Change blank option setting on selectItems

I have a selectOneRadio component with selectItems bound to an entity attribute - see the code below. At the time when I set up the selectItems through the GUI, I was asked whether I wanted it to generate a blank option. I chose yes then. Now I would like to get rid of that blank option on the selectItems. Can anyone tell me how to do that? Where is that setting stored?
<tr:selectOneRadio value="#{bindings.description.inputValue}"
label="#{bindings.description.label}"
binding="#{backing_eef_expense.selectOneRadio1}"
id="selectOneRadio1">
<f:selectItems value="#{bindings.description.items}"
binding="#{backing_eef_expense.selectItems1}"
id="selectItems1"/>
</tr:selectOneRadio>
Thank you in advance.

Hi Navaneeth,
Thank you for your reply. No, there isn't a list like that in my pageDef.xml. I thought it should be in that file too and that was the first thing I searched for. Any other ideas?
Here is my pageDef.xml:

  • How to hide certain OPTION? so only me can change the OPTION setting

I choose to disable "load imagage automaticly" in option -> content. I want to hide this option, so that only me that can change the setting. Basicly I become admin in my firefox, I don't want any want to change my setting.

"load imagage automaticly" is '''not''' in Options > Content in Firefox 23 - it was removed.
Once you set the '''permissions.default.image''' preference in the "hidden" settings ( about:config ) there's no way for another user who doesn't know about about:config to change it from what you have set.

  • Dynamically Populated Option Sets in CRM 2013

    Hello,
In my solution, I have an entity with an option set attribute that has no option values by default. A script in the entity form handles the population of the option set dropdown via .addOption. The displayed value of the attribute shows blank or "--"
(for CRM 2013). The expected behavior is that when the user selects an item in the dropdown, the field value changes and then displays the selected value. Another attribute (single line of text) then gets that value for later use. This works just fine in CRM
    2011.
However, in CRM 2013, selecting a value in the dropdown does not change the displayed value of the field. Putting focus again on the dropdown shows that the default value (blank) is selected (or nothing is selected).
I tried to modify the field value using Xrm.Page/Entity and even JQuery directly on elements to at least to display the selected text, change some attributes, etc. None of this works. It should be noted that when attaching a "change" handler in
JQuery to the dropdown, it fires. When specifying a change handler for the field in the form properties, it does not fire.
I have another idea involving creating a workflow that runs periodically or another server process/plugin to dynamically populate a global option set, and then point my entity's option set attribute to that option set. If you're wondering why a workflow,
the attribute is supposed to be a list of all existing entity names in the current default solution. If for some reason entities are added/removed from the solution, my option set needs to be brought up-to-date.
Before going down this road, I'm wondering if any of you have encountered this and how you got around it.
    Thanks!

    Hello Mahender
As Rod mentioned in his query, the option set attribute is supposed to be a list of all existing entity names in the current CRM organization . If for some reason entities are added/removed from the organization, the option set needs to be updated.
Hence we created a blank option set attribute. Now, OnLoad of the form, we populate the option set using .addOption() method. This populates the option set, but on selection change, attribute's OnChange() is not getting triggered and also, the selected value
    is not visible on form.
Below is an example of what we are trying to achieve
    http://www.powerobjects.com/blog/2012/01/25/microsoft-dynamics-crm-and-dynamic-option-sets/
I hope I am able to explain my query in detail here.
    Any help is appreciated.

    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR..; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_; chmod -R -N ~ $_; } 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if it frightens you, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password dialog will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
In the dialog, select the startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if it's not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if it's not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.

To change the iCloud account on your phone you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone.  When you delete the account you will be given the option to either keep or delete the iCloud data from your phone.  This also, only deletes the account and the iCloud data from your phone, not from iCloud.  Your husband's phone won't be effected by this.  Then, to create a separate account, sign back in with a different Apple ID (you can continue to share the same ID for iTunes).
If you have any photo stream photos that you want to keep on the phone, save them to your camera roll before deleting the account.
If you're sharing the same ID for iMessage and FaceTime you'll end up getting each other's text messages and FaceTime calls.  To prevent this, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your new iCloud ID.  Then do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.

  • Fill in the Blank Options

When editing a fill in the blank there is a pull down in the top left of the correct answers box when it is setup as a user enters the correct answer. When I change the selection and close  the box the pull down slections update for a reason I don't understand either. Lastly, when I have two blanks in the same question, the pull down will show the first correct answer form each blank.
    What does all this mean?

    Hello There,
If you have multiple blanks in a question, this pull down helps you to change the answer for other blanks as well by quickly changing the option. And yes, when we have multiple correct answers, the blank shows the first correct answer.
    Hope this info helps.

  • How do I change the default setting on  the 'view scale'?

I'll try submitting this a second time - it didn't seem to go through the first time.
I have an iMac G5 (OSX 10.4.4.), my first encounter with Apple. I find that the default size that text displays on screen in the wordprocessing application is too small for my eyes (I ain't as young as I used to be ...). The text always displays in what seems to be about font 8 or 10, no matter what size I set the document font (it will print in the size I set, but not display in it).
I have discovered that I can change the display size by using the 'view scale' tab in the lower left corner of the window. Size 140 suits me just fine. Problem is that I have to change the view scale each time I open a new document.
Can anyone tell me how to change the default setting on 'view scale' ?

There was one attribute of a service object you couldn't change in fscript..
I think it was whether the service was replicated at all or not (not the
same as setting rep count to 1!).
    As Clint would say, "improvise.."
We exported the project containing the service object and snipped out the
part pertaining to the service object in to a little export file.
Then in an fscript script you can branch/checkout the service object and
import the snipped out export file to change the replicated yes/no flag.
Then do whatever other fscript commands make sense.. We tended to leave the
system baseline with the "true" replication flags and let developers run
this little script (only branching the services) to de-replicate all the
replicated services prior to trying to run from their workspace, etc.
    Worked like a charm.

Yes you can do it, but you actually do it in EScript not FScript lookfor
the following types of command "assignappcomp", "unassignappcomp",
    "setappcompcompiled", "setrepcount", "findagent", "findsubagent",
"findparent" etc.. So start with your EScript manual.

You can set the the number of replicas through fscript BUT the service
object in that partition has to be marked for LOADBALANCE. I didn't find a
fscript command to do that (that was what mnasser was trying to tell you).
But you can get around it by exporting the plan that has the service object
and look for the string LoadBalance = FALSE, then change it to LoadBalance =
TRUE. Import back the plan and you should be fine.

  • How can I change view options for ALL playlists?

How can I change view options for ALL playlists? With one single click or trick?
I have a lot playlists and don't want to change every single one of them separatly.
Thanks for your help. (I use Windows 7)

There's no FAST way I know of, which is what I think you mean.
Only the painful SLOW way of one-by-one.
You could make a new playlist from the main library after you've set the columns up as you like.
Go to an existing playlist that doesn't have the columns you want, and select all.
RIght-click > Add to Playlist and send them to the new playlist.
That's still one-by-one and only works with static playlists, not smart ones.

  • Changing View Options for ALL Playlists together

This question has remained without simple answer in spite of being asked many times. I think that I have an answer, the procedure is the following:
    (1) Open the "source" iTunes Library
    (2) File/Library/Export Library…          Save the list of Playlists
    (3) Close the "source iTunes Library
    (4) Create a new "destination" iTunes folder
    (5) Import one (or more) song from a CD
    (6) Select Music on top of the LIBRARY window
    (7) View/View Options…                               Set the View Options as desired
    (8) File/Library/Import Library…          Import the list of Playlists saved in (2)
    (9) Remove the auxiliary song(s) introduced in (5)
In the "destination" iTunes folder, the View Options of ALL playlist are those set in (7), irrespective of what they were in the "source". This works using iTunes 10.5 on an Intel iMac runing OSX 10.6.8, and presumably also with other configurations.
Any simpler, faster, or less memory greedy solution?

I'm not sure about a PC, but with a Mac you hold down the Control key and click on the right-most column's title bar. A menu of columns shows up with your current columns having check marks beside them. Just check or un-check the ones you want. To resize a column, click on the thin vertical line that separates the columns' names. Your cursor should change to a two-way arrow when you move across the adjustment line - just like in a spread sheet. Just click on the line and drag its width to suit you.

  • How to change the character set of the D/b

    Hello All,
    When i issue the command
    ALTER DATABASE CHARACTER SET UTF8
It gives me the error that I can only change the character set to a superset of the existing character set.
Is there any way i can change the character set without recreating the database.
    TIA
    Naveen

The existing character set is the basis for the new character set. This is fair enough, because the character set determines how the actual data is stored in the database. Allowing new characters is a minor change: completely re-encoding your entire database is not.
I'm afraid export, recreate and import is your only option.
