Capture username without using audit

is there a way i can capture the username of the user transacting to a certain table by creating trigger to the table and records all inserts/delete/updates on another table.. The two table will be of same fields except that the other table that will record all activity have one additonal field that is username...Please help..
thanks

we only need to monitor one table. since we have limited disk space in our server. We are thinking for other way, so that we can get all DML done by user to the table and copy the same record content to back up table by trigger. Our problem now is how to get the userID? example if original table A has fields (item#,Description, customer, supplier, demandqty1, demandqt2,...) we will be creating table B with same fields except that table B has additonal field (user). for every delete, insert, update, that record will be saved to B. the problem there is how can we get what is the userID...
or you have other suggestion....

  • Capture IP without using X-Forwarded For

                      Hello Friends,
We are running a web-application that has a login on the very first page.
We want to capture the real IP addresses of all the customers that visit our application.
We have Cisco layer 3 Load balancer configured in a shared mode with Natting.
We are running IBM http server over Apache.
We proposed using "X-Forwarded For" header to capture client IP but were not allowed due to known vulneabilities associated with X-Forwarded for.
We want to capture client IPs for "http" and "https" without using "X-Fwd for".
Can someone kindly suggest if there is any alternate to it?
If yes then how to implement it?

Hi Vivek, adding X forwarded method.to load balance policy. So that source ip address is added to HTTP header, is the only method. Unless the application itself does not request source ip add in the header. Which can be passed through the load balancer.

  • Capturing Attendance without using swipe machines

    Hi,
There is a challenge in using swipe machines with the clients. (The employees are working at Plants/Fields, they may not be able to come to office and swipe in/out.) As of now the employee only signs in the attendance register and his signature is considered as present.
How can we suggest capturing attendances to the client in such cases? One option could be the Time Administrator inputs in the excel sheet the in-time and out-time of the employee.
Question 1: Can we upload the attendance data through excel sheet? (Do we have to develop an ABAP program?)
Question 2: The time-administrators at various locations has to input the data before payroll run date. The payroll will be run centrally. How long does it take for the time administrators to update the data? How long does it to take to run payroll for employees around 2000 in number?

    Answer for Question 1:
you have 2 solutions to encounter this issue
1: Develop a BDC "using ABAP" to upload attendance in IT2002
2: Upload the excel using LSMW
    Answer for Question 2:
updating the excel sheet depends on the details that you will be capturing and how many employees.
i.e: if you are going to capture the basic needs for IT2002 for around 100 employees, i believe it won't take more than 5 hours for the whole month. but i would suggest this would be Weekly or daily basis.
regarding running the payroll for 2000 employees, if there is no errors i believe it would take from 10 min to 30 min.

  • Is there a way to store UserName entry without using LMS?

Is there a way to store UserName entry without using LMS? I'd like to create ID and password..seemingly like a registration form in captivate..is this possible?

If you're not talking about storing form field data in some external database (such as an LMS) then your next best option is to store it on the users machine as cookie data.
However, Captivate doesn't provide such a mechanism out of the box.  Neither can you do it via Advanced Actions (though that would be an excellent enhancement to AA for Cp6).
It's more the sort of thing that Captivate widgets were designed to do.

  • Capture context change without using UDF

    Hi,
I need to find context change of a field without using UDF.
I know we can do it in an UDF by comparing with ResultList.CC.
But do we have any graphical constant that notifies a context change?
    regards,
    Piyush

    Hi,
There is no graphical constant by which you can identify a context change without using UDF. However, if you leave the context of the field at the level of the immediate parent and map accordingly, you can handle the contexts directly in your GUI mapping. This however would also depend on your mapping requirements.

  • I lost my iPhone device, how can I get my data back on another one without using an iCloud backup just back up on i Tunes, Please Help.

I lost my iPhone device, how can I get my data back on another one without using an iCloud backup just back up on i Tunes, Please Help.??

You can find the backup files and then copy them to a safe place if you are worrying about this.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
The "~" represents your Home folder. If you don't see Library in your Home folder, hold Option and click the Go menu.
    Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then press Return.
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, then choose Run. In the search bar, type %appdata%, then click OK.

  • Detecting Video Capture Devices without Installing JMF

    Hi All,
I want to detect the video capture devices, without installing the JMF.
I had included the jmf (windows version) in lib path in netbeans ide. I am able to detect the audio capture device. But unable to detect the video capture devices. But if I install the JMF, I am able to detect the Video Capture devices in My system. Can anyone help me?
    Thanks,
    Vinoth Kumar.

YES! Please take a look at SIP Communicator project. They have all what u want.
The main idea is copy all .dll files to System or System32 (Please check files which JMF will copy to ur computer and where).
U need to have jmf.jar and sound.jar too ( maybe more) in your computer.
Your program should have DirectSoundAuto.java, JavaSoundAuto.java, JavaSoundDetector.java, JMFInit.java. Those files are in JMStudio source code. They are used to detect all capture devices and register it to JMF, but wait !!! where they will be saved? In order to save information about capture devices which are detected, you should create "jmf.properties" file in the same location with jmf.jar.Therefore, u should modify the JMFInit.java so it can check if the "jmf.properties" exists. If it's not, you have to create it.
Check SIP Communicator at Folder "media" then "device". They have modified those files I mentioned above and created some new files to SC can detect more devices.

  • Is it possible to force 16/32-bit stack alignment without using the optimizer?

The compiler emits code targeted at the classic Pentium architecture for the -m32 memory model.  I'm running into problems mixing Sun Studio compiled code with code built with other compilers because the other compiler builds under the assumption that the stack is 16-byte aligned.
The only way I've found to force Sun Studio to comply with that restriction is with -xarch={sse2a,sse3,...}, but this causes the code to pass through the optimizer.  As noted in the documentation, if you want to avoid optimizations you must remove all flags that imply optimizations -- that is to say, there's no way to disable optimizations once enabled.  This should not, however, be treated as an optimization because it's an ABI requirement.
I've scoured the documentation, spent many hours googling, digging through forums, and asking questions.
The best I've come up with is the -xarch option which is sub-optimal because it has side effects.  I tried -xchip=pentium4 (this is what my other compilers have set as their default target), but the generated code doesn't force 16-byte stack alignment.
Is there a way to force the compiler to emit code conforming to a different ABI without using the optimizer?
    -Brian

    Thank you for your response.
I hope you won't mind my asking: do you have a way to prove that it's not possible to force 16-byte alignment without using the optimizer?  I ask because your username / profile don't give the impression you work for Oracle, so while I think you're probably right it's at least possible that we're both mistaken.  I haven't been able to find any documentation on either stack alignment or altering the targeted ABI short of using the -xarch flag, and even there the details are fairly sketchy.

  • I am brand new to the Ipad.  I can't use ICloud unless I upgrade my 10.5 Leopard.  Is there a way to sync documents created in Pages to the IPad without using ICloud?

Hello.  I am a newbie to the Ipad.  I am currently working with an OS 10.5 Leopard MAC.  I understand that in order to use ICloud I would need to purchase OSX Snow Leopard and OSX Lion.  I am attempting to avoid the expense and to the extent possible sync my IPad with my MAC.  I have created documents on my MAC in pages.  Is there a way to have access to those documents on the IPad without using ICloud.
A second question concerns web browsing, sometimes you'll open up a page or image and not know how to go back to the previous page. So do I just close and reopen safari altogether or is there another way to get to the previous page.
Thanks for any guidance you can provide.

Actually you can use iCloud with the Mac running OS X 10.5.8. You don't sync the documents - you upload to or download them from iCloud.
You can open a browser on your Mac - Safari is preferred - log into icloud.com, enter your username and password, click on the iWorks icon, click on the Pages section at the top - and then you can drag documents into the browser window to upload files - and you can select a file in the cloud to download to the Mac. I do this on my iMac at work running Tiger 10.4.11. It's kind of slow - and you will get a warning that you may be using a supported browser - but it works.
In any event, you can use iOS file sharing to send the Pages docs to your iPad. you have to connect to the Mac and do this via iTunes.
iWork for iOS: About iTunes File Sharing
Just tap the arrows in the toolbar in Safari to go back and forth. You can open multiple pages using tabs. tap on the + sign to add another tab in Safari.

  • A definitive answer? : Can you use Audition on a Mac??!

I have heard all sorts of conflicting views on this and I thought someone here would be able to set the record straight! I wanted to get a Mac, because I like them, but I use Audition all the time for my work. Is a Mac a good idea? If not, could anyone recommend the best sort of laptop to get if you're going to be doing a lot of audio editing (for radio).
    Thanks a lot!
    Rachel

Hey - I've just signed up to get the benefit of the experience & wisdom of audio experts. It looks like I can expect plenty of that so thank you in advance.
From this thread, seems like I can also get some opinion without much basis in fact and outright paranioa too. Just an observation and not a criticism - I have my own foibles to bring to the party too  ;-)
    here's some facts from me.
I run and work in an environment of mixed Windows and Macs - initially, around 30 Windows audio workstations and a handful of Macs. I've been here since the days of analogue tape; my first audio editor was Cool Edit on Windows 3.11.
The cheaper purchase price of the Win machines is soon offest by the much higher cost of maintenance, repair and replacement. Windows workstations need replacing after 3 years - some of them will have broken beyond repair in that time. The Macs are on a five year replacement program - but they often run longer than that. Yes, Macs break down but nowhere near as much as the Win PCs. This is true for towers and laptops. I refuse to buy any more Win laptops as even the best brands fail so quickly. I now by mac laptops and often they're used in Windows only. Last year we replaced 20 Win workstations with dual boot Macs so we now use both OS's side by side. We only still run Windows because Audition is our audio tool of choice.
Macs do not get viruses. Period. We have no virus or malware protection measures on the Mac side and we have no problems. Zero. We've had massive virus issues on the Windows side, particularly spread by USB memory sticks. With later versions of XP and now 7, it's got a lot better but we still have to run extra software (that slows down performance) on Windows and spend a lot of time updating definitions etc. This is a high cost and should be factored into cost considerations.
Macs are suspecptible to trojans of course - but not as much as Win. There are simply fewer of them and the OS is implemented in an inherently more secure way. That said, if some plonker is going to open dodgy email attachments or going clicking around 'exotic' websites, then they are effectively inviting the vampire over the threshold- whatever the OS and hardware! But Macs do not 'catch' viruses like Windows.
I've been running Audition on my Mac laptops for years under emulation and straight Windows - since Windows 98 SP2. I'm writing this on a five year old MacBook Pro - it's a laptop and it gets hammered and carried everywhere daily in a tatty padded bag. On it I run Audition 1.5 under Parallels (XP), happily getting sound in and out, using a variety of internal and external sound cards (FW & USB). There was once a problem with an M-Audio driver but it was fixed next update and none since. As it's one of the earliest ones, it's maxed out at 2GB RAM and it has the standard 5200 rpm hard drive & 2.16 Core Duo (note: mine's not a Core 2 Duo, which is the current spec and much faster), so you can see it's way below the current models' spec. If I'm doing a big project in Audition with lots of resources running, I use a dedicated modern desktop computer, but for my day in,day out work, my old laptop copes well. I tried Audition 3 on it and it seemed to work ok but the licence was for another machine so I didn't test it in anger. Two people I know with recent Macbook Pros run Windows & Mac OS together and I'm amazed at the ease and speed of them. When my employer allows me, I hope to upgrade to one of those but as long as this old faithful keeps going, I've no chance.
If I had my personal choice it would be Mac all the way - not because it's perfect, but cos it's the better option. But I know and work with people whose knowledge and experience I respect who think the same about Windows. We get on well together.
BTW, the information from someone about one button mouses is a decade or more out of date. With my mac I use the trackpad (which gets 'right-clicks' & more) and often a two button+scroll wheel Microsoft mouse. If we're going to help each other out today, lets not talk ancient history.
I'm about to make more purchases for streaming audio on the web. I'll be installing Audition on these, of course. I'll probably be buying Windows computers to do this because the start budget is too small. But I'll expect to be replacing these in a couple of years and I know from experiecne they'll be less reliable than a Mac tower that would cost almost twice as much. That's a false economy and false efficiency in my view, but it's a strategic choice and it will work well till it breaks.
To summarize, so far I've found no perfect solutions to computer based audio issues - all setups will have their problems. But it is both possible - and to me prefereable - to run Audition on current Macs. And while the initial purchase price of Mac options looks expensive, the total cost of ownership is probably at least equal if not less - but the experience along the way is much less troublesome, more productive and happier.
Enjoy your audio editing whatever it's on.

VC6. is rather old, but you can try to convert the VC6 project using the upgrade wizard of VC2012. Depending on the content of the project your code will work more or less without problems, at least it will compile without errors.
You could also go the 2nd way and create in VC2012 a project type using the wizard that is very similar to your current VC6 projcet (MDI, SDI, Dialog Based, ...). Than you replace the files generated by the wizard with the content of your project. Sometimes
    this way is more successful.
But at all the automated converting success depends on the code of your VC6 project. I had both, conversions without big problems and also conversions that need a lot changes to run on a current VC version.
    Best regards

  • Tuning query without using hint

    Hi,
i want to change the plan of a query without using hint.
Also i want to use the plan that hint generate in my original query.
    My db is a 11g.
    How can i do this?
    tnx

You can use SQL Plan Manager. You might find this interesting:
    http://blogs.oracle.com/optimizer/entry/what_should_i_do_with_old_hints_in_my_workload
The link above basically suggests these steps:
    1. Run the query with the hints, then
    2. Take the plan from #1 and associate its SQL plan baseline with the query with no hints
    3. Remove the hints for that query in the code and start capturing and evolving plans for the un-hinted query
