How to capture the checkbox status in ALV Grid display
I need some immediate help regarding Grid ALV.
My Requirement: I need to display an ALV grid report along with checkboxes. Further, I need to provide an option wherein the user can checkboxes and select the records that I need to process further (by clicking the process button on the ALV Report).
My Query: The problem here is that I am not able to capture the status of the checkboxes. This means that I am not able to capture which of the records have been selected by checking their resp checkboxes.
Solutions that I have tried: I have tried capturing the same at user command by checking the value in slis_selfield. But all the records show the value as 1 for the checkbox field.
Kinldy suggest how to go about it.
I am not using Object Oriented ALV. Please suggest something to be used in ALV Grid display in 4.6C version.

Multiple line selection and then capturing the selected values
Dear all
in my alv program ,i need to capture multiple line selections using checkboxes.
I have appended check boxes by adding it in the internal table & filling in field catalog.
but problem is i'm not able to capture multiple selected check boxes dynamically,
i could capture only the last selected check box,
option i found was to use class method get-selected-rows,but i'm unable to use it properly, could anyone explain in detail
i have already gone through the various examples in sdn but i am not able to work out.
like using parameters etc....
CAN ANY ONE HELP ME WITH THE CODE
help reqired immediately,
Thanks in advance.Hi Ankur,
In the PAI, just after the selection of your user event, button or menu,
add this code before getting the selected records.
<b>CALL METHOD grid1->check_changed_data
IMPORTING
e_valid = ws_x.</b>
where grid1 TYPE REF TO cl_gui_alv_grid,
Now fetch the selected records.
Check this code for reference

How to capture the selected values from module pool dialog list box !
Hi experts,
Can anyone help me out in capturing the values from the list box.
i am able to set the values in the list box.But i am not able to capture the selected value from the list box. Always the list box name is getting as "space"
I also tried in using the FM "VRM_GET_VALUES" but it is retireving all the values. Is there is any flag for filttering out the selected value.
Your inputs are appreciated.

To capture the selected rows along with edited field contents in alv report
Dear All,
I do have requirement where, in alv report output one field is editable and need to save the content of the edited field along with the selected rows.
For example If there are 10 records displayed in the alv output with 20 fields.
Out of this 20 fields one field (say XYZ) is editable. Also i have already created a new pushbutton (say ABC) on alv output. Now in the alv output if we maintain some value in the field (XYZ ) for the 2nd and 4th record and select this two records, and when clicked on the pushbutton (ABC) it has to update the DB table.
I am using the Func Module 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'.
Your early reply with sample code would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.HI Naveen ,
There is an import parameter "i_callback_program" in the function module,
plz pass the program name to it.
Capture the command by passing a field of type sy-ucomm to "I_CALLBACK_USER_COMMAND ". Check the returned command and
and program a functionality as desired.
u can try the event double_click or at line selection. there u can use READLINE command to c if the line has been selected.
In case it is , process the code segment.

How to capture the user change in an input field on a selection screen?
I am coding a selection screen in which there are two input fields. The first field takes a Unix directory from the user input. Based on the input value, the second field will be populated with a the name of a file under the corresponding directory.
My question is how I can make the program capture the user input without having to make the user press ENTER after they enter the value in the first field?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.Venkat,
Actually you led me to the real solution! It's the function module DYNP_VALUES_READ that does the trick for me. This function enables the program to capture dynamic user changes without recourse to PAI. Please refer to the code below:

How to capture the selected values of the filter?
Hi Everybody
I have created a dashboard using a 4 column filter. It all works well - no problem.
I now need to enhance the functionality of the dashboard which needs the selected values of each of the parameters of the filter. As far as I know, the selections of the fiilter columns are not "Inserted In" any cell, only the data values of the corresponding row not including the filter columns are inserted in the "Inserted In" row, is there a way to capture the values of the filter column selections in some cells on the spreadsheet?
An early response from you all shall be highly valued.
Also, does anyone know which is the current equivalent version of Xcelsius to the old Xcelsius Workgroup version. This Xcelsius Workgroup version supported the "XML Integration Dynamic Refresh" wherein you didn't have to reinserted the updated Excel spreadsheet into Xcelsius have an updated dashboard - as long as the corresponding XML files were updated with the latest data, the exported dashboard would refresh.

Capture the rows selected ,tableView
Hi Friends,
I have a requirement and i was searching in the forum and i have seen the same question been asked
Capture the rows selected in a multiselect table view (BSP) but i couldn't able to judge how the thread is closed
We have a tableView that is filled on selecting a value from a dropDownListBox.
and now i select some rows from the table view and click on a button(say btn_ok)
now the data is processed .
now what is my requirement is when i again run the page and select the same drop down value i want to see the rows to be already selected for which i have done before
example
dropdown -
> a is selected
table view
1----> selected
2
3---->selected
4
5---->selected
6
btn ok
next time i want to c these selected rows already as SELECTED
Regards
BhavanaHi,
Are you able to fetch single row? If yes then debug and try to solve it. I don't have SAP System right now but this will help you. First change your table selection mode "Multiple". After that write following code in your "OnInputProcessing"
Sending Selected Field to the calling Screen
DATA : tv TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_tableview,
tv_data TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_event_tableview,
event TYPE REF TO cl_htmlb_event.
tv ?= cl_htmlb_manager=>get_data(
request = runtime->server->request
name = 'tableView'
id = 'tv_field' ).
RECEIVING
data = tv.
tv_data = tv->data.
w_field = tv_data->row_key.
Where w_field is your field name. By the way this I used to get one row. Try debugging and may be you will find your way.

Capture the Node clicked / selected in Toplevel navigation
HI
How to capture the node that is clicked by user in the generated toplevel navigation from the taglib.
I need to pass the TAB/MENU name selected by user to another JSP using session or request object.
<nav:iterateInitialNavNodes>
<li class='Level1'><nav:navNodeAnchor navigationMethod="byURL" />
<%-- check to see if there are level 2 nodes, if so start another <ul> and assign a CSS class --%>
<nav:ifNavNodeHasChildren>
<ul>
<%-- again go through all the nodes in level 2 --%>
<nav:iterateNavNodeChildren>
<%-- id l1 is written for second level hover and to set its css properties --%>
<li class='Level2' id='l1'><nav:navNodeAnchor navigationMethod="byURL" /></li>
</nav:iterateNavNodeChildren>
</ul>
</nav:ifNavNodeHasChildren>
</li>
</nav:iterateInitialNavNodes>
Suggestions appreciated.
Thanks in advance.Hi ,
I got the answer, I am closing this.
Its very simple , the FPN is implemented , the URL of the portal will be appended with "Short Cut" or "Navigation Parameter" with
NavigationTarget
and
NavigationTarget=navurl://abd78e32mkf233nm892
What we need to do is, in the JSP, read this as
request.getParameter("NavigationTarget")
and check whether the user hit the same TAB in the DLN menu with
navurl://
and write the logic as we need.
Thanks for all. -
How to disable a default selection checkbox in the tableview
Hi All,
How to disable a default selection checkbox in the tableview ???
I have a tableview with a iterator class mentioned on the iterator attribute of the table view. Table is a MULTISELECT tableview . Is it possible to disable or make it invisible a particular row selection check box?.
For my scenario I have Currency values on all the columns and I want to do a sub total overall total for all the price column fields in the last row of that table. I archived this functionality using Iterator class method. But I don't want the user to delete that last row in any case.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Thanks,
GreetsonHi,
You can NOT disable the "Checkbox" of particular row using HTMLB. I had the same requirement. I achieved using <b>2 Tableviews</b>, one after another. 1st tableview will show all the rows and 2nd Tableview(without Table Header) and without any row. The <b>total</b> will be displayed as <b>Column title</b> of 2nd Tableview.
Here is the code of 2nd tableview which we used to display the Total:
<htmlb:tableView id = "tv2"
headerVisible = "false"
keyColumn = "appid"
footerVisible = "false"
selectionMode = "SINGLESELECT"
design = "ALTERNATING"
fillUpEmptyRows = "false"
visibleRowCount = "0"
width = "100%"
table = "<%= tot_header %>" >
<htmlb:tableViewColumns>
<htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "empno"
title = "Total"
width = "50"
type = "TEXT" >
</htmlb:tableViewColumn>
<htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "ename"
title = " * "
width = "90"
type = "TEXT" >
</htmlb:tableViewColumn>
<htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "appamount"
title = " <%= tot_appamt %> "
width = "60" >
</htmlb:tableViewColumn>
<htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "ugjr_amt"
width = "60"
title = "<%= tot_ugjr %>" >
</htmlb:tableViewColumn>
<htmlb:tableViewColumn columnName = "apprvd"
width = "50"
title = "*" >
</htmlb:tableViewColumn>
</htmlb:tableViewColumns>
</htmlb:tableView>
Hope this will help you.

URGENT !! Capture the insert and select on database
Hi,
I need to capture the inserts and selects on the database.
What are the options available on 9i?
Thanks in advance!I don;t know how many times I've had to say this, but since I've had to say it to my boss, it bears repeating here:
The SPFILE makes absolutely zero, null, nought difference to whether or not something is changeable dynamically or not. Not one bit, one whit or one iota.
Parameters are as static or as dynamic as they were when init.oras rules the roost. Check in V$PARAMETER: if the thing says ISSYSMODIFIABLE is TRUE, then the parameter can be altered with an alter system command -and that's true whether you're using an init.ora or an spfile. If it says ISSYSMODIFIABLE=FALSE, then the parameter CANNOT be altered with an alter system command, and that's true whether you're using an init.ora or an spfile.
Now comes the subtlety: if you add SCOPE=SPFILE to your alter system command then you aren't actually altering the system at all. All you're doing is asking the instance to edit the spfile. So an alter system set db_block_size=67238 scope=spfile will work, because you're not actually asking to alter the current block size at all. You're merely asking the instance to do what you would otherwise have done with notepad or gedit to a traditional init.ora.
Only if you SCOPE=MEMORY is your alter system command actually trying to change the currently running instance.
Of course, the trouble starts when you miss off a SCOPE clause, because then you get SCOPE=BOTH, which means MEMORY+SPFILE. But try that on a parameter which is SYSMODIFIABLE=FALSE: it won't work, because the MEMORY bit trips over the fact that the parameter is not system (dynamically) modifiable. Which just goes to prove that the existence of an SPFILE changes ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about whether a parameter can be dynamically modified or not.
So no, the sentence "my database is using spfile and I have option to use alter system command" makes zero sense if, by it, you mean "I'm using an spfile so can I change things dynamically which I wouldn't be allowed to if I was stuck using a boring old init.ora"
The answer is always and forever, "NO"!
I blame a certain bouffant-haired so-called expert for first promulgating this myth that all parameters suddenly became dynamic in the presence of an spfile. It was never true when he wrote it. It isn't true now. It never will be true. It just happens to be the case that "alter system..scope=spfile" is Oracle's equivalent of "vi init.ora" as far as spfiles are concerned. -

For this I want to show the field form LFA1 that are NAME1,STRAS,ORT01,ORT02,PSTLZ,REGIO.
I already kept address text for that but it is not collecting full Address and is collecing one field extra like "Republic Of India".
Please any body send me the Coad for THIS .....
Advence Thnks.Types: begin of TY_LFA1,
NAME1 type LFA1-NAME1,
STRAS type LFA1- STRAS,
ORT01 type LFA1- ORT01,
ORT02 type LFA1-,
PSTLZ type LFA1- PSTLZ,
REGIO type LFA1- REGIO,
End of TY_LFA1.
Data: WA_LFA1 type TY_LFA1.
Parameter: lifnr TYPE lifnr.
Select NAME1 STRAS ORT01 ORT02 PSTLZ REGIO
into corresponding fields of WA_LFA1
from LFA1
Where Lifnr = Lifnr.
If you are already getting Lifnr from some where remove the parameter statement and replace the where condition with the corresponding WA holding the lifnr value.
Now while calling your Smart Function Module.
add the WA in the Exporting part.
Eg:
CALL FUNCTION FM_NAME
EXPORTING
wa_lifnr = wa_lifnr.
