CDX-GT565UP clock changes constantly

Had this player for some time.  I listened to AM radio (news junkie) most of the time.  Then I started listening to FM radio.  Now the clock will constantly change time.  I can set it to say12:15 then sometime later it will be some random time like 10:27 or 8:06 or 11:51.  Anything but what it should be.  It could take 10 minutes to change or 2 hours or it will change to 4 different times in 1 hour.  There is no pattern that I can tell.
This time change does NOT occur when I'm listening to any source other than FM.  It ONLY happens while listening to FM.
Any ideas ? ? ?

You said...
This issue will occur if leads are not matched correctly with the car's accessory power connector. Make sure that they are matched correctly.
Exactly what leads are you referring to?  Got a diagram?
To further clarify my problem further, the clock changes the time even thought I never turn off the car
Just today, during a 2 hour trip the clock changed 3 tmes.
I never turned off the car.

  • Odd clock drift since summer time clock change

This is a weird one. Since the clocks changed back for daylight savings time (here in the UK, on Sunday morning from BST to GMT) I've been getting a strange error: while I'm editing a file in vi(1), occasionally when I come to save it tells me the file has changed on disk (it hasn't).
I thought I was going mad until a colleague said he's seen the same warnings on his machine in Eclipse. It seems to me like the clock is constantly drifting/being adjusted - I'm syncing with NTP to time.euro.apple.com, and I am seeing a lot of NTP updates in the logs:
    system.log:Nov 2 19:18:26 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset +0.280424 s
    system.log:Nov 2 20:26:10 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset -0.857206 s
    system.log:Nov 2 20:26:10 mightymac ntpd[34353]: frequency error -589 PPM exceeds tolerance 500 PPM
    system.log:Nov 2 21:01:15 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset +0.974976 s
    system.log:Nov 2 23:00:28 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset +0.557037 s
    system.log:Nov 2 23:34:56 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset +0.960510 s
    system.log:Nov 3 09:49:37 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset -1.004375 s
    system.log:Nov 3 10:07:17 mightymac ntpd[34353]: time reset +0.491741 s
These are big jumps - a second, half a second, much more than I'd expect to see. Given it's happening on a colleagues machine we can rule out my clock battery or other local hardware/software issues, it's happening both when I'm at work and at home (on two different networks), and it's only happening since the summer time change on Sunday.
Has anyone else seen this? This is on 10.6.4, on two machines that have not been rebooted since the clocks changed.

I have a similar problem - when I start up my clock has advanced about 13 hours. It seems to have been doing this since daylight savings changed. It has the right time zone and I have unlinked synchronisation but it keeps happening even when it is locked.

  • System clock is constantly inaccurate - Sat Pro U400

    Salaam :-)
My laptop system clock is constantly inaccurate. I have windows 7 on Satellite Pro U400-13J. Whenever I glance at the clock down left on the taskbar I see it way before correct time. I have this laptop since about 18 months, does this point to a dead battery leading to a CMOS failure ?

    Selam aleykum,
Your laptop is still new and the cmos battery shouldn't be dead. I advise you:
1 leave laptop charging for 48 hours to charge cmos battery full.
    2. If your system has an always on broadband internet connection, you can automate the process by changing the set interval between updates.
Open up the registry editor by choosing Start -> Run -> Regedit
    Find the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\
    Services\W32Time\TimeProviders\NtpClient
Select the entry for SpecialPollInterval and change the decimal value to a period of time you wish to use. The data value is in seconds, so for example, a value of 172800 will change the synchronization interval to 2 days, a value of 86400 will change it to 1 day, or a value of 3600 will change it to one hour.
Exit from the Registry Editor, and ensure the Automatically synchronise option is ticked for your system clock settings. (Be sure you use Apply when youve finished making changes to the time setting box for the system clock, so the change there is a permanent one.)

I have placed my registry printscreen where enter 3600 ( it means every hour your system clock will sychronize with time server but you have always connected to Internet)

    Filip ,
I guess it should be covered under notifications but you can try options.
    ciscoasa(config)# logging buffered ?
    configure mode commands/options:
      <0-7>          Enter syslog level (0 - 7)
WORD           Specify the name of logging list
      alerts
      critical

  • Make clock change for daylight savings time

    how?
bios clock is set to local
    I dualboot with vista
    using xfce

When using OpenNTPD I recommend not to uncomment lines
    # Addresses to listen on (ntpd does not listen by default)
    #listen on *
    #listen on 127.0.0.1
    #listen on ::1
in your /etc/ntpd.conf. I had some strange problems when I did that. The clock was constantly about 40 minutes slow.

  • Reminders app issue following the clock change

    Hi
I've seen some Q10 users reporting this same issue but not for the Z10 but with no solution yet.  Since the clocks changed and we moved into Daylight Saving Time, I've found an issue with my Reminders app.  All reminders (including those set before and after the clock change) flash up one hour before the time I've set it for.  The clock is correct, as is the timezone, and the lock screen (which shows the next event) shows it at the correct time - it's the physical reminder which is one hour out.
I've tried a hard re-set, pulling the battery out, connecting to the BB Link on my laptop but nothing has sorted out.  I don't know if this is related or not but my phone also did not automatically update the timezone following my return from a trip away (even though it was set to automatically update).  I manually changed it and it now shows correctly as 'Dubline, London).  But, if I turn the 'automatically update timezone' off, and then back on again, the phone automatically shows as Brussels time ie. one hour ahead.  As with the above issue, phone re-sets did not resolve this issue.
Any advice on either, or both, issues would be much appreciated.
    Many thanks

  • Clock Change

    Hi,
When the clock change happens, does SAP automatically adapt to these changes and appropriately schedule the jobs accordingly.
I was thinking whether we need to inform basis and check whether the jobs would be affected or not.
Any background scheduled jobs during clock changes, believe will be automatically handled.
Please confirm whether my assumption is right.

What OS are you using? If you're using XP, click Start, go to control panel and open up "Regional and Language Options."  Now, click on the "customize button" next to the language that is displayed. Next, click on the time tab; on the drop down menu choose h:mm:ss:tt.  Don't worry about the hh:mm:ss:tt choice. click on "OK," and then "OK" on the last dialog box.
For those who don't quite get "International" or "Military" time, all you need to do is subrtract 12 from the hour number when it is greater than 12:00.  For example, 17:45 is 17-12=5--therefore 17:45 is 5:45PM.  Or, you can ignore the 1 in the tens place and just subtract 2-- 7-2=5, ergo 5:45

  • Boot fail after system clock changed

    Hi!
I've changed the system clock in BIOS, after that I've got an error message.
Grub was loading until reached the /dev/sda3 check and suddenly stopped and asked the root pass.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to type in my pass because of hu_HU charset.
After that I restored the original date and now everything is fine except the date (At the moment the date is: 2009 Monday 17:35:13)
How Can I set up the correct date and what was that error?
    I appreciate every help.
    Thx.

MadTux wrote:Did you see an error message? Could have been a problem with the file system. I guess if the date in the file system is before the current date, this could cause problems. Why not use ntp? Then you always have the correct time.
That was the problem I guess. I don't know ntp. I was wondering if you'd tell me more about ntp.

  • Booting problem / memory clock change

I changed memory/core clock under MSI Clock tab in Display properties and now Windows XP starts on a black screen. For instance, I reduced the memory/core clock and the problem appeared. It´s because a week ago I raised the memory/core clock and some gif or jpeg images had some spots, then I reduced the frequency to fix it and at the first reboot the new problem of the black screen appeared.
The videocard is MSI FX5200-TD128, motherboard Athlon AMD K7M, PSU is ATX500W, OS Windows XP.
    Thank you.

What you want to do is not possible with the memory that you have, so buy some memory that cope with what you are trying to do.
That's not MSI fault that you would want to use a 300mhz HTT with memory that is rated to work at 200mhz DDR...but that is just my opinion
    Be well....
Ehhhhhh???? Didn't he state that he had a problem running his memory on a LOWER frequency? What kind of memory is having a problem running at a LOWER speed??? /Me just don't get it....

  • Lock screen clock changed to analog clock

I use either Sony clock or digital clock on lock screen.  However, it will get changed to analog clock for no reason.  Few times already.  Changed it back to digital/Sony clock, but it goes back to analog clock after awhile (days).
Anyone see this behavior?  Any way to make the Sony/digital clock to stick?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I have not experienced this behaviour and just like Thommo said, the clock should stick as long as you don't change it or have any application that affect it. Are you sure that you lock the screen when you put the phone in your pocket or similar?

  • Pre Clock changing time - Alarms repeating

I have about 10 daily alarms set on my Pre.  I've kept to this alarm schedule for about 2 months now.  After update 1.4 came out a lot of my alarms would go off twice within a minute.  It seems as though my clock ticks back a minute every few hours.  I'm not sure if this is to fix the previous problem of the time wandering off by as much as 7 minutes like my phone was doing before version 1.4.  This double alarm issue is getting to be rather annoying.
eg: I have an alarm set for 12:30.  The alarm goes off so I pick up my phone to dismiss it.  When I look at the phone the time says 12:30, then jumps back to 12:29.  I dismiss the alarm only to have it go off again when the clock says 12:30 again in a minute.
Please help as I have to keep to this schedule for another 4 months or so.

You're very welcome--- In fact, these are very GOOD questions and I happen to have an answer to each of them.
For Question 1. Normally , in the calendar they only ask for the time, not the time zone. So, the times will not change in your calendar unless you adjust them yourself.
Question 2. As in Question 1, You will have to adjust the time in your calendar to whatever time zone you are in.
Question 3. If you manually set your alarm to a specific time and you change time zones, your alarm will NOT adjust to the time zone you are in. That will only happen if you have the time zone set to automatic.
Lastly, If you do not have your time zone set to automatic then your time will not adjust at all. Therefore, you will not lose/gain any seconds.
Hope I have answered all of your questions that you have for me today.
    I'm waiting on your reply!
