.
    A reconciliation account cannot be directly posted in FI. You CANNOT directly post to a reconciliation account.
    You CANNOT also post to an account, where it has been kept as direct posting by system. In such cases the system only posts from other areas like MM, SD to these accounts.
