CDI Fails when deployed twice from OEPE 12c to WebLogic 12c
Hi,
First when I use CDI on WebLogic 12c it works the first time without any problems , First I had to do this ( From Steve Button ) else I get some inject problems
Just as an out there kind of thought, OEPE does use the split-directory model for deployment by default -- perhaps try adjusting it to use the exploded archive model instead, just as a test to see if it removes the error?
Right click the server config and select Properties > WebLogic > Publishing > Publish as exploded archive
then it works once , when I deploy it twice then the Named beans are not found. ( I use a empty beans.xml in the web-inf )
I need to restart the wls 12c then it works. Same project with OEPE 12c and glassfish works fine.
thanks
Arun,
Do you see the application status active in the Admin console?
Are you testing the web application by typing the complete URL in the browser that includes the name of the webpage including the context root , ipaddress/hostname and port number of Server..?
404 indicates application doesn't exist.
Please share the URL you are testing.
Please check the server log if you found any deployment issues when deploying your application?
Thanks,
Vijaya

test.ear:

test-ejb-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar
where
test-extension-0.0.1-SNAPSHOT.jar contains:
CdiExtension.java:

public class CdiExtension implements Extension {
private String someString = "Some String";
public String getSomeString() {
return someString;

p.s. i seen same problem in community.oracle.com/thread/2577403 , but it happen in "war", not "ear", and seems successfully patched with patch №17424706Hi,
It looks like there is patch exists for this issue.

You must have logged in thru a dedicated connection to any server through say VPN before deploying.This way the sdm uses the same login as that of already establised connection.
So 'sign of' all connections to any servers before deploying and redeploy your application.Here you will be prompted to supply the sdm password and deployment shall proceed. -

Script fails when passing values from pl/sql to unix variable
Dear All,
I am Automating STATSPACK reporting by modifying the sprepins.sql script.
Using DBMS_JOB I take the snap of the database and at the end of the day the cron job creates the statspack report and emails it to me.

could it be the begin_ and end_ Colums of your query?
Seems SQL*PLUS hs parsing problems?
try to fetch another column from that table

I think the first time i have tryed it i missed to activate the anotations facet in project properties because this configuration step is not explained in the tutorial unless you take a close look into the tutorial images. Probably that was the cause of the mentioned error, not so sure, but the tutorial example really works.

PL/SQL Web Service fails when deployed to WebLogic server
I have a web service generated via JDeveloper from a PL/SQL package. It runs fine both when tested in JDeveloper and when the WAR file is manually deployed to the Integrated WebLogic Server. However, when the WAR file is deployed to our actual WebLogic server, it fails. Other existing web services that were not generated with the JDeveloper wizard work correctly. I am having trouble finding any references to this type of issue to solve it. Are there any ideas what might be causing the WSDL to fail?
References:
* JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.
* No proxies are involved.
* The PLSQL package is a basic function that returns varchar2 input fed in by one parameter:
create or replace package body pkg_ws_test as
function test_me (p_anything_in varchar2)
return varchar2 is
begin
return p_anything_in;
end test_me;
end pkg_ws_test;

Personalization fails when CZ launched from web page
I have been struggling with this problem from a long time now but havent been able to figure out the solution.
I have added export button via personalization on Summary page (/oracle/apps/cz/runtime/oa/webui/templates/buttonBar/regions/SummaryPageButtonBar) to export the data in spreadsheet .
This is site level personalization. Export button works fine in configurator when its launched from OM, Quoting, custom oracle form used to launch configurator for vewing booked orders and saved quotes.
Problem lies here :
I developed a custom OAF page and lanched configurator from that page. I am able to launch configure and save the session. But this export button fails and gives me null pointer exception.
Any suggestion in this direction would help me greatly.
I had posted the question in OAFramework forum but got no solution. May be its a wrong place to ask configurator question.
Details of the problem are on this thread :

Changing user & table name when deploying CMP from jdev902
Hi
How can I choose different user and table name when deploying CMP EJB other then Oracle/CMP name from Jdev902 to OC4J 902. I have tried edinting orion-ejb-jar.xml's entity-deployment tag with limited succes ie: it works fine when I deploy to the inbedded OC4J but when I try deploying to standalone OC4J I get table created in Oracle user and a table with the same name as the CMP.
I have also tried deploying the connections.xml along with the java classes, that didn't work either.

Flex application not working when deployed run from Server
Hi,
I have Flex application which takes a parameter from user, makes a web-service call and returns the message.
This application is running perfectly when I launch from IDE.
But when I copy the files from bin-release to server and launch it, it gives me no result.
In the crossdomain file on the server which hosts web-service, I have added the my host IP in the
allow-access-from domain tag.
In the initialization method of the application I load crossdomain using following code:
Security.allowDomain("remoteservername");
Security.loadPolicyFile("http://remoteservername/crossdomain.xml");
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("http://remoteservername/crossdomain.xml");
var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
loader.load(request);
Is there a way I can debug application when running from server?
Please give me some pointer to solve this problem.
Thank you.
ChintanAlex thanks for reply
The URL for the app is http://<some_IP>/flex_app
<some_IP> is added in crossdomain.
Also we have outbound IP's and of these are also added in the crossdomain file.
This is the current content of crossdomain file:
<cross-domain-policy>
<site-control permitted-cross-domain-policies="master-only"/>
<allow-access-from domain="<some_IP>"/>
<allow-access-from domain="<outbound_IP1>"/>
<allow-access-from domain="<outbound_IP2>"/>
<allow-access-from domain="<outbound_IP3>"/>
<allow-http-request-headers-from domain="<outbound_IP1>" headers="SOAPAction"/>
<allow-http-request-headers-from domain="<outbound_IP2>" headers="SOAPAction"/>
<allow-http-request-headers-from domain="<outbound_IP3>" headers="SOAPAction"/>
</cross-domain-policy>
App runs perfectly fine when launched from Flex Builder. -
Dimension validation in 11gR2 fails when deploying all
Hi,
I want to test the new Rolap with MV options in OWB 11gR2. My dims and cubes are validated and usually work fine with rolap storage. Now when I change the storage to Rolap with MV and set the deployment option to 'deploy all' or 'catalog only' I get a validation error when validating the dimension:
VLD_0917 - unknown error when deploying dim
- unknown error when deploying dim. Details: java.lang.NullPointerException.
Nothing else.
I wonder why this happens during validation. Probably it needs a configuration value which I haven't set ?!
Any idea where I can find more information on what's missing? NullPointerException doesn't help much...

Ejb-ref errore when deploying a previously working ear on weblogic 8.1
when deploying an ear module on weblogic 8.1 i get the following error:
The ejb-link 'CustomessagingBrick.jar/CustomMessaginBrick' declared in ejb-ref
or ejb-local-ref 'ejb/Service2' in the application module 'cmbrick.war' could
not be resolved. The target EJB for the ejb ref could not be found.
The ear is composed of two sub-modules:
CustomMessaginBrick.jar
cmbrick.war.
The same ear was deployed on weblogic 6.1.
Every reference in the ear seems in the right place so i am really clueless.
Hereafter i include the relevant portions of the deployment descriptors.
Thanks in advance!

Luca
the web.xml for cmbrick.war contains the following data:
<ejb-local-ref>
<ejb-ref-name>ejb/Service2</ejb-ref-name>
<ejb-ref-type>Session</ejb-ref-type>
<local-home>com.hutchison3g.core.brick.custom.messaging.CustomMessagingBrickLocalHome</local-home>
<local>com.hutchison3g.core.brick.custom.messaging.CustomMessagingBrickLocal</local>
<ejb-link>CustomMessagingBrick</ejb-link>
</ejb-local-ref>
its weblogic.xml file is the following:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE weblogic-web-app PUBLIC "-//BEA Systems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 8.1//EN"
"http://www.bea.com/servers/wls810/dtd/weblogic810-web-jar.dtd">

</stateless-session-descriptor>
<transaction-descriptor>
</transaction-descriptor>
<enable-call-by-reference>True</enable-call-by-reference>
<jndi-name>Service2</jndi-name>
</weblogic-enterprise-bean>....The issue is that WLS 6.1 didn't really support ejb-links properly. An
ejb-link should allow you to link a webapp or an ejb to another EJB
without requiring additional information or a global JNDI name on the
target EJB.
WLS 8.1 is following your ejb-link and telling you there's not enough
information.
You have 2 options:
1) Remove the <ejb-link>...</ejb-link> from your web.xml. You'll be
using just an ejb-reference at that point, but you've already included
the necessary information in the weblogic.xml that we can locate the EJB
via its global jndi-name
or
2) Change the ejb-link to be
<ejb-link>CustomMessaginBrick.jar#CustomMessagingBrick</ejb-link>
If you wanted to, you could then remove the reference info from the
weblogic.xml

Any help would be appreciated.Hi Vinay,
As Visakh mentioned, the issue usually occurs because the package runs in 64-bit runtime, however, the Excel driver is 32-bit. According to your another thread, it seems that you use SSIS 2005, right? In SSIS 2005, there is no “use 32 bit runtime” option
for the package executions of a SSIS package job step. In this condition, you have two choices:
Install the 64-bit Microsoft ACE OLE DB 12.0 Provider on the production server. Here is the download link (AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe):
http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=13255
Create a CmdExec type job step instead of SSIS Package job step, so that we can call 32-bit DTExec.exe to execute the package within command line. For more information, please see:
