Planned and actual cost
hi
after doing cat5 the cost must transfer to the ps, in my case the plan/actual% is showing 100% at the activity level, deliberately I enter different time in the time sheet to see the difference in %, but when i enter time difference in wbs level in cat2 and after doing cat7 i can c the difference in actual and planed cost.
my query is i want to see the difference in plan/actual at the activity level or u can say after doing cat5 so any one can help me on this and what setting to b changed.

Can you tell me if there is a R/3 report which lists out the planned and actual costs for a project and displays it for each network and activity? I want these values at the activity level.
I found a report which lists out these values for each network, but I cannot drilldown to the activity level. Please help.

There is setting in network type. Please go through transaction OPUV i.e.
Change view- Network type paramaeters : overview " Overview.
Uner Network type parameters there is one radio button in front of ActvtyAcctAssgn. Just activate it.

Marketing Planning Planning and Actual Cost
Hi
We have a clinet requirement, where they want Marketing Planning functionality to be implemented. They want to use Budget Planning and Actual cost tracking functionality. Now as per my understanding we use SEM/BI for planning (Key Figure) and PS or COPA integration for Actual Cost Tracking.
Is my understanding correct and what are the steps required for the two. Client has currently implemented SEM/BI and ECC, but PS is not in scope. So we will have to capture Actual Cost using COPA.

PLANNED AND ACTUAL COST IN A PROCESS ORDER
From where the planned cost of material and activity types in cost itemizationafter creation flow ?From where the actual cost of a material and activity types in cost analysis of process order after confirmation flow?
You may be knowing you give Costing Variants ( Both actual as well as Planned ) in Order type. These Costing variants contains Valuation variants which says which costs are to be taken while creation ( for Planned Cost ) and Actual cost ( while confirming and Moving Goods) to be calculate. These Variants decides mode of Cost Flows.
Now, Data in Planned costs are Standard Cost figures or Current prices for material or Planned Prices of Activities.
As far as Actual costs are considered it may be the price for the consumed quantity @ the moving average price of the day or activity price for the qty. consumed which include up planned consumption too.....

Planned vs Actual Cost Report (with variance) for PM Orders
Hi Experts,
We are using the project system to collate order costs for annual shut work. We have a requirement for a report to show 25% variance between planned and actual order costs (maintneance order).
At this stage, we dont mind whether this is implemented in the the PM system, or the PS system.
This is a fairly basic / common requirment. Are there any standard transactions we could use to:
1. Select a list of orders using standard selection criteria.
2. Select a % for variance, e.g. 25%
3. Display a list of orders where the planned vs actual costs were greater than 25% and what the actual variance is for each order?

I have never seen any such scenario, but the best thing that can come to me is for the shut down activities you muct have created a Revision, then based on that Revision you can take a dump of all the orders with Planned and Actual Cost, in the excel, and there by putting the formulae you can definitely have the Varience report.

We have a requirement where we need to find out the Planned Costs and Actual Costs booked against a WBS element, in a year. The costs can be against all the plan versions or on individual plan version.
Are there any function modules to retrieve this value?

The easiest way would be to get the OBJNR for all WBS elements from PRPS and look up RPSCO and summarize for Value type (RPSCO-WRTTP) 1 for planned cost and 4 for Actual cost.

i too had same issue , i wrote following FS for that :
Actual and planned cost from PMCO-WRT00 to WRT12(the sum of values should be considered for actual as well as planned ) for PMCO-OBJNR taken from CAUFV -OBJNR for order number AFIH-AUFNR and also currency from CAUFV-WAERS .
Actual cost will have valuation type PMCO-WRTTP = 4 and planned cost will have valuation type PMCO-WRTTP = 1 , which will be placed in different column

We are working in cProjects 4.0 + ECC 6.0 implementation. I could not get the data for columns in Planned Cost and Actual Cost in cProjects Project Dashboard. I have properly mapped the config settings and created and assigned a Project in PS
Has anybody got this data in the Dashboard?

It is difficult to say, where the problem is.
but typically, the causes of the problem are
customizing is set incorrectly or the evaluation is not carried out.
You can run the the evaluation DPR_EVE_BATCH_DPO additionally, please untick the flag 'check the last changed date'.

There is no std content for this as far as I know , Not sure if your report is based on cost for a given version then its really a mystery . If you are looking to pull the cost for PS then check the table RPSCO in r3 , this is the PS cost table , and you can differentiate Plan/Actual based on the Field Value type .

Plan and Actual at WBS Elements without activities
Hi Experts,
I am in need of a small help from you. My scenario is like this:
I have equipments/material as WBS Elements( Level1,2...). I have no activities/materials.
I planned the costs using CJ40 and Budgeted using CJ30 and confirmed all the WBS Elements by entering actual dates for the same.
Now i want to see planned/actuals costs in report. When i checked in one standard report it is showing 0 for both planned and actuals.
I also want to have a brief step-by step procedure for Project with only WBS Elements, i.e., from Initiation to Settlement.
Can anyone please help me in this regard.

Most probable scenario would consist of following steps
Create PDef - Create WBS (either copying from template or manually) - Plan costs - Roll up planned costs - Budget (at top level) - Budget distribute - budget Release - WBS release - Post actual costs - run cost / revenue variance report - settle costs against the WBS - TECO project - Close Project.
I believe I haven't missed on any important aspect.
Would appreciate inputs from others in this effort.

Std Costing and Actual costing at process Order
Hello Friends,
Followings are the client requirements, Please give me your ideas :-
1 . Costing variant is same for all three - costing run, process order (plan and actual), means there is no prices variance on process order level. ( material at std price, Activity plan price, overhead fix%)
2. Alongwith this above client also need to capture actual result (material at MAP, activity at monthly actual price, overhead fix %)
In this case there is price and usage variance can see.
Now as I think that both scenarios are not possible on process order level. According to me we can do by a customize actual costing cockpit.
Need your openion that do we have any option thru standard funcations of sap to get this requirement. If you need any other explanation , please do let me know.

The target cost and actual cost is not updating in production order when I display it in CO03 in cost analysis.
Even though we have maintained planned price in KP26.
Please suggest how it can be populated.

For Target cost
1. Your std cost must be released before Goods Receipt
2. There must be goods receipt posted on the prod order
3. You must calculate variances in KKS1/2
For Actual Cost
1. Post Goods receipt and Goods issues
2. See if any mat movements are pending in COGI
3. Ensure that operation is confirmed in PP and no entry is lying in COFC
