    Hi timo,
    Thanks for ur reply...
    we are using unbounded taskflow.
    In Controller class(page def file), we refered the class that implements PagePhaseListener
    The following override methods has created
      public void afterPhase(PagePhaseEvent pagePhaseEvent) {
    //In this area we used to read the session object file which is written and sent by another application(application to application navigate).
    If session object file exists,will allow the user to navigate into the requested page else will navigate in to login(security aspect).
      public void beforePhase(PagePhaseEvent pagePhaseEvent) {
    Is we used Controller class wrongly ???
    Is there any relationship with region controller???

  • Java.lang.AssertionError: Can not find generic method public abstract

    I just downloaded the JDev 11g and trying to test the JEE web app. Below is my install:
    JDeveloper 11g
    JEE Web Project
    EJB 3.0
    Steps taken:
    1. Created an entity bean from a table.
    2. Created a session facade
    3. Create sample Java client to use the facade (Right-click on the session facade, and choose New sample Java Client from the context menu)
    4. Run the session facade
    5. Run the Java client
    I got the following error.
    java.lang.AssertionError: Can not find generic method public abstract java.util.List<com.oracle.orm.model.ejb.persistence.Hosttags> queryHosttagsFindAll() in EJB Object
    I checked the methods in the beans and interfaces, they are all there. Any idea?
    Thanks.

    I have a customer that has this problem.
    We wrote me that:
    we got a java.lang.NoSuchMethodException while the method exist even in the generated (by WLS) stub.
    when we change the interface by putting a "list" instead of list <> then it works.
    hope it can help, but should be great know why.
    Regards
    Marco

  • Java.lang.NullPointerException ,can not get the olap sever instance

    hi,
    In step 4 of the olap connection wizard,I can't find any server instance.When I expand the folder,a message come out at the bottom of the form,'java.lang.NullPointerException'.
    Oracle9i database release 2
    Oracle9i jdeveloper 9.0.2.822
    Businness components version 9.0.2.7.94
    Thanks
    Luis

    In the 902 version the OLAP connection must be created from the BI Designer settings dialog by using the OLAP connection wizard.
    To connect to 901 OLAP server you must specify
    Try doing the following:
    - Launch the 'BI Designer Wizard' from the New Object gallery
    - When you get to the OLAP Data Source step of the wizard click on New to create a new OLAP Instance connection.
    - Ensure that in the connection wizard you can select an OLAP server instance and can test connecting to it successfully.
    - Now after the bi designer is created try doing 'New Crosstab' and see if you get the same error.
    Also please post OLAP/BI Beans specific questions to the Products > Developer Suite > BI Beans forum.

  • Issue with java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.sql.StructDescriptor

    Hi ,
    I'm creating a dbadapter for a custom API written in APPS schema -
    TYPE MISIPM_LOB IS RECORD (
    FILE_ID IPM_LOBS.FILE_ID%TYPE,
    FILE_NAME IPM_LOBS.LOB_NAME%TYPE );
    TYPE MISIPM_LOB_LIST IS TABLE OF MISIPM_LOB;
    PROCEDURE GET_FILE_ID_DETAILS(
    P_SOURCE_SYSTEM IN VARCHAR2,
    p_entity_value IN VARCHAR2,
    p_entity_code IN VARCHAR2,
    P_ORG_ID IN NUMBER,
    P_MISIPM_FILES_LIST OUT MISIPM_LOB_LIST,
    P_ERRCODE OUT VARCHAR2,
    P_ERRMESSAGE OUT VARCHAR2);
    From JDeveloper, there is a wrapper package is getting created and the compilation/deployment of this composite is also without any error.
    But when I run the composite, I'm surprisingly getting the below error -
    Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'GetAttachmentMetaData' failed due to: Interaction processing error. Error while processing the execution of the APPS.BPEL_GETATTACHMENTMETADATA1.XX_DELIVER_BLOB$GET_FILE_ API interaction. An error occurred while processing the interaction for invoking the APPS.BPEL_GETATTACHMENTMETADATA1.XX_DELIVER_BLOB$GET_FILE_ API. Cause: java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.sql.StructDescriptor Check to ensure that the XML containing parameter data matches the parameter definitions in the XSD. This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.
    I recreated the adapter multiple times within the composite and also tried to create a separate composite and all the cases the error message received was same. There two more similar procedure call's in the composite and all rest of them are working fine.
    I can call the wrapper from sql script separately.
    Verified that the XSD generated and the wrapper package parameters are matching as well.
    Did anyone face the same issue or any explanation/help is much appreciated.

  • Java.lang.ClassCastException:java.lang.Double

    Hi Dr,
    I followed your suggestion, but there was no casting to double in the JSP code, so I looked at the database and found 3 columns inadvertently created as "double default null" when the MSAccess mdb was exported to MySQL.
    I modified the database to make those columns text, and now the compiler does not throw the error.
    I'm still unclear why the error was thrown.

    which seems to be rather vague, and offers no clue as to what caused the problem. so, my question is, what could cause this error?
    these are the compiler options we use in the build file:
    <java jar="${flex.compc.jar}" dir="." fork="true" failonerror="true">
          <jvmarg value="-Xmx512m" />
          <arg line="@{options} ${_compc.libpath} ${_compc.externspath} ${_compc.includespath}" />
          <arg value="+flexlib=${flex.frameworks.dir}" />
          <arg value="-load-config=@{config}" />
          <arg value="-source-path=@{src.dir}" />
          <arg value="-include-sources=@{src.dir}" />
          <arg value="-output=@{dest}" />
          <arg value="-swf-version=@{swf.version}"/>
          <arg value="-debug=${flash.debug}"/>
          <arg value="-advanced-telemetry"/>
    </java>
    assume that the properties resolve to correct values, since all projects (except one) call this task and compile successfully. the error must come from this one project that fails, but we don't know why.
    any ideas?

    You could be running out of memory, try increasing the -Xmx512m value to -Xmx1024m or another value that you prefer

    Hello
    I am getting java.lang.ClassCastException: oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLText cannot be cast to org.w3c.dom.Element error. This code is in java which is present in java embedding.
    The SOA is parsing the xml in java code using oracle.xml.parser.v2 . This wont be a problem if the SOA uses default w3c DOM parser. How do i force SOA to use w3c DOM parser.
    Is there any thing i can do with class loading?
    Kindly help.
    Regards

    Can you paste your java code here ? I assume, you must have tried type-casting.

    public class MyAggregator extends AbstractAggregator {

            super(IdentityExtractor.INSTANCE);
        protected Object finalizeResult(boolean isFinal) {

        protected void init(boolean isFinal) {
         // Initialize aggregators vars
        protected void process(Object value, boolean isFinal) {
            // Here we might access named caches using the cache factory to get entries related to the current one
            // i.e. If we are processing a product entry, we will go get from another cache the 'owner' (company entry)
    }To execute the aggregator, I'm using the InvocableMap.aggregate() method from the NamedCache get from the CacheFactory.getCache(). As filter, I'm using a simple EqualsFilter("getClass", type).
    All the caches that are used by this aggregator are cofigured using this schema (even those that are get within the process() method)

    Why coherence is trying to cast an extractor to an Aggregator? Which coherence component is using a ReflectionExtractor in my scenario? IMO, I'm using the InvocableMap API to execute a simple aggregator with an IdentityExtractor. Maybe getting others entries within the process() method are causing this? And if it is the case: how can I get others related entries within an aggregator? (I know the problem of getting entries within a Processor (for edition), but for agregation (for read only) this should be feasible right?
    Important info:
    * We are using Coherence 3.7 with the development license and the idea is to deploy the application in production with the standard licence
    * When there is only one single member in the cluster, the agregation works as expected.

    Adding coherence version
    Edited by: ggarciao.com on Mar 16, 2013 2:48 PM

    Hi,
    At the end of your post you say that when there is only a single member in the cluster that it works as expected so this could suggest you have a serialization issue. Do you have the same serializer configured everywhere? If you are using POF is the POF configuration correct and are the serializiation methods in your extractor correct?
    Another point - it is not a good idea to access other caches using Cachefactory.getCache() from inside the aggregator's process method. This would cause re-entrant calls - i.e. calls from one worker thread in the cache service to another worker thread and can cause either thread starvation and in the worst case can cause your cluster to deadlock due to running out of worker threads.
    You say in the code comments that the caches you want to get are to get related data - if you use key association to co-locate related data in other caches in the same cache service onto the same partition then there are more reliable and safer ways to get related data directly from the backing maps.
    If you are going to go down the route of accessing other caches directly you need to be very careful about what services those other caches are in and what code you execute against those caches.

  • BC4J/Struts java.lang.ClassCastException in UpdateAction

    Dear reader,
    I am facing a problem that I can't address. I have an entity object named 'Employee' and on the password field, there is one validation rule (a method, which checks if the passwords length is between 6 and 12 characters). I have a view called 'EmployeeView' for this entity.
    I have a jsp page, where a form can be used to update an Employee's data (using an update-action servlet). This all works fine if there is no validation rule on one of the fields (as is on password), as soon as the user fills in let's say a too short password, in UpdateAction this line causes an ClassCastException.
    oracle.jbo.html.struts11.actions.UpdateAction.execute(UpdateAction.java:85)
    The source-line it goes wrong:
    ApplicationConfig appConfig = (ApplicationConfig) request.getAttribute(Action.APPLICATION_KEY);
    Apparently it is not set then... But it works fine if the password is filled in within the range of the rule.
    Does anyone have any idea why this is caused? Am I missing something vital? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanx a lot for your time.
    Regards,
    Martijn

    Take a look at the stack trace, it shows you exactly where the error is coming from:
    java.lang.ClassCastException: org.theclass.candidate.view.SearchForm
    org.theclass.candidate.view.CandidateListAction.execute(CandidateListAction.java:41)Line 41 in your CandidateListAction.
    Probably it is failing on a cast of your action form.
    Taking a closer look at your struts-config, you are "chaining" actions.
    Your AddCandidateAction uses the candidateForm, and forwards to CandidateListAction.do
    Your CandidateListAction uses the searchForm.
    That will be the cause of your class cast exception.

    Solutions?
    - don't chain actions ;-)
    - use the same action form for both actions (possible?)
    - make the actionForward a "redirect" one. That means a new request, and losing any request parameters/attributes but should prevent this class cast exception.

  • Java.lang.ClassCastException: ...ViewImpl after tomcat stop/start

    All:
    After a tomcat restart (via the manager app /manager/stop?path=/<app> and /manager/start?path=/<app>) we are receiving a CallCastException on a BC4J view object. (Full stack trace beloew)
    We had previously fixed this by copying:
    bc4jmtejb.jar
    bc4jct.jar
    bc4jctejb.jar
    bc4jmt.jar
    From the <tomcat>/shared/lib directory into the <tomcat>/webapps/<app>/WEB-INF/lib directory. The problem is now that this causes grief with another view object that is used within a tiles environment.
    We have strong desires to be able to stop and start the webapplication via the tomcat manager application, but these ClassCasts are causing issues.
    Any thoughts/resolutions?

    Still a little confused. Sorry, that's just me.
    If I want to use a setter/getter from a VO that is specific to the application. Say getDescription from BookVO, I would have to type cast a VO that is returned through a call to getApplicationModule():
    import com.company.test.model.books.common.BooksAM;
    import com.company.test.model.books.common.BooksVO;
    import com.company.test.model.books.common.BooksVORow;
    BindingContext myctx = actionContext.getBindingContext();
    DCDataControl mydc = myctx.findDataControl("BooksAMDataControl");
    BooksAM = (BooksAM) mydc.getApplicationModule();
    BooksVO bkVO = (BooksVO) myAM.findViewObject("BooksVO");
    BooksVORow bk = (BooksVORow) bkVO.first();
    String duh = bk.getDescription();
    Is this correct and compliant with the best practice to do a remote deploy? Or can I use the Impl classes here to do the type casting and declarations. (Perhaps my understanding of Java/J2EE is about to improve.)
    If this is correct then I have not been able to get to the ...common... package any other way than what I described.
    Thanks for your help.
