  • How to change the text of label dynamically

    Hi all,
    I have done a dynpro program.It requires to implement the dynamically display the label text, for example: there is a label, sometimes, we want to display "Purchase Order" and sometimes we want to display "Sales Order". Can anyone tell me how to change the text of label according to my requirements? thanks in advance!

    Hi Wei,
    AS of now you will not be able to change the Text Field ( Label ) dynamically or at runtime. This is a limitation.Refer to this link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e4/2adbef449911d1949c0000e8353423/frameset.htm
    But, there is a way around.
    You can make a text field Visible / Invisible based on your program logic. So, based on what you want, you can process a module which will take care of that.
    Have a look at these DEMO Code. You can have a good idea to implement the logic.

    Hi, Irosenth and others again.
    To try to solve my problem (because I do not know how to do this in PDF), I made a short PostScript program to check the length of the characters in Helvetiva 10 pt. A part of the program is shown below. If I have the length, I can calculate the centered position of the text in my C or Fortran program, that makes the PDF file.  This investigation gave, for instance, the lengths for A, B and W as:
    A:  6.66797
    F:  6.10840
    W: 9.43945
    When I placed the EPS file into Adobe InDesign a bit different values came out:
    A:  6.66959
    F:  6.10963
    W: 9.43942
    ... and still different in Adobe Photoshop:
    A:  6.67081
    F:  6.11075
    W: 9.44115
    I have the feeling that character lengths are given as integers in the font file (not as real numbers) and I actually have to multiply these lengths (for 10 pt. Helvetica)  with some unknown value to find the "correct" lengths of the given characters. Does anyone know the actual length of the character A in Helvetica for instance?

  • Can't hide text field label..only text field

    I'm trying to display text field boxes on a form to fill out when a box is checked.  I'm able to do this for the actual text field, but can't figure out how to hide then show the associated text field label.  Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks!
    var nHide =
    event.target.isBoxChecked (0) ? display.visible:display,hidden;
    this.getField ("Name").display = nHide; this.getField

    First of all, you're using Acrobat JavaScript in an XFA form, which doesn't work.
    LiveCycle Designer has its own interpretation of JavaScript, which is different to Acrobat.
    There is also a second scripting language called FormCalc available.
    Its syntax is much easier to learn and is matches perfectly to manipulate XFA forms.
    Check the help (F1 button) in Designer to get the Designers scripting guide.

  • [AS] Access Text Frame Labels in CS5

    Hello Everyone,
    I am updating a CS2 InDesign AppleScript to CS5 and finding an issue accessing the text frame labels. In CS2 the script below would set the variable x to the contents of the text frame "bob", unfortunately, this script not longer works in CS5.
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS2"
            set x to contents of text frame "bob" of active document
    end tell
    The documentation tells users how to insert text, but not access it. If anyone has an idea of how to do this in CS5 I would appreciate it.

    Got it!
    tell application "Adobe InDesign CS5"
         tell active document
              set x to contents of item 1 of all page items whose label is "bob"
         end tell
    end tell

    Thank you for the help.

    The Print output depends on the paper Size ! Why don't you try using a Standard Text for your requirement ?

  • HTMLEditorKit Centering Text

    Hello,
    I am writing a basic html editor which uses a textPane and java's HTMLEditorKit. The program allows the html to be saved.
    At the moment the text can only be written in a row by row form. And I would like to add the option of centering text, and images Which could be switch on and off, suchas in Microsoft's word.
    Could anyone provide an example of how to achieve this, or over some guidance.
    Thank you

    Thanks,
    I had a look at the site, though I could not find the answer, to how to use the java tools StyleSheet HTMLDocument and HTMLEditorKit kit. And allow the user to center text and images within a textpane, which would add the center tag to the HTMLDocument which contains the html template.
    Could you possibly advice further?

  • Center text in Label

    Hola everyone!
    I'm trying to center the text inside a label, like this:
    Stage {
        title: "Application title"
        scene: Scene {
            width: 500, height: 200
            content: [
                Label {
                    text: "Label"
                    width: 500
                    height: 200
                    hpos: HPos.CENTER
    }The text should be in the center of the frame but... upss!! it's in the upper-left corner
    I realized that the way it works is to bind the width and height:
    width: bind 500
    heght: bind 200Now, the text is perfectly centered, but bindind a constant number squeaks a lot!
    Is this a bug? Or is the bug inside my mind? XD

    Since Labels are Resizable, the correct way to set the size is to use LayoutInfo. For example,
    Stage {
       title: "Application title"
       scene: Scene {
           width: 500, height: 200
           content: [
               Label {
                   text: "Label"
                   layoutInfo: LayoutInfo {
                       width: 500
                       height: 200
                   hpos: HPos.CENTER
    }See Amy Fowler's blog for an in-depth look at layout in JavaFX.

  • Centering text & wrapping words on lines

    Hi all,
    I need to have a JLabel that centers the text in it, and allows for multiple lines, where if a line is too long, it wraps onto the next line.
    I started off with a JTextArea, setting "setLineWrap" and "setWrapStyleWord", and this works fine for long lines of text. But, I need to have the text centered as well. Is there any way of doing this? I know JTextPane can do it, but I can't see how to do it in JTextArea.
    any help much appreciated,
    Justin

    Use a JLabel, with HTML text content and set the preferred size of the label as well. This will do auto line wrap;
    ie. ew JLabel("<html><center>The long text</center></html>");ICE

  • Centering dynamic length label

    I want to associate a label with a TextField.
    I want the layout to be ...
    LABEL : [TEXTFIELD]
    However, I want to center them both.
    Since I don't know how many characters are in the LABEL at build time, I can't know how wide the LABEL should be ( which makes centering difficult ).
    As an example I might have the following appear, depending on the label.
    7 chars^^^^^^^^^^^^^: [TEXTAREA]
    13 chars here^^^^^^^: [TEXTAREA]
    It is 19 chars wide^: [TEXTAREA]
    As you can see, the text is always left justified. I want to center BOTH of them and not have the trailing spaces.

    Use a FlowLayout to wrap them.
    public class FlowLayout extends Object
    implements LayoutManager, Serializable
    A flow layout arranges components in a left-to-right flow, much like lines of text in a paragraph. Flow layouts are typically used to arrange buttons in a panel. It will arrange buttons left to right until no more buttons fit on the same line. Each line is centered.

  • How to Print Fields that are Centered on the Label

    Labview 6.1 - Which VI do I call or Attribute do I set to make a String Field "Centered" on its Row on a Zebra Label? I need to specify the String Data, the Font Size and Centered about Position. One Centered field per Row (3 Rows). I am using the NewReport.vi, SetReportOrientation.vi, SetReportFont.vi AppendReportText,vi, PrintReport.vi and DisposeReport.vi

    LabVIEW does support the windows printer driver, I was thrown off by the fact that you said "zebra label." We have a report generation toolkit that will allow you to create more advanced reports and can programatically control microsoft word and excel to create as complex of a document as you desire.
    Our basic report generation toolkit that ships with LabVIEW supports simple reports and layouts. It also allows for HTML reports. You can then append any HTML formatting to the report that you desire (such as the center tag).
    You could also continue to use the standard report by appending spaces to the string you are printing. For example, if you know that your printer is 80 characters wide (using a fixed width font), you can take the size of the string "len" and append (80-len)/2 number of spaces to the string. If you need help doing this, let me know.
    We actually implimented a barcode label printing VI that printed an entire front panel. We created a VI that had an array of controls and we formatted the controls to our desire (one was a centered string). We then used the "print panel vi" in the block diagram. That we we simply wired the inputs to the VI and it printed the front panel to the printer onto the labels (we use this on our large shipments that have more than one item).
    The ActiveX examples that ship with LabVIEW and on our website are very good starting points for creating word reports, but if you are going to use LabVIEW to manipulate Microsoft Word and Excel, I really suggest getting our Report Generation Toolkit for Microsoft Office. The RGT (Report Generation Toolkit) contains a complete set of easy to use VIs to programmatically create and edit Word and Excel documents. The Microsoft Office ActiveX interface is huge, and it is often times hard to find good complete documentation on how to perform certain tasks. The RGT VIs hide all of the ActiveX complexity and really simplify the tasks, but as a developer I really appreciate the fact that the VIs contain all of the ActiveX code on the block diagram so that I can look at them as examples and modify them to my desire. You can find out more about the RGT from ni.com, click on Products, LabVIEW, LabVIEW Addons, LabVIEW Toolsets, LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit.
    I hope some this gives you an idea you can run with.

  • How do I put two centered text in a PAGE_START in BorderLayout ?

  • How do I place a transparent image over specific, centered text?

    I'm helping someone with a site that flows sales copy down the center of the browser window. We want to take a transparent oval and place it over a price that will be in the copy. (It would look like someone took a marker and circled the price.)
    I had learned that AP Div could solve this problem and, to an extent, it does. I can place the oval right over the price. But it only works when the copy is left justified, not centered. If the copy is centered, I can place the oval, but if the browser window is resized, the oval stays in place while the copy is reflowed to the new browser window size. Thus the oval is no longer over the correct text.
    Then I learned that Layout Mode might solve this problem, however that has been removed from CS4.
    So now my question is how do I to take a transparent .png file and place it over copy on this site so that if the browser window is resized, the .png file stays with the correct text as the text is "moved" to stay in the center of the brower window?
    I want to avoid the workaround of simply creating a .png with the oval and the price and inserting that in the middle of the copy at the appropriate place. There must be a better way to handle this. Not being too familiar with Dreamweaver, maybe there's some sort of Anchor function similar to one in InDesign that solves this issue.
    I've attached the simple oval .png file we're trying to use for this.
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    How about having the circle underneath the text? I know it's a compromise, but it will be much easier to do as you can assign a background image to the div or table cell which holds the text.
    For example, make a blank graphic and create a class:
    .price
        background-image: url(nocircle.png);
    then assign it to the text and give each text div a unique name
    <div class="price" id="price1">10.99</div>
    then you can turn the background image on and off using Dreamweaver's javascript controls, for example:
    onclick="MM_changeProp('price1','','background-image','url(circle.png)','DIV');"
    Hope that helps.

  • How to display different text for labels in Group Above Report Oracle Repor

    Hello,
    Is there a way to change the text that is displayed in Labels in a Group Above Report? For example, I have a Group Above report with my columns of data and above the columns I have my column labels, but I would like to be able to display various text, i.e. different labels based on condition. In other words, Column1 label could say Column 1 or This is Column1, based on a condition. This is Oracle Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2.
    Thank you.

    I'm thinking it is possible with a Format Trigger, but I've only ever returned (TRUE) or (FALSE). I am very new to Oracle Reports Builder. Thanks.Hi,
    Yes it's possible. and your are in the right place. use this true and false. For example
    /*true means display, false means don't display */
    if your_criteria_or_condition is ok then
    return (TRUE);
    else
    return (FALSE);
    end if;create as many label as your need and control with the code..
    Hope this works..

  • Customer Master Text data label display in BEx query

    Hi,
    In my query output i have the customer number and its text displayed. The data comes from customer master infoobject.
    But the label is displayed only for customer number.
    But I need the label for text also needs to be displayed.
    Kindly let me know is there any possibilities to display the label for the text.
    Regards,
    Indhu

    Hi Induja ,
    For 0CUSTOMER , name attribute is there so it will work fine, for others like 0MATERIAL, 0COMP_CODE etc. you can follow the steps which i have posted in above reply.
    Use the same steps for 0Material, creation of Z- infoobject with reference char. of 0Material.....
    Create one custom 'z' InfoObject lets say ZCUSTOMER with Reference Characteristic of 0CUSTOMER and add it to the data target, map it with same field for which 0CUSTOMER is mapped and load data into target (DSO, cube) or if you are reporting on multiprovider then assign it.
    Because ZCUSTOMER is created with reference of 0CUSTOMER and mapped with the same source field , ZCUSTOMER will act as copy of 0CUSTOMER.
    In query designer drag 0CUSTOMER and ZCUSTOMER. change display setting
    0CUSTOMER display as Key only
    ZCUSTOMER display as Text only.
