Challenging: Importing HTTPClient into a JavaBean used in a JSP

I have a BankBean.class file, which I'm using in a JSP, main.jsp. The BankBean.java file contains the line:
import HTTPClient.*;
I have the following directory structure:
jeff
-->pc
----->door
-------->main.jsp
-->WEB-INF
----->classes
-------->pc
----------->BankBean.java
----------->BankBean.class
----------->\HTTPClient
-------------->HTTPClient classes
I successfully compile the BankBean.java to create the BankBean.class. However, when I call the main.jsp I receive the following jsp compile error:
Package HTTPClient not found in import.
import HTTPClient.*;
^
1 error
THE JSP IS NOT COMPILING.
NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
*The HTTPClient folder resides in the same directory as the JavaBean.java and JavaBean.class files.
*The JavaBean.java file compiles successfully to create the JavaBean.class file.
I don't understand how the bean can compile successfully, but the JSP cannot compile. Please help!!!
Thanks!

Adding the following:
import pc.HTTPClient.*;
failed.
It seemed logical, but didn't work.
After working on it for a few hours, I finally got it to work by moving the HTTPClient directory up from the pc directory into the classes directory with the other class directories. The successful directory structure is the following:
-->pc
----->door
-------->main.jsp
-->WEB-INF
----->classes
-------->pc
----------->BankBean.java
----------->BankBean.class
-------->\HTTPClient
----------->HTTPClient classes
Thanks for the help, though. It did get me thinking in the right direction.

    With using any version of iTunes, whenever I import songs into my library using the "add to library" function, iTunes adds those songs in songs' alphabetical order. hi i had the same problem today when i updated my itunes to latest version. however, i have just found my songs in the 'itunes media' folder. this was accessed through 'my music'  then keep clicking through until you find itunes media and all my library songs were in there and i then just added these files to my library and all were restored however, i have lost all my playlists but at least my 700 songs are back. very dissapointed with apple that they have let this happen with their latest update, the previous version was miles better than this one . hope you find them. stevo

  • Is it possible to import music into iPad without using iTunes?

    Do any of of you know whether or not it is possible to import music into iPad, like when you can import pictures, without the use of iTunes ( I don't have a computer)? I have music on my phone and on USB flash drives. Thnx

    If you are in America then you can download your past iTunes music purchases via the store (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519). But no, you can't import from flash drives (the camera connection kit can only import photos and videos) or from an iPhone.

  • Does anyone know how to import files into FCP X using focus enhancements FS-CV (DTE)?

    I've just purchase Final Cut X and the system does not recognise any (most) of the files on my FS-CV DTE hard drive. All files are quicktime.

    In FCP 7 I'd normally use the Log and Transfer function to convert the AVCHD files to ProRes. However with FCP X you can use the Import from Camera... command in the File menu or the button shortcut for the same function.
    This can be done by connecting the camera, or putting the memory card from the camera into a card reader, and then, from within the Imprt from Camera dialogue, selecting Open Archive and select the camera, card or in my case the backup I've made of the card.
    I regularly back up my AVCHD files to hard disk, or BluRay data disk, so I can reuse my SD cards but an important thing to remember when doing this is that you need to copy the whole directory structure of the memory card to a new folder on the hard drive. Simply selecting the .mts files won't work as the 'Import From Camera' function needs to see the whole directory structure to interpret the what files are there etc. I create a new folder and then copy all the folders and files on my card into that folder on my hard drive. When selecting Import from Camera/Open Archive I then choose the folder, not the files inside it. Once this is done the video files are presented and I can audition them and choose to import all of them or select the files I want.
    None of these methods require the files to be transcoded prior to import. You can choose the transcoding method during import so that either high quality ProRes files are created or Proxy files, smaller and lower quality for editing.

    Ive been trying to import some footage into adobe premiere cs4 on the iMac. This is the first time I've ever used adobe premiere on the imac. When i try to import anything (ie: import an avi file, sequence, or old adobe premiere project) the program just hangs for hours.

  • Importing schema into another schema using enterprise manager on 11.2.0.3

    I am using OEM database control not Grid Control.
    I am exporting a schema using OEM Data Movement and I want to REMAP it to another schema.
    But it does not populate the Destination Schema with any other schemas other than the Source Schema.
    I only get one item in Destination Schema dropdown which is the same as the Source Schema.
    Any ideas why the Destination Schema dropdown is not populated with all the schemas?
    This is on Windows 2008 R2 64-bit
    This worked fine in 10g versions.
    Edited by: user563987 on Feb 20, 2012 1:48 PM

    I have confirmed with Oracle support that it is a bug which was suppose to have been fixed in this version but obviously is not. They have opened a new bug.
    When you are you are on Grid Control 11.2.0.5? I am not seeing this version? Or am I missing something?
    Thanks.

  • Importing Image into a pdf using acrobat 7.0

    Step 1: Open file containing image
    Step 2: Copy image to clipboard (rt click, select copy)
    Step 3: Open destination .pdf. file
    Step 4: From Tools menu, choose Commenting, then choose Stamps
    Step 5: From Stamps menu, choose, Place Clipboard Image as Stamp Tool
    Step 6: The pointer becomes a small rubber stamp.
    Step 7: Place the rubber stamp in the top left corner of the area you need the image and begin dragging as if creating a text box.
    Step 8: As you do so, the image appears in the box
    Step 9: Stop dragging when your image is at the size you need it to be.

    On a 32-bit system, there is a workaround. I do not think it is possible to get AA7 to work on a 64-bit system (no one has reported success and only 1 has suggested success with AA8). You may be able to print to a PS file and then open that in Distiller. I suspect that is the only way and you will have to find a decent PS printer driver to do it. I suspect the printer driver (and associated AcroTray) will not work in a 64-bit Win8 -- Acrobat and Distiller may.

  • Unexpected null values in a javabean used by a jsp

    We have a problem running a web application developed in Jdeveloper 9.0.3.
    This is the scenario:
    In jspA a javabean MyBean is declared in this way:
    <jsp:useBean id="MyBean" class=.... scope="session"/>.
    In the same page we set MyBean's properties to some values.
    Then the control passes to jspB where MyBean is declared like in jspA.
    As expected, MyBean's properties have the values just set in jspA.
    So the control passes to jspC: MyBean is declared like in jspA and jspB but
    when we access MyBean's properties we see that they are NULL!
    It seems as if MyBean were re-created when jspC starts execution.
    We checked id, class and scope (session) but they are all the same in jspA, jspB, jspC.
    Can anyone help you?
    Thanks in advance for any suggestion.

    I recommend using the debugger within Jdeveloper. You can set breakpoints in a JSP file and use the debugger just like you would use it in a java file. With the debugger you can control the flow of execution and watch values as you execute each statement. For more information on running the debugger against JSP's and servlets, see the online documentation.

  • Can't Figure Out How To Import XML into a Table?

    HELP!
    I've been using InDesign for several years now... but everything Ive ever done has been basic one off layout concepts.
    I am working on a website for a musical theater actress and for her resume, Id like to make a PDF which lists in table format the show, theatre and role she had for each job.
    I could do this manually... but Id really like to learn how to just reuse the same XML data that I have for her website and import it into InDesign.
    I have looked at Adobe's help file, I have scoured the internet, and I still can't figure it out... I have done like the adobe support file says... and I cant seem to get the values I create in her resume xml file to show up in a table I create in InDesign.
    I even tried to simplify it for the learning process and did something as basic as an XML file that has 5 colors... couldnt even get that working.
    So could someone explain it to me like Im a 5 year old... how to take a XML file, import it, place it in a table and have the data actually show up in the table.
    thanks,
    brian

    Are you sure you want to use XML with tables for this? No doubt importing XML into tables is useful for some specialized tasks, such as importing formatting information inside the XML itself, but for most of the familiar tasks that XML excels at, tables are neither necessary nor useful.
    In my (limited) experience, if the XML elements are well-differentiated, by which I mean different types of data have their own distinctive tags, then the special powers of XML can be exploited more fully using the more familiar tagged text, nested tags etc. in ordinary text frames using paragraph breaks, tab characters, etc. to achieve a suitably "tabular" finished appearance.
    If you must import XML into tables, I recommend Adobe's own PDF "Adobe InDesign CS3 and XML: A Technical Reference" availabe here:
    http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/indesign/articles/indcs3ip_xmlrules.pdf
    It sounds very daunting -- the words "technical reference" make me shudder -- but actually it's very readable and not very technical at all. Some nice pics and everything!

  • How to import XML into SQL Table

    Dear all,
    There are a lot of books about exporting data into XML format.
    Actually, how to use XML Documents? Sorry I am new that I ask such a question.
    What i think may be exchange or save data using xml. If so, How to import into MS SQL table? Do it need to do any mapping?
    Appreciate for your hints

  • Importing pictures into keynote

    I've already been able to import pictures into my Ipad2 using Itunes, but I still can't insert them into my Keynote presentations, not even pictures from the IPad's internal camera roll. I've followed the steps listed in the Help file, but whenever I tap on a particular picture, nothing happens. Help please.

    The simplest way is to go to Keynote, and export the Keynote pages you need one at a time in JPEG format. Now you can open iMovie and drag these jpeg files into the video at the spot where you need them, and the slide will be visible while the audio from the video track continues to play.

  • File Upload using struts and jsp

    Hi,
    Anybody have sample coding for uploading files into the database using struts and jsp.
    Thanking you in advance for providing the sample coding.
    Veena

    Hi Veena,
    In Strutsconfig.xml you have to configure data sources like this
    **************strutsconfig.xml******
    <data-sources>
    <data-source
    type="org.apache.common.dbcp.BasicDataSource">
    <set-property property="driverClassName"
    vlaue="oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver"/>
    <set-property property="url" vlaue="jdbcracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=localhost)(PORT=1521))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID =ORCL)))"/>
    <!-- <set-property property="url"
    vlaue="jdbcracle:thin:@127.0.0.1:1521:ORCL"/>-->
    <set-property property="username"
    vlaue="scott"/>
    <set-property property="password"
    vlaue="tiger"/>
    </data-source>
    </data-sources>
    Now here is how to get data source
    public class LookupAction extends Action
    public Double getQuote(String symbol,
    HttpServletRequest request)
    throws Exception
    Double price=null;
    Connection conn=null;
    Statement stmt=null;
    ResultSet rs=null;
    DataSource dataSource=null;
    try
    dataSource = getDataSource(request);
    conn= dataSource.getConnection();
    stmt= conn.createStatement();
    rs= stmt.executeQuery("select * from stocks where" + "symbol='" + symbol +"'");
    if (rs.next())
    =======================
    After you can use the coding what I posted earlier.
    For that you need to create a table with attachment as a CLOB col.
    then with prepared statement I am setting value .
    Plz try your self every thing ok you can get that.
    all the best
    bye

  • What is the best protocol to import data into sqlserver using an SSIS Package?

    Im trying to import data into SQL Server from EXCEL with an SSIS package. In my data flow I am using "Excel Source" object and an "OLE DB Command" object.  Im getting the following error message, "...Excel Connection Manager"
    is an incorrect type....."  May someone explain why I get this and point me in the right direction in choosing the proper source for my package so I can complete my task.  Thanks.

    Hi jsorrisone,
    The data type mismatch issue is a common issue when using Excel Source in SSIS. The Excel driver recognizes only a limited set of data types. The following section of the document
    Excel Source should point you in the right direction:
    The Excel driver recognizes only a limited set of data types. For example, all numeric columns are interpreted as doubles (DT_R8), and all string columns (other than memo columns) are interpreted as 255-character Unicode strings (DT_WSTR). Integration
    Services maps the Excel data types as follows:
    Numeric – double-precision float (DT_R8)
    Currency – currency (DT_CY)
    Boolean – Boolean (DT_BOOL)
    Date/time – datetime (DT_DATE)
    String – Unicode string, length 255 (DT_WSTR)
    Memo – Unicode text stream (DT_NTEXT)
    Integration Services does not implicitly convert data types. As a result, you may need to use Derived Column or Data Conversion transformations to convert Excel data explicitly before loading it into a non-Excel destination, or to convert non-Excel data
    before loading it into an Excel destination. In this case, it may be useful to create the initial package by using the Import and Export Wizard, which configures the necessary conversions for you. Some examples of the conversions that may be required include
    the following:
    Conversion between Unicode Excel string columns and non-Unicode string columns with specific codepages
    Conversion between 255-character Excel string columns and string columns of different lengths
    Conversion between double-precision Excel numeric columns and numeric columns of other types
    If you need further help, post the complete error message as well as the data nature in your Excel source file for further analysis.
