Cant Set windows PDC

hi hope some one can help
im now trying to promote my os x 10.4.11 server to a windows PDC, the server has been running for sometime as a directory master with no probs, when i then try and save the PDC setting i just get error while writing settings
from reading other posts i checked the system logs and get
Servermgr_smb:opendirectorypdbconfig error [238]
Servermgr_smb:opendirectorypdbconfig error [-14098]
again back to the forum i followed further advice to
make sure my computer name is less than 16 char
try using root as the username
try using your ldap director admin name and password
so far nothing has worked and still get this error
can anyone please help

I think the problem lays with Last.fm. I had the same exact problem as you. In your processes screen, end the task "lastfmhelper.exe" Last.fm still scrobbles. The tracks don't skip, although I notice there is still a bit of a lag in the first part of the song - but if you can deal with that, no skipping. I think you will have to end that task everytime you boot up your computer, or uninstall last.fm completely until they fix it; it is a bug in their software, as opposed to iTunes.

Cant install windows 8 on macbook pro 13 inch mid2010 Mountain lion 10.8.3. When i insert the windows 8 CD and try to install it on bootcamp Version 5.0.2 it say "Windows 8 is not supported on this Mac, Boot Camp only supports installing Windows 7 on this Mac. Please insert a DVD which contains a full version of Windows 7." i saw other topics using same mac and they installed it.
Please need help

i cant install windows 7 ultimate on my imac every time i gets to the part wherr you shall pick the boot camp it says that i should put a cd with a driver in it put the windows cd wont get out.

Please specify your hardware and software. Running OSX? Which version? Old hardware/new hardware?
It is not sure what your problem is: is it that the CD will not eject? Or is it that the winbdows cd is not installing?

I have one Mac pro workstation on a all windows network, its added to the domain. i can give network users administrative permissions on the pc by selecting allow user to administer this computer in the accounts in system preferences but they dont have file permissions unless i add them explicitly on the file or folder. i'm new with macs and not sure on what to do.

How to set window.status when returning to a page with back button/list?

It is easy enough to set window.status to application-oriented information when loading a page: do it in a function which is the onload handler for the page's body element. But, when returning to this window from another window with the second window's back button, or selecting the first window from the second window's back list, window.status gets set to browser-oriented information, usually the string "Done". Is there any means by which I can set window.status to application-oriented information when returning to the window via another window's back button/list? What would be really great is if there is an event handler like this:
window.onreturnviaback = onreturn_via_backhandler;
Any ideas?

You can use the call library function node. Once you drop it on your block diagram double click it and you will be able to select the dllyou want to use. Choose kernel32.dll and you will see methods listed called getsystemtime and setsystemtime. Use those

Cisco Prime - Running LMS on a Windows PDC

Greetings,
Due to certain limitations we must run Cisco Prime on a Windows PDC (Primary Domain Controller). This isn't supported, and the install/upgrade won't let you accomplish this, but I think on our Windows 2008 R2 Server Cisco Prime was originally installed on a stand-alone server that was later changed to a PDC. We're running LMS 4.2.3 and it seems to run fine but now we need to upgrade but the installer won't allow it. Has anyone out there come up with a workaround that allows you to run an upgrade on a PDC?
Any clever ideas on how to circumvent this greatly appreciated!

I see better what you mean now I didn't associate AD with the windows domain.
Yes I too had a customer where the LMS server down after it was "targeted" by a GPO from a policyserver.
I was good for doing a reinstall of LMS until on of people of their network team found what policy clobbered the server. He could then revert the damage.
Basically the server is best left alone as well as the casuser account.
Actually the prefered situation from cisco is to take the machine out of the domain (standalone).

Boot camp cant find windows installer

I'm trying to run boot camp to install Windows 7 on a partition and it can't find the Windows installer. I'm tried it from a USB and the Windows DVD, but neither works.
It's an 2008 iMac 2.66 Ghz 4 Gig Ram, 128 SSD running 10.7.2

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by Boot Camp "can't" find window installer. I used BC to partition my drive and create my driver DVD. I inserted the W7 DVD and clicked install. My Mac restarted, but it did not install W7. I could see there was a BC partition on my hard drive so I tried to restart and at the "chime" hold the option key. Only my Mac and Restore drives were visible. When the computer finished restarting I inserted the W7 DVD. I restarted again and held option at the chime. This time the W7 disk was visible. I selected it and everything went great.
I expected the "Windows Installer" to come up and ask to insert disk or since the disk was already in the drive to just restart in the BC partition and install it. But, it needed a little user intervention. This was true also for the several restarts during the install process. Everytime I had to hold the option key and select the Windows partition. I suppose I could have set Windows as the default but I'm not sure.
I hope you figure it out.

Boot Using OPTION key:
1. Restart the computer.
2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the "OPTION" key.
3. Release the key when the boot manager appears.
4. Select your OS X disk.
5. Click on the arrow button below the icon.

yes. you are using the right code. It should work. If it doesn't, it means that somewhere in your application the mdi-window size is set differently.
you can verify this by calling show_alert right after your code:
set_window_property( forms_mdi_window, window_state, maximize );
set_alert_property( '<alert_name>', alert_message_text, 'window-state is now: ' || get_window_property( forms_mdi_window, window_state ) );
