Cannot run application in JSC - Cannot start app server

I have 4 separate JSF applications developed in JSC.
On occasion, I have a problem starting the application server and get a popup saying to check for misassigned port names and contents of domain.xml.
Whenever this happens, a system reboot seems to clear up the problem until now.
Now, rebooting does not help.
I have tried all 4 projects after rebooting and none of them will start.
I do not know anything about the workings of the server, so I have not changed any of the server files since the time that it was working.
I have attached the server log below.
Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem is and how to resolve it?
Thanks

[#|2007-06-21T12:37:04.618-0500|WARNING|sun-appserver-pe8.2|javax.enterprise.tools.launcher|_ThreadID=10;|LAUNCHER005:Spaces in your PATH have been detected. The PATH must be consistently formated (e.g. C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0\bin; ) or the Appserver may not be able to start and/or stop.  Mixed quoted spaces in your PATH can cause problems, so the launcher will remove all double quotes before invoking the process. The most reliable solution would be to remove all spaces from your path before starting the Appservers components.  |#]

I'm having the same problem again.
I tried using pe-start.bat -reset and it worked once, but not any more.
Here is the result from running pe-start.bat -reset.
If anyone has any clue as to why I cannot get the app server to start in JSC and how I can fix it, PLEASE let me know.
I really don't want to do a reinstall.

Now, I am studing ADF 11. When I run my application, I meet a problem:
This problem, "can not run your application", I try to stop java, or rebuild, or clean my application... but not successfull
*#### Cannot run application Application1 due to error deploying to DefaultServer.*
*[Application Application1 stopped and undeployed from Server Instance DefaultServer]*
*[Server Instance DefaultServer is shutting down.  All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]*
    *[sending request to shutdown server...]*
    C:\oracle\Middleware\jdeveloper\system\system11.1.1.0.31.51.88\DefaultDomain\bin\stopWebLogic.cmd
    Stopping Weblogic Server...
But, If I remove adf 11 software, after that I install this software then okie, and I can run my application.
    Help me.
    thanks all

Just for the record - my thinking is that there was an application deployed on the integrated server that was miss configured.
Instead of removing the whole system directory - you could just remove the defaultServer subdirectory there.
But even better would have been the option to remove the specific offending application see here:

  • Cannot connect to the configuration database when App Server is down

    Hi,
We had a App Server not come up after a restart.
When trying to access a site we get
the "Cannot connect to the configuration database"
We have now started the App Server and everything working again...
My problem, there are 2 WFE servers with NLB Configured apart of the App Server ....Why wont the site work and why cant i connect to config DB?
Something must be misconfigured? Sites should be connecting to the WFE servers and work if App server is down.
Yes, NLB Points to the WFE Servers.
Any ideas where i can look? This is a Project PWA Server, not sure if that will make a difference but the root SharePoint site had the same issue.
    Thanks

    Hi Danie,
is it possible that the SQL Server is running on the same box as the SharePoint (application) server? This would be the only thing that can explain the symptoms. Please check following:
IP address of the SharePoint Application server by typing nslookup AppServerName on the SharePoint WFE in Command Prompt (cmd.exe). Replace
AppServerName with the FQDN of the application server, e.g. appserver.domain.local
IP address of the SQL server by typing nslookup SQLServerName on the SharePoint WFE in Command Prompt (cmd.exe). Replace
SQLServerName with the FQDN of the SQL server, e.g. sqlserver.domain.local
SQL Server alias configuration by checking the entries in the cliconfg.exe on both SharePoint WFEs
In most cases, SQL server has nothing to do with the SharePoint Application server role and it is stored on the separate box. My guess here is that the farm started as one-server farm setup and over the time got expanded by additional 2 WFEs, moving
Web Server roles from the initial server, leaving it with the application role (service applications) and SQL server on the same box.
But, I am just making an educated guess here. Can you provide some additional information?
    Hth,
    Aleks

  • How do I close all running applications before launching my java app?

Does anyone know of anyway I can code to close all running applications, even if I don't know the process names to begin with?
Is there open source code than anyone has written to do this. Other applications interfere with my app and I need to terminate all running apps/processes before launching my app. Please advise.

I see we aren't all on the same wavelength here, let
    me rephrase:
How can I write JAVA code that will terminate all
running applications so as not to interfere with the
security of my application's content, as it is
extremely sensitive content and I need to know that
no applications are running which could defeat it.
I would like my application to terminate all running
applications, is this possible to write in java code.Do you consider all the processes running in the background (launched by the OS) as part of "all running applications"? Do you not consider the OS itself as part of it as well? You're really barking up the wrong tree. But go ahead, I know you won't be convinced regarding the wonkiness of your thinking.

  • Cannot run loadjava on Solaris 10 64-bit server - wrong ELF class error

We are running into a problem when trying to run loadjava on a 10.2.0.3 database running on a Solaris 10 64-bit server.
loadjava -user xxxxx/xxxxx -verbose -resolve -force my.jar
    creating : resource pea.properties
    loading : resource pea.properties
ld.so.1: oracle: fatal: /var/db/10.2.0/lib32/libskgxp10.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32
The LD_LIBRARY_PATH does not have the lib32 directory on it, it has /var/db/10.2.0/lib instead.
Any idea on what to do?

    Hi,
Correct. The note specify general recommendations for setting the environment. The utility loadjava is not an exception.

    *********** UPTO HERE **********
Previously I am able to start the server and was able to test an application. But, this time somehow it failed to start.
I have checked the port numbers whether they are in use. But, all the port numbers required for the app server are free. I have checked it through "netstat -a".
    thanks in advance,

  • Can JSC support Sun App Server 9?

Does anyone know if JSC can support sun app server 9?
Last I heard was that 8.2 is the max version.
Along the same line, is there any word of another update to JSC
that will work with app server 9 and jdk 6???

    Hi!
Actually You can deploy your application to Sun App Server 9.0, but probably not all features will work. But now You can download NetBeans 5.5 and Visual Web Pack for it (it's a next step of Creator's evolution) and this IDE supports GlassFish (opensourced Sun App Server 9.0).
    Thanks,
    Roman.

  • Different behavior using JSC and Sun App server 8.2 - why?

I have developed a JSF application using Java Studio Creator 2.
JSC2 uses Sun App Server 8.2 as the development application server.
I also have Sun App Server 8.2 on a server that is used for deployment.
When I run an application within the IDE, I get a set of behavior that I expect to see, but not when deployewd to the server.
In particular, in one case, a grid created within a session bean is redrawn when running in the IDE but not when deployed.
In another case, I attempt to read the value of the grid text field.
In the IDE, I get a properly set 'submittedValue' property, but in the deployed environment, it is null.
Why am I seeing differences in behavior between the two environments?
How can I get the deployed version to work tge same as in the development enviroment.

I am sorry but I don't understand. Which path specifically do you mean?
    dear mr/mises
you have to change your path with net beans with8.2
you will be solving your problems
