    Hi, Good morning
We got 15 plants(factories) allover india. Each factory registered under central excise and each plant treated as one business area.  While posting entries through T.Code J1IEX and J2IU it is not capturing Business Area. As a result all entries hitting FI without Business Area Details.

  • Report on Central Excise Part1 & Part2

    Dear Friends,
I've been writing a report for identification of  GRNs/Excise Invoice whose
only Part1 has been done and not Part2.
I have been using the Excise Header (J_1Iexchdr), Part1 (J_1IPart1) and Part2(J_1IPart2) tables.
What could be the logic of finding out those GRNs whose Part1 has been done & Part 2 is still pending.
If anyone has worked on similar assignment pls guide me further with sample code.
    Regards,
    Alok.

    hi ,
In Excise invoice detail table ... you can find fields for Excise Invoice Qty , GR qty (part-1 done) and Credit qty ( Part-2 done) ... i hope based on the value of the said field , you can write the logic

  • Excise duties for tooling amortization

    Dear All,
Our customer paid the tooling amortization amount initially.
We used to send the seperate invoice for this tooling amount.
    Here a doubt arises.
For this scenario, do we have excise values (BED, ECS, SECESS)?
    Could someone confirm?
    Regards,
    Mullairaja

As per Central Excise regulations, if you are adding any tool cost over and above the selling rate, that should be identified clearly.  This means, if you add the tool cost over selling rate, a text should flow in billing document stating "An amount of xxxxxxx is recovered as a tool cost.
If you show the amount separately as I said earlier by way of a condition type, your ABAPer's job is easy by fetching that condition type value in output.
Nevertheless, you add the tool cost or show separately, it should be accounted and showed to Excise authorities clearly.
Better ask the client to check with their Excise Range Office and sought their opinion.

  • Excise invoice for semifinished goods

    Hii all,
m doing a MIGO for a Excisable SemiFinished material , i have maintained J1iD for this material with Material and Chapter-ID combination correctly, during MIGO  getting a error, Excise Invoice cannot be captured for RG1(Finished Goods) material. In migo time also i checked in Excise tab, material is FINISHED GOODS only with description SemiFinished material. plz reply.

    Hi,
Under the Central Excise law ,Central Excise duty is levied and collected on the goods/commodities manufactured in India. As you are manufacturing goods, you must be knowing Conditions for Liabilities of Excise Duty on goods.
As your business permits and procure raw material or semi finished goods to produced finished goods and all excise duties are used for Set off or may be inventoried, You can declared that material as RAW MATERIAL in J1ID instead of finished goods and carry out process all procurement process.
Select EI capture& Post EI in MIGO in MIGO settings for the excise group.

  • Difference between VAT AND EXCISE DUTIES

    HI ginius
can any body give the difference between vat and excise duties

VAT  is value added tax.  a tax levied by the government at the time of sales earlier it was LST ( local sales tax ) this is livied by the state goverments.
ok...example  .like if colgae is manufacturing toothpaste and yu are buying it ... so at the time of buying ap[art from the price of material you are payin the vat also.
but wher as excise duty is concerend it is levied by the central excise departments
it is lived on colgate company after it manufactured the product even before selling the toothpaste colgate should pay excise to central excise dept on toothpaste becasue it manufactured it in india ( ofcourse it again collects frm the customer by hiking price )
and excise is calulate don advolrem basis whcih is approx 16% on base price.

    Hi Sudhir,
SAP will pick Exchange rate type M for translations by default and you cannot change it.  So you have to change the exchange rate type for your invoice or maintain same rates for that day alone.
This is what is given in SAP documentation:
"For posting and clearing, the system uses the exchange rate type M (average rate). This exchange rate type must be entered in the system and you must also enter the exchange rates for this type."
For more info on exchange rate types read this:

  • Excise Scenarios in India

Hi ... is there any link for the Central Excise Process and in simple language and in short . With various recoprds we need to maintain and formats required . Pls do not give the link of Govt of Indias Central Excise website. I have already checked that site for terrif and reulations, act but its too complicated and its not easy to understand
I need something which is related to pure Processes / busines. But in somehow simple language
I need the the Process and various scenarios in Excise and Cen VAT .. for an example For Capital Goods when we take GR Excise entries get posted and CenVAT Credit can be taken in part 50 % in current year and balance 50 % in next year.
Another example is When we are sending some equipments outside for ome work on Returnable gate Pass if these material is coming back within 180 days then no need to reverse excise entries . If coming after 180 days we have to reverse the excise entries .
I need such type of provisions for reversing and posting excise in short so that I can built my Test Scnarios accordingly. After all before handing over my module to client for testing I want to test it throughly so that there will be no doubled work .
    Hope you understand my requirement
Please do not send Govt of Indias CBEC link  , I have already checked it

  • Single Delivery Multiple Excise Invoice

    Hi All,
We have scenario where in we have a single delivery & single Invoice. But based on either delivery or invoice we need mulitple excise invoice. Is it possible to create mulitple excise invoices or is there any user exist vavailable for the same.
    Regards,
    Mahendra

    Dear Bala
Either you have to create delivery based on the consignment what you are physically despatching based on which you can create commercial invoice and excise invoice.
On the other hand, still if you feel that this will not work for the client, you have to take multiple copies of that excise invoice and each and every time, the subsequent consignment goes out from the manufacturing plant, the copy has to be handed over to the truck driver.  Of course, you need to have prior approval from Central Excise authorities for doing so.
But for me, the first one above is the best solution.
    thanks

  • Hi,  can any body explain the concept of UTILIZATION IN EXCISE

    hi,
    sap gurus,
can any body explain the concept of Utilization in excise,  if possible send me the documentation
    part of that please.
please explain me on this also
in direct factory sales from direct factory to customer how utilisation works
in depot sales: first material has to reach from factory to depot and then it has to be passed to
customer then in this situation  how utilisation works in SAP.
    regards,
    balaji.t

    Dear balaji
Export under Rebate is the procedure in which the exporters first pay the central excise duty before clearing the goods from the factory and subsequently get it back by applying for rebate after the goods are exported.  They have to apply to the Division or to the Maritime Commissioner (designated exclusively to look after all Export related issues) as the case may be, along with the required documents (usually the Export Promotion copy of the Shipping Bill and Bill of Lading) to prove that their goods had actually been exported.
Rebate can be claimed for both the inputs (purchased from indigenous markets and used in the manufacture of exported goods) as well as for the final products.  Normally, rebate is being widely opted by non-excise assessees (for example garment exporters) who procure raw materials locally, manufacture their final products and export them.   It is similar to Drawback of Customs duties in respect of Imported raw materials.
From SD side, you have to make settings in Logistics-General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Business Transactions --> Outgoing Excise Invoices --> Maintain Default Excise Groups and Series Groups.
Here for the combination of sales area, shipping point, plant, excise group and series group, you have to maintain Export type [N under the tab Export]
    thanks

  • Consignment Sales - Excise reversal

    Dear Friends,
I have a scenario in consignment sales, where i raise an excise invoice during the fill-up process based on the assessable value & during the issue i give a discount on the assessable value to the customer. Based on the quantity consumed (issued) i raise an commercial invoice every fortnight. Since the excise has been calculated on the assessable value which is more than the actual value billed during issue, i have to claim back the excess excise amount paid to the government.
Request your inputs & suggestions on how to map this process in the system.
    Regards,
    Padamanabhan

    Dear Padmanabhan
The process should be as follows:-
While despatching materials to warehouse, you charge only excise duty and no sales tax.  In the next stage, while despatching from warehouse to end customer, you charge both sales tax and excise duty.  If you are clear in this concept, you can configure accordingly.
You have to account the excise duty in such a way that for whatever amount you paid while moving to warehouse, it should tally with what you charge on customer and in fact, this should not be less than what you paid originally.
Let us take an example, if you pay excise duty of INR 1000.00 while moving to warehouse against one proforma, you would be selling part quantities to end customer with various invoices in which the respective excise duty and sales tax would be debited.  You need to show the total excise duty which should tally with what you pay initially to Central Excise authorities.
    thanks

  • Clubbing of multiple excise invoices

    Dear All,
Is Clubbing of multiple excise invoice for a single commercial invoice generation for export possible in ECC6.0?
    Regards
    Subrat

    Dear Subrat
First of all, what warrants you to club multiple excise invoice for one billing??
Secondly, it is NOT possible and in fact, we are not suppose to do as per Central Excise Law.

  • Excise in Export sales

    Dear Friends,
I have requirement where I need to do an export sale but all the excise duties are applicable similar to domestic customer. All the excise values in my export pricing procedure are statistical u2026How I can go with this?
    Thanks
    Isaac

    Dear Rithvika,
This is a Export sale to Nepal where the Excise regulations are given below:
When goods liable to duties of excise in India are dispatched to Nepal through land the exporter or his agent shall observe the following procedure of the registered factory or warehouse or premises as approved by the Commissioner of Central Excise, from where the excisable goods are removed for export to Nepal:-
    He shall pay the duties of excise and other duties leviable on the goods, if not already paid;
    (ii) He shall clear the goods on the duty paying invoices which should be prepared in quadruplicate and marked u201CFor export to Nepalu201D;
1.Excise Invoice (No bond) created with reference to a Export Proforma generates Acconting doc but my question is how this should be knocked off as the Export Accounting doc wont show the excise as they are statistical?
    2. I dont think Creating a new shiping point is the right option.Iam sure there should be process defined to handle this.
    Thanks
    Isaac
