Hi,
How to Track the compliance of PR to PO
Is it possible to track if requisitions are changed in the moment of conversion?
i.e would like to know if there is any report which gives changes during conversion if any.

Every ODS object is represented on the database by three transparent tables:
Active data: A table containing the active data (A table)
Activation queue: For saving ODS data records that are to be updated but that have not yet been activated. The data is deleted after the records have been activated.
<b>Change log: Contains the change history for delta updating from the ODS Object into other data targets, such as ODS Objects or InfoCubes for example.</b>
An exception is the transactional ODS object, which is only made up of the active data table.
The tables containing active data are constructed according to the ODS object definition, meaning that key fields and data fields are specified when the ODS object is defined. Activation queue and change log are the same in the tables structure. They have the request ID, package ID and the record number as a key.

Change log needed when item Text is changed via a customised tab in PO
Hi all,
In ME21N, ME22N and ME23N we have added a tab CUSTOMERDATA which contains input to enter no. of batches. When ever we enter something, say 1 in the field for no. of batches, this will trigger a FM which will create a batch and update the TEXTS tab at item level with the batch created. This functionality is achieved using the exit EXIT_SAPMM06E_013.
Now the requirement is whenever the TEXTS tab is updated by means of CUSTOMERDATA tab, I can see that some text is added to the TEXTS tab. Now I want to see this in the change log at item level that text is updated.
I can see the change log when i manually go to TEXTS tab and change/add something but not when i do it via the CUSTOMERDATA tab.
Could you please help me how to achieve this.

Aravind.Ok, looks like you haven't received good replies yet, so here's what you need to do. The difference is that CHANGEDOCUMENT_TEXT_CASE is being called for the application transaction entry but not for your exit-based entry of the texts inside EINKBELEG_WRITE_DOCUMENT. This means that UPD_ICDTXT_EINKBELEG was not set - you need to make sure the field value is set to 'U' for the call.

Change Logs to show for CRMD_ORDER tx changes to the activity notes area

Does anyone know if there is a way to configure the change documents function in the transaction CRMD_ORDER when you have a business activity open to show the changes made to the activity notes section? This changes function is accessed via the top menu when you have an activity open: Extras -> change documents
We would like to, if at all possible, show changes that have happened in the notes/text area of this transaction as well as the other areas.

Thanks for your reply, this note looks like it will work very well for what we want to achieve. However, I can't quite figure out what I need to do to get this to work. Do you understand this functionality enough to give me some guidance at all?
I have found everything I need to change in Tx COMC_TEXT, with text obj = CRM_ORDERH, Text Det Proc = ACT0001, Text type = A002 Note. For the Text type, the settings currently maintained are Sequence = 0001, Changes = edit, transfer type = not yet identified.
The SAP note specifies that the changes needs to equal both P and R (which I don't understand how to get both available), and I am not sure what the transfer type setting should be. I have tried to change this in our dev system, however it doesn't seem to flow through to the Business Activities transaction. Are you able to assist?

i used Deletion of Requests from PSA from the prcess chain and found good results, now i have only one request at the psa and thus i am doing good space utililisation. but when i am using Deletion of Requests from the Change Log i am not getting any changes in the request of dso. kindly let me know how to use this 2nd function.

As per SAp standards its good to delete the requestes that are no longer needed for the delta update and no longer used ffor inti from the change log table and the data is loaded already in to DSO.
Goto RSPC
Click on create New PC -> enter the PC name n long descp
Next we need to define the start process for the PC.Maintain the start variant process.save n come back.
for deletion of change log we have option in the Other BW Processes -> deletion of requestes from change log
Once u select the option we get a dialoge box here we need to create the variant for the process enter the process variant n long descp. cick ok.
Next in the maintenance screen for the deleting the request from change log table will appear.
Enter the selection patterns to which the requestes should be deleted from the change log.
In the maintenance screen, select one or more Data Store objects for which requests are to be deleted from the relevant change log tables under Data Store Object column and select theInfo Area of the corresponding Data Store Objects under Info Area
If you select the first check box exclude selction pattern, this means that del of requests from change log table will be ignored.

We can delete the requests which are Older than N-number of days (or) date in the above screen. For this one, enter the number of days (or) date in the filed Older than .
OR
If we want to select the requests with a certain status then we can also do in the above screen. We can select the following status indicators from the above screen.
Delete Successfully Updated Requests Only -This status will delete only requests which
are successfully updated into corresponding Data Store objects.
Delete Incorrect Requests that were not Updated - This status will delete only incorrect requests which are not successfully updated into the corresponding Data Store Objects.
Delete Activation Requests only, No Load requests- This status will delete only the activation requests (requests that begin with ODSR_... ). No load requests are deleted. -
How to get change log for z-fields in VBAk(Sales order)
Hi All,
Please help me in this.
My requirement is get the change log for z-fields in sales order.
In the sales order header level we have one tab Additioanl data.
In this we have z-fields, if we change any of the field value, it is accepting the same and updating in data base as well.
But it is not appearing in change log<. I.e. Environment->changes.
How to get the change log for the z-fields.
In data element level enable the check box of change document.
Please help me in this.

We are creating PO confirmation records via FM ME_CONFIRMATION_MAINTAIN_AVIS. However, no change document gets logged like it happens when you create PO confirmation records manually via ME22N or using the SAP standard IDOC ORDRSP!
If we want to include this functionality then how we should do it?
We want to see this in PO change log i.e. ME23N --->Item changes

PrashantThanks for this info, but when i checked this note it says "Add optional table 'T_EKES_UPD' with structure 'UEKES' to the interface of function module 'me_confirmation_maintain_avis'".
The function module has already this opttional parameter in place.
I am not filling this as it is optional.

Duplicate records in ODS change log
Hi Experts,
I have loaded records from R/3 to ODS (psa and then data target).
Records looks good in ODS active data.
Then I did a delta load from ODS to InfoCube and I have recevied are the changed entries to Cube.
Then, I checked the ODS and the Datamart status was Checked.
But, when I did a delta load again after couple of days from ODS to InfoCube, I received some duplicate records. I have checked the Change Log of ODS and the duplicate records were there.
I am not sure why my ODS is transporting entries from the ODS request for which there was a datamart status already checked.
( I cannot do selective deletion because there are about 1000 duplicate entries and in random order..).
I beleive my best bet would be to:
1. Delete both the delta load requests (the request with correct records and the request with duplicate records) from InfoCube.
2. Remove datamart status from ODS
3. Delta load from ODS to InfoCube
Please let me know if this will solve the issue or I will still get the duplicate records in InfoCube?

The entries in Active Data of ODS looks good. No duplicates.
When i checked Change log,
I had entries in ODS change log from two differnent requests.
Request1 (Full repair request via PSA) in ODS (ODSR_xxxx1) has records the same as in R/3
(eg., entry for DocumentA has keyfigure as value +$1000)
Request2 (Delta Load via PSA) in ODS (ODSR_xxxx2) has two records with posive and negative keyfigues
(eg, entries for DocumentA has keyfugure as value +$1000 and DocumentA has keyfugure as value -$1000)
So, not sure if I should call these records as 'duplicates'.
But, I see 3 entries in InfoCube for DocumentA with keyfigure values as +$1000, -$1000 and +$1000.
I beleive the ODS change log should actually cancel the earlier +$1000 and load the new +$1000 entry.
But, it seems to be not replacing the old one.
I hope i am clear. -
Is possible to keep a change log on a z table
Hi..
I made a z table which has a charge out rate and other details. This is updated via table maintenance view by the user.
I want to know whther it is possible to get a change log, for example if the user changed the charge out rate at a particular date, to get the date, name of the user logged in and say the price it was chnaged to and the earlier price which was thr..
If the price change details cannot be taken, is it atleast possible to get the date the change was made and the user name..
Any help is appreciated.

If you maintain your z-table in ABAP Dictionary (SE11), via the menu Go to ->Technical Settings, you have a checkbox 'Log data changes' down left. F1 on this checkbox gives you following explanation:
"Log data changes
The logging flag defines whether changes to the data records of a table
should be logged. If logging is activated, every change (with UPDATE,
DELETE) to an existing data record by a user or an application program
is recorded in a log table in the database.
Note: Activating logging slows down accesses that change the table.
First of all, a record must be written in the log table for each change.
Secondly, many users access this log table in parallel. This could cause
lock situations even though the users are working with different
application tables.
Dependencies
Logging only takes place if parameter rec/client in the system profile
is set correctly. Setting the flag on its own does not cause the table
changes to be logged.
The existing logs can be displayed with Transaction Table history
(SCU3). "
So don't forget: activating this checkbox will only help if you also activate parameter rec/client on system level.

Enter the contract which you want to see the changes log, then from menu-->Environment->Display changes, you will find the list you wanted.

PatrickUnfortunately there isn't. Check if you have the query in another system (test, development) and transport it again. You could also check if there is still an entry in RSRREPDIR but I don't think so.

Credit status change through Sales order - change log
Hi Friends,
I'm currently facing a scenario were it was reported by the client that
credit release is happening automatically.
Brief details :
Order was created on 4th Of Oct and it was blocked (reaches the VKM1 bucket )
since the customer reaches the credit limit.The same order on 5th Oct was not in VKM1
bucket were the status of order in Sales document header states that it's released.
Initial check : (Sales order change log)
1, I've checked the change log on 5th Oct were the field VBUK - CMGST "Overall status of credit checks changed" from B to A.
(( Status and details below
A - Credit check was executed and document is OK.
B - Credit check was exectued and Document is not OK (credit block).
C - Credit check was executed document not OK, Partial release.
D- Document released by Sales representative. ))
2, I tried to replicate the order status for block and release, But when I release through VKM1 / VKM3
the change logs are getting updated with Status - D .(ie from B to D) .
I'm wondering that what could be the reason that causes the system to update in the table - VBUK - CMGST from A to B
or because of what change from the client in the sales document header level could impact this changes.
Note - There is no payment which received from customer on that day.
Please let me know in case if you are getting the clue...

A simple credit check, as the name suggests, is very simple in nature. The functionality is limited and considers only open A/R items and open items from special G/L and sales orders for performing the credit checks. When you create/change a sales order that is relevant for a simple credit check, SAP calculates the payer/customeru2019s credit exposure by adding the open A/R balance for the customer, open item balances from the special G/L, and the net sales order value. Hi Guys,
Is there a way to change the "General Item Category Group" field in the material master without updating the change log. I am under the impression that It cannot be done without updating the change log.
But in my existing change log I can see the below lines:
"zexp" to "zsto" in 01.01.2005
"zexp" to "norm" in 10.03.2006.
There is no change log reflecting the change from "zsto" to "zexp".
