Central document linked to many service masters

Hi,
We use service master, the specifications for some services are common.
Which we want to maintain in centeal place and attach these specifications to service ativities.
1. This information should flow to purhcase order .
2. Purchase order print out
3. Service entry sheet.
4. When we make changes to the central specifications it should get updated in all revelant attched activties.
Note: we are creatind a service master using AC03.

Services for Object: attached documents/ links cannot be deleted

Dear SAPfriends,
The deletion button at the attachment list of "Services for Object" does not work. Eventhough it seems that the documents/ links/ notes have been removed from the object (i.e. Purchase order, material etc), when you exit and re-enter at the attachment list the documents are still there.
I tried to delete them from OAER, still the same.
Any ideas?

Contracts for services without service masters - updating material group

Hi all
I have some contracts for services where the services themselves are not linked to service masters. If the material group is updated in the contract at item level, this change is not being applied to the service lines. When the services are pulled through to a purchasing document the original material group / G/L allocation is being used rather than the updated one.
This issue also occurs if a new contract is set up but the services are copied from an existing contract. The services adopt the material group of the original contract rather than the new one.
Any ideas on how this can be overcome?

Upgraded SharePoint team sites from 2010 to 2013. add new document link not working for shared document in upgraded sharepoint 2013?. it is specially not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this sharePoint server and it
is working fine with environment Office web apps not configured with Sharepoint.

According to your description, my understanding is that the add new document link was not working on machine where Office web apps set up with this SharePoint server after you upgraded SharePoint team sites
from 2010 to 2013.
For your issue, it can be caused by integrating Office Web Apps with upgraded SharePoint Site.
Firstly please make sure claims-based authentication is used by the SharePoint web application that is used to create the new document. Only web applications that use claims-based authentication can open
files in Office Web Apps. To determine the authentication provider for a web application, follow these steps:
1.In SharePoint 2013 Central Administration, click Manage web applications.
2.Select the web application that you want to check, and click Authentication Providers on the ribbon.
The authentication provider must be displayed as Claims Based Authentication for Office Web Apps to work correctly with the web application. To resolve this issue, you can delete the web application and recreate
it using claims-based authentication, or you can change the authentication method of the web application.
Secondly, make sure the WOPI zones match on the SharePoint 2013 and the Office Web Apps Server farm.
To do this, run the following command on the SharePoint Server:
Get-SPWopiZone
The result will be one of the following:.
internal-https
internal-http
external-https
external-http
Next, run the following command on the SharePoint Server.
Get-SPWOPIBinding
In the output, look for WopiZone: zone. If the results from Get-SPWopiZone don’t match the zone that is returned by Get-SPWOPIBinding, run the Set-SPWOPIZone -Zone cmdlet on the SharePoint Server to change
the WOPI zone to match the result from Get-SPWOPIBinding.
If not work, you can try to disconnect SharePoint 2013 from Office Web Apps Server and re-configure Office Web Apps for SharePoint 2013.

Can't log into BOE system using SAP Authentication when using Document Link

Hi all.
We are setting up our dev SBOP 4.0 SP2 system and are working on getting everything configured to our requirements.
What I am currently struggling with is the Document Link functionality.
If you browse to a document (WEBI or Crystal) in the folder view in the BI Launchpad and right click and select Document View, the system presents a static link to the report. The problem is, when I execute that link in another browser window, the system prompts me with the default login screen that consists of the User Name and Password which utilizes the Enterprise authentication by default. Our login authentication is set to SAP everywhere else.
I've already set the parameters for BILaunchpad.properties to allow us to log into the BOE server using our user IDs and that works without a problem. I've also configured the OpenDocument.properties file as well. Neither of these two files seem to have any impact on the screen I'm seeing when I try to use the Document Link. (And yes, I've restarted the tomcat server each time I've made a change to the config files.)
I'm running out of ideas - have any of you encountered this issue before and do you have any suggestions?

Hi,
i saw this also a couple of times that the changes to the "custom" folder wont take affect.
Try the following:
1. Stop the Tomcat
2. Rename the properties file in the custom folder
3. take a backup of the properties file from the config folder
4. make the changes to the properties file in the config folder
5. start tomcat
Maybe this will solve the issue but if you deploy a new Fix Pack or Service Pack these Settings will get override.
If this solved your problem i would recommend you open a Support Message with the SAP Support.

Show 'Text' Document contents instead of using Document Links

I have a requirement from my customer that requires comments to be stored and display both on the planning layout and display instantly in query.
I am aware that documents which type other than text is stored in BIN form, so my first approach is just to assume to work with document with type 'TEXT'.
I am aware this can be partly achieved by using the document links, but are there ways to get round of using document "links"? We want to show <b>instantly</b> the content of the document when the layout is opened and when BW query with the right combinations of characteristic values are displayed.

Yes, for bex, it works only in workbook.
Check F.Group: SKWF_CONTENT. There are many FM for documents which you can use.

Webi - Pass Hierarchy Filter via Document Link

Hi
I am creating WEBI reports on BO 4.0 SP2 patch 8.
I want to pass the parameters from Webi report 1 via document link to Webi report 2.
Within report 1 you can filter the data by the following:
Parameter 1: Customer
Parameter 2: Calender Month
Parameter 3: Profit center Hierarchy
Parameter 1 & 2 work perfectly the selected customer and month passes to report 2.
However Parameter 3: hierarchy is giving me hassles.
I enter the Hierarchy into the document prompt text and key in editing the document link.
On selecting the hyperlink I get the error message:
" Invalid answer 0HIER [ ] for variable ZPCTR_GRP error message WIS 00013."
Has anybody been able to pass a filtered Hierarchy via Document Links on BO 4.0?

I haven't seen this particular issue come through support.
the warning seems to suggest that an invalid selection has been made, however the brackets [ ] show nothing! So perhaps the string's been provided in the wrong format, or text is being returned when infact it needs key. (i'm speculating)
a few questions to begin:
- Are you passing a hiearchy interval as a range parameter ? (i.e. 2 or more nodes/members from different levels in the hierarchy)
- Do you notice a difference when using the other viewer technology: DHTML (WEB) vs JAVA (Rich) ?
It might be worth using the TraceLog service on the webi processing server and DSL_bridge (APS) to capture your workflow, and get more details error messaging. Also, RSTT trace in BW may catch something of interest.

Where can I find document link ?

we have to migrate QM-Notifications, which have documents attached with the services for object-button. The migration of the Notifications is not a problem. However we don't find where the attached documents physically are stored. I searched these forums for 2 days and I tried a lot, but still I only find ID's of all kind. Which function gives me the path to my attached document ? I want to migrate the path if possible, not retrieve the document itself.
Can you please help me as soon as possible ?

I have had to deal with a similar problem. Here is my understanding of the addresses. There is a field in the sales order partner table (VBPA-ADRNR) that links the partner to an address. When you create an order, the address number is copied from the customer master. If you change the address on the order, then VBPA-ADRNR is given a new number to store the new address that you just created.
When you create with reference, the address number in VBPA-ADRNR is copied from the reference order to the new order. If that number is different than what is in the customer master and you change the address on the new order, then the reference order will also be changed because they are tied to the same address number (ADRNR).
The solution is to change copy control. In copy control you can exclude copying the address number when creating with reference. If you do that, then the address in the new order will be the same as the customer master. However, you can then change it without affecting the referenced order. Keep in mind, that if you do this, you won't be able to copy the changed address in the reference order to the new order.

Interal document links messing with display...?

I created a eBook with many internal document links in Acrobat with a PDF file exported from Indesign CS3. When I open it in Digital Editions and start using the links, the layoout of the books gets all screwed up. Anyone out there have any experience with this or suggestions?

Matt, some features of .pdf files are not supported, and I'd be willing to
bet that your messed-up layout is among those features. I'm not 100% sure,
though. You can check ADE Help for more info, and if that doesn't help, you
can call Adobe and start a support case....

Appraisal Documents Link Disabled

Hello All,
Using ESS WDA on EhP5 and for some reason the Appraisal Documents link that I am using from the launchpad is disabled (greyed out).
My launchpad config calls HAP_START_PAGE_POWL_UI_ESS (Services for the Flexible Appraisal Process).
I can test this application in SE80 and it works as expected. Thinking this may be an authorization issue, I've done a couple of traces that show nothing - though I'm not sure if the traces are working as expected either.
Anyone have any thoughts here?

Back button from cross-document link shows Security Settings pane

I have a PDF with many cross-document links (links to page views in another PDF within the same folder). When users have these set to open in the same window, the expected actions occur: the source document closes (or appears to close) and the destination document opens to the chosen page view. However, once we password protect the PDFs, we notice an odd behavior. When the Back button is used to get back to the source document, it takes the user back to the appropriate spot; however, if the user had their bookmarks pane open in the source document, the Security Settings pane is open instead when Back is used.
So, to summarize:
- Cross-document link from source doc to destination doc, preference set for these to open in the same window.
- Source doc and destination doc both password protected.
- Initial view setting for both docs is Bookmarks Panel and Page.
- User has bookmarks pane open in source doc, clicks on cross-document link.
- Source doc closes, destination doc opens as desired.
- User presses Back button.
- Destination doc closes, source doc reopens to the appropriate location - but bookmarks pane is now replaced by the Security pane.
We'd really like to find a way to avoid this; this is a pretty useless pane to have open and the structure of these docs means that users are frequently going to view them with their bookmarks open. Is this a bug? Is there a setting I can dig for? We think it's not happening in Acrobat 9 (I can't confirm, but this is what my client has said) but is happening in 10 and 11, and also in the current version of Reader.
Can anyone shed any light?

afaik - It is build in behavior. Similar to defaulting to display of the pages thumbnail pane in the navigation panel when an "insert" page is done.
There is a certain logic to it so it may have been deliberate. As an end-user I'm not appreciative of such. Some "developer staged user assistance" I can do without.

To load data from an SAP System we have IDoc, and ABAP Proxies, for this we require an Middleware tech, SAP PI is recommended as it come with pre-delivered object that can be used.

Need Single Billing Document for Materials and Services in Sales Order

Hello Friends,
I am selling FERT items and DIEN items in the Sales Order.
Document flow as follows:
Finished goods - Order-Delivery-Billing
Services - Order-Billing
In this process 2 seperate billing documents are created
i. Delivery Related Billing document for Finished goods.
ii. Order related Billing document for services.
I want to create a single billing document for both the items (FG & Services) in the sales order.
Please suggest.

Sorry for the delay friends.
Somebody suggested me to make services 'relevant for delivery' to ensure single billing document.
What I did were the following steps:
1. Copy Item Category TAD to ZTAD and make is 'relevant foir delivery'
2. Assign Item Category ZTAD to Sales Order type and Item Cat Group 'LEIS'
3. Go to Deliveries Item Categories and through new Entries add ZTAD. Make ZTAD relevant for Picking.
4. Go to copy control 'Order to Delivery' and insert ZTAD in Item Categories relevant for this combination.
Now when I create sales order with materials and services, they pass over to the delivery document and in the Services item, storage location/plant is greyed out. Only the picking quantity is required to be filled.
PROBLEM :
I am not getting the price of Services item in the billing document.
Billing document copies all line items (tangible and intangible) from Delivery Document
It takes the services item details/quantities etc. to VF01 but the price comes '00.00'
Any suggestions.
Is this legally viable? Someone told me its not legally correct.

Open Document Link on PO Approval WF

In the PO Approval Workflow, if you have the proper responsibility, an "open document" link is displayed that, when clicked, takes the user to a screen entitled "Notifications to Releases".
This function is available to our Purchasing Super User responsibility but is not available for the Purchasing Approver responsibility. I'm trying to change that.
Using help, I determined that the form associated with "Notifications to Releases" is POXPOERL. That form is assocated with the following functions and menus:

I've tried, under Functional Developer, to add several of these to the menu for Purchasing Approver. When they show up on the menu and I click them, I get a message stating: "You are not setup as a buyer. To access this form you need to be a buyer."
All I want is for people to be able to see and use the "Open Form Command". Am I going about this the wrong way?

I was probably not clear enough in my original question.
We want people who are approvers - but not necessarily buyers - to be able to open the form from the link. I'm not set up as a buyer, but I have the Purchasing Superuser responsibility and I can open the form.
I guess, bottom line... some more information on how to make links to eBiz forms work from WF would be helpful. I've not found much in the Oracle-supplied documentation that we have; I've read what's in the Developer's Guide and the Admin guide. Can anyone suggest a web link or two that might shed more light on the process?
