Capture export media event in Adobe Premiere
We're developing a html5 Adobe Premiere Extension. The extension imports files to the editor from our archive. The files have two versions. Hi-res and Low-res. We import the low-res versions to the editor. We want to change the path of the file from low-res to hi-res when the user finishes his job and exports the media (File->Export->Media). Is there a way to capture the export event and change the file paths?
OK. I finally get it working. There are some problems with the sample code.
Line 377: eventObj.data = "Job " + jobID + ", to " + outputFilePath + ", FAILED. :(";
The "outputFilePath" variable is not declared in the function.
Line 398: var out_preset_path = "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014\MediaIO\systempresets\58444341_4d584658\XDCAMHD 50 NTSC 60i.epr";
The '\' characters are not escaped. It should be;
var out_preset_path = "C:\\Program Files\\Adobe\\Adobe Media Encoder CC 2014\\MediaIO\\systempresets\\58444341_4d584658\\XDCAMHD 50 NTSC 60i.epr";
It starts Adobe Media Encoder and finishes the job successfully. Is it possible to do it without Media Encoder? Like "File->Export->Media" menu does.

Options for exporting a project in Adobe premiere Pro CS5.5
When Exporting a project from Adobe premiere Pro CS5.5 I use the format of Windows Media file and Preset HDTV 1080P 30 HighQuality. At the bottom of the window there are some options that say "Use Maximum Render Quality" And "Use Frame Blending". I used these two options on my first video I exported but I want to know for the future what both of these options do exactly to my film and if they could adversely effect things like lighting and the frame rate of a clip or anything?
Max Render Quality does what is says: gives better picture quality, but will lengthen the export process.
Frame Blending you check when output framerate differs from timeline framerate. -
Exporting prores files from adobe premiere on a windows 7 PC
Does anyone know if Media encoder can be set up to encode to Prores files.
If not how can I save edited prores files on my Adobe premiere timeline to a prores file for distribution.AFAIK, You can only export to Proress if you are on a Mac.
On Windows you have to export to a lossless format and then use a converter. -
Media Pending with Adobe Premiere Pro CS4
First of all guys, I know this is not a brand new issue but please help me out as am providing details. Thank you.
I have JVC Everio jvc everio gz-hd5 60GB camcorder. As you probably know that it records file into .TOD format, I converted them into .MPG format. This is how I am importing to Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 before it's showing me golden little screen displaying PENDING MEDIA forever.
1. Import -> new project
2. Capture format -> HDV
3. Available Preset -> HDV108030p
Operating system detail
Microsoft XP Pro Version 2002 Service pack 3
2.19 GHZ, 1.99GB RAM, Intel core 2 duo CPU
p.s - I read some forums but the way they explained is too confusing.I dont think I have enough info about your computers and hard drives and so on to tell if you can really edit HD stuff , but at this point you should really convert the TOD file first anyway. I don't think just renaming the extension will make it work OK, but I found some info on the internet that might help you convert to a more editor friendly format...
Standard definition video is stored in MPEG program stream container files with MOD extension; in most other systems these files have extension MPG or MPEG. High definition video is stored in MPEG transport stream container files with TOD extension; in most other systems these files have M2T extension.[2] Transport stream files can be converted into more common program stream files without recompressing the video itself. For example, FFmpeg, a free software program, performs the conversion on Windows and Linux systems with the following command: ffmpeg -i myclip.TOD -acodec copy -vcodec copy myclip.mpg. Software, included with TOD camcorders, performs this conversion as part of capture process. A similar command is used for MOD files: ffmpeg -i myClip.MOD -vcodec copy -acodec ac3 -ab 384k myClip.mpg -acodec mp2 -ab 192k -newaudio.
You Gspot screenshot is good, and it shows that it doesn't recognize anything about the codec and codec name..the right side of the GSpot is usually full of information about the video file...like the frame size, FPS , aspect ratio, and so on. As you can see from the above paragraph you would probably benefit from converting the TOD file using FFmpeg or some other program like streamclip ( also free program )
That's your first step I think...
You will have to know what your video file is...from the camera manual you can find out the frame size and fps used, whether it is progressive or interlaced, etc... The reason you will need to know about your video file is because when you open the TOD file in a program like streamclip to convert it, you will want to convert it to basically the same specs, but with as a different "codec" and file type....but keep the same video characteristics as the original. -
Export from FCP to Adobe Premiere on PC for client to cut
I have some sequences that are complete on FCP 6 and had originally been used for DVD production
Now the client wants me to export them to some format, written to DVD for transport, and enable him to bring them up on his Windows PC in Adobe Premiere so he can make cuts that he will convert to Flash and put on the internet. What would be the easiest way to convert the files to something that will make this process go smoothly. He has no desire to have FCP xml files and original data files so that he can continue to edit in premiere. He just wants to cut and export.OK -- I could make them WMV on the Mac side, move them to Windows. What software do you recommend to get them to Flash?

Exporting AE composition as Adobe Premiere Pro Project
Hi Adobe support team; me again. Do you know what am I supposed to do? Step by step and very simple vocabulary plz... The question? What am I supposed to do to export an After Effects composition as an Adobe Premiere Pro Project. When I export a layer from the composition it works good, but when I try exporting all the composition, it doesn't work at all. There is obviously something wrong; what it is?
Depends if you are on the cloud or not or the new 12.0 version. One way to do it is to import your AE footage into PP as pending on your puter....
Important to tell your version and OS when posting. What seems clear at your end is being asked from someone who has not seen your challenge. -
How to export AE Projects to Adobe Premiere?
I want to color correct my videos. How can I transport my color corrected videos to Premiere? What do I export it as? I tried both AE project and Adobe Premiere Project and they both don't work. Thanks!
Here's a page that outlines the various ways to exchange data between After Effects and Premiere Pro.
When you export a project or use copy and paste, aspects of an After Effects project have to be converted into Premiere Pro project features, or vice versa. This conversion is far from complete, and it's not intended for perfect fidelity. This page has tables to show what is converted and how.
If you want perfect fidelity, you need to either use Dynamic Link or render and export an intermediate movie. -

How do I properly export my video from Adobe Premiere?
I've been trying all day and I'm deeply annoyed. I need to export it as a quicktime Mpeg-4 format and I tried, but the video was messed up and had lines of miss coloration. I don't understand what that is. Does this have something to do with the bitrate in the export settings. I don't know what to do, because the projects all done but If I can't export it I might as well not have done it.
I haven't used elements in 6-7years so apologies if I miss the mark.
Am assuming videomerge merges the layers down to simplify timeline (akin to nesting?! in Pr) as haven't come across this before. Either way you probs shouldn't need to do so - put each video in a separate layer and crop and move as you have done and render and should come out great as one video file (no need to then video merge).
If you do insist on video merge, move the central big size video to the bottom layer with the 4 small ones to layers above. Then when you merge down the side videos won't get obscurred
Or use garbage matts - look in effects and should be there. Drag and drop on each clip and move cornersto selct area you want to keep just as you would for a crop. See if that sorts your problem out.
Re Premiere Pro. Great piece of software but more complicated so might not suit your needs (though may do) but not cheap (even with edu discount) if not using it for your job (check creative cloud subscription cost). Worth checking out DaVinci Resolve 11 if you want pro software (which is now free as a result of buyout)- mostly for colouring but also has editor. If you do start making decent money on Youtube (though for all I know you could be! :-) ) and want to get into some complex editing and feel limited by Elements, then definitely get pro - you won't regret it at that stage in your editing.
Finally, your screenshots genuinely look very impressive, I like the split view and nice to see people pay attention to lighting - I think lighting and sound are just soooo important (more so than what camera and lens) and far too often overlooked. -
I can't export or render in adobe premiere!! HELP HELP!!
I Can't export anything at all.
The reason I couldn't export was my video layer was H264 and my lower third was a nested animation codec as well as my end graphic. I exported movies without lower third and then composited them in after effects for my final render to youtube. see here: MAR1 1 - YouTube

Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 Cannot Export to Encoder Cannot find Updates
I am trying to export my movie from Adobe Premiere Pro CS4, I get a window that reads: An Adobe Media Endocer update is available for this version of Premiere Prol To download the latest update, please run the Adobe Updater from the Help menu or visit htt://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates. When I go help menu and select updates, It only comes back with the Adobe Reader 9 update. When I visit http://www.adobe.com/downloades/updates I cannot find the update anywhere, all updates seem to be for CS5.
Everytime I have used this program in the past the Encoder programs opens automatically when I export from Premiere Pro. But not anymore.
When I open Encoder then open Premiere Pro and export my movie, It loads into Encoder but I get these two error readings. Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Assertion Failed! Program:... File:..\GUI\Editor.cpp, Line: 391, Expression: false, For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure, see the Visual C++ documentation on asserts (Press Retry to debug the application - JIT must be enabled
When I select retry, I get another window that reads: PProHeadless.exe has stopped working, A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify yoou if a solution is available.What Adobe products do you have installed? Production Premium or ?
What you did puts the file into the ame queue, but does not actually export it.
Can you open ame? Start -> Programs -> [adobe program group] -> Adobe Media Encoder -
Color on exported video on Adobe Premiere Pro Is a bit off from the original source video
I have both Cyberlink powerdirector 10.0 and Adobe Premiere Pro C6
I noticed that adobe premere cs6. when exporting the video.. colors are a little off.. never matching the same tones as the original
source
i took a screenshot so you can see what i mean.. Notice Adobe is a a little mor orange. is there a way to fix this? Cyberlink powedirector always matches the source color when you export it. except Adobe Premiere Pro CS 6
i have windows 7 64 bit (Nvidia GeForce GTX 670MThanks for answering. I ddi notice different media players show colors different. But on the screenshot i just showed you.. all 3 are from the same media player.
For some reason everytime i export a video from Adobe premiere pro the color is never the same as the source on media player. I tried it on 4 different videos. Other software programs like cyberlink power director export the video with no color change.
1)The original source from the picture is a mpeg-4 (avc)
2)i always use wmv codec to encode all videos. So the shot from Premiere Pro was using WMV codec. and the other shot (cyberlink powerdirector) was also wmv to encde.
3) I even tried to see if maybe i used a different video format to encode it would fix the slight color change. like h264 and mov.. but nope still same issue
4) I did what you told me to show the source and exported video on Adobe Premiere and really weird. the exporterd video from Adobe Premiere now shows the exact color as the source.. but the exported video from Cyberlinkpowerdirector shows the color a bit different.
Heres the media codec information

Windows MediaExcellent - great information guys! I love the links to write ups.
preface: (This whole project was shot with Canon 5DM2 - I don't remember if the cameras were set at 24 or 30 fps ) so as i am learning about the export options i am also learning (the hard way) about the seq settings.
Right now on my current project (fashion show) I have 9 designers that walked the runway, so i am creating 9 timelines in a project. for each designer/tl i will output (.mov)vimeo and facebook seg for each one. i have edited 4 designers so far and i think i have some issues and i need to learn more about seq settings and also output options.
I am also delivering a physical dvd. I created a FINAL tl that i am dropping each (nested) designer segment onto. when i created this tl i must have set it up as dv ntsc - (out of habit)-and i think that is the choice for going to physical dvd?not sure?.
the first 2 designers i set the seq settings at dv ntsc and they fit (nested ) on the "final" tl, ///however i think i had to resize all those clips (I didn't know why they weren't right. - honestly i can't remember///
ANYWAYS, Designers 3 and 4= i had set the seq settings at canon xf mpeg2 1080i/p
Should all the designers seg be set at canon xf mpeg2 1080i/p (i selected 1080p30) but i really don't know if it was 24 or 30 (is that information in clip info somewhere?)
Can I change a seq setting once the timeline is edited on? = please don't tell me i have to re=edit. yikes What should the correct settings be?
Is there a work around to put designers 1&2 (dv ntsc settings) on same tl with 3&4 (canon xf mpeg 1080p30) ?
Finally what setting should that final (NESTED FINAL timeline all designers) be? - for output to physical DVD ( JVC-Taiyo Yuden ) -
Capturing HDV using Adobe Premiere CS3 - more than 20 minutes of video
Hello,
I'm facing a weird situation with Adobe premiere CS3, I use a canon XH-A1 video camera to capture video & recently started using adobe premiere for editing, the issue is if I start to capture HD video for more than 20 minutes, adobe is not able to capture the video (shows a red screen), but it works fine, if I capture upto 20 minutes of video.
I have in the past had to break down a single tape into 3 halves, to successfully capture the video, this is NOT the ideal way, as I have to babysit the video capture, to limit the capture to 20 minutes & restart it.
Has anyone faced this error? Any advice/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Kalyan.Could the reason be that you are capturing to an FAT32 format hard drive and it is only allowing you a limited maximum file size? Not sure but I think it is 4GB which would equate to 1/3 of a DV 13GB hour ...or about 20 minutes.
If that is correct, and you should be able to tell because the capture window will display the file size limit as space available during capture, you could do one of two things:
* reformat the drive as NTFS which removes the file size limitation (I have just done this on an external drive for exactly the same reason), but do look up online instructions for this and do it carefully.
* if the material is not long continuous shots of over 20 minutes, switch on Scene Detect during capture; it's wise to cut material up into smaller chunks in any case as huge files become very unwieldy and handling them could slow your machine right down. -
Capture print event in adobe reader and show a message
Hi,
We have only adobe reader installed on our machines, is it possible to use the sdk to capture the print event in adobe reader? Our goal is to show a message to the users before the print dialog appears and
as soon as the user prints a document?
Is it possible?
Thank you,
PeterYou can certainly develop a plugin for Adobe Reader that would do this.
Plugins are written in C/C++ and, for Reader, you will need to obtain a license & associated key from Adobe to enable that plugin. Details are all in the SDK.
