Canon iR C3220 with EFI Fiery C1 Unit

Hi,
This is driving me crazy, I am trying to be able to print A3 on the aboe printer.
First I had to learn about the iR C1 unit and finally got some drivers for it and not the Canon ones.
This is what I have done.
I am assuming I have the C1 unit because when I login to the web interface it says Canon Fiery WebTools Printer_Unit-C1
so I Installed the Canon iR C1 v2-1 Driver
Added a new Printer via IP, use HP Direct Socket as the option, entered in the Ip address and a meaningful name
Choose the Driver "Canon CLC-iR C3200-C1 PS v2.1"
Now I can print A4 no worries.
When I select A3 in page setup of say Microsoft Word and print, the page comes out on A4 not A3
The only Driver optins I get are "Sorter and Stapler" which I have none
and Paper Deck (I think I have none I only have 2 trays)
I have also just now tried the Canon iR PS v3-20 driver which has more optins but same issue.
Surely there is something stupid I am missing?
then once I get this Mac working (OS 10.5.8) then I need to get a 10.6.4 working as well I assume its a different driver again

Since you definitely have the imagePASS-C1, the WebTools page appearing in the web browser proves it, then the driver you are using is close to the mark, although you mentioned 3220 in the heading but state that you selected the 3200 PPD, so I would open the Print & Fax > Options & Supplies > Driver tab and change to the 3220-C1 PPD.
With the correct model selected I would try opening all the paper cassettes (might need to do this after hours) and then send a print job set as A3 to the copier. What you should see on the copier touch panel is a message to load a particular paper size and possibly a particular tray. I am expecting that the message will show to load A3 but in cassette 1 or 3 which does not normally support A3.

For the imagePASS-C2 there are two files that you need to print from 10.6.
The first is the C2 Universal Binary printer driver. Install this driver first but don't create the print queue until after you run the 10.6 update. After installing the update you can then create the print queue. Note that if you create the printer using the LPD protocol you must use a queue name of print and it must be entered in lower case.

Unable to capture Canon HDV footage with Sony v1u camera

I'm trying to capture hdv footage filmed with a canon video camera with my sony v1u. My sony footage captures as it should, but the canon footage, although playing fine on the sony camera, will not capture to cs4. Any suggestions?

Check all camera settings and make sure they match the original filming mode on the other camera... and veryify your PPro settings match

After spending several hours sorting out Canon Pixma OSX problems here are my thoughts:

Problem:
- New imac and MacBook Pro 2012 (OSX 10.8.2) had a problem using Canon Pixma 868 printer on network and would not scan or print using Canon Pixma software (Pixma MP Navigator 2.1 & Photo Print), which has advanced scanning and photo printing functions.
- When I connected the canon printer to my imac, OSX 10.8.2 automatically downloaded and installed drivers for Canon 860 series printer. I could then add the new printer (select ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”) and printer would work while connected via USB but could not get to print or scan over network wifi.
- The original Canon 860 Series CD does not work with 10.8 and the manual / online instructions did not make sense (as based on CD install).
Solution:
1) Install Canon Printer Drivers and Software (from official Canon site)
Go to canon support site, review FAQ, then download and install following Pixma 860 Series software & drivers for OSX 10.8 (links see below). The version I downloaded is in brackets but check for updated version. Full instructions are below.

If you have problems installing the software under 10.8, see the FAQ on Canon site. You will need to allow software installs from “unidentified developers by using “Control” Key or by changing your system preferences)
2) Check Canon Printer and Software Working while connected via USB
Once you have downloaded and installed drivers and software and restarted computer, check that the printer and Canon Pixma software (Pixma MP Navigator 2.1 & Photo Print) are working via USB. Open the Canon IJ Network Tool App (Applications / Canon Utilities /IJ Network Tool / Canon IJ Network Tool App) and make sure you can see the Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) and that it shows the correct SSID Wifi settings (under the Canon IJ Network Tool App ‘Setup menu’). This is normally done as part of the automatic install but worth double checking
3) Add new network printer using ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”).
After you have checked USB printing turn off printer, unplug the USB cable and shutdown the Canon IJ Network Tool App.
Then turn the printer back on and wait 30s. Then add a new printer using ‘apple menu’ / ‘system preferences’ / ‘print and scan’ / “+”). Once you select “+” (add new printer), wait 10-30s for the Wifi Networked Canon MX 860 Series printer to appear in the new window eg Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) (Kind: “Canon IJ Network”)
DO NOT ADD THE MX 860 SERIES BONJOUR SCANNER (the Bonjour Scanner is the built-in software, is not needed and often appears first on the add printer list). The Canon scanner can be accessed used through the MP Nav EX Ver. 2.1.3 software (which has much better functions)
You will now have two Printer Canon MX860 (USB) and Canon MX860 (Wifi / Network). Set the Canon MX860 (Wifi / Network) as default and test print and scan
If the Wifi Networked Canon MX 860 Series printer does not appear, check the printer and make sure that the printer can see the wifi network. On the printer select Menu / Settings / Device Settings / Lan Settings / WLAN Setting List. It should say WLAN Active, identify the SSID and have an IP address
If the printer can not see the Wifi Network, plug the USB cable back in, then open the Canon IJ Network Tool App (Applications / Canon Utilities /IJ Network Tool / Canon IJ Network Tool App). Make sure you can see the Canon MX 860 series (xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx) and that it has your SSID settings (under setup), if it has this info, restart the computer and the printer and try again

I'm a newbie to the iPad and a bit of a Luddite when it comes to tech... I have a canon ir c3220 at home and want to print to it. The printer does not have wireless, it connects to a wireless router/modem via cable. all other computers print ok.

iOS devices can only print directly to AirPrint printers. All AirPrint printers are wireless but not all wireless printers are capable of using AirPrint.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint - enabled printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac running handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options may exist but you're on your own finding them.
You can also buy this standalone print server:

These options enable you to use any printer available to your network, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades.
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device.

Canon ir c3220 help

ok, i'm a brand new mac newbie. i have a canon ir c3220 at my office, and i have it installed on both windows and linux machines. It is set up on the network and on both of the other operating systems i just type in it's ip address and set the right driver and away it goes. i have tried to set it up through ipp on leopard, but when it sets up and i try to print it pauses the printer. i really don't know much about this os so any help you can give would really help me. thanks.

If your iRC3220 is using the internal Canon board for printing, then this board has three queue names; LP, SPOOL and DIRECT. SPOOL will send the print job to the internal hard drive for processing. DIRECT will send the print job to the printers RAM for processing and LP will send to either hard drive or RAM, depending on the 'Use Spooler' setting in the copier.
If the copier is using the optional imagePASS print controller, which is a white metal box that sits on the back of the copier, then it also has three print queues; print, hold and direct.
Note that the above queue names are only applicable for LPD connections. If you decide to use HP Jetdirect-Socket (aka RAW Port 9100), then the queue name is not needed.

Goods Receipt with respect to Handling Unit (Transaction u0096 MIGO)

Hi All,
A delivery is created for stock transport order for goods movement from Plant XXXX (Storage Location YYYY) to Plant XXXX (Storage Location ZZZZ).
Handling Units are packed on delivery and delivery is post goods issued from Plant XXXX (Storage Location ZZZZ).
While posting goods receipt (Transaction MIGO) without selecting Via Handling Units system populates the packaging material line item whereas when Via Handling Units is selected (in other words when tried to post Goods Receipt with respect to Handling Units) system doesnt populate the associated packaging material.
Requirement is to populate packaging material line item while posting Goods Receipt with respect to Handling Unit.
Plz guide me.

Chek the Inbound Delivery 1st weather you refer the right PO in it
You can also chek in PO i
1 Me23n Go to confirmation tab here you can see the Inbound delivery quantity
2 Chek which reference document you recived the goods, (i.e You recived the goods with reference to PO or Inbound delivery)
2 Coz if you refer the inbound delivery then syestem will deafult show the inbound quanity
And yes the actual quanity will update in inbound delivery if you refer the inbound deivery while reciveing the goods

Z400 Discs with EFI partition not mounting after Win 7 Pro upgrade

HP z400: After a repair/upgrade of Win 7 Pro (64) sp1, any external disc with an EFI partition will not mount. Drive will be present in BIOS and Disc Management, though without a letter. Unable to assign a drive letter. All other discs mount correctly. Drives with EFI partition will mount on other PCs. All drivers appear to be current and fuctional.

I figured it out... after two weeks of head-scratching, I finally found the cause.
I run MacDrive 8 so i can read discs with HFS+ formatting. That program needed to be fully uninstalled and re-installed after the upgrade. I had de-activated it prior to the upgrade, but it needed more than that. Everything works now as expected.
But wouldn't it be ince if Windows would read mac discs natively?

You mention that 'most' of your files are DNG. Try
running the effected files through Adobe DNG
converter again and then import your reprocessed
files to Aperture and see if the problem persists.
I had a problem with a batch of D2x files converted
to DNG which had been metadata tagged by
PhotoMechanic (the evil app).
B.T.W. You mention that you had been using Bridge.
Are you getting any of the embedded XMP metadata
coming into Aperture during the import process?
Already tried that multiple times...no luck. I'm wondering though if it might be related to metadata as you suggest. I'm still trying different things to see what happens.
I was able to alleviate the problem on one set of images by painstakingly searching my external drive for the oldest backups I could find - CR2 files from before DNG conversion. I then ran those through DNG Converter and tried importing them again (this time, I embedded NO thumbnail, but I'm not sure if that made the difference - I think it was more likely a fluke in the original conversion that caused the problem). This time, it worked.
Now, the big problem is that I still have a couple hundred images for which I can't seem to locate the original CR2 files. I don't typically keep them after conversion, as I don't have the space for both.

Assuming you are referring to WM inventory, it is very similar. Inventory is conducted at the SU level in WM if you are HU managed. One of the most widely known issues is the lack of ability to post differences of nested HUs at the WM level. If you are not using nested HUs, the process is the same as storage unit management without handling unit management.

Problem with field KONWA-Rate Unit(Currency or Percentage) of table KONP

I m facing problem with field 'KONWA -Rate Unit (Currency or Percentage)' of table KONP. This field is showing Currency and '%' both in table KONP. For some materials its showing currency value and for some its showing '%'. Due to which its creating load problems. My question is how this '%' is coming (means is there any calculation behind that or something else) in table KONP and how can I identify this.

These excises and duties are a percentage of the retail price. You'll then create such a condition record with this rate so that you calculation schema will post the correct value during the processing of billing documents...

In researching the issue I read that to edit in raw you need a camera model requirement of at least 7.3 which only works with CS6.
That is correct. Your camera was first supported by Camera Raw 7.3. Camera Raw 7.3 will not work with CS5. You need CS6 or CC.
Being new to all this I see that my options are to upgrade to CS6 or convert by using DNG converter and paying a monthly fee. Two things I know nothing about and don't know which is would be more beneficial.
I'd appreciate any advise on which route to go and how upgrade and what it may cost.
It all depends on your preferred workflow and your budget.
Using the DNG converter is free. There is no monthly fee. You use the converter to convert all Raw files from the EOS 6D to DNGs then edit the DNGs in CS5. That's an extra step every time - every photo. Some people don't like the extra step. Others don't mind.

I shoot only RAW - no JPEG-files except those visualizing the files on my memorycard or computer. I think i have to refine my question;
1. I know there is possible to make B/W HDR-images.
2. I know the best HDR images are based on RAW-files.
3. When i transfer the images in question to a HDR software they change, so when i view them in the software (either Preview or the HDR software) they are suddenly viewed (and processed) in color.
4. This never happend on my PC so i know it has to do with either Finder or Preview.
5. Do i have to make all my B/W HDR-images on the PC or is it a way for me to change how Finder/Preview show/alter my images?

It's not possible. T4i requires ACR 7.1 and that only comes with PSE 11, PS CS6 and LR4. You need to upgrade.
