I am not able to capture license details in J1ilic01 with the Ship to party and Sold to Party code. This case is for customer created in Deemed Export category.

In J1ILIC01, please prefix the sold-to party and ship-to party with ZEROS. This will solve your problem.

Hi Pratheeviraj
You cannot "capture" information in the PLD. The PLD is a reporting feature that allows for changing layouts. Therefore the information the PLD will use, must be defined already in the system and be available to the PLD. I am assuming that you mean you want to add extra information in the layout, if this is so, you can add fields to the layout that are of type database and link to the necessary fields.
The fields will only work if they can relate to another field in the same area. For example, if you have an item code as a field in the rows, then adding the manufacturer from the OITM table will be possible as it will relate to the item code.
My only question will be what the manufacturer and vendor information is that you are referring to. Is this information in standard SAP fields, or user defined fields, or user tables?
Let me know what the source of this information is and we can guide you better on adding them to the PLD layout.

Registering products without the license details

I have a numbet of Adobe products - cs5 and 6 - on my pc and would like to register them but I have no license details installation keys etc. I think I need this to enable me to move my products on to a new pc.

How to Find my CUCM License Details

After a company split, a second split, and then a company buyout, we are left with a running CUCM phone system. The guys that put it together are long gone. So I am unsure what the CUCM license is good for. This makes me nervous.
In CUCM, I can see we have 700 units and using 300. What else can I ascertain about the license? I have the login for the Pub CLI, if that helps. I'm mostly concerned that we could find out that we are losing the license and we have to pay for a new license or lose phone service, if say, someone in one of the other companies also installs the same license.
Who originally paid for it?
Who now owns it?
How long is it good for?
etc.
Is there a 'list license details" or something that gives me all this info?

You can't find anything related to who paid and who owns from the server, get in touch with whoever placed the order, or moved the licenses, sold the company, etc. That's the kind of info only whoever was involved in the deals would know.
Licenses are tied to a MAC address, you can't just move and swap them around freely without involving Cisco to change that MAC.
It's good for eternity, or when you do a major upgrade (at least for the SW feature licenses on that version), there's no time period associated to it as long as you keep on the same major version..

Capture Excise License through transaction J1ILIC01

Dear All,
When I am trying to create an excise license with license type CT3 (Quan. ment. NONE and desc - CT3 quantity based) and series group-domestic, creation date from today till end of next mth.
Problem comes when i enter ship to and sold to party of Deemed export sales area.
The system gives an error message "Enter valid Ship-to-party/Sold-to-party - Message no. 8I000".
Can anybody give me a solution to this problem.

Captured Image missing HAl details

One of our Windows 7 images has been captured using imagex and then added to WDS. When we go to deploy it, it doesnt show up on the list. After looking at the properites of time .wim it has no hal type, is this why its not showing up?
If i do an imagex /info this is what I get

According to my previous experience, HAL does not exist in Windows 7, I think the issue is elsewhere. This issue may be related to the X86 or X64 booting.

Licensing Details

I don't really understand the terms of DB XML Licence exposed here http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/berkeley-db/htdocs/licensing.html on the precise following point : "license permits you to use Berkeley DB, Berkeley DB Java Edition or Berkeley DB XML at no charge under the condition that if you use the software in an application you redistribute, the complete source code for your application must be available and freely redistributable under reasonable conditions".
Here are my several points :
- Regarding DB XML licence here http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/berkeley-db/htdocs/xmloslicense.html, the Apache Software License is used. Apache licence, as well as LGPL for example allow to package closed source software so why should we release the complete source code of distributed applications based on DB XML ? What we must do is to display the copyright but the Apache licence allows binary form distribution.
- Oracle also recognizes the common open source licenses, including the GPL and the BSD license, as open source licenses. So, as GPL 3 is compliant with LGPL 3, why can't we release an opensource project based on LGPL 3 ? The LGPL software must inform users that a GPL software is included and that they must take into account the related underlying rules but the 2 software can be packaged.
- Contrary to the LGPL, GPL doesn't allow to package closed source code but we can very well distribute closed source plugins as a separate distribution. Here again, that does not match with the necessity to release source code.
On my side, i would like to distribute 2 types of application. First one is LGPL opensource based on others LGPL and BSD software. Second is a free closed source software. That's why i try to understand the whole Oracle speaking on this page.

Before I start I should state for the record (as always), IANAL, but that I have a good idea what a lawyer might say and what precedents in these regards we (Sleepycat/Oracle) have established in the past.
This question depends on what API/services you expose with your server. As I said in an earlier post (and won't repeat here for brevity sake) we borrow the GPLv2's definitions for things like 'redistribution'. Redistribution over a network connection of storage services that utilize Berkeley DB products, such as OpenLDAP (which is open source), fall under the Sleepycat License. This is because OpenLDAP does not expose the DB APIs directly, but rather it exposes the LDAP network APIs and provides LDAP services to network clients.
We ship an RPC layer with Berkeley DB (not XML). If you were to setup a server that exposes the DB API as-is using RPC lets say as a "cloud storage service" then that would fall outside of the allowable definitions and precedents we've established to date with DB. The reason, you're exposing the DB API directly and offering the DB service as your network service. The "use" then extends to the client over the network and there for that client should abide by the terms and conditions of the Sleepycat License. Again, with OpenLDAP as the example this is not the case. Another example is memcachedb which is a borderline case. It exposes some of the DB API, the replication manager, but not all. This is technically a bit over the line by our definition, but allowable because the layer above DB is a specific design (akin to memcache) for a singular purpose close, but not identical to DB. Really, memcachedb is an easy caching solution that uses DB and covers up a lot of the details of DB. I know this is a bit fuzzy which is why I suggest that you chat with your lawyer to be sure. These are guidelines, not absolutes.
So, if you write an open source service that exports an network interface that doesn't exactly duplicate the Berkeley DB XML APIs, but uses Berkeley DB XML as the storage/query engine behind your own APIs you fall within the bounds of the Sleepycat License so long as your application's code is also available for download and licensed under a reasonable (OSI approved) open source license.
Your specific question relates to our requirement that your code, under the Sleepycat License, be made available to others in some reasonable manner (i.e. download from SourceForge, your site, or where ever on the web, or even by CDROM so long as it's obvious how to obtain that CDROM and that the price to obtain it is no more than the cost of media and shipping). So, "accompanying software that uses the DB software" is your code. Again, using the OpenLDAP example, it is the OpenLDAP code that is the "accompanying software".
Network based clients that communicate with open source projects using Berkeley DB XML under the Sleepycat License are not required to also adhere to the terms of the Sleepycat License.
Once again, for the record, IANAL. Does this make sense and answer the question?

Finding License details for dreamweaver 2004 education

Where to check license details - ASR 1000 firewall
