CF7 with SunONE 6.1 on Linux

I haven't found the right documentation that explains how to
connect CF7 with SunONE Web Server 6.1 (no longer iPlanet - those
instructions are outdated for this product!!)
Maybe I am connected but missing some step. The CF7 admin gui
works fine, but when visiting a CF page such as index.cfm, I see
the code rather than the rendered page. What am I missing?
Thanks!
Aaron

The steps in the installation process do, in fact, work to
connect CF7 to SunONE 6.1. This was evident to me when I visited
the root website (not a virtual host) and accessed a CF page. This
worked from the beginning. My true problem had to do with
multihoming - see other posting.

  • Performance problems with jdk 1.5 on Linux plattform

Performance problems with jdk 1.5 on Linux plattform
(not tested on Windows, might be the same)
After refactoring using the new features from java 1.5 I lost
    performance significantly:
    public Vector<unit> units;
    The new code:
    for (unit u: units) u.accumulate();
runs more than 30% slower than the old code:
    for (int i = 0; i < units.size(); i++) units.elementAt(i).accumulate();
    I expected the opposite.
Is there any information available that helps?

You are right that I am using j2ee 1.4 final release.
I donot know much about connector 1.5 resource adapter and donot have one. Is there no other way that i can integrate an external JMS provider with sunone?
I intend to do the following.
    - define the connection factory object & destination object in the external JNDI or any JNDI of sunone so that the applications can lookup these objects.
    - Now i want to deploy a MDB which creates connection using the conn factory and listens for messages on destination defined in the jndi in the first step.
Thats all i want to do. Do you know which is the easier and best approach to do that?

  • ColdFusion MX7 with Sunone Webserver 7.0

    Hi All,
I have an issue configuring my webserver with CF MX7.
The problem is the CF admin page opens when the Sun webserver
is not configured and CF uses its own internal webserver.
Once i configure Sun's webserver i get an error not opening
the admin page. It tries to open the admin page with notepad.
I am not sure whether CF MX7 is compatible with Sunone
    webserver 7.0 or not?
Or all this is a totally different aspect of looking at it.
Anyone has any idea how to deal with this issue, kindly help
    me out.
    Thanks,
    Vamsee.

It looks like we have never tested ColdFusion 7 with Sunone
    7. Check out this Support matrix. It shows that only Sunone 6.x
versions are supported. Have you tried versions 6?

  • JWS failure with iFS 1.1.9 linux

    Hi everybody,
Since my update from ifs 1.1.5 linux to
ifs 1.1.9 linux,I have noticed that jws hasn't been working anymore!
The content of JWS.log is the following one:
libserver.so: cannot open shared object file:No such file or directory (libserver.so)
After searching for libserver.so I discovered that files named libserver.so could only be found in two oracle home subdirectories:
    ./ifs1.1/jws/lib/solaris/sparc/
    and
    ./ifs1.1/jws/native/solaris/sparc/
Here is the configuration on which iFS is running:
    Pentium II 400 Mhz
    RAM 384 Mo
    OS: Linux Suse 7.0
The Oracle database is on another machine:
    Celeron 500 Mhz/512 Mo RAM/Windows NT Server.
Have you already experienced a similar problem with iFS 1.1.9 linux ?
Could someone give an explanation to me ?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Jean-Claude

I always get that same error in jws, and ifsstart sometimes cannot start jws. Have you tried to start jws by the web interface http://server:1717/ ?

gmake -j > build.log 2>&1Any idea about what is going wrong?
    Thanks.

Possibly the actual CC (or cc) command lines are not correct. The proper way to say not to link libCstd is the command-line option -library=no%Cstd. Then you don't need to add the default system libraries like -lc to the command line.
Can you show the actual CC command lines that are generated by the makefile? They should be in the compilation log. I'd also like to see the command line(s) used to create dynamic libraries, if any, and the final executable.

  • Transaction behavior changed with change in Windows to Linux Environment

    Hi All,
I am facing a very weird problem.
I have a 2 BPEL Synchronous Services lets say A & B. A calls B in its flow and B inserts a row into database and then retrieves the inserted row (as the primary key is sequence generated through a Trigger).
This flow was working perfectly when:
    ·     It was on windows Development Box with SOA SUITE and DB Server on the same machine.
    ·     All the DB adapters had jca:Address information in it.
    Problem:
    ·     After moving them to a Unix box with a remote DB Server, I am seeing the problem that retrieval is happening before commit of insert and failing.
    Point to remember:
    ·     Insertion, selection, assignment all are happening in the different ‘SCOPE’
    ·     I have tried even putting them in a single scope but error remained same.
    ·     I have even tried putting a wait between them, so it’s a plain “Transaction not commited “issue
I am expecting it could be an issue with the way Data source has been created or something else.
Please suggest your pointers on this.
    Thank you.

    Hi Win
    1. There is absolutely NO changes or specific requirements to deploy a portal EAR created from Windows and deploying on Unix or Linux Env. We do this very often. I export my entire portal applicatoin (EAR, WAR and dataSync if its there) from Workshop or Eclipse (10.3.2) IDE as .EAR file. Then we can deploy this .EAR file pretty much in any Portal Domain on any Env like Linux. So first I want to clarify that there is NO need to change any files or do steps to deploy a portal EAR from Windows to Linux Env.
    2. Now coming to your error, the root cause seems to be this: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.beehive.netui.pageflow.PageFlowContextListener
    a) On Windows did you test your EAR on a Portal Domain. I assume you may have already did this.
    b) Is the domain that you created on the Linux Env and its version matches exactly with what you had in Windows Env. Say in Windows if you have WLP 10.3.1, then on Linux also you should have WLP 10.3.1. If not, you need to upgrade your portal EAR first in Windows to 10.3.x and then deploy.
    c) Compare the config.xml file modules specially the portal framework shared modules. They should be same in both Windows and Unix except for the location ofcourse.
    d) On Windows, by any chance did you deploy any extra additional modules in the portaldomain. If so do the same on Linux Env also.
    e) Other then config.xml file, all the other details are within the .EAR file itself like weblogic.xml, weblogic-application.xml file etc etc.
    f) So better compare you config.xml file in both the working and not working Envs.
    g) Also on Linux, are you deploying on Single Server domain or cluster domain. If cluster, make sure you deploy your portalEar only to Cluster because none of hte shared modules are deployed to Admin. So deploy only to cluster.
    Thanks

  • How to install Oracle 10g with its grid functionality on Linux?

Well, I thought changing the subject line might help to convey the meaning of what I want better. Here's my earlier post from a few hours earlier.
    Hi,
I need carry out TPC-C benchmarking test for Oracle 10g (using one, two and four servers; basically using the grid in case of multiple servers). I have installed oracle 10g (with default options) on all the four servers, but beyond that I have no idea as to how can I invoke the grid option in order to carry out the tests-by my statement, I mean do I need to choose grid option while installing Oracle or is it the case that I specify the grid option in the code that I write for carrying out the tests. The OS is LInux (Scientific Linux).
An unrelated problem-one of the servers is 64 bit while others are 32 bit, and proper versions of oracle have been installed. Neglecting the obvious fact that this will make comparisons difficult does anyone anticipate any other problem?
    Many Thanks!
    Steve

Do you think that the installation of RAC can be done
in a week? yes, as long as you know what you are doing and can catch the concept quickly and good at following instructions.
Moreover, we do not have a cluster-all we
have are four servers that are separate. Do you know
if the name Real Application Clusters implies that
the servers have to be in a cluster?
The basic idea of RAC is all these hosts need to share same set of storage. The most popular such storage are SAN and NAS.
