CCM TREX indexing error

To CCM gurus,
Once in a while, I'd get indexing errors while trying to publish a procurement catalog. The errors would say something like:
1. Error when deleting TREX metadata for catalog ABC...
2. Error when creating the index for catalog XYZ...
3. Error in search index update; discarding existing changes
And then the catalog update is terminated. What we normally do is restarting the TREX server and then we can publish again.
My question is...can we resolve this without having to restart TREX each time? Is there a way to re-index TREX without restarting it?

Hi SN,
You can check the 'health' of the TREX indexes specific to CCM by use of report /CCM/CHECK_TREX (you need at least CCM 2.0 SP4 for this). In this report, if the index is either orange or red, it is not usable, if it is green it is fine. If the index is coloured red or orange, drill into this index and there will be some short text indicating what the problem with the index is. Once inside this index it can be deleted using the delete (trashcan) icon - in this case, a full publication is required to regenerate the index from fresh.
It may also be possible to use report /CCM/RECREATE_INDEX providing the index is still valid on the trex server.

TREX indexing error

Hi people, I'm trying to create an index in EP 6.40 SP18 but when created, the following error appears if I try to reindex:
Wrong operation clearing index failed:QS error: queue not cleared;location=hermes:31003,index=inox_bd_om (Errorcode 6030)
I've checked in TREX monitor that all the component are green, so any idea what could be the reason? (I also have checked in Visual Administrator that server name and port are ok in TREX service).

It looks like the clear queue command is failing. What happens if you clear the queue using TREXAdmin on the TREX OS? In the queue topic select the queue and right click one of the options is Clear.

Trex Index error in Component Monitor

Hi Experts,
I have created an index for indexing one of the KM folder . When I check the queue status from TREX monitor screen, it shows Document Status as "Preparation
Failed"
Return Message : 8005
Return Message : Timeout reached
Return Message : 8006
Return Message : Lost Connection to peer
I have also checked Component Monitor in that Repository Managers and Services shows runing status but there is errror symbol with yellow trangle.
Can someone please help me out

There are errors in component monitor and i have expanaded the node ands checked the errors that are as follows,
Component Monitor --> Services --> scheduler --> attachmentscheduler startup failed :
Configuration Error: No CM system assigned to this task
Component Monitor --> Services > reporting> Startup Error: exception in startup: Invalid RID: No repository manager found for prefix: /reporting
Component Monitor --> Repository Managers > reporting> startup failed
Component Monitor --> Repository Managers >taxonomy> Startup Error: taxonomy manager: start failed
We had assigned one server node to Scheduler Tasks.
Still there is same error.

TREX Indexation errors

Hi!
We use SAP NetWeawer Portal 7.0 SP18 and Sap Trex 7.10.23. When I start indexation for documents in repository in the Portal i get errors in Trex trace like this ...
TrexApiContent.cpp(00575): doc type != analyzed, can't resore content for doc...
almost for all documents in the repository.
What does this erorrs mean? and how to fix this problems?

CCM - Trex sizing question

Dear all,
I'm currenlty installing CCM and Trex on a development system. I was wondering whether someone of you had an indication on what the approximate required disk space is for Trex ?
The Trex will only be used by CCM and CCM (in our dev system) will have minimal (approx. 100-200) catalog items.

TREX is mandatory for CCM2.0. TREX is a required component of the SAP CCM 2.0, even in the scenario where the search functionality would not be used (i.e. in a scenario of just navigating the hierarchial structure and selecting items) the TREX is still a requirement for publishing and indexing of the published data.

TREX indexing encrypted files

Hello,
In the context of an upgrade of e-recruiting (from 3.0 to 6.0) we installed a new Trex (release 7.10).
I recreated all indexes and I have problems with two files.
This files are uploaded by applicant and they are encrypted.
I have errors into the preprocessing because this files are encrypted.
In this moment I have two questions :
a) How can I index this two files ?
b) How can I decide into my ABAP server (e-recruiting) that I don't want to index this files ?

Hi Paulo,
TREX indexes the file name and the content of the file for all files, including Excel files. I have come across several different issues with TREX not being able to index certain Excel files due to filter bugs. Check TREX 7.10 central Note 1021162 for a listing of the different revs.
Are you having issues trying to index a file? If so, what error are you getting?

TREX Timeout error - EP6SP11

Hi,
We are in EP6SP11 and with TREX6.1 SP11. We have a large set of documents under KM around 5000-6000.
When we are trying to index this documents, we notice that some documents do not get indexed with the error
Return Code : 8005
Return Message : Timeout reached
Document Status : Preparation failed
Action : Index.
Morever we notice that once the TREX indexing is going on, the Portal becomes very slow. Infact it is difficult to login the Portal during the indexing.
We have already applied the queue settings mentioned in the SDN Document "How to configure TREX6.1 for effective indexing" for Netweaver'04..but still the same problem.

if you would like an exact evaluation of the error on these documents, please open a support message and be prepared to provide remote access to your system.
Apart from that:
- Are the documents HTTP-accessible from the TREX Server?
- What is the mime type of the docs? Is it on the list of indexable formats?
Concerning this one:

I assume TREX and the Portal are running on the same server?
There is a strong recommendation to run TREX on a separate box, as it will take all the main memory it can get when indexing...

Post the SQL you success run directly on Studio together with error message (even if is the Invalid column index error).
Check there if the parameters case is working properly... Is it really this confusing options:
p_GJAHR
S_BUKRS
p_base_ledger
Why not all lower or all upper? Anyhow you must test and find which option works according your modeling

I know this is an old thread but I too am getting a column index error accessing an Oracle 10g database stored procedure using Crystal Reports XI, using the New Report wizard to select the stored procedure. It prompts me for the sp parameters; I select "set to null" and click OK and get
Failed to retrieve data from the database. Details: SQL Exception: [SQL State:] null [Error message:] Invalid Column Index [Database vendor code 17003]
I can run the procedure and get data just fine with no errors using PL/SQL.

Index error in bin

Hello people!
I just had a project refuse to save any changes I made in the mixer (add new busses etc). From nowhere, I was given the "index error in bin" message, and also "minor change of project data has taken place".
There is an archived discussion on this topic here
I am in the middle of trying to import the messed up project into a new project, using the import function.....

Hi,
Could you please make sure your binding style(Oracle Positional,Oracle named..etc) of the Seeded VO and Custom Vo are same.
This is the option you will get when you are extending your vo. So make sure that both are same.

TREX indexing from content server(maxdb)

Hello.
I've installed standalone TREX on Linux, configured the connection to R3 system and to Portal as well. On the R3 I have configured connection to the SAP Content serve(via archive link) where we save some documents(pdf, doc. files). The part which I don't understand is how can I configure the repository of the content server as a source for the Trex index?
Any hint would be useful. Thanks in advance.

the question is what exactly do you wanna do?
Integrating a archivelink in the Portal or indexing the documents via ERP?
In the first case you must create a web repository and define an index.
In the other case it depends on the SAP Solution but mostly you have to customize the SM59, SRMO, SKPR06.

I was trying to create stored procedures, functions and packages in sql developer which is connected to Oracle 11g. My instructor is able to execute all of them without any errors in 10g. However, when I try to execute them, I get- "Invalid column index error". Any suggestions on how to rectify this error?

SAP GUI Final Release Patch 24
In my query definition, I right-click on one of the characteristics..Eg. Posting Date --> Properties --> Change 'Suppress Results Rows' option from "Never" to "Always". --> Press OK.
Then I get this pop-up with error message:

An unexpected 'invalid property array index' error occured in wdbrlog.
1 error(s) are logged.
If I say continue, it kicks me out of BeX. I need to re-login to do the stuff.
I find some information, but i dont know what happens.
