Java.lang.AssertionError: Can not find generic method public abstract

I just downloaded the JDev 11g and trying to test the JEE web app. Below is my install:
JDeveloper 11g
JEE Web Project
EJB 3.0
Steps taken:
1. Created an entity bean from a table.
2. Created a session facade
3. Create sample Java client to use the facade (Right-click on the session facade, and choose New sample Java Client from the context menu)
4. Run the session facade
5. Run the Java client
I got the following error.
java.lang.AssertionError: Can not find generic method public abstract java.util.List<com.oracle.orm.model.ejb.persistence.Hosttags> queryHosttagsFindAll() in EJB Object
I checked the methods in the beans and interfaces, they are all there. Any idea?
Thanks.

I have a customer that has this problem.
We wrote me that:
we got a java.lang.NoSuchMethodException while the method exist even in the generated (by WLS) stub.
when we change the interface by putting a "list" instead of list <> then it works.
hope it can help, but should be great know why.
Regards
Marco

    Hi
    Are you using wli process control?
    That uses wsdl and could cause the issue.
    I also saw couple of internal bugs CR264315 and CR288904 on the same issue on 9.2.
    Since this is a wli issue could you post in the wli newsgroup to get more answers http://forums.bea.com/forum.jspa?forumID=2047 ?
    Also you can open a BEA support case at http://support.bea.com and an wli support engineer would help you. Please refer to the Cr numbers above in your support case.
    Thanks

    Problem invoking WLST - java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find the OffLine WLST class
    Edited by: user10213645 on Mar 9, 2010 3:37 PM

    There is an existing Bug 8431390 - WLST NOT WORKING IF WE USE NON-DEFAULT INSTALLATION (WL_HOME OUTSIDE BEA_HOME)
    As per this bug, the issue can be reproduced as follows:
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Install WLS 10.3GA (essex) kit in a non-default fashion (WL_HOME outside BEA_HOME)
    2. Go to ur $WL_HOME/common/bin directory and execute wlst.cmd
    3. It exits with the following exception:
    java.lang.RuntimeException:could not find the OffLine WLST class
    Hope this helps.

  • Java.lang.AssertionError: WSDL not found

    Hi,
    I am trying to run a process project in my Weblogic server. However, the deploy is failing with a "java.lang.AssertionError: WSDL not found in the class file" error message. But my process does not contain any WSDL file, nor uses any external webservices at all. It uses RPC to connect to a mainframe program. The class where the RPC definition resides is packed in a jar file, and the references are correct.
    The environment is Workshop 9.2.1.
    Does anyone have any clue about this issue? Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Francisco

  • Getting the error " [java] Problem invoking WLST - java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find the OffLine WLST class " while building the O2A 2.1.0 PIP

    Getting the error " [java] Problem invoking WLST - java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find the OffLine WLST class " while building the O2A 2.1.0 PIP. I am using the Design Studio 4.3.2 for building the O2A 2.1.0 PIP. Please let me know how to resolve this issue. Here I am enclosing the log file .

    We have basically the same issue when we try to create the interpreter using the embedded method..
    I was able to use the interpreter embedded in a java client as long as the weblogic jars were located in a weblogic install if I tried to use them from a maven repository no luck at all...
    All of this worked easily in 9.2 now in 10.3 it seems more error prone and less documented.
    I have seen close to a 100 posts on issues related to this so is there a document which outlines specifics....
    We / I have used weblogic now for almost 10 years and moving from 8.1 to 9.2 was painful and we expected the move from 9.2 to 10.3 not to be soo bad but its proving to be as painful if not more painful than moving to 9.2. We seem to spend a good bit of our time working around issues in the next new release that were not in the previous one..
    Any help would be appreciated I think we will open a support case but even that is more painful...
    Any help would be greatly appreciated..
    PS: We confirmed that all jars in the startweblogic classpath were in the startup. The server we have the embedded wlst instance is a managed server and we are using the component in a war... Are there any restrictions which we are unaware of.
    Error we get is
    1 [ERROR] com.tfn.autex.order.weblogic.QueueMaintenanceUtility.addQueue():217 Error Adding Queue wowsers JNDI Name wowsers Exception: Invocation Target exception while getting the WLSTOffLineScript path

    Now , i try to run the applet in a station(Windows XP) (in a network). I've installed the libraries "ezmodJava.dll" and "ezmod.dll" in C:\windows, but it doesn't work. I've put them in C:\windows\system and in C:\windows\system32 but no way. The last error i had IS :

    Any help will be appreciated. Thank you too much.

    on your computer you might have multiple copies of the dll. try temporarily renaming the dll...then run the program. if it runs, you know you have another copy somewhere. do a search and find the extra copy...rename it and run your program. your program should fail then and you will find which directory your program is looking in for the dll.

  • Java.lang.NullPointerException ,can not get the olap sever instance

    hi,
    In step 4 of the olap connection wizard,I can't find any server instance.When I expand the folder,a message come out at the bottom of the form,'java.lang.NullPointerException'.
    Oracle9i database release 2
    Oracle9i jdeveloper 9.0.2.822
    Businness components version 9.0.2.7.94
    Thanks
    Luis

    In the 902 version the OLAP connection must be created from the BI Designer settings dialog by using the OLAP connection wizard.
    To connect to 901 OLAP server you must specify
    Try doing the following:
    - Launch the 'BI Designer Wizard' from the New Object gallery
    - When you get to the OLAP Data Source step of the wizard click on New to create a new OLAP Instance connection.
    - Ensure that in the connection wizard you can select an OLAP server instance and can test connecting to it successfully.
    - Now after the bi designer is created try doing 'New Crosstab' and see if you get the same error.
    Also please post OLAP/BI Beans specific questions to the Products > Developer Suite > BI Beans forum.

  • The attachment can not find using method CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS~GET_INFO

    Hi Dear Experts,
    I'm new guy in CRM, I used to develop in ECC. Here I encount an issue. We have attachment in the order. On web UI we can see the attachment is attached on the order. But when I use method CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS~GET_INFO to get the information of the attachment, I get nothing.
    I get GUID via table CRMD_ORDERADM_H with OBJECT_ID = order ID, get GUID and OBJECT TYPE, past it into method GET_INFO's interface BUSINESS_OBJECT, But I can not get anything.  I go to SU53, there are no authorization meesage about this method. Actually it informs me that I lost authorization object S_TABU_NAM, but it is related with SE16. So I don't think this cause the failure of get_info.
    Can anyone kindly give me any hints? Thank you so much.
    Regards
    Jay

    Hi Experts,
    I find that these attachments are Archived. So I think I can't get their information. So the next step is how to get the link information. Thanks.

  • Java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients.

    We have some web services that run under OC4J 10.1.3.4. We have various JEE 'client' apps (JSF, servlets etc.) that use these web services. These JEE apps also run under OC4J.
    We started a migration project from oc4j to weblogic 10.3.2. In phase 1 we want to move these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic. In phase 2 we want to move the web services themselves to weblogic with adjustments to the JEE 'client' apps as needed.
    However we ran into an issue during this phase 1. Deploying these JEE 'client' apps to weblogic results in an error like this:
    java.lang.Error: JAX-RPC 1.1 method is not supported in WLS 8.1 clients. If you are attempting to run an OC4J 10.1.3 JAX-RPC client in WLS, please see the Web Service Migration Guide for instructions.
    We are including Oracle web services client libraries (http://download.oracle.com/otn/java/oc4j/1013/wsclient_extended.zip) in these JEE 'client' apps's war files because weblogic does not have them.
    What part of Web Service Migration Guide is the above error message talking about? Do we have to re-generate the client side proxies for all these web services using weblogic's clientgen task in 'JAXRPC' mode? Many of these web services are doc/literal jax-rpc web services. Or does the migration guide recommend we migrate the web services first to weblogic? Any other specific information on working around this error message would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
    I had the same issue but I just managed to fix it. You must upgrade and/or regenerate you proxy. This creates new classes (possibily in a new package) that you must use in your code. I had this error because the classes directory was not clean after the rebuild and the old classes (in the old package) were still present, so the compilation was successful with the old classes. So clean your classes directories, regenerate your proxy and use the new classes in your code.

  • What could cause "Internal error: java.lang.NullPointerException: can't not add null to SWF frame" when using compc?

    using flex sdk 4.6, and air sdk 15.0.0.356
    we get the following error when using compc in our ant build:
    [java] Internal error: java.lang.NullPointerException: can't not add null to SWF frame

    [java] at com.adobe.flash.compiler.clients.COMPC.main(COMPC.java:62)
    which seems to be rather vague, and offers no clue as to what caused the problem. so, my question is, what could cause this error?
    these are the compiler options we use in the build file:
    <java jar="${flex.compc.jar}" dir="." fork="true" failonerror="true">
          <jvmarg value="-Xmx512m" />
          <arg line="@{options} ${_compc.libpath} ${_compc.externspath} ${_compc.includespath}" />
          <arg value="+flexlib=${flex.frameworks.dir}" />
          <arg value="-load-config=@{config}" />
          <arg value="-source-path=@{src.dir}" />
          <arg value="-include-sources=@{src.dir}" />
          <arg value="-output=@{dest}" />
          <arg value="-swf-version=@{swf.version}"/>
          <arg value="-debug=${flash.debug}"/>
          <arg value="-advanced-telemetry"/>
    </java>
    assume that the properties resolve to correct values, since all projects (except one) call this task and compile successfully. the error must come from this one project that fails, but we don't know why.
    any ideas?

    You could be running out of memory, try increasing the -Xmx512m value to -Xmx1024m or another value that you prefer

    Thanks,

    Thanks,I really don't quite follow what your problem is But:
    Are you sure it's { the script } is not looking for JAVA_HOME environmental Variable?
    You could try: Control Panel - System - Advanced - Environment Variables
    and see if it has an Entry for "JAVA_HOME"
    if it does ensure it is pointing to the correct directory:
    ie the one that has the directories bin, jre, lib
    in it. for me that is C:\Java\jdk1.5
    for you it's probaly C:\Java1-5-05 or whatever
    If it doesn't add a new entry for it.
    in my case:
    JAVA_HOME C:\Java\jdk1.5
    Normally I just double click on those .exe's and they install fine.........

    What is the exact tuning I need to start up a simple managedserver in Weblogic 10.3.2, Linux Ubuntu ?

    Hi,
    I doubt that the following USER_MEM_ARGS which u have mentioned in the *"setDomainEnv.sh"* is not taking effect....
    USER_MEM_ARGS="-Xms1024m -Xmx1024m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m"
    Can u check the STDOUT of the Server or first few lines of Server Log....there u will be able to see that what value it is taking actually to startup. Sometimes it happens if we set the MEM_ARGS values in if---else block then mistakenly it takes the default values....
    Because 512M Memory for PermGen is enough for most of the Applications and Servers.
    One more thing .... How r u starting your Servers ...Using StartScripts or using NodeManager (through AdminConsole)? Because there are different ways of setting the Memory Arguments for these two scenarios. Like mentioned in the following link: http://weblogic-wonders.com/weblogic/2010/03/26/nodemanager-based-managedservers-setting-mem_args/
    Thanks
