Capturing the standard Messages / Exceptions

Dear All,
I have a field in my application which consist of list of values and and when the user enters the value in the field which is not there in the Possible list of values the application will show the Error as The value entered is not in the possible list of values.This is the standard message i am getting it and i wanna to capture the message in some variable. How can i do that and from where i am getting this error message.

Hi...
Every message have some parametes associated with that like msgid, msgty, msgno.
As any exception will occur these values will come in following parameters sy-msgid, sy-msgty, sy-msgno. Get these values in the variable in the following way And You can use it anywhere.
data: lv_errornumber TYPE symsgno,
lv_msgid type symsgid.
lv_errornumber = sy-msgno.
lv_msgid = sy-msgid.
msgid contains the message class name.
After getting msgid go to transaction SE91 Enter the classname You will get all the messages of that class.

Hi Ramakrishna,
Once you create the session, Process the session using
the report RSBDCSUB using submit statement.
It would list out the erroneous records.
Hence, while submitting, just say submit RSBDCSUB in background and export output list to memory.,
Then you can retrieve the list from memory using the FM LIST_FROM_MEMORY into the internal table and finally send the email by the fm you have already mentioned.

Keys for the Standard Messages

In the tutorials we find the example to Customizing a Standard Validator Message, and we can see a table of Keys for the Standard Messages, my question is, where can i find a table with all messages displayed including the Message Alert?, especifically one like this:
System Messages
Error Invalid cursor position

rename defaulttheme.jar > defaulttheme.zip
copy messages.properties file to a directory
copy and rename this file eg: messages_hu_HU.properties
after that you can open and edit this files in Creator
finaly copy back this files to the defaulttheme.zip and rename > defaulttheme.jar

There is no know issue like this; have you installed any Preware apps? Have you tried restarting your device from Device Info, Reset Options, and Restart? I would try this first; but you may have to go the next step and Erase Apps & Data. This would delete all PIM data and apps off you device, and then you would have to reload from your backup data. This however will also delete all text messages on the device, and there is no way to restore them. The last step would be to run webOS doctor on the device to restore or repair the operating system. You can get this application from www.palm.com/rom, enter your serial number and follow the steps on this web page.

How to capture the exact SQL exception for failure to connect to database

Hi, i would like to capture the exact exception for failure to connect to a Oracle 9i database (via JDBC). I learnt that there is specific code or exception that can be captured, so that a more proper error message can be thrown out like "Failure to connect to database" can be displayed. Anyone know how to go about doing it? thanks

That depends on your database vendor, I believe. (Unless there's a SQL standard for states and codes that I'm unaware of.)
Personally, I wouldn't worry about "catching" a particular code. (You've already caught the exception - that's the best you can do.) I'd report the error code and state and just look up what it means when I got one.
Hopefully you won't be catching exceptions. They're supposed to be rare. - MOD

L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU : Block the standard message

Hi ,
I am using the FM 'L_TO_CREATE_MOVE_SU' which simulates the functionality of LT09 transaction ( This FM only simulates LT09 transaction , TO is not created ) although I get the message that the Transfer order no XXXX is created .
This message is just a virtual message as the TO is not yet created.
Now I need to block this standard message which is coming from the FM as after running this FM their is some coding that I need to do .
Tried checking the Sy-subrc value just after the FM but the message come before that even.

Capturing the errro message written to stderr by a 'C' binary ..

Hi Fello Developers,
I've tried using Runtime.exec to execute a 'C' binary from Java.
I am getting the normal output written by the 'C' binary to STDOUT.
I am using process.getInputStream(); to read the output returned by the 'C' binary.
But when the 'C' binary is written the error messages to stderr, I am unable to capture them through process.getInputStream();
Can some one help in this regard ?

Capturing the Response message and sending to two diffrent systems

Hi Experts,
My Scenario is -
Legacy->PI-> SOAP
Legacy System Supports SOAP call and sync calls. Now my requirement is how can I send the response received from the target SOAP system to the actual sender as well as to another ECC system?
In this case ECC will not trigger any request message, it will only receive the response message from SOAP system.

Hi,
Another way, but a bit more resource intensive, is to use ccBPM, use an sync/async bridge and route the response message back to the caller but also send it to an extra receiver.

In iOS8, my third party keyboards are working with every app except for the standard "Messages" app. How do I fix this issue?

I recently updated to iOS8 and downloaded a few third party keyboards. These keyboards are usable and available with all apps except for the "Messages" app. The third party keyboards don't even show up as an option while typing a text message or an iMessage. I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!

I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

Capturing the Message on the Login Page (Invalid user/password expired etc.

Hi, I have a requirment for capturing the error message on the Login page if the User's Account is expired or Account is Disabled or Invalid credentials, Password Lockout etc.

No standard message displayed in the new custom form

Hi All,
I developed a new custom form for FA module using Template.fmb. It is not showing any standard messages such as "Transaction complete: 1 records applied and saved". The records are getting saved. I even tried setting in when-new-form-instance ":SYSTEM.MESSAGE_LEVEL := 0" but that too didn't work out.
Please help on how to display the standard message. Please let me know if I am not clear with my question

Can we modify the standard AOL Message with custom Message in Seeded Page?

I have a requirement to change AOL Message with custom Message in Seeded Page.
In a seeded OAF page when a user clicks on a submit button a standard AOL Processing Message is populated.
I Need to change the Standard Message and call Custom Message.
Did controller extension and found that both the messages are populating.
called the code after super and tried to call before super also.
Did any one face this issue and resolved it. Kindly provide the solution.

Unable to retreive the fault message returned by web service

Hi,
We are working on Proxy to SOAP synchronous scenario. The WSDL provided by the third party has 3 messages - 1. for request structure, 2. response structure and 3. Error message to track the exceptions, if any. The interface working fine for positive test cases but we are facing issues when trying to capture the error message returned by the web service.
We have configured the error message(provided in WSDL) as fault message in our Inbound interface. In the outbound interface, we have configured standard Fault message type provided by XI. we have mapped the two structure.
Now when error is returned by the web service, we are able to see the blank response structure in the payload in MONI in XI. Also the SOAP Error Message structure is there in XI.
But when we trying to retrieve the same in our proxy, it is giving the blank structure.
Please help how to get the error message returned by the web service in proxy....

You are consuming the third party webservice. Third party webservice WSDL has request, response and fault message. if the third party application logic capture the exception and pass the response as fault mesg, then the above specified target fault mesg mapping with your Standard fault message mapping will be sent to sender or client proxy.
Suggestions:
Having fault message in WSDL does not mean that target system sends fault message during application exception. Check in the SXMB_MONI whether your response during exception is occuring in the fault message structure publised as WSDL. If not then doing mapping will not help. It gives only blank.
If you notice response in fault message structure from third party in SXMB_MONI, then you need to check that at the client proxy side, are you handling/done coding for fault message methods similar to response strucutre for capturing data.

CUWL Standard Messaging - user assignment

Hi All,
I have CUWL Standard Messaging : 25 license. I am trying to find about how to associate the voicemail user so that that we can use the CUWL messaging. As I know in the CUCM, we can associate device with "owner user ID" in order to use the CUWL license (1 CUWL = 10 device). I think on the Unity Connection have the same criteria like the CUCM, so if I have 25 CUWL messaging, I have 250 users that can associate to unity connection.
I also attached the capture of ELM. Please kindly help me solve my problem.

Hi Taufik,
In this licensing model the "Standard Messaging License" breaks down
as follows;
1 License = 1 User = 1 Mailbox
not a 1 License to 10 mailboxes ratio This is why you are
seeing a -54 in ELM mailbox licensing.
And for Devices the CUWL License is for up to 10 devices
for a single user not really 10 devices for 10 different users.
