Capture GUI as an Image

Hi I want to capture the Frame or a diaog using a program, as an Image and later use it in the application.

Look at Robot.createScreenCapture()

    Because I have taken over 9,999 images, my phone is now duplicating image numbers. The problem is that Image Capture now imports BOTH images when I select the new ones that share numbers with old ones.  The images were completely mixed when they showed up in Image Capture - Old image 0001, new image 0001, old image 0002, new image 0002 and so forth. I clicked on "date," which then rearraged the images, and I selected only the new ones, but when they actually import to my computer BOTH old and new images are importing. Has anyone figured out how to solve this problem?

    Well, obviously all I needed to do  to solve the problem was to post about it. It has stopped, so all is well!

  • GUI Tool for Image Analysis (delimited ascii file)

    i've created a Java GUI Tool for Image Analysis. It does length calculation and locate the coordinate of centroid of an image...the problem now is how do i save the results in a delimited ascii file??

    Create a FileOutputStream, use that to construct a PrintWriter, then use the PrintWriter as you use System.out. Print out the data, then append the delimiter manually after each set of data.
    To get the file, the simplest ways would be to hard code an output file name or at least have a text field so the user can enter it. If you want it to look more professional, use a JFileChooser.
    I hope this helps!

  • HT1296 How can I capture and save an image on my screen for later retrieval

    How can I capture and save an image on my iPad screen for later retrieval, perhaps on my Laptop (Windows 7)?
    Is there a way to copy the image to a storage device?
    Thanks, Don.

    Its easy to take an iPad screenshot. Press & release the Home and the Power buttons quickly at the same time. I have trouble with that so I press & hold the Home button and then very quickly press and release the Power button. Your screenshot is stored in the Camera Roll of the Photos app. Probably the easiest way to get it to your PC is to be using iCloud, or email it to your PC. There are also some wireless sync apps in the iTunes app store that let you send photos from the iPad to a Mac or PC. I use PhotoSync.

  • Images from the Cannon 1D Mark IV will not sort in accourding to capture time w/other images shot?

    Recently shot a wedding using 4 different cameras.  All of the images will sort accourding to capture time except the images shot on the Cannon D1 Mark IV.  Has anyone run into this, and is there a fix for it?  If not how do a manually sort them into the other images.  They seem to want to keep themselves segregated.

    Is there a manual way of moving them into order.
    Put them all into a Collection then click and drag them to the order you want. Remember, that you must click on the thumbnail image, not the frame, for it to be moveable.

  • Since the capture media is no longer working for capturing Windows 8.1 images,

    Since Copy Profile doesn't work when you use the sccm capture media to capture a Windows 8.1 image
    This is how I been capturing my Windows 8.1 image.
    1. Manually sealing the image. Logged in as Administrator, I run, C:\Windows\System32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe /shutdown /unattend:"C:\Windows\System32\sysprep\sysprep64-81-std.xml" this points to my answer file which contains copy
    profile=true. Once Windows is shutdown, I boot directly to PXE, using a TS of the method found in the link below.
    2. I then use this method to capture the image directly to a wim file. http://blog.coretech.dk/mip/capture-none-syspreped-image-using-sccm-running-imagex-from-a-ts/
    I'd like to hear how others are capturing there Windows 8.1 images, because I am always looking for a better method.

  • Help with implementing Swing GUI within jpg image

    Dear Java Experts,
    I have a question, is there a way to implement java swing objects (ie jbutton, jcombobox, etc) within an imageicon. Basically, i am trying to juggle between ways of getting JSwing GUI into a background jpg image. Please help me. I thank you all in advance.

    You've it back to front.
    Create an transparent extension of JPanel that paints an image on it's
    background before running it's super class paint method.
    You'll need to extend this example to stretch, center or tile the image
    but otheriwse it's complete.
    BTW - you have to pass an argument to this example that is the path of
    the image you want on the background of the panel, like:
    java -cp <whatever> MyJavaProject1 images/something.gif
    Enjoy.
    import java.awt.*;
    import javax.swing.*;
    import javax.swing.border.*;
    public class MyJavaProject1
         static class BackgroundPanel
              extends JPanel
              private ImageIcon mIcon;
              public BackgroundPanel(ImageIcon icon) {
                   mIcon= icon;
                   super.setOpaque(false);
              public void setOpaque(boolean flag) { }
              public void paint(Graphics g)
                   g.drawImage(mIcon.getImage(), 0, 0, null);
                   super.paint(g);
         public static void main(String[] argv)
              JFrame frame= new JFrame(argv[0]);
              BackgroundPanel panel= new BackgroundPanel(new ImageIcon(argv[0]));
              panel.setLayout(new GridLayout(0,2,4,4));
              panel.setBorder(new EmptyBorder(4,4,4,4));
              panel.add(new JLabel("Name"));
              panel.add(new JTextField());
              panel.add(new JLabel("Address"));
              panel.add(new JTextField());
              panel.add(new JLabel("Phone"));
              panel.add(new JTextField());
              frame.getContentPane().add(panel, BorderLayout.CENTER);
              frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
              frame.pack();
              frame.setResizable(false);
              frame.setVisible(true);
    }

  • N96 capturing but not saving images

    Hi,
    I've had an N96 for ages without issue but recently it has stopped saving images.
    Camera works fine, can take photos and they display on the screen as captured but then, unlike before, they are not automatically saved.
    Have checked memory space - loads left
    Restored camera settings - no change
    Have checked other folders and "all photos" rather than just gallery - still no sign of latest image(s)
    Any help..?

    Rob, the option to retain the original Raw file (in this case CR2) is in conversion to DNG done from the Library module, not to conversions done during importation when Copy as DNG is selected, because in this case the original remains on the card.
    CDPhoto, if, on the Import page, you select Copy instead of Copy as DNG, your files on the hard disc will be CR2s. If your really do want them converted to DNG, in the right side panel select File Handling/Make a Second Copy To: and designate a location. The second copy will be CR2.

  • Make a GUI display an image

    Im having trouble adding an image to a GUI, ive tryed adding it the same way I would add a JLabel (seeing as there both swing components, i asumed it would work) but it wont work, heres my code.
    import javax.swing.*;
    import java.awt.*;
    public class HelloWorldSwing
        private static void createAndShowGUI()
            JFrame frame = new JFrame("My Gui");
            frame.setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE);
            frame.setSize(200, 50);
            frame.setResizable(false);
            frame.setLocationRelativeTo(null);
            ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("Logo", "C:/Windows/System32/oobe/images/mslogo.jpg" );
            frame.getContentPane().add(image);
            frame.validate();
            frame.setVisible(true);
        public static void main(String[] args)
            //Schedule a job for the event-dispatching thread:
            //creating and showing this application's GUI.
            javax.swing.SwingUtilities.invokeLater(new Runnable() {
                public void run() {
                    createAndShowGUI();
    }What am I doing wrong ?

    as there both swing components...An ImageIcon does not inherit from Component. You cannot add an ImageIcon with add()...

  • Screen Capture //draw and save image

    I've made a mini flash app that lets you draw/etc...
    I want to be able to take a screen shot of that image, i dont
    want to capture webcame / microphone or anything, just simple
    screen capture...

    You can try with free screen capture softwares like :
    UScreen Capture
    VHScreen Capture
    Camtasia
    Also there are many device which can do this like Vision RGB, Epiphan etc.
    These devices gets listed in FMLE as anyother normal video device. For audio you van attach any mike on your computers and can use the sound card of your system in audio device list.
    These devices lets you capture HD video at maximum 10 FPS depending upon your machine hardware capabilities but i think this FPS is more tha sufficient for power point slides and presentations.
    Also please keep bitrates little bit high because of high size video.
    Please let me know if this works for you.

  • Netbeans GUI editing: insert image / icon

    Hi everybody,
    I have build my GUI using the NetBeans 5.0 GUI editor. Does anybody know how to insert an image or icon in my GUI using this editor?
    Best regards,
    Jethro

    I've only tinkered with netbeans for about 5 minutes, but it seemed easy enough -
    in design view add a label, highlight the label, go to the label properties window
    (bottom right corner), click the elipse next to icon, select the image file, OK out
    an image appears

  • Webcam capture & save as JPEG image

    Hi,
    I'm creating an application to capture image via webcam using directshow. I've managed to capture the stream using samplegrabber.
    the problem is when I save the grabbed image to a JPEG, the colors are incorrect.
    provided the link of the captured image from the webcam http://www.filefreak.com/pfiles/44160/test2.jpg
    the right hand side of the image should be brown colored, not blue as in the picture.
    I've also test to save as a bmp image, the color are ok.
    this is how i save the grabbed webcam frame into a jpeg file
    sampleGrabber->GetCurrentBuffer(&bufferSize, (long*)frameBuffer);
    //save into jpeg
    struct jpeg_compress_struct cinfo;
    struct jpeg_error_mgr jerr;
    JSAMPLE * image_buffer=NULL;
    FILE * outfile;
    JSAMPROW row_pointer[1];
    int row_stride;
    cinfo.err = jpeg_std_error(&jerr);
    jpeg_create_compress(&cinfo);
    if ((outfile = fopen("test2.jpg", "wb")) == NULL) {
            fprintf(stderr, "can't open %s\n", "test2.jpg");
        return;
    image_buffer = (unsigned char*)frameBuffer;
    jpeg_stdio_dest(&cinfo, outfile);
    cinfo.image_width = videoWidth;
    cinfo.image_height = videoHeight;
    cinfo.input_components = 3;
    cinfo.in_color_space = JCS_RGB;
    jpeg_set_defaults(&cinfo);
    jpeg_set_quality(&cinfo, 255, TRUE );
    jpeg_start_compress(&cinfo, TRUE);
    row_stride = videoWidth * 3;
    while (cinfo.next_scanline < cinfo.image_height) {
        row_pointer[0] = & image_buffer[cinfo.next_scanline * row_stride];
        (void) jpeg_write_scanlines(&cinfo, row_pointer, 1);
    jpeg_finish_compress(&cinfo);
    fclose(outfile);
    jpeg_destroy_compress(&cinfo);
    //end save jpeg
    Thanks.

  • Capture Windows 8.1 Image

    Hello I am in the process of capturing a Surface Pro Windows 8.1 image.   I would like to create a task to capture the image instead of having to create the capture media --> copy it to that computer and have it copy the image file back to
    SCCM.  Can this be done?  Thanks.
    Charles

    Have a look at something like this:
    http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?/topic/6353-using-system-center-2012-configuration-manager-part-7-build-and-capture-windows-7-x64-sp1/
    This will build and capture your machine. In case you really only want to capture simply disable the build part. Also keep in mind that in that case the machine requires a client to push the task sequence to.

  • Recording/Capturing Data but No Image or Meters

    I have been able to capture video with OL direct to the LapTops HDD - nice.  But I don't see any video in the Monitor nor do I have any data in the meters - Wave Form and Vector Scope.  Any idea why this may be happening?  The Lap Top is older, but it is running nothing but OL.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Any ideas?

    You can look up your graphics card by going Start>Run>"dxdiag", then click on the Display tab. Look for the device name. The driver date, shown on the same page, could also be instructive.
    If PixelShader is in fact the root cause, then CS3 would most likely run better on that particular computer.
