Car Chargers

I have two Backberry car chargers.  One is a RIM7250VPC.  The other is a Model No. PSD05-050Q, Output DC 5V 500mA, Input 12/24V.
Can I use them with my Motorola w755 phones?  They have the same type mini-USB connection.
I can't seem to be able to get a definitive answer from anyone.

are these two chargers designed to charge a Blackberry that can be charged with USB on a computer ?
can your Motorola w755 be charged with the USB port of a computer ?
if yes and yes, then you can use them for your Motorola.

  • Third Party Wall and Car Chargers for ZV

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the third-party wall and car chargers that are available on Ebay? I just purchased a Vision: M yesterday and was wondering if I should purchase a bundle pack off of Ebay with a case, chargers, TV cables, and sync cable? Or if I should only purchase the skins off Ebay and get a genuine Creative charger? I love the unit already (I have been a Creative customer for 6 years) but fi've hours via USB is too long a charge cycle for me...
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,

encase makes a combo unit. can be used with USB port, with cigar lighter in vehicle, or 120V wall plug. Quality stuff!

  • What's up with iPhone 3G car chargers?

I have two different car chargers that work fine with my 32 gig iPod Touch and other iPods. However when I hook them up to my new iPhone 3G I get a message that says the charger is incompatible with the iPhone 3G and will not charge it. It appears that the iPhone 3G requires a special car charger. BTW, I have not experienced this with the AC charger or (of course) the USB to Mac charger.
Have any of you experienced this and if so I would love to hear your input.

Charging via FireWire with older iPods was popular with car charger manufacturers - FireWire accepts 12V - straight from the car. When Apple removed FireWire charging, they kept with USB which is 5V. That requires car chargers to convert 12V to 5V. This costs money.

  • Torch will NOT charge with Wall or Car Chargers, only USB - what is the fix?

About 3 days ago, my Torch decided it no longer wants to work with ANY wall charger, or car charger for that matter.  I have been using it just fine for the past 6 months, and charging it just about every night, topping it off for a fresh charge for the morning.
Now, NO wall chargers work, simply no response.  The ONLY way I can charge is via the USB cable and my laptop.  This is VERY annoying and no one at the AT&T store seems to know what's going on.
I've tried all kinds of battery pulls and reboots - even upgraded to the latest software, downgraded back - NOTHING seems to be working!
What is the solution to this problem?  How can I get it to charge again in my wall and car chargers?

If the device (Blackberry phone) will recharge using the computer this means that the port on the device should be functioning properly.  The USB port on your computer puts out up to 500 ma at 5 Volts. The voltage regulator in the phone adjusts the power coming in to be in specs to charge the battery. The Blackberry charger is a 700 ma charger. The computer will take about 30% longer to charge the phone.
I have had the connectors on the chargers and car adabtors go defective from handling and use.  I have also had chargers fail. Since the phone can be recharged using the computer this tells me the fault has to be with the charging devices you have. Unfortunately these chargers are not serviceable. As for myself, over time I bought a number of spare chargers.
I would strongly suggest to try another charger. Maybe you can go in to a store that sells them and try another charger that they have in stock.
When buying or trying a charger, it would be best to get an original Blackberry charger. This guarantees the specifications will be exactly correct for your phone, and also for the electrical safety for your phone. It is also known that many of the universal chargers will not properly charge the Blackberry phone.

  • @tec Car Chargers

I bought one these car chargers.  It did not work so I sent it back to the retailer, who sent a replacement.  The replacement also doesn't work.  Nothing wrong with the 2 cars in which the charger was tried.  I also tried with an iPad, without success.  No problem charging  my phone/iPad via other accessories.
The @tec charger clearly states "Made for iPhone".
Checking on-line, it seems that there are widespread problems with 3rd party accessories like this, even when bearing the "Made for iPhone" logo, apparently after the introduction of iOS 7.
Is the brand I have no longer certified and useless?

  • I purchased an Ipad2 a few days ago and it will not charge using various car chargers. It connects but within a few minutes, it reads not charging. The car chargers work with the IPhone.

I purchased an ipad2 and it doesn't charge using any of the car chargers we use for the iPhone. It connects but then reads not charging.

I'm not surprised.  Most car outlets do not provide sufficient power for the iPad to charge, but will work fine with an iPhone.  Mine does the same thing.

  • Which car chargers (dual preferred) work with iPad 3?

As above, my car charger won't charge my new iPad (iPad 3), despite saying it is 2.1 amps.
Which car chargers (dual preferred) work with iPad 3?

I have one that is supposed to work.  Bought after a google search, FWIW.  Doesn't work.  Says it outputs 2.1amps.  The iPad says it does not charge with it.
I'm looking for experience with my question, not marketing.
Which car charger that people own and use here works with the new iPad?

  • HT1476 Hi I have an iphone 4 and have a number of car chargers which until recently all chared the phone ok, none now work but are ok with other makes of phone (using different USB leads).

All car chargers have recently stopped working, chargers are ok and various leads tried so can oly assume its something to do with the phone, any ideas please?

There is no iDevice limit for the number of iPods, iPads, and iPhones that can be synced with the same iTunes library and iTunes account on the same computer. iTunes creates and maintains a backup for each device, and each device can have its own sync preferences with iTunes - the same as another device synced with iTunes on the same computer, or completely or somewhat different, etc.
Every new iPhone model released since the original iPhone was released has been better in some or a number of aspects. It will probably be the same with the next iPhone model released - a safe bet to count on it to some extent at least, but what that is will be is anyone's guess at this point until Apple makes an announcement.

  • IPhone 4s going Haywire while using Car Chargers..

My iPhones 4s is going crazy while Charging in the car(via usb or AC). The touchscreen is unreponsive and it goes haywire when it responds.
Apple Store replaced my phone but the new one is also doing the same. I had my wife try hers and it also gets wacked out..
I have been a long time apple fan but i have been very dissapointed with all the problems my 1st iPhone has been giving us.
    Anyone else having this problem?

Have you or anyone found a solution to the iphone 4S repeated burn out of car chargers?  I have Audi A6 2010, with three outlets.  Also have 3 different iphone approved chargers (Belkin, Griffin and Amazon) that all will not work (light doesn't go on to show there is a connection) and my iphones show no charge.  At the beginning iphone said it did not support this charger, but after adjusting the tightness of the connection, it started charging.  However, short term only, now doesn't work  All chargers have burned out.  Is there a specific brand for iPhone 4S that will not burnout and continue to work?

  • Wall and Car Chargers?

Are there any reputable after market chargers for the iPad? Want a wall and car charger. Don't want cheap import crap. My iPod charger doesn't charge my iPad. I have the little white cube wall charger for my iPod touch. I haven't tried my car charger, don't want to fry my iPad.

  • Free bumper cases wont work with car chargers

Apple sent me a bumper and I tried it with a griffin car charger and it will not plug in as the cutout in the case is not large enough to fit the end of the cord. These have been around for a while and if you want to use them do not order the bumper. I called Apple and they stonewalled and said it was a third party item and they do not guarantee to work with them even though they sell them on their web site. They will not send out a case that works either. Typical I guess as Apple never makes a mistake.

I completely agree with the topic poster.
Let's think and not just knee jerk.
First, why did Jobs introduce the bumper right at the same roll out of the iP4? I mean isn't that odd to talk about cases like some side show pitchman along side a fine, new item like the 4?
Answer- he knew at that time the external antenna was susceptible to issues if held in the lower left corner.  The proof of that is his quote from the press conf. when, in addressing the issue, he said, "look we even show you where it is…x marks the spot." (as he referred to the antenna seam)
So, conclusion, issue was known and anticipated and admitted.
That brings us to the bumper. If they knew the issue and wanted to help ameliorate it, why not build a bumper that not only addresses the antenna but one that also allows maximum access to the charging opening, accommodating most chargers?
    Why risk further customer issues?
Apple is a hi-tech hardware design company with few if any peers.
You're telling me they couldn't figure this out, that they couldn't build in the "Dremeled" more accessible bumper bottom?
    Come on.
They blew it. That's the answer.  They are human and they rushed this "patch" with the supplier and blew it.
And in the middle of a fiasco (that's what the antenna issue became) they further alienate good customers, like the person initiating this topic and countless others no doubt, by not attending to a small yet critical issue with the bumper.
So, poster of this thread, you are right.
Others, yes there are alternatives but as a business owner myself I'd advise Apple not to alienate paying customers.
All that said… the iP4 is marvelous.
Get a case that's made correctly like I did and there is no issue at all with reception. In fact it is VASTLY improved for my usage.
That may not be the same for all and that's why we listen respectfully in this forum.
So we can be helpful.  Right?

  • Ebay Wall + Car Chargers + AV Ca

For under 20 bucks total. Is that credible and?can anyone who tried that product let me know if they work for ZVM?

I bought a set of generic car & wall chargers at Circuit City (not the same ones you have) and they didn't charge the 5G at all - but they didn't make it blow up either. They do work with my daughters Nano, so I gave them to her. As it has turned out I have not needed these chargers so I have not tried any others.
In short, my advice is to avoid the aggravation and just buy the apple ones.

  • Are car chargers bad for the iPod battery?

There are a lot of companies that sell iPod chargers that plug into your car's cig lighter to charge the battery. Do car charges mess up the batteries?

I don't know why they would. Many people use them on a daily basis and i haven't heard any complaints.

  • ITouch wall and car chargers

I used to have an iPod 30GB and had a wall Griffin wall/car charger. Is there really a big change with what iTouch requires? I have tried to charge the iTouch with the wall charger with no result. Just to know if I have to buy a new charger. Thanks
    Cecy

I still charge my iPod Touch with the charger that came from Apple, for my 60GB iPod Photo. I also use the same car charger that also was an FM transmitter from Griffin. Seems to work fine for my Touch, charges just fine on both.
