Change HTML form of Travel Management

I would like to know how to change or delete a sentence in the HTML form of Travel management which is displayed before sending a request in the Webdynpro screen.

The only way to change the setting in Trip HTML form can be found in SPRO.

Here you can adjust the Trip Form.

Edit HTML FORM for Travel Request in BADI

Hi Experts,
I'm trying to use the BADI FITP_REQUEST_HTML_FORM_BADIDEF to edit the HTML form for travel request.
I need to add and hide fields in tables, but I don't need to create new tables in the form.
The example is like the following:

the name of the travel expense type come as truncated. It takes only 15 characters, while actually it can be 30.

ESS: Travel Request HTML form - Hide 'Trip Activity'

Hello All,
We are implementing ESS travel mgmt. We are on the below version:
Business package details:
SAP_ESS 600 SP11
BP_ERP5ESS 1.0 SP11
SAPPCUI_GP 600 SP11
ECC 6.0 SP's (upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6.0)
We are using travel request 'HTML' form. In the display form, we want to hide 'Trip Activity'. I searched the customizing option for the same in IMG and didnt find any. I could able to get the FM's 'FITP_WEB_ITINERARY_DISP_HTML' from where the details comes from.
My question is, to hide 'Trip Activity', do we need to change the function module and remove that particular text? is this the only option.

When you say HTML form do you mean Web based form or what ? I mean are you talking of Web Dynpro application or something else?

How can I change the order of html form data submitted to me via email?

I am having customers contact me via an html form posted on my website using the "sendtoemail" command. When I receive the data in an e-mail it is not presented in the order it appears on the web page and I can't seem to find out what dictates the order the data is presented in or how I can change it.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can make HTML form data elements appear in the order I want?

Managing content of big HTML form

Hi,
We are developing a web application. One of the JSP has around 350 input elements on the HTML form. We are in design process and want to make sure that form submission wont become bottleneck in future. Any suggestions on how to manage this big content. We have only one Save button at the bottom.

- create the form
- receive the form input
- generate the XML data
- Perhaps call the iFS API directly to load the XML data.

Error message in SAP Travel Management

Hi alll,
I am trying to change an address in PRMD tx code
Error message: Enter a house number
Also it is not possible to change existing addresses as the same error comes up.
I also tried in other company codes and there it seem to work fine so the issue might only be for company code 0376
Could you please let me know if there is any restrictions from the field u201Cstreet and house numberu201D so that it can be entered and changed as free form text?

Are you sure you mean PRMD? This is the T-code to update HR master data and is not related to travel management!
Did you mean PRAA perhaps if you were trying to update master data from HR to vendor as there are some known issues around the structure of the PRAA report and house number and address (see the notes 570023 and 663350)

Is there a way to create reusable HTML Forms that can be used on multiple pages?

I'm trying to understand the recommended approach to managing 10 HTML forms that will be reused on many different pages. I want to be able to modify the form definition once and have the change propogate.

Is your requirement that authors be able to change the form definition, or should form definition be controlled by developers?
In the case of authors being able to change the form definition then I would say best practice would be to create a page that holds the form definition (using whatever components work for you - either the out of the box form components or something custom). Then use the reference component to point the definition in all the other locations you want the form to appear. One thing to note is if you are using dispatcher for caching you need to make sure you strategy for cache flushing accomadates this approach.
In the case of developers controlling the form definition you could crate a component for each form, and then simly drag that component onto the pages that require the form. In this case your would control all the form label and description elements in the localization file.

HTML form to clob

Hi all i have an oracle 9i database.
One of the application is used to store data given through standard HTML forms (not oracle forms). These are stored in varchar2 fields and all works fine.
However we now have a new request that would require one of the HTML form fields to contain more then the 4,000 character limit of varchar2.
I tried using same application exactly, simply changed database table field from varchar2 to clob. However while the other table fields are being populated normally, the clob field remains empty.
Can anyone help

I found a work-around as could not find a way to directly insert a CLOB, but i managed to update a CLOB field.
Hence I only solved this problem by using first the html form to insert new record (except for the CLOB field) and then use a javascript code to update record with CLOB data.

This is sub module in SAP HCM.
There is few things which you need to consider for travel mgt implementation.
1. Travel Request - There is standard form for travel request. You can use the same or if your client requirement is different then do customization .This is mandatory. you dnt need to do mush configuration here.
2. Travel planning- this is only use if your client wants to integrate third party travel services. this is optional.
3. travel expenses- This is most important part of travel management. There is also stanbdard form for claim of travel expense . you can use the same . This is mandatory.
Here you need to create trip provision variant, travel schema , travel expenses types, per diem etc.
If you are using travel request & travel expense claim through ESS/MSS , then there is bit changes required in portal configuration. along with workflow .
Finally infotype 0017 is most important for travel Management.

Travel Management with Travel Desk

Hi Experts,
We are having following Scenario in Travel Management(with Travel Desk) please suggest me how to achieve the same.
        1.     Employee will raise the Travel Request the same will go to his Reporting Boss
        2.     Boss will approve the above Travel Request.
        3.     Once he approves the request the same has to go to Travel Desk (Company Owned).
        4.     Travel Desk people will book the tickets/hotels and makes the payment to the vendor
                (Travel Agent/Hotel). The same information will go to employee.
        5.     After completion his tour, Employee will apply for the reimbursement which he paid on his
                own.
        6.     Finance Department will check the bills and makes the payment.
From the above steps, 1st, 2nd, 5th and 6th steps are available in standard system but how to do with 3rd and 4th step.

Hi together,
you will have several issues here.
- First of all, Workflow Container BUS2089 does not carry all planning related details in standard. So you will have to enhance it using SWO1. Especially travel service details are missing.
- if you are about to enhance it, you can also add a method to change both approval and accounting status of the trip. This will enable you more flexible process steps.
- if manager has approved request, you can forward it by mail to a central inbox of travel agency. Travel agency is usually not working in customers SAP system, so you have to use an external communication.
- agency usually sends an external PDF confirmation to traveler as they are not connected to SAP system
- as an alternative, you can connect to agencys reservation systems Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo and use travel planning. then you have full synchronization and online booking capabilities inside SAP system
- when ticket is issued at agency, credit card/ form of payment is charged. This is external process. If you want to have these data, take the credit card transaction data from provider and use RPRCCC00. Or ask agency to provide same data in similar format.
- if you use WD ABAP for travel request (which also works as standalone without EP portal), you can use "other services" to ask traveler for additional details which are needed for travel desk. You will find about 15 fields there which is much more than the standards for flight/ hotel/ rail request.

I tried to write a JWeb-Application for OAS 4.0, that retrieves
input data from a HTML form and writes it into an Oracle
database.
All processing should be done in the UTF-8 character set.
The problem is, that the form data retrieved by getURLParameter
are always encoded in a non-unicode character set and I found no
way to change this.
Can anybody tell me what I should do to get the form data in the
UTF-8 character set?

How to retrieve data from the HTML form in the JEditorPane?

I could quite easily use JEditorPane to render and display a simple HTML file.
My HTML looks like this:

It gets diplayed fine and I can type in text, select radio buttons (they behave mutualy-exclusive,
as they should) and check checkboxes.
The problem I have is with retrieving the values which were entered into the form.
If I, after editing, try to write the html to the file using HTMLWriter,
it records the changes I made into the textarea, however all the radio and checkbox selections are lost.
Maybe the problem is that when I enter the values I do not use any methods like
insertBeforeStart and so on, but I believe I shouldn't need to use them to populate a form.
Especially I never change the structure of the HTML.
Also, when I try to traverse the Element tree and see the input elements attributes,
I can never see a change in the entered values. However it is probably b/c I am traversing through
the model and the changes are in the view (just a guess.)
Anyway, if anybody could direct me onto the right path: how to retrieve the values typed in the form,
or if it is possible at all in the JEditorPane, I would greatly appreciate.

PS. I have seen the answer to a similar question posted some time last year. However, I am trying
to find a soultion which allows forms/surveys to be built by people who have no java and only basic
html knwledge. And Axualize way is probably a little bit too "high-tech."

Gain or loss due to foreign currency exchange rate in Travel Management

Hi Experts,
I am facing some issues in foreign currency surrender in Travel Management.
Example:-
An employee goes on a foreign trip in which he takes advance in USD. After returning from the trip, if any USD balance is there then he returns it to company. If the exchange rate falls or increased, then company books it as gain or loss to comany. How the same can be handled in Travel Expense Report. Below is an example of the same.

HI Sigi,
The problem is, during a International trip. While taking the advance, the exchange rate of USD is something & while returning or excess expenditure the exchange rate is different. Because the posting to be done in INR & the expenses are adjusted against the advance.
But when there is a change in the exchange rate then the whole advance is not adjusted. SO to adjust the same the balance amount to be adjusted as gain or loss to the company a/c.
