Certification Renewal Statuses

Hi all
I would appreciate some advice regarding Certification statuses for renewable certifications.
If a learner is currently well in date (say this runs out in two months time) and the renew icon is active for the certification they get two different certification statuses depending on whether the certification is linked to online or offline learning.
1. With online learning if the user clicks on renew the certification status remains as Certified but the progress changes from Completed to Active (which is what I would expect) once they play the online assessment (and pass) if revert back to Certified/Completed.
2. If the certification is linked to offline learning and the learner clicks on the renew icon the status changes to Certified with a progress of Inactive, but the moment they enrol on an attached offline class the status changes to Subscribed/Inactive. Surely this should still display Certified / Active as they are still technically in date.
Has anyone experienced this or can give an explanation?

Hi Pip,
This has nothing to do with online / offline learning in itself. This has to do with the parameters you used when you originally set up your Certification, when the different events happened and what Courses/Classes are available to the different users.
There are a lot of parameters involved in this and you need to know all of it in order to comment on this.
I will suggest you contact Oracle Support, they can go through your specific setup and situation and advice you.
You can read a short description of the different statuses in the OLM User Manual in the chapter Catalog - Learning Certifications - Learning Certifications Statuses.

I see that you have an Acrobat Pro subscription. To cancel that, please Contact Customer Care. Choose Acrobat from the top drop-down menu, and then choose Membership, Account, and Payment. Click the blue "Still Need Help?" button at the bottom of the page to find both phone and chat options.

ILearning - Decode Certification performance status

Hi All,
We want to create an iLearning report that lists out users and their certification status and we are trying to understand what column/table the 'Repeat' and 'Expired' is decoded from. If we look in the 'Enrollmenrt List' for a Certfication Offering, we can see user staus such as, 'Repeat', 'Expired', etc, but we are unsure which table/column to decode this information from. The status field in Certification Performance, seems to have the same values as Performance table ('P','F','I','C')

The cert status you see in the enrollment list in iLearning is derived from information on the offering enrollment record including the cert period start date, cert period end date, initial certification days, renewal certification days, certification expire notification date, etc.
The certification_performance record only provides information about learner's progress in the current certification period. You should be able to determine the learner's status in the certification based on a comparison of the current date as it relates to the other information on the offerng_enrollment record as above. For example, if the cert period end date is less than the current date, the user would be expired.

Creative cloud renewed - status active but AAM & tools says expired!

Status in the web is active but the AAM says expired.
Support is not directly reachable. (although subscription; great support!)

SAPRouter Certification renew fail.getting error while generating new Cert

I m working in SAP BASIS support project.
Our SAP router certification expired.
Now i m trying to renew the Router Certificate to get connection with SAP.
The fallowing steps i am doing ...
Taken backup of SAPROUTER folder ie: c:\SAPROUTER\
i have deteted the files local.pse, Cert_V2, srcert.txt and certreq from c:\SAPROUTER\
Step 1:
In the SAP Router PC, given the   sapgenpse command from SAPROUTER path
C:\SAPROUTER>sapgenpse get_pse -v -r certreq -p local.pse "CN=SAP1, OU=0000809334, OU=SAProuter, O=SAP, C=DE"
Got absolute PSE path "C:\SAPROUTER\local.pse".

Certification renewal

Hello Guys,
My CCNP certification is expiring in December. CCDP certification involves switch, route and ARCH. Switch and Route are already covered in CCNP. Can someone confirm if i give CCDP Arch paper, will it renew my CCNP certification.
OR
Do i need to give CCDA first and then complete CCDP.
Please advise.

Prerequisites
Valid Cisco CCDA and CCNA Routing and Switching or any Cisco CCIEcertification can act as a prerequisite.

Certification Renewal / Upgrade Path (VCP-DCV to VCDX-DCV)

I understand that for the re-certification that you may upgrade to a higher-level certification (VMware documentation notes VCP5-DCV upgrading to VCDX5-DCV) and that you may upgrade to the same level of certification on the newer version of vSphere (VCP5-DCV upgrading to VCP6-DCV when available).
Is it possible to upgrade both the version and focus while re-certifying?
     Ex. VCP5-DCV -> VCDX6-DCV (when available)
               vs.
     VCP5-DCV -> VCP6-DCV -> VCDX6-DCV (when available)
I would like to minimize the amount of coursework as much as possible. I am very much interested in upgrading to the V6 version of the certificate but would rather spend my efforts on the VCDX6 than re-earning a cert so to speak. Any input is appreciated.

I was trying to generalize and realize I may have caused more confusion than helped explain what I was asking. Thank you for helping me figure this path out. The VCDX is the ultimate goal.
Below is essentially what I am curious about and see similar posed in message 2473773 now that I re-word it again. Can you upgrade your "level" and "version" at the same time or do you have to upgrade to the current "version" first? (I realize you can also upgrade the "level" in the same/old "version" but would prefer to stay as current as possible).

1b. Can you go from VCP4-DCV > VCIX6-DCV > VCDX6-DCV

Learning Path/Certification modifications

I know that's an oxymoron - but is there anyone out there who has a graceful (or even not-so-graceful) way of managing changes that occur to Learning Paths or Certifications?
In particular, what if a Certification renewal period changes? We may have all the same course content, but with a regulatory requirement to renew the certification more often or less frequently.

Kate,
You are allowed to change the renewal period on a Certification even if there are Learners subscribed. So I would suggest you just change the renewal period directly.
This will only affect Learners once they start their next certification period, so in this case you need to ask them to take their next certification prior to what they thought.

Unable to play online assessment as certificate states learner not subscribed

We have a number of calls from learners who are renewing a certification and have a certification subscription status of Renewing with current progress of Active but cannot play the associated learning object as they receive the error message "You cannot launch this learning object because you have not subscribed to the certification". Has anyone experienced the same issue or is able to explain how this occurs and what to do about it?

This forum deals with Certifications of Oracle Products independently delivered by a independent organisation (Pearson VUE) assessing People have demonstrate minimal incompetence in an oracle area, e.g. Oracle Database Administration, Oracle Linux, ..... etc etc etc for which they are awarded certificates from oracle.
I believe you are looking for help on an aspect on how the Oracle Learning Management, 12.1.3 is working for you.

I have a number of packages and functions that were created before my time on oracle 8i that work great there, however I am trying to upgrade the database to Oracle 10G and most all of the packages and functions are now invalid.

I’m not sure what needs changed to get this to work. The table aswihart.preship definitely does exist, in a different schema in the same database.

Hi,
you need to grant rights from the owner of the table to the user who ownes the package. In 10g some roles have less rights, so this lost the user rights on the table. So start to make a grant select and insert on the table:
grant select,insert on preship to TBORGESON;See if this helps and get more compiled packages.

I was requested add SSL Configuration to console;
I'm using keytool; It is not first time I setup SSL on weblogic console, only version is different;
before I did susssessfully on weblogic 11g(10.3.2-10.3.5) using the same scenario;
My steps:
1.generate key;

2. create cert

How do i make the policy provider trust this new certificate that was created? When i renewed the certificate everything looks good on the subca and root ca. The new certificate is not in the nps servers so i tried manually importing it and that still did
not work. I noticed when i open the wireless network policy properties under constraints and open the Microsoft: Smart Card or other certificate eap type the new certificate is not in there. Any suggestions? Thank you!

can you copy client certificate to NPS server and run the following command against this certificate:
certutil -verify -urlfetch path\clientcert.cer
and show us the output.

Certification status of Oracle 10g server on windows 7

Hi all,
I'm trying to understand if Oracle 10g server is certified on windows 7, but I have found conflicting informations.
Note 952302.1 "Is Microsoft Windows 7 certified to install/run Oracle Database Server/Client ?" says :
"Microsoft Windows 7" certification will begin with "Oracle Database 11gR2 (11.2.0.x)". That means, Oracle Database 11gR2 will be the first Oracle Database product certified/supported to install/run on "Microsoft Windows 7".
Oracle also planning to certify "10.2.0.5 Client" on Windows 7. Please refer following article for further information

Note 1061272.1 "Statement of Direction: Oracle Database 10g Release 2 Client (10.2.0.5) with Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2" has only informations related to oracle 10g CLIENT.
So far, so good: Oracle clearly says that only oracle 10g client is certified on windows 7...
However, if I look for info in the "certification" tab in Metalink I found conflicting informations. I have build a matrix looking for:
Product: "Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition"
Release / version: All release / Versions
Platform / Version: "Microsoft Windows (32 bit) > 7"
Tier: All tiers
And - surprise!- I see that Oracle 10gR2 is in the "Extended Support" status !
The certifications detail says that Oracle 10.2.0.5.0 is required, and that "11gR1 database and client and 10gR2 database certification are not planned for Windows 7" !
This is really a mess!
Did you found some clearer documentations ?
How can we shed some light on this topic?

How to know status of my certification

i attempted my oca 9i exam in 2006 . is there any online link where i can see status of my oca certification & test id etc.

Prometric exam records were always sent Oracle.
With the advent of Certview the relevant exam pass/fail/taken result can be seen by the candidate on Certview. In addition the Candidates Certification status is also available through certview.
I dont believe any certifcation records are sent from Oracle to Certview Pearson from that related to authentication.
However it is necessary to register on Pearson to update some personal profile things on Certview.

Aman....Anyway what Aman (who indeed is a most excellent fellow) and myself will agree on is:
- Candidate should register on Certview: http://blogs.oracle.com/certification/2009/09/0136.html
- Candidate should locate their Oracle Testing Id. (whcih is thier old prometric Id.).
- Registering with Pearosn VUE may be helpful, or even necessary, but ensure you indicate you have previously tested and enter your old Prometric Id. as your Oracle Testing Id.

Student edition 24 month extended access guaranteed renewal academic status

I am trying to renew my student edition 24 month access guarentee subscription because I paid extra for 12 extra months but when I try and renew it, I get stuck at the academic status step. I fill in all the information but it will not let me click continue. What do I do?

I would require the following details to investigate further:
1. Order number
2. Email associated with it
3. Educational proof of eligibility.
