CFGRID with bind to CFC for an incorrect JAVAScript

Hi,
I am using CF11 with SQL server 2012 & IIS8.0 on windows server 2012.
When I am using a CFGRID bind to a CFC and passing 2 or more than 2 parameters from a FORM, it fails for an incorrect JavaScript.
Using the below code:
<cfgrid attributeCollection="#args#"
bind="cfc:MaintenanceMenuComponent.getLookUpData({cfgridpage},{cfgridpagesize},{cfgridsortcolum n},{cfgridsortdirection},{appl},{search})"
       onchange="cfc:MaintenanceMenuComponent.editLookUpData({cfgridaction},{cfgridrow},{cfgridchanged})"
       onerror="errorHandler" bindOnLoad="true">
Getting Result:
JavaScript Error for:
SyntaxError: missing ; before statement
...id'] = 'applid,appl,,value;'search,search,,value';var _cf_gridDataModel = Ext.cr...
I have checked the Adobe blog and found that this type of bug (Bug ID# 3759630) is already reported and fixed in ColdFusion 11 Update 1 (Suggested by Anit Kumar Panda Ref: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3759630).
I have sent update request to '[email protected]' but did not receive any update from them yet.
As this update is still not available on Adobe site, can anyone send me that link of the update or let me know if there any workarounds.
Thanks in advance

MAHI,
The issue exists and is fixed. The fix would be made available in a future udpate. The error you are reporting seems different, though.
The bind attribute appears to have a typo. Shouldn't "{cfgridsortcolum n}" just be "{cfgridsortcolum}", or is that intended?
The email address that you wrote to for the fix seems correct. Can you pls. resend the request.

  • CF11 cfgrid with binding.

    CF11 cfgrid with binding not work like with CF10.  Example
    bind="cfc:focasaDBAccess.getInfo({cfgridpage},
    {cfgridpagesize},
    {cfgridsortcolumn},
    {cfgridsortdirection},
    {internet},{agentur})">
    This dont work. Only with one additional arguments. Either "internet" or "agentur". With CF10 this work with much more additional arguments.
    Thanks

    how does cf11 cfgrid binding works with additional arguments
    at least eight or more.
    Thanks for support

    I have verified what you observed. You should report it as a ColdFusion 11 bug.

  • cfselect with bind to cfc works but is followed by 500 Jrun javax.servlet.ServletException

    All;
    This is driving me crazy.
    I have a CFC with a function that returns countries via remote as JSON with the // prefix as Cold Fusion is configured.
    I call it with the following url
    www.mydomain.com/getCountriesAndStates.cfc?method=getCountries&returnFormat=json&argumentC ollection={}&_cf_nodebug=true&_cf_nocache=true
    It returns countries according to the Cold Fusion specs (just imagine it returning all countries, didn't want to paste it all the countries here).
    //[[0.0,"Please select a country..."],["US","UNITED STATES"],["CA","CANADA"]]
    I bind a <cfselect for countrycode to this CFC and it works about 30% of the time.
    Here is the <cfselect
    <cfselect name="CountryCode" id="spanCountryCode" bind="cfc:getCountriesAndStates.getCountries()" bindonload="true"  onChange="DEdetermineTohide(this.id, '1')" onKeyUp="DEdetermineTohide(this.id, '1')">
            </cfselect>
    It has a second function that returns the States with a CountryCode as the argument.
    I call it with the follow url
    /getCountriesAndStates.cfc?method=getStateProvince&returnFormat=json&argumentCollection={" countrycode":"US"}&_cf_nodebug=true&_cf_nocache=true
    It returns states according to the old Fusion specs (just imagine it returning all the states, didn't want to paste all the states here.)
    //[[0.0,"Please select a state..."],["AL","ALABAMA"],["AK","ALASKA"]]
    I bind a <cfselect to this CFC with the countrycode as an argument and it populates the states for the countrycoe about 30% of the time.  It fails when the getCountries call fails.
    Here is the State <cfselect
    <cfselect name="StateCode" bind="cfc:getCountriesAndStates.getStateProvince({CountryCode})">
            </cfselect>
    I have a third funtion that returns whether or not the country selected has States and Zip Codes.  I call this function from a seperate javascript script included in the header and fired from the <cfselect name="CountryCode for onChange or onKeyUp.  It basically determines whether or not to show or hide both the State or Zip span but calls the CFC so that I can encapsulate everything in one place.  So the state and zip span with <cfselect and <cfinput appear and disappear based on the information about the country and state and the labels can change too from State to Province and from Zip to Postal Code etc...
    /getCountriesAndStates.cfc?method=getStateZipMetaData&returnFormat=json&argumentCollection ={"countrycode":"US"}&_cf_nodebug=true&_cf_nocache=true
    Ok, so I hope I have described enough about what I am doing.  This works about 30% of the time and fails about 70% of the time.  Flawlessly.  Sometimes it works for hours.  But eventually for some reason AFTER a perfectly good JSON response is returned from Cold Fusion, the Cold Fusion server starts following the JSON response with a 500 Serverlet Exception error.  This happesn on all function calls until I reboot my machine.
    It is driving me mad and making me start to reconsider whether or not I want to use CFForm binding.  It seems like a nice elegant solution that really simplifies and reduces the amount of javascript I have to write, but I can't go to production with forms that produce 500 server errors.
    Anyone have any ideas on what is going on?  If this is a bug?
    Should I just stay away from <cfform binding?
    Please help because it is driving me really crazy.
    My platform information is below.
    About 70% of the time it returns all the countries followed by a 500 Servlet Exception error.

    Ok, so I think I answered this for myself.  This may be ignorant.  Whatever.  I haven't programmed CF in over 10 years and just started again a month ago, so I think advanced CFC and javascript is a lot.
    I seperated my CFC into a directory with a Alias mapping under Apache and a CF Mapping from CFIDE
    I trimmed down the application.cfc
    It was
    <cfset This.clientstorage="Cookie">
    That was causing the remoting CFC's to return a 500 Jrun Servlet Error
    I am just going to keep my remote CFC's seperate from the rest of my application anyway because they need a different type of security schema.
    So, if anyone struggles with this.  I recommend just put your remotely accessd CFC's in a seperate virtual directory mapped from your webserver and CF and lock them down both with a trimmed down application.cfc and some kind of security.
    They also seem to run much faster now combined with my other Ajax and Javascript.

  • Autosuggest with bind to cfc only displaying every 2nd character

    This seems a bit strange. As I enter text (even slowly) the autosuggest only seems to display after every 2nd character entered.
    You can view the problem at http://karaoke.com.au in the search fields. It occurs in all 3 search entry fields (Disc, Title and Artist) In addition, as you remove characters, the autosuggset doesn't always update either?
    Any autosuggestions anyone?

    Hey Adam,
    Thanks for taking the time to take a look. I'm a bit surprised that you are getting the correct result there? I tested in IE8 and FF3 as well.
    As you type in a title, say, "To all the girls I've loved before" as you type the "T" I'm expecting the autosuggest to start suggesting my top 20 of titles beginning with "T" but, what I see is the little ajax loading spinner and then nothing until after I type in the next 2 characters when all of a sudden, I get the autosuggest. Having got the autosuggest displayed once, when I start deleting characters, I tend to get the expected behaviour as I go back one character at a time. Please note that no matter how slow I go, I still get these symptoms???
    Anyway here's my code for the form:
    <div class="search_element">
        <label for="disc">Disc</label><br />
        <cfinput style="width:60px;height:16px;" name="disc" value="#request.search.songs.disc#" autosuggest="cfc:karaoke.com.auto_suggest.find_disc({cfautosuggestvalue})" autosuggestminlength="1" maxresultsdisplayed="20">
      </div>
      <div class="search_element">
        <label for="disc">Title</label><br />
        <cfinput style="width:130px;height:16px;" name="title" value="#request.search.songs.title#" autosuggest="cfc:karaoke.com.auto_suggest.find_title({cfautosuggestvalue})" autosuggestminlength="1" maxresultsdisplayed="20"></cfinput>
      </div>

    And here's the CFC:

  • Genrating unique tagIds with in a repeater for acessing from javascript

    Hello BEA experts,
    I am trying to generate unique tagids for elements with in a repeater so as to be able to access them using javascript to do some validations , I tried using scriptlets like <%=i%> and also tried using the {container.index} property by appending it to the tagId ,but they are not being generated uniquely ..
    Can anyone point me out in the right direction has anyone done this before..Any hints?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Bob
    Here is a sample to generate unique id's and access them in java script.
    I basically had the tagid generated using expressions to be unique like below
    <netui:checkBox tagId="<%=checkBox+(j++)%>"
    dataSource="{container.item.chkBox}" />
    Thanks

    Here is the full jsp source:

  • LOV(af:selectOneChoice) with bind variable in af:table

    Hi All,
    I have a table where a column is defined as dropdown(af:selectOneChoice). The query for selectOneChoice has a bind variable which needs to be set as a value from the base view Object corresponding row.
    Suppose a table Employee
    EmpId EmpName EmpType Authorization
    101 John Temp No
    The above table is created as af:table and 'Authorization' is implemented as dropdown(af:selectOneChoice) . The selectOneChoice has a query(AuthorizationLovVVO) with bind variable . For each row of af:table(EmployeeVO) , af:selectOneChoice query(AuthorizationLovVVO) requires
    the corresponding row(EmployeeVO) 'EmpType' to be set as value of bind variable.
    Can you please suggest how can we achieve this functionality.

    I have checked the following post where it has been suggested to access the the current row value as groovy expression.
    groovy for bind variable
    Suppose my AM name is 'TestAM' , i have tried the below expressions for value of bind variable but it does not work :
    1) adf.object.TestAM.findViewObject('EmployeeVO1').currentRow.EmpType
    2) adf.object.TestAMDataControl.findViewObject('EmployeeVO1').currentRow.EmpType
    None of the above expressions work and i get the error while running the page as 'Variable NotesAM is not recognized.' / 'Variable NotesAMDataControl is not recognized.' .
    Can you please suggest if we can achieve the functionality using this approach . Also let me know if i am missing something in the above expression.

  • How to use p_mainsearch parameter in basic search for a report with bind variable?

    Hello,
    I'd like to extend the basic-search in content-area elements to extra records in my own tables.
    So I'd like to use the p_mainsearch-urlparameter (which holds the searchtext of a basic search) into a bind variable of my own report. My report will be on an extra tab on the search-page.
    Especially I don't know how to transfer the value of p_mainsearch into the bind variable of the report.
    Has anyone done that so far?
    Example?
    Thank you,
    Joerg

    I found out the following way:
    1.)Report
    1.1)SQL-Query:
    select * from <owner>.<tablename> where UPPER(column) like '%'||UPPER(NVL(:searchtext,'abczyx123098'))||'%'
    (Note: bind variable is :searchtext).
    1.2)in "before displaying page"-section in "additional plsql" add the following:
    if length(get_value('p_mainsearch')) >= 3 then
    portal30.wwv_name_value.replace_value(
    l_arg_names, l_arg_values, p_reference_path||'.searchtext,
    portal30.wwv_standard_util.string_to_table2(get_value('p_mainsearch')));
    end if;
    1.3) publish as portlet
    2.) Integrate the report-portlet into a new tab on search page. Run basic search.
    Change to the tab with the portlet.
    For me it is solved.
    Joerg.

  • WCF Published Orch - Could not find a base address that matches scheme http for the endpoint with binding MetadataExchangeHttpBinding

    I have an orchestration published as a web service.  It was working fine on our test environment, we deployed to production, and now getting this error.  The website wouldn't go in the BizTalk MSI, so we copied the files.  We reset the Authentication
    to match the test system (we are using Basic Auth).
    When we try to browse the webservice in the browser, it prompt for userid/password, we enter it, then it gives the following error.
    I'm not even sure what it means by "base address", if URL was https://prod.mydomain.com/myapp/myservice.svc, would https://prod.mydomain.com be the based address? In the test environment, the URL is https://test.mydomain.com/myapp/myservice.svc.
    In both environments, we have a customer calling this webservice.
    Also, I don't know what it means "scheme http".  We are using https:... on the URL.
    I'm thinking this is either security related, something to do with the app pool being different, or maybe something to do with bindings.

    When you want to migrate Web Applications from one environment to other there are multiple ways to achieve it.
    1) Migrate in MSI- Export MSI and select the option for your Web Application, however I don't recommend this option
    2) Is to browse the folder for Web Application(Right click on web app and browse). Copy this folder(normally within inetpub folder) and take it to the inetpub folder of other environment. Later from the IISManager create application.
    Are you not using the same Binding file?
    Check you web.config file and see if the endpoint is configured for mexHTTpBinding.
    Old: binding="mexHttpBinding"
    New: binding="mexHttpsBinding"
    web.config snippet:
    <services>
    <service behaviorConfiguration="ServiceBehavior" name="LIMS.UI.Web.WCFServices.Accessioning.QuickDataEntryService">

    contract="LIMS.UI.Web.WCFServices.Accessioning.QuickDataEntryService" />
    <endpoint address="mex" binding="mexHttpsBinding" contract="IMetadataExchange" />

  • How to use ApplicationModuleImpl.createViewObject for VO with bind variable

    I need to implement a AM method to create VO instance from a generic VODef with bind variables.
    The createViewObject() will trigger the executeQuery of the VO before I can set up the bind variables for the query.
    What is the proper way to create view object instance with bind variables?

    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.
    I have a ViewObjectA declared with some bind variables which determine what business data to be retrieved at runtime via a service method of the ApplicationModule.
    As the ViewObjectA is only referenced internally within ApplicationModule and I need more than one instance of the ViewObjectA for different conditions at runtime,
    I use ApplicationModuleImpl.createViewObject() to create an instance of ViewObjectA instead of adding ViewObjectA to the data model of the ApplicationModule.
    Currently, when the ViewObjectA is instantiated, it also trigger an executeQuery() which will not retrieve correct data until I set up the bind variables.
    However, the createViewObject() method doesn't let me pass in the values of the binding variables.
    Currenlty, I just call the createViewObject() and then set the binding variables values and call executeQuery() again.
    Just checking if there is a better way to do so...

  • Reload CFGrid with Actionscript

    I'm looking for some guidance on how to use actionscript to
    reload a cfgrid on an onclick event. I am currently using getURL()
    to call a cfc to asynchonously update the query driving the grid,
    but I cannot figure out how to actually refresh the grid itself
    without reloading the page.
    Any help would be tremendously appreciated.
    Thanks
    Joel

    Hi,
    If you use flash remoting, then there is no reason for
    refreshing the page.
    In the onclick event you only need to make a call to the
    function that populates or filters the grid. The refreshing is
    almost instantaneous. So no worries about page refresh.
    If you need any reference to this, check the following links

  • Report Performance with Bind Variable

    Getting some very odd behaviour with a report in APEX v 3.2.1.00.10
    I have a complex query that takes 5 seconds to return via TOAD, but takes from 5 to 10 minutes in an APEX report.
    I've narrowed it down to one particular bind. If I hard code the date in it returns in 6 seconds, but if I let the date be passed in from a parameter it takes 5+ minutes again.
    Relevant part of the query (an inline view) is:
    ,(select rglr_lect lect
    ,sum(tpm) mtr_tpm
    ,sum(enrols) mtr_enrols
    from ops_dash_meetings_report
    where meet_ev_date between to_date(:P35_END_DATE,'DD/MM/YYYY') - 363 and to_date(:P35_END_DATE,'DD/MM/YYYY')
    group by rglr_lect) RPV
    I've tried replacing the "to_date(:P35_END_DATE,'DD/MM/YYYY') - 363" with another item which is populated with the date required (and verified by checking session state). If I replace the :P35_END_DATE with an actual date the performance is fine again.
    The weird thing is that a trace file shows me exactly the same Explain Plan as the TOAD Explain where it runs in 5 seconds.
    Another odd thing is that another page in my application has the same inline view and doesn't hit the performance problem.
    The trace file did show some control characters (circumflex M) after each line of this report's query where these weren't anywhere else on the trace queries. I wondered if there was some sort of corruption in the source?
    No problems due to pagination as the result set is only 31 records and all being displayed.
    Really stumped here. Any advice or pointers would be most welcome.
    Jon.

    Don't worry about the Time column, the cost and cardinality are more important to see whther the CBO is making different decisions for whatever reason.
    Remember that the explain plan shows the expected execution plan and a trace shows the actual execution plan. So what you want to do is compare the query with bind variables from an APEX page trace to a trace from TOAD (or sqlplus or whatever). You can do this outside APEX like this...
    ALTER SESSION SET EVENTS '10046 trace name context forever, level 1';Enter and run your SQL statement...;
    ALTER SESSION SET sql_trace=FALSE;This will create a a trace file in the directory returned by...
    SELECT value FROM v$parameter WHERE name = 'user_dump_dest' Which you can use tkprof to format.
    I am assuming that your not going over DB links or anything else slightly unusual?
    Cheers
    Ben

  • I just installed LV2011 and one dll from my vi won't load with the error "application configuration is incorrect"

    I just installed LV2011 and one dll from my vi won't load with the error "application configuration is incorrect", which is Windows lingo for "missing package dependencies".  All the computers at my company with 2010 loaded seem to do OK.  When I do a Dependencies Walk I get missing Visual C debug dll's missing plus IEshims and wer which both have a whole tree of dependencies missing on my machine.  The Windows install is the same "Windows XP version 2002 Service Pack 3" on my PC and the working PC's. So I'm thinking I have to uninstall 2011 and go back to 2010.  Is this correct?  Those VC debug dll's were installed on the machines with 2010 in them but were not installed in mine.
    I've heard the advice to recompile the dll with debug turned off but I don't have access to the source code.
    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply.  This at least tells me that going back to LV2010 is not likely to solve the problem.  The missing dll's are:
    MFC90D.dll
    MSVCR90D.dll
    IESHMS.dll
    WER.dll
    And, once again, IESHMS and WER have other dependencies.  So perhaps i need to install the Visual C++ development environment.
    IESHIMS.dll is an Internet Explorer DLL that gets usually delay loaded by shdocvw.dll. As delay load it can not cause DLL load errors but only runtime errors. Maybe your DLL has it as direct dependency but that is unlikely since it does not have a documented interface.
    WER.dll is Windows error reporting for Vista/Win7.
    MFC90D.dll is the Microsoft Foundation classes and MSVCR90D.dll is the MS C runtime library, both as debug variant.
    So all the DLLs you mention are actually MS DLLs! You haven't identified the DLL that you try to access in LabVIEW that causes these error messages. IESHIMS and WER are usually delay loaded by any component that needs it and should not likely be used by non MS code.
    What is the DLL you try to load into LabVIEW and by whom? Get the provider of that DLL to provide you a non Debug build of the DLL. Installing Visual C on all the machines just to make the DLL load is not a solution, besides that it is likely not legal since I doubt you have that many licenses.

    Hm,
    it seems that you might have more success in the LabVIEW forum here; this one is for LabWindows/CVI...

  • Problem with Bind Variable in 11.2

    Hi
    I have a slow statement with bind Variables. With literals it works fine. Is there a way to replace the bind by literal in advanced ? I use Release 11.2.0.2.3
    Thank you

I use Release 11.2.0.2.3This specific scenario is very much an exception to the rule - and you need to back your statement up with execution plans of the SQL with bind variables and with literals, and run stats that show the difference between these two execution plans.

  • Report query with bind variable

    Trying to create a report query for xsl-fo print. For output format I pick "derive from item" then pick the item name from the list, on the next screen, I paste the query with the bind variable. on the next step test query, I always get "data not found" regardless what value I type in. This is the same query that I ran under sql commands without any issues.
    Does anyone run into the same issue as I have when attempted to create a query with bind var ? There is no problem creating a query without bind varibles. . thanks.

    Hi, please did you get any solution to this issue? I am having similar challenge right now.
    select     EMP.DEPTNO as DEPTNO,
         DEPT.DNAME as DNAME,
         EMP.EMPNO as EMPNO,
         EMP.ENAME as ENAME,
         EMP.JOB as JOB,
         EMP.MGR as MGR,
         EMP.HIREDATE as HIREDATE,
         EMP.SAL as SAL
    from     SCOTT.DEPT DEPT,
         SCOTT.EMP EMP
    where EMP.DEPTNO=DEPT.DEPTNO
    and      DEPT.DNAME =upper(:dname)
    This run perfectly in sql developer, toad, and even inside publisher if I login directly to publisher to create report.
    Generating this same query in shared component query builder and testing it returns no data found. If I remove the last line, it works. but with the last line, it return no data found. It seems no one has been able to provide solution to this issue
