Cash Ledger Accounts to be Locked automatically

Hi Experts,
I want the Cash Ledger Accounts to be locked on a daily basis at midnight 2400 hours by the system automatically. Unless sufficient reason is there to book cash /bank postings on a back date with approval, all cash and Bank entries have to be made on current date only.
How Could I achieve this in SAP B1 2005.
Regards,
Sree.

Hi Guys,
I have a clue, I have gone to Chart of accounts --- selected Cash Account --- clicked on Account details button -
and I have given todays date in the Active From and To date fields.    By doing this I will be able to post entries on this Cash G/L only on todays date.
My Idea is if these two fields ie., From DAte and To Date field gets refreshed every time @ 2400 hrs with the system date, then my requirement gets fullfilled.
Cash Account will be active with the current date and no postings will be done on the cash account with later posting date. When ever requireed upon approval we can un check the Active tick box and again we can tick this check box.
Do anybody have any idea, how to refresh the Active From date and To date with the system date.
Thankyou.
Sree.

  • SYSTEM user's accounts get locks automatically

Oracle SYSTEM user's account gets lock automatically after every 4-5 days. I user to run following query which unlocks the account:
    SQL:\>ALTER USER system ACCOUNT UNLOCK;
How I can stop this happening? I am not able to alter profile for unlimited attempts also.
Is there any workout, please help me....

In my opinion, you should immediately find out who constantly tries to guess the password of system instead of making it possible for him to try that indefinitely without locking the account. That is like switching off the annoying alert sirene if someone constantly tries to break in.
    You should
    SQL> connect sys/oracle@prima as sysdba
    Connected.
    SQL> alter system set audit_trail=true scope=spfile;
    System altered.
    SQL> startup force

i brought an iphone 4 from my local cash converters but it is locked to the previous owner"s account how do i log in to mine ???

Return it and get your money back. There is no way past the activation lock. There is a very high probability that the device is stolen.
If they won't give you your money back, turn it over to the police.

  • In House Cash Accounts and general ledger account

can somebody please try to explain me how the booking look like for an internal payment with ihc? (bookings in ihc, general ledger.....)
maybe this question is a little bit silly: how could I imagine, how the subsidiray know that they have a claim/ debt vs. the in house bank? do they have an extra general ledger account for this or some other accounts anywhere else?
do you understand what I want to know?
    Thx in advance

    Hi
you will find your payment to or from the IHC center just like for any other bank posting - on the bank reconciliation accounts. So if you have an unmatched item here - something is wrong. You can choose to have special bank reconciliation accounts for the IHC payments if the company is also paying directly to external banks.
The important thing when entering the vendor invoices is thus that they are entered with the correct pmt instruction i.e. internal bank otherwise they will never be sent to the IHC center. If you receive customer payments from both the IHC and external banks - and you use different bank recon accounts - you thus need to find a way to distinguish these payments so they are cleared correctly when uploading bank statements.
    Hope this answered your question

  • Interest calculation on bank cash credit account

    Hi All
My requirement is to calculate interest on cash credit account in
bank . The interest is charged as for e.g 10% on any withdrawals above
10000 and 12% on any withdrawals above 15000 . Whre to set this limit ?
How will this cycle  be done and will it be posted to GLs by this interest
calculation run or can it be used just for information purpose to cross
check the interest calculated by the bank ?
    Please respond .

There are two defined interest calculation types in the SAP
    system.
    1. Balance interest calculation.
    2. Item interest calculation.
System defined variant for balance interest calculation type
is u2018Su2019 and item interest calculation type is u2018Pu2019. Balance
interest type calculation is used for G L Accounts. Item
interest type calculation is used for vendors and customers.
    To display all transaction codes:
    Go to t.code:SE16
    Table name: TSTC
Keep blank maximum number of hits.
Total transaction codes in SAP 70837.
The following steps are involved in interest calculation.
    1. Define interest calculation types (OB46)
    2. Prepare account balance interest calculation (OBAA)
    3. Define reference interest rate (OBAC)
    4. Define time dependent terms (OB81)
    5. Enter interest values (OB83)
    6. Creation of G L Accounts (FS00)
    7. Define automatic posting (OBV2)
    8. Entry for loan (F-02)
    9. Interest calculation run (F.52)

  • Difference in Cash Balance in Cash Journal and Cash GL Account

    dear friends,
Can somebody tell me the reason and solution to following problem -
    1. User entered on Cash Payment ( FBCJ ) entry for Vendor with TDS activated.
    2. Due to some mistake in amount , he reversed the same ( FB08 ) , however amount reversed in Cash GL and TDS GL was wrong / was not same as per original document.
    3. Since it give the rise to difference in balance of Cash as per GL Account and Cash Journal , we passed 2 more entries ,
    1. FBCJ  - Cash Receipt ( for differential amt )
                          Cash Journal .... Dr. ....
                                    To intermediate account
    2. F-02 - Journal entry - for differential amt.
                          Intermediate account .....
                                        To Cash GL Account
However still problem persists. Can anybody find out reason and solution for this.
    Thanks....

    Hi P S,
Firstly, In cash journal the entries flow FI-BL (Bank Accounting - Sub-module) to FI and gets updated in GL Account.  That is why in the GL master master record of cash journal account, you see the "Post automatically only" option ticked.
The solution for you problem is that
    1. First reverse the f-02 entry by fb08. This will reverse the entry which has effected only FI-GL.
    2. Go to cash journal wrong (original) entry (FBCJ) and select the entry and delete the transaction through delete icon on left hand bottom.
    3. This will reverse the entry in FI-GL.
    4. Pass fresh entry in FBCJ with correct amount.
Hope this will help you... Pls assign points if helpful.

    Vinay

  • Migration to new GL and usage of cash basis accounting

    Hi,
We are working in ECC6 enhancement pack 4 and are planning to migrate to new general ledger.
My understanding from note 1558185 is that since cash basis accounting requires the use of a parallel ledger, this functionality is available for new client with new installation in new GL and not not for existing client that are migrating to new GL.
Migration with scenario 4 5 7 8 is not yet adapted for cash basis ledger.
    Is this correct ?
    Kind Regards
    Sophie

I could not see anything in note which prevents to maintain on cash basis in note 1558185
Usually the ledger are maintained on based on different types of valuation like IFRS, US GAAP, UK GAAP and IAS etc.
Whereas, cash and accrual basis is the way of accounting. Nothing will be prevented to post journals using FB50L.
But, how will you restrict the accrual documents raised through the transaction codes other than FB40L.
Question: Does all other companies / organisations will follow the cash accounting in your industry?

  • *URGENT* Cash discount account configuration

    Hello SAP Gurus,
    We have the following requirement:
The business would like to update the GL account that is automatically posted when cash discounts are taken in the AP payment run.
Is there any functionality available in SAP to configure the cash discount account by company code or other org?
The only place I am aware of that this account is configured is through transaction OBXU and this appears to be a global setting (by world wide chart of accounts), so affects all geographies and vendor payments.
PS: Suitable points shall be rewarded.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sreeni.
    +91 99860 32960.

    Hi Sreeni,
when evere you are posting transactions in SAP, It will defnitely belongs to one company code only. so when system will calcualte cash discount based on the terms of specified in document. it will post the cash discount in to that company code.
hope it will clear your query.
it will be configured in OBXU only

  • Changing of reconcilation ledger account in vendor master

    Hi Sap Experts,
how to change Reconcilation ledger of a vendor and how would be the effect if i change this account in the middle of the financial year. How to carry forward the balance to the new recon account. Please help me to solve this.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards
    Kiran

    Hi Sarvendra,
please follow the snote at below,
    1710555 - SAP101 - change reconciliation account, adjustment entries
    Symptom
The reconciliation account has been changed in vendor / customer account master data.
The adjustment postings generated by SAPF101 / FAGL_CL_REGROUP do not change the balance of the old and new reconciliation account.
    Environment
    General Ledger
    Periodic Processing
    Closing
    Reproducing the Issue
Run SAPF101 / FAGL_CL_REGROUP to post adjustment entries on reconciliation accounts.
    Cause
The open items from the old reconciliation account should be allocated to the new reconciliation account using adjustment accounts.
    Resolution
Reconciliation account is changed in the master data of vendor or customer accounts (FK02, FD02) and the new open items will be posted to the new reconciliation account.
The open items from the old reconciliation account should be transferred to the new reconciliation account. As the reconciliation account can't be posted directly, the postings will be done on adjustment accounts.
This allocation is carried out automatically by the report SAPF101 / FAGL_CL_REGROUP. The report does not change the document itself, the old reconciliation account is stored in the original document like before.
The report also creates a posting to cancel this correction posting one day after year end / month end closing.
The adjustment accounts are defined in transaction OBBW (IMG Financial accounting  > Accounts Receivable and payable  > Business Transactions  > Closing > Regrouping  > Define adjustments accounts for changes reconciliation accounts).
The balance of the old reconciliation account will be set automatically to zero if all open items on this account are cleared.
As long as there are open items on this old reconciliation account, SAPF101 / FAGL_CL_REGROUP must be executed at year end to perform adjustment postings.
    Example:
    old reconciliation account:         140000
    new reconciliation account:       141000
    Customizing in OBBW:
Chart of Accounts    INT   Sample chart of accounts
Transaction            A00   Transfer postings: changed recon. acct
    reconciliation account          adjustment account
        140000                                  140001
        141000                                  140002
    - There are 3 open items (document 1-3) on the old reconciliation account.
    - The reconciliation account was changed and  2 new open items (document 4-5) are posted on the new reconciliation account.
    - Now the balance of documents 1-3 is shown on the old reconciliation account   and the balance of documents 4-5 is on the new reconciliation account:
Balance of open items on the old reconciliation account  140000:      200 EUR
Balance of open items on the new reconciliation account 141000:     -100 EUR
    - At year end  SAPF101 / FAGL_CL_REGROUP is executed. This report checks if there was a change in reconciliation account . The report takes the balance of documents 1-3 and posts this balance at year end from old reconciliation account to new reconciliation account . Because reconciliation account can't be posted directly, the postings are done on adjustment accounts.
Adjustment posting at year end (31.12.2011):
      140001       adjustment account- recon.acc.  140000                          -200 EUR
      140002       adjustment account - recon.acc.  141000                          200 EUR
Reversal of adjustment entry at the beginning of next month/year  (01.01.2012):
      140001   adjustment account- recon.acc  140000                               200 EUR
      140002  adjustment account - recon.acc  141000                              -200 EUR
Final balances on the involved accounts:
      140000   - old reconciliation account   :                                             200 EUR
      140001  - adjustment account for  140000:                                      -200 EUR
      141000  -  new reconcilation account  :                                            -100 EUR
      140002 - adjustment account for 141000:                                         200 EUR
    Best Regards,
